13th day in the US/Israel-Iran war! The sailor in the Strait of Hormuz talked about his experiences
The war between the USA/Israel and Iran also alarmed the states in the region. While the region has turned into a ring of fire for 13 days, the parties continue to attack and retaliate against each other. Following Iran’s latest decision on the Strait of Hormuz, the parties continue to criticize each other more harshly. Turkish sailor Çağrı Kaynak, who was in the Strait of Hormuz, told A Haber about his experiences in the region.
“WE ARE WITNESSING PRIVATE JETS TAKING AWAY”
“When the war started, we were in Kuwait Shuaybe Port, the bombings started there. We are currently waiting for instructions off the coast of Dubai. We saw with our own eyes that Patriot air defense systems were fired and missiles were flying in the air between 03.00 and 06.00 last night. Escapes from Dubai have started; we are witnessing private jets taking off every two minutes.”
“WE ARE WATCHING WITH THE OLD-FASHIONED METHODS”
Stating that the electronic war in the region directly affects the ships, Kaynak said, “We cannot receive a signal because the GPS systems are faulty, we are navigating with old-fashioned methods. Radio connections are very bad, satellite phones and ship internet do not work. We can only communicate with our families with our personal internet connection and limited resources.”

There has been abuse and excuses in Istanbul since 2019, there is no job
President Erdoğan blamed IMM at the 1st Phase Groundbreaking Ceremony of Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Hospital and the Mass Opening Ceremony of 16 Education and Dormitory Buildings of the University in Istanbul:
The project was designed in three stages and the aim was to simultaneously start construction and continue education and health services without disruption. For this purpose, 23 steel construction buildings of approximately 40 thousand square meters in size were built in the area that was normally planned to be built as the last phase.

In this way, the education of our young people studying here continued uninterruptedly and the health services provided to our citizens continued.
Since our hospital is located in an archaeological site, excavations were carried out here. As a result of these excavations carried out under the coordination of our Ministry of Culture, thousands of artifacts were unearthed and classified, and new ones were added to the cultural heritage. Using very special and new techniques, we moved these structures to another area in Cerrahpaşa. As a result of this process, which is cited as an example in the archaeological literature, a three-dimensional historical structure was successfully transferred to another location in Istanbul for the first time.

On the other hand, I leave this sad incident that we encountered throughout this process to the discretion of you and our beloved nation. Now look, my dear brothers; Cerrahpaşa Medical History Museum, Türkiye’s first and largest medical museum, is also located here. We completed the restoration of this museum, which houses the most important works of the Ottoman and Republican periods, in 2019, with the protocol signed during the late Kadir Topbaş period. In other words, the promises made within three years were kept. A legacy that was also entrusted to Gazi Mustafa Kemal was taken care of. However, the protocol also covers the processes related to the maintenance, classification and exhibition of the museum inventory, as well as restoration.
So what happened after 2019? What happened to Istanbul also happened to the protocol. He became a victim of the policy of not laying foundations, not doing any work, and making excuses. Unfortunately, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality does not fulfill any of its obligations. For this reason, the necessary work to display and promote more than 40 thousand works in the museum could not be carried out for a long time.
Work; Those who keep Ataturk’s name on their lips when it comes to politics and exploitation, did not protect either the legacy of Gazi Mustafa Kemal or the Museum of Medical History. On the contrary, they turned their backs. We continued our work with determination, regardless of any of these.

We stand with the oppressed and against oppression – Last Minute News
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 10th National Will Platform iftar last night. Erdoğan said that they were saddened that the Islamic geography was commemorated with pain, tears, conflicts and wars on these holy days and said:
While Gaza, where we lost 72 thousand martyrs, yearned for peace despite the ceasefire, Israel’s inhumane occupation policies in the West Bank were added to this. More than 1,120 Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have been killed by Israeli forces or settler terrorists in the last two years.
Children whose mothers send them to school with a rose on their cheeks become targets of missiles, bombs or bullets. Unfortunately, we are faced with the same saddening situation all over our geography, from our neighbor Iran to Yemen, from Sudan to Somalia.

What would happen if all the seas of a world were blue, where children who go to school happily in the morning cannot return home in the evening?
We saw this during the 13.5 years of oppression in Syria. We saw this in Somalia when people were starving. Some countries ignored the persecution and genocide. Some countries supported genociders like Israel.
The tragedy of tens of thousands of Gazan and Syrian children, whose families were completely destroyed, was not brought to the agenda even as much as a penguin separated from his flock, thanks to the false conscience of the virtual world. In such a world that has suffered from an eclipse of conscience, we, as Türkiye, are struggling together to be the conscience of humanity. We stand in solidarity with all the oppressed people in the world, especially our brothers in Gaza.
I want to declare this openly today. As long as this life is in this skin, we will stand by the oppressed and will not consent to oppression. We will not cower or remain silent in the face of pressure. Just like the bricks of the wall, we can break the ungrateful hands that reach for our independence and future as long as we stick together tightly, as in that rule.

WE WILL NOT FALL INTO TRAPS
Look, as the government, we act very carefully against schemes, traps and provocations that want to draw our country into war.
In this process, we are also taking necessary preventive actions against all kinds of threats that violate our airspace, just like the previous night. Türkiye’s thousands of years of ancient state wisdom and our government’s 23 years of crisis management experience are our greatest guide in reading the complex events around us and giving correct, measured reactions to them. Keeping our country away from this fire pit is our first priority.

BİLAL ERDOĞAN: MAY OUR BROTHERHOOD LAST FOREVER
Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Dissemination Foundation: “May God bring relief and peace to our brothers and sisters who are experiencing difficulties in Palestine, East Turkestan, Arakan and wherever they are in the world. I would like to thank the National Will Platform and all the organizations that contributed to this meaningful meeting. I congratulate our Night of Power and Eid al-Fitr in advance and greet you all with respect and love. May God grant our unity and peace.” I hope that our prayers will be accepted and our tables will be fruitful.”

KURTULMUŞ: THE WORLD IS ENTERING A NEW ERA
Emphasizing that the National Will Platform is a valuable civil society platform established to protect the will of the nation and the civilizational values of Türkiye, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, said: “The subject of this iftar is national unity. Especially in this period of great turbulence that we are going through, perhaps what we need more than anything else is national unity and solidarity. In this context, especially the world has entered a new era, there are no international rules, no international institutions left, and even international relations “We are entering a period where even its terminology is upside down.”

A decision was made in the case regarding the suspension of the former Mayor of Esenyurt Municipality, Ahmet Özer.
In the file number 2024/162302 of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, an arrest warrant was issued for Ahmet Özer within the scope of the investigation carried out on the charge of “Being a Member of the PKK/KCK Armed Terrorist Organization”. In this process, Özer was suspended from duty by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Istanbul Deputy Governor Can Aksoy was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Esenyurt. Ahmet Özer filed a lawsuit at the Istanbul 9th Administrative Court, claiming that the transaction in question was against the law, and requested the annulment of the suspension decision.

The court rejected the case in its decision dated February 6, 2026. In the decision, it was reminded that the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court sentenced Özer to 6 years and 3 months in prison for “Being a Member of the PKK/KCK/YPG/YDG-H Armed Terrorist Organization”. Although the court’s evaluation included the claim that the crime charged by the plaintiff was not related to duty, it was emphasized that considering the nature of the crime of membership in a terrorist organization and its impact on public duty, it was among the serious crimes that constitute an obstacle to public duty. The decision also stated that in case of serious allegations regarding terrorist crimes against mayors, suspension from office may be applied as a temporary measure in order to ensure that the investigation and prosecution processes are carried out properly. In this context, it was stated that the process regarding the appointment of the deputy mayor was in accordance with the law. In line with all these reasons, Istanbul 9th Administrative Court ruled to “reject the case” in the case filed by Ahmet Özer.
