AK Party Deputy Chairman Zafer Sırakaya, Foreign Turks and Related Communities (YTB) Deputy Chairman Abdulhadi Turus, and Science Dissemination Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Bilal Erdoğan, who was in Brussels within the framework of his contacts in Belgium, met with the citizens. Bilal Erdoğan chatted with citizens at the Fatih Mosque in Brussels and performed the Friday prayer.

Citizens showed love to Bilal Erdoğan, who also attended the funeral prayer of the Turkish citizen who lost his life in Belgium, at the exit of the mosque. Bilal Erdoğan, who also visited the Belgian Religious Foundation, met with Coşkun Beyazgül, General Manager of the Belgian Religious Foundation.

Participating in the event organized by YTB at the Belgian Religious Foundation hall, Bilal Erdoğan held a meeting with representatives of Turkish NGOs in Belgium.

Bilal Erdoğan was accompanied by Turkey’s Brussels Ambassador Barış Tantekin and Brussels Consul General Onur Sevim.

Bilal Erdoğan is expected to attend the iftar program to be organized by the Union of International Democrats (UID) in Brussels and the event to be held by YTB at TOBB Brussels Representation.

Mehmet Emin Korkmaz, a member of İyi Party, who insulted Eskişehir Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep Güneş on her clothes, was arrested and sent to prison on February 8, 2026, within the scope of the crime of “Instigating the Public to Hatred and Hostility”. The investigation launched against the suspect has been completed.

KORKMAZ’S SCANDAL POSTS ARE IN THE INDICTMENT

In the indictment, Korkmaz commented on the photo of Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep GÜNEŞ on his social media account with the following message: “Look at the Mayor of Eskişehir/Mihalgazi! Is the duty of this Political Islamist woman in shalwar to govern the district or to milk the cows in her barn? The poor man must have lost his place, this would suit the AKP too, what a long time we’ve had; Indeed, the mule has become a seal, my friend! The world left to the crows; Municipality, who is responsible for it! I swear, my mother manages BETTER than this; At least he is well-dressed and educated!” his scandalous posts were included.

“MY ACCOUNT WHERE SHARES WERE MADE FROM WAS STOLEN”

The indictment also included the statements of Korkmaz, who was detained and arrested after the posts. Korkmaz, who admitted in his statement that the social media account where the scandalous posts were made belonged to his cat, said that his account was stolen on the day the post was made, that he was aware of the post in the evening of the same day, that the post was not made by him, and that he did not make an official application to the law enforcement regarding the theft of the account.

In the statement made on the ministry’s virtual media account, it was stated that the teams of the General Directorate of Security and the Ministry of Justice officers meticulously tracked down the suspects who fled abroad and had a search warrant against them.

It was stated that the suspects caught with the joint cooperation with the law enforcement units of the relevant countries were extradited to Türkiye and said: “A total of 41 criminals, 23 of whom we were looking for with a red notice and 18 of whom we were looking for at the national level, were brought back to Turkey from Georgia (27), Bulgaria (5), Germany (2), Albania, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Iraq, England, Montenegro and Slovenia. Democratic integration is at least as important as the beginning of the Republic. It is a call that contains wealth and wealth in terms of meaning, future and power. At its core is the democratic society model. It is an alternative to segregationist or, conversely, assimilationist methods. The transition to democratic integration requires peace laws. The democratic society solution envisages the establishment of an architecture and law in political, social, economic and cultural dimensions.

DEMOCRACIC POLITICS…

The reason for many problems and crises experienced today is the absence of democratic law. We are based on a legal solution within the framework of democratic politics. We need an approach that will give space to a democratic society, give space to democracy and create strong legal guarantees for this.

Citizenship relations should be established on the basis of ties with the state, not on belonging to the nation. We take as a basis a free citizenship based on freedom in religion, nationality and thought. Just as religion and language cannot be imposed, neither should nationality. A constitutional citizenship relationship within democratic borders and based on the integrity of the state includes the right to freely express and organize religious, ideological, identity and national existence.

Today, no system of thought can survive without democracy as a basis. Ups and downs, tensions and crises are temporary, democracy is what will be permanent sooner or later. Our call aims to find a solution to the problem of living together and the crisis it creates, not only in Türkiye but also in the Middle East. We defend the right of all oppressed people to exist and express themselves freely.

Women are among the leading social forces that no society or state can sustain itself without taking into account. Today, domestic violence, femicides, patriarchal oppression are all current reflections of the historical attack that started with the enslavement of women. For this reason, women are the most liberal part and driving force of democratic integration.

The language of the period cannot be commanding and authoritarian. We should take as a basis to give the other person the opportunity to express himself correctly, to listen correctly, and to express his own truths.

The realization of all these issues requires a developed common mind based on mutual respect.

Citizens who were aggrieved by the İsmetpaşa Neighborhood Urban Transformation Project, which could not be implemented for years in Mersin’s Tarsus district, protested the CHP municipality. The contract between the municipality subsidiary TESKİ and the residents of the neighborhood was signed in March 2021. In the region covering approximately 600 houses, nearly 3 thousand citizens were informed that the houses would be built and delivered within 36 months, but the CHP municipality did not hit a single nail. It was noted that the CHP municipality, under the management of Mayor Ali Boltaç, prepared a new contract to cover the project expenses and tried to indebt citizens with higher amounts based on the new unit square meter price.

Rights holders gathered in front of the planned construction site and protested against CHP officials. The rights holders went to the notary, issued a counter-warning in response to the municipality’s warning, and demanded their rights as soon as possible. In the statement made by the victim group regarding the endless crisis, it was stated, “With this step, we have conveyed that we do not accept the new contracts that they want to force them to sign. We also explained that we cannot pay the increased square meter prices. We even reminded them once again in our notary letter that the contracts we have for 2021 are valid. İsmetpaşa District will remain the property of İsmetpaşa residents.”

Bilal Erdoğan, who closely follows the four large mosque projects implemented by the Turkish Religious Foundation in Skopje, Tirana, Kosovo and Montenegro, examined the ongoing works in Skopje on site. The mosque in Skopje, which was inspired by the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque in Istanbul Edirnekapı with its architectural lines and reflects the classical Ottoman style, is preparing to become one of the new symbols of the city with its elegant dome and balanced silhouette. The building, which has a closed prayer area for approximately 1,500 people, has a capacity to host 3,200 people at the same time, including the courtyard and open areas.

When completed, the mosque will serve as a versatile center with social and administrative areas such as Islamic Union offices, Religious Services consultancy units, library and book café. Within the scope of his visit; Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, who met with young people at the International Balkan University (IBU), founded under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2006, also touched upon the relations between the Balkans and Türkiye. Erdoğan said, “I believe that the International Balkan University can play a greater role in the future of North Macedonia.

This country’s attainment of a stable, strong structure with solid relations with Türkiye will not only increase its own prosperity; “It will make a much stronger contribution to regional balances and the common future,” he said. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, who came together with non-governmental organizations in North Macedonia at the iftar invitation of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities within the scope of his visit, gave messages of unity and solidarity in his speech there.
