DMM denied the allegations of ‘Türk Telekom’s transfer to a private company’
The Directorate of Communications’ Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) denied the allegations that “Türk Telekom’s services will be transferred to private companies and this will cause public harm.”
The statement made by the Directorate of Communications’ Combating Disinformation Center is as follows:
“The claims made in some media outlets and social media channels that “Türk Telekom’s services will be transferred to private companies and this will cause public harm” contain disinformation.
The application in question at Türk Telekom is routine operational processes that are widely used in the sector and do not imply any service transfer.
There is no alleged public harm in this business model, and the rumors that there will be a 100 percent increase in subscribers are also unfounded.
“We are kindly requested not to rely on speculative claims intended to mislead the public.”

AK Party Spokesperson Çelik: Israel has no rights over Palestinian lands
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik used the following statements in his post on his social media account:
“Israel has no rights or sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories or other occupied Arab territories.
Any threat by Israel to the sovereignty of friendly and brotherly Arab States is illegitimate.
“IT IS AN ACTIVITY OF SPATIAL GENOCIDE”
Israel’s attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip constitute an act of “spatial genocide.” The expansion of settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian lands is a clear attack.
The support of the US Ambassador to Israel for the killing of children in Gaza by the Netanyahu government is an inhumane and terrible approach. This Ambassador’s advocacy of the “Greater Israel” project, which aims to usurp the lands of some Arab states with a theo-political approach, is against the most basic legal principles and human values. Attempting to substitute theological-fanatic claims for international law would have dire consequences throughout the region. We radically reject and condemn in the strongest terms this approach that threatens sister states by defending Israel’s dominance in the Middle East.
Our President has repeatedly asked from the rostrum of the United Nations: “What are the borders of Israel?” By asking, he has been warning the whole world for years against the insidious plans of this aggressive and invasive mentality. Every development that has taken place has revealed how justified the warnings our President has been making for years from the UN rostrum in front of the eyes of the whole world were.
“GENOCIDE IS PART OF THE POLITICS…”
Advocating the killing of children is murder and genocide. Occupying the homes and homelands of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank is part of the policy of genocide. These are an attack on all human values.
We know that the fight against this mentality is a fight for humanity. Resisting this barbarism is the first step of what needs to be done both humanly and politically. We will continue to defend the sovereign and united State of Palestine, based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to fight genocidal enemies of humanity.

Urban transformation oppression from CHP municipality
The İsmetpaşa District Urban Transformation Project, which has turned into gangrene because it has not been implemented for years in Mersin’s Tarsus district, has made thousands of citizens living in the region miserable. The contract between the municipality subsidiary TESKİ and the residents of the neighborhood was signed in March 2021. Nearly 3 thousand citizens were staying in the area, which included approximately 600 residences. The beneficiaries were informed that the new houses will be built and delivered within 36 months after the license is received. Although the license was received in December 2023, the CHP municipality has not hammered a single nail in the region for years.

BACK TO THE SNAKE STORY
Tarsus Mayor Ali Boltaç announced that the excavation activities have started, but it has been learned that only a half-meter deep work has been carried out in the region so far. During this period, the victims were also shaken by the warning from the municipality. The municipality, which has not hammered a single nail in the project for 5 years, has now sent a warning to the beneficiaries for the new contract. Although it has not started construction for years, the municipality has prepared a new contract to cover the project expenses and is trying to indebt citizens with higher amounts based on the new unit square meter price.

COVERED THREATS
Veiled threats are also made, stating that legal action will be taken regarding the residences of citizens who do not sign the new contract. In this context, it was reported that some citizens waived their previous rights by signing a new contract, while some continued their legal struggle.
PREPARATIONS FOR NEW PROTEST
Claiming that they entered into this project by trusting the municipality, but that the municipality does not have a single penny in its safe, the rights holders state that they have suffered a heavy loss and request help from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. On the other hand, it was reported that many complaints and petitions were forwarded to both CIMER and the municipality during this process. Victimized citizens are preparing for a new protest in the region this week.

Türkiye’s floating islands are dazzling
65-year-old geographer Prof., who brought Türkiye’s hidden natural riches to light. Dr. İhsan Bulut transformed his nearly 25 years of research into a giant work. Bulut, who studied “floating islands” that move with the wind on lakes throughout his academic career, which started at Atatürk University in 1985, managed to introduce the subject into world literature with these studies.
25 YEARS OF RESEARCH
The journey of discovery began in 2000 when an American researcher requested information about the islands in Bingöl. The cloud scientifically proved that “floating islands” are formed when plants whose roots are not connected to the ground interlock and form a light mass made of water. Bulut, who discovered 32 floating islands all over Türkiye, from Bingöl to Erzurum, from Denizli to Artvin, collected his works in a two-volume book called “Türkiye’s Floating Islands”. The professor also conducted field studies at Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia; He emphasizes that these sensitive structures, which the local people call “posti” or “wandering island”, should be protected and brought into tourism.
