Earthquake tourists should come and see – Last Minute News

Published

on

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel went to the earthquake zone and made manipulative statements about the work carried out in the region. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reacted to Özel’s statements at the ceremony called ‘Look at the Power of My Turkey’ held the previous day. The AK Party, as well as the families of earthquake victims who settled in their homes, reacted to Özel’s ignoring rather than appreciating the construction of 455 thousand houses in 3 years within the scope of the ‘construction of the century’. Speaking to SABAH, the families said, “These things cannot be done by talking like that. Earthquake tourists should come and see.”

‘THEY ARE SHOPPING MUD’

* Hataylı Çayırcık family, who were trapped under the rubble when the apartment building they lived in collapsed in the disaster of the century and escaped with injuries, had found their new home built by TOKİ. Muhammet Ali Çayırcık (47), father of three children who works as a printing house, said, “As always, our President did not betray our trust. He did what he did again. He made everyone a homeowner. Those who could not bear it said, ‘It cannot be finished, it cannot be finished’, what happened? Thousands of buildings went up. CHP members are still trying to throw mud at it. They tried to build the historical Grand Mosque in Hatay, and they messed it up. What do you expect from CHP, which cannot build a historical mosque?

* Sıtkı Yılmaz, father of two children from Hatay, said, “We were very excited when we saw our house. They really built a beautiful house. Our President fulfilled whatever he promised. Those earthquake tourists were saying ‘it can’t be done’. They are welcome to come and see it.”

* Hatay earthquake victims Emine Alkaç (65) and Mustafa Alkaç (66) are also happy in their new home. Emine Alkaç, a mother of four children who moved to their house built by TOKİ in Güldere District of Hatay, said, “We never lost hope. We were sure that our houses would be delivered. There was no natural gas in the house I lived in for 30 years. Those who criticize our President should come and see these houses. These things cannot be achieved by talking like that.”

The National Education Academy opened its doors to teacher candidates as of yesterday. The preparatory training, which started with the first lesson given by the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, was implemented simultaneously in 12 application centers in 7 provinces. Minister Tekin, who met with teacher candidates at the Sultanahmet Training and Application Center in Istanbul, also addressed other centers via live connection. Minister Tekin defined teaching as “a covenant established in conscience” and emphasized that the profession is not only limited to transferring knowledge, but also plays a decisive role in the construction of a generation. Stating that teacher candidates are on the verge of a great responsibility, Tekin stated that this process should not be seen as an ordinary educational phase. One of the most striking aspects of the National Education Academy will be its structure that aims to close the gap between theoretical knowledge and classroom practice. Explaining that the program is planned to include approximately 600 hours of practice and 480 hours of direct teaching experience, Tekin said that teacher candidates will be better equipped for the field. The academy program is not limited to field knowledge only. A wide range of content is offered, from democracy culture to guidance, from family communication to critical thinking, from artificial intelligence to data-based evaluation. Thus, it is aimed to train teacher candidates with a versatile perspective.

FROM ROOTS TO THE FUTURE
Tekin also touched upon the Türkiye Century Education Model in his speech and stated that the new approach is based on a structure that integrates knowledge with skill and skill with value. Emphasizing that education is not only limited to academic success, Tekin stated that it is also considered as a process that strengthens cultural continuity and social memory.

NEW THRESHOLD FOR TRANSITION TO THE PROFESSION
Emphasizing that the National Education Academy is not a structure that replaces universities, Tekin stated that the aim is to ensure that teachers who are new to the profession go through a stronger preparation process. The academy aims to establish a strong interaction basis between experienced teachers and new graduates. With the new model, the transition to teaching process is no longer just an appointment phase, but is transformed into a planned, practice-oriented and holistic preparation period.
