The reactions grew like an avalanche! The person who insulted Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep Akgün was arrested
İYİ Party member Mehmet Emin Korkmaz shared the photo of Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep Güneş in local clothes on his social media account and used harsh expressions. Korkmaz included the following statements in his post:
“Is the duty of this political Islamist woman in shalwar suits to govern the district or to milk cows in her barn? The poor man must be lost in his place… At least my mother has the clothes and education!”

HARD REACTION FROM MINISTER GÖKTAŞ: WE WILL INTERVENE IN THE LEGAL PROCESS
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş made a statement on the subject from his virtual media account. Minister Göktaş said, “This immoral attack targeting our Mihalgazi Mayor, Mr. Zeynep Akgün, who has been elected by the votes of our nation for three terms, is a clear disrespect directed not only at a mayor, but at millions of women who stand by their labor, work, produce, add value to our country, and directly to the will of our nation. We will never accept or normalize this indecent and self-aware mentality directed at women. We will intervene in the legal process initiated for this action, which is not only a personal attack but also a crime.” he said.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that the person who insulted Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep Akgün was detained.
EXACT INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN STARTED
According to Minister Tunç’s statement, an ex officio investigation was launched by the Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility or humiliating” in accordance with Article 216 of the Turkish Penal Code, within the scope of crimes against public peace. It was stated that the suspect was detained within the scope of the investigation and judicial proceedings are continuing.
EMPHASIS ON HATE AND DISCRIMINATION
Minister of Justice Tunç stated that statements targeting a woman based on her clothing, beliefs and lifestyle clearly contain hatred and discrimination, and that such statements damage the honor and personality of the individual. Tunç emphasized that such ugly and discriminatory approaches cannot be accepted in any way.

HARD RESPONSE FROM AK PARTY: “THEY ARE FIGHTING WITH THE ESSENCE OF THIS LAND”
The reaction to the post in question was immediate. AK Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Gürhan Albayrak, in his statement, described Korkmaz’s statements as “insolence” and supported Zeynep Güneş. Albayrak emphasized that criticism over clothing is an attack on the will of the people.
Albayrak noted the following in his post:
“This superior mentality, which considers Anatolian women’s shalwar and traditional clothing as “ignorance”, has actually demonstrated its own ignorance. Attacking a president who has been elected by the votes of our citizens of Mihalgazi for 3 terms, through his appearance and clothing, is to insult the values of this nation. We condemn this indecent language that targets the will and clothing of the nation. Those who fight with the essence of this land are always doomed to lose. Your arrogance is our Anatolia.” “He could not defeat our wisdom and he will never be able to defeat it! We are always with our president Zeynep Güneş against these evil-mouthed types.”
Reacting to Korkmaz’s words, AK Party MKYK Member – Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu said, “This poor mentality, which thinks it is politics to attack women, beliefs and the values of our nation through our Mihalgazi Mayor Zeynep Güneş, has once again made clear that its real concern is not service, but hatred and humiliation. Making fun of a woman’s headscarf, clothes and lifestyle is not criticism, but immorality. It is not politics, it is lack of character. What you are disturbed about is Zeynep.” It is not the sun; it is the women who come out of the nation with their heads high. It is not your tongue that keeps this country alive, but those you despise, and know that anyone who speaks ill of the values of the nation will fall under that tongue sooner or later.” he said.
İYİ PARTY ÖZEL: HE WAS REFERRED TO THE DISCIPLINARY BOARD WITH A REQUEST FOR DEFINITIVE DISMISSAL
İYİ Party Secretary General Osman Ertürk Özel, in his post on his virtual media account, said, “Trying to humiliate people through their clothing choices is a rudeness that can only be done by despicable people. The Turkish woman, who gained the right to vote and be elected with Atatürk as a great republican achievement, can rule the world no matter what clothes she chooses. This is our view and stance. The person who used these outrageous expressions was cautiously referred to the disciplinary board with a request for definitive expulsion. Mihalgazi Mayor, precious Zeynep “We convey our wholehearted support to Güneş regarding the rudeness she has been subjected to,” he said.

We will continue to fight against the politics of hate. We will also hold this focus of hate, which attacked our president, to account on the legal grounds.” he said.
Çelik reacted to the social media post targeting Mihalgazi Mayor Güneş on his NSosyal account.
Conveying the party’s sincere greetings to Güneş, Çelik said:
“We express our gratitude to our citizens from all segments of society who condemn the poisonous language directed at our president. The common sensitivity of our female citizens from all walks of life and views against hate language is also valuable. We condemn the hate speech directed at our esteemed president. We will continue to fight against the politics of hate. We will also hold this focus of hate, which attacked our president, accountable on the legal basis. We expect the İYİ Party to do what is necessary against this focus of hate.”

Thus, it is aimed to train teacher candidates with a versatile perspective.

FROM ROOTS TO THE FUTURE
Tekin also touched upon the Türkiye Century Education Model in his speech and stated that the new approach is based on a structure that integrates knowledge with skill and skill with value. Emphasizing that education is not only limited to academic success, Tekin stated that it is also considered as a process that strengthens cultural continuity and social memory.
NEW THRESHOLD FOR TRANSITION TO THE PROFESSION
Emphasizing that the National Education Academy is not a structure that replaces universities, Tekin stated that the aim is to ensure that teachers who are new to the profession go through a stronger preparation process. The academy aims to establish a strong interaction basis between experienced teachers and new graduates.
