Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi stated at the iftar program with the families of martyrs and veterans held at the Grand National Assembly Ceremony Hall, hosted by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, that the Parliament is an exceptional place that keeps the memory of the heroes who died for independence alive forever.

Thanking the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Kurtulmuş, Çiftçi said, “This encompassing attitude of our Veteran Parliament, embracing the relics of our martyrs, is the strongest stance that reflects the conscience of our nation.” he said.

Emphasizing that the families of martyrs are the most precious trust, Çiftçi said that the martyrs sacrificed their lives to prevent the flag from falling to the ground.

Minister Gürlek underlined that the concept of children dragged into crime must change. Gürlek said, “Why does a child get involved in crime and why does he tend to violence? Pointing out that there are anonymous accounts on social media, Minister Gürlek said, “Fake accounts should not be opened. Our Ministry of Family and Social Services is working on people over the age of 15. If a person opens an account, he must bear responsibility for it. We will give time to accounts used anonymously. For example, we will say either switch to a real account within 4 months or your account will be closed.” he said.

Duran participated in the “Türkiye’s Peace Role in Conflict Zones from Media Perspective Panel” organized by the Directorate of Communications to discuss how the peaceful, mediator and facilitator role that Türkiye undertakes in times of international and regional crises is constructed and perceived through media discourses from a multi-dimensional communication perspective.
