Breaking news | Important messages from President Erdoğan at the Provincial Heads Meeting: We will win new hearts with our work and service policy
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “We will continue to recruit those who embrace our principles and want to do a good job for their country and nation in a peaceful and respectful atmosphere.” he said.
In his speech at his party’s Extended Provincial Heads Meeting held at the AK Party Conference Hall, Erdoğan prayed to God that the Day of Ashura and the month of Muharram, which both Turkey and the Islamic world understand today, will be auspicious.
Erdoğan expressed his best wishes to the friendly people and government of Venezuela, who were shaken by the two major earthquakes that occurred this morning, and stated that Türkiye was with them in these difficult days.
“IN OUR CONSIDERATION, MEMBERSHIP IS NOT JUST A REGISTRATION PROCESS”
Stating that, as the AK Party, they have a unique organizational power in the world today and that they are one of the largest and most widespread political movements not only in Türkiye but also in the world, with more than 11 million 500 thousand members, Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
“I would like to say this clearly once: In our vision, membership is not just a registration process. In our country, being a member means enlisting in the struggle to serve the nation. It means going through all kinds of sacrifices when necessary. It means taking the risk of all kinds of sacrifices. It means carrying the responsibility of this nation, this ummah in one’s heart. Devoting one’s heart to our ideals means giving life to our cause. The steel core of the AK Party has attached its destiny to our destiny, its people to our people, its heart to our hearts. All of our million and 500 thousand brothers are one. For this reason, we say this at every opportunity: We are not just a political party. We are a movement of people who believe in the same ideals and march towards the same future. I would especially like you to know that in our organizational understanding, the struggle to serve the nation begins. While we strengthen our relations with our members with this understanding, we also keep our bond with our people in their homes and workplaces. “We are the guests of our members from all over Türkiye. We consult with them about our struggle, our dreams for our country, and our goals for the Turkish Century.”
“THE APPROVAL TOWARDS OUR AK PARTY IS INCREASING DOUBLY AT EVERY LEVEL”
President Erdoğan said that they declared 2026 as the “year of neighborhood work” after breaking the record in the number of members.
Stating that they are working hard to reach more people and further strengthen their presence in the neighborhoods, Erdoğan stated that, with the efforts of the entire organization, they have turned 2026 into an opportunity to expand the AK Party family in terms of both the number of members and depth.
“I would like to thank our brothers who served our cause with love and shouldered our struggle in neighborhoods where the opposition did not even know their names, let alone their roads, and I wholeheartedly congratulate our neighborhood leaders.” Erdoğan said:
“Here, I would like to express this with great pleasure: The interest in our AK Party, which is the representative of the politics of work, service and brotherhood, is increasing exponentially at every level. Almost everyone who is looking for peace, looking for brotherhood and solidarity, and who wants to serve their city, district or town, wishes to do politics under this roof as a member of this family. We included a district mayor into our ranks on Monday and a member of parliament yesterday. Today, we will embrace our new mayors. Soon, we will join the AK Party family. ‘Welcome to us, you have brought joy to all our friends who will join us.’ I say. Hopefully, we will be in full solidarity from now on in the journey of serving the nation and the country, and we will not disappoint our people’s trust. “We will continue to recruit people who embrace our principles and want to do a good job for their country and nation in a peaceful and respectful atmosphere.”
“WE BECAME THE SERVANTS OF 86 MILLION”
Erdoğan stated that, in their opinion, politics is not a field of activity that looks down on the nation.
On the contrary, pointing out that society is the essential element, owner and founding subject of politics, Erdoğan emphasized that human beings and respect for people are the basis of political philosophies, whether at the local level or throughout the country.
Pointing out that every individual of the nation is equal and has the same value, Erdoğan said:
“Whether they vote or not, whether they support us or not, they are equally worthy of service and respect, without any discrimination. We have always acted with this understanding, whether in politics or in service. We have always respected whoever we are dealing with. We have never engaged in any behavior that would offend, hurt, or break the heart of our interlocutor. Hazrat Mevlana’s age-old motto ‘Be like the sun in love. Flows in friendship and brotherhood. Be like the night in covering up mistakes, be like the earth in humility, be like the dead in anger, whatever you are, either be as you are or be as you appear. We took their advice as our guide. With this understanding and within the framework of these principles, we became the servants of not only those who voted for us but also 86 million people. It is these qualities that make the AK Party indestructible in the hearts of the nation, despite all the attacks it has been subjected to. It is our primary duty to protect and protect them. “A compassionate, modest and respectful attitude when asking for votes from the voters, but an arrogant, patronizing and hurtful attitude after receiving the authority from the nation is not our attitude.”
Breaking news | Important messages from President Erdoğan at the Provincial Heads Meeting: We will win new hearts with our work and service policy
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “An approach that breaks the hearts of citizens, treats tradesmen rudely, and pursues show rather than action may be the political style of the opposition, but it is impossible for us to approve of this.” he said.
In his speech at his party’s Extended Provincial Heads Meeting held at the AK Party Conference Hall, Erdoğan said that, with the influence of social media, it has been seen that a disease called “interaction hunting” has spread both in society, in the public sector and in local governments.
Stating that while privacy is ignored in social media, the concept of private space has lost its meaning, being visible, coming to the agenda, being discussed, all kinds of values, including human dignity, have taken precedence over all kinds of sensitivity, Erdoğan said, “The anxiety of being on the agenda and staying on the agenda at all costs turns into a big trap after a while. To be honest, politicians also fall into this trap. Unfortunately, we witness some of our own friends being caught in this reverse current, knowingly or unknowingly.” he said.
Emphasizing that one should be careful against such mistakes, which do not benefit them politically or in terms of communication, but, on the contrary, harm the AK Party, Erdoğan continued as follows:
“An approach that breaks the hearts of the citizens, treats the tradesmen rudely, and pursues show rather than action may perhaps be the political style of the opposition, but it is impossible for us to approve of this. No friend of mine, regardless of his duty, title or position, should not forget that we all came to our seats with the approval and approval of the nation. Our nation has entrusted us with the trust to serve it, produce works and increase its welfare. Places to serve the nation are not places of demonstration, They are responsible authorities. When we appear before our citizens, when we knock on the doors of our tradesmen, we have to act in accordance with our duty and with the weight of the trust we carry when we use public power.
As I always say, the point is to win hearts and conquer hearts. No digital platform or application can replace ruberu communication, face-to-face interaction, and a warm and level-headed conversation. If that were the case, the situation in politics today would be very different. If that were the case, this nation would not have contradicted those know-it-alls who gave us a political life before every election. If it were so, politics and social engineers would have achieved their goals. If the election had been won with the wind of social media, there would be others in power and in the presidency today. Of course, we will not ignore new media tools and the asymmetric opportunities provided by technology. We will share what we do, our services and our actions in the best possible way with our people, especially with new generations, by using these channels. But we won’t be trapped in echo chambers on social media.”
“WE CAME TO SERVE THE NATION, BUT TO BE SERVANTS”
Stating that they will continue to serve the public with dignity, courtesy and a democratic culture since he served as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Erdoğan said that he expects all his companions and companions, from organization managers to MPs, from ministers to mayors, to act with these principles and principles.
Erdoğan said, “We have come to serve the nation, to be servants, not to act like lords.” he said.
Emphasizing that, on the one hand, they work hard to bring cities to life, on the other hand, they stay away from unnecessary polemics with their political rivals, Erdoğan said, “Slandering, vilifying the interlocutor, and trying to profit from the impotence of the interlocutor is not our style of politics. Those who expect us to be a part of the boatmen’s fights will wait in vain.” he said.
Erdoğan said that they are concerned with doing business and completing the work, adding:
“We are seeking to win new hearts with our policy of work and service. Of course, I find it useful to express this clearly here; avoiding tension and polarization does not mean that we will remain indifferent to the violation of the rights and laws of our people. We did not receive permission from the nation only for service. We also received it to defend the dignity, dignity and freedom of our brothers who have been postponed, damaged and pushed here and there in their own homeland for years. During the February 28 period, we received the permission of the coup plotters. We received authority from our nation to ensure that our people who were victimized will not be subjected to the same tyranny again.
We have shown great sensitivity on this issue for 23 years. We neither intervened in someone else’s lifestyle, nor did we allow the arrogant minority that sees itself as the owner of this country to impose its lifestyle. We neither interfered with someone else’s faith, nor did we tolerate the current representatives of the Jacobin mentality interfering with our people’s beliefs. Despite this, although not as much as before, we are witnessing attempts by the very vocal monuments of arrogance to silence, intimidate, discipline and threaten the silent majority. We continue our fight against them on the basis of law and democracy. “I want it to be known that, as the government, we will not allow the revival of the oppressive mentality that sees this country, which still longs for the February 28 period in the Turkey of 2026, as its title deed property.”
“A SMALL, NARROW CLINIC CANNOT DICTATE THE LIFESTYLE OF THIS NATION BY ABUSED OF THE CONCEPT OF SECULARISM”
Stating that their principle is freedom of belief, Erdoğan said, “It is guaranteed by our Constitution. Moreover, the lifestyle of 86 million people is under our guarantee. No one can impose or put pressure on another. A small, narrow group cannot dictate the lifestyle of this nation by exploiting the concept of secularism. I express this clearly here. As in the past, Anatolia was a country where a handful of arrogant people pointed their fingers at society and scolded them and discriminated women according to their attire.” “The days when people were insulted by calling them reactionaries, reactionaries and bigots are now over.” he said.
Stating that those who miss their old privileges and old nobility will not remain idle, those dark times will never return as long as they are in office, Erdoğan said: “We will definitely not tolerate anyone in this country being humiliated, insulted, feeling left out or alienated because of their hair, beard, linen, robe or headscarf. We will continue to grow Türkiye, to grow our Republic, to expand the rights and freedoms for each of our citizens, “We will continue to see all 86 million people as one, together and equal.” he said.
Notes
After his speech, Mayor Erdoğan pinned the badges on the mayors who joined the AK Party.
Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, Ankara Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan and Edirne Keşan Mayor Mehmet Özcan joined the AK Party.
Some Keçiören Municipal Council members also joined the AK Party with Özarslan.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: We will not be a part of this shame and this plague
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s statement is as follows:
I have never considered it right to use any belief as a material for politics and propaganda at any time in my life. It will not allow the month of Muharram and the day of Ashura, which are the most exceptional times of the Islamic faith, to be subject to political polemics, tensions, fights, propaganda accounts and abuse; At least we will not be a part of this shame and this plague.
In our opinion, social and spiritual values; It is much more valuable than political fortune calculations and daily political gains. The care that must be shown towards these values is above all political calculations and expectations. With this understanding, we came to the conclusion that it would be more correct, more meaningful and more accurate not to physically participate in the Ashura event, even though it is included in our program, due to the atmosphere created in it. Because sometimes the best stance is not to appear in the crowd; Not to be a part of using faith as a material for politics. I share with you my message for the Ashura event as a sign of our unity and love; I greet all our souls, whom I believe will understand us most accurately, with my most heartfelt feelings, and I hope that the climate of unity, brotherhood and truth of the month of Muharram and Ashura will bring goodness to all of us.

With this determination, we are examining past files one by one through the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department, which we established within our Ministry. As a result of the comprehensive work carried out since the day our Department started operating, we have been able to bring to light 19 unsolved murders in 16 files.
This success achieved in a short time is a result of the close coordination and unshakable harmony between the institutions of our state under the strong leadership of our President. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to all relevant institutions and organizations, especially our Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Mustafa Çiftçi, with whom we work shoulder to shoulder.

No unsolved murder will remain in the dark; Justice will definitely be manifested sooner or later.

Remarkable message from the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin: We exceeded the world averages
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, in his statement to journalists after his visit to Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, said that Rize, where he spent his high school years, has a special place for him.
Reminding that the academic year will end tomorrow, Tekin stated that an academic year full of sacrifices, challenging but also beautiful events has been completed.
Tekin thanked the teachers and wished the students a summer holiday where they could spend time with their families and improve themselves in different aspects.
Yusuf Tekin stated that he also has a request from the parents and said, “Please let them spend plenty of time with their children. Let them take advantage of the opportunity offered by the holiday in this way. I wish our students a happy holiday in advance.” he said.
Emphasizing that they have taken important steps regarding education and training processes in Türkiye since 2002, Tekin continued as follows:
“We have transformed both the physical, technological and academic infrastructure of education throughout Turkey in a revolutionary manner. We have exceeded the world averages in terms of the number of students per classroom and teacher in Türkiye. On this occasion, I would like to thank our President in every environment, may God bless him for making us feel this pride as an educator, an academician and a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.”
Tekin pointed out that they have traveled across Türkiye from province to province since June 2023 and made the following assessment:
“In every province, we make evaluations both in terms of physical capacity and academic infrastructure. If there are demands, we listen to those demands. We chat with our teacher friends. Since the day I became minister, we have created a consultation mechanism with our teacher friends, called ‘Teachers’ Chamber’. In every province I visit, we come together with our teacher friends, with or without notice, and make evaluations. All the steps we have taken and all the changes we have made so far have either been requests from our teacher friends in a teachers’ room, or we have consulted with our friends in the teachers’ room about the things we are thinking of doing. “No step has been taken without this consultation. I care about this because this is in the culture of the Turkish state tradition, which has a history of thousands of years. There is an understanding of living together, governing together and making decisions together. I am trying to pay attention to this and we will have similar meetings and meetings in Rize today.”
THERE ARE 3 THOUSAND 517 CLASSROOMS IN RIZE
Stating that there were 2 thousand 847 teachers and 71 thousand 841 students in Rize in 2002, Tekin continued as follows:
“While we had approximately 80 thousand students, we were serving here with 2 thousand 847 teachers. Although our number of students has decreased to 59 thousand 139 compared to 2002, our number of teachers has almost doubled. This is a very important indicator. Thanks to this, the number of students per teacher in primary schools in 2002 was 26. In other words, while there were 26 students for one teacher, today the number of students per teacher in primary schools is 15 and in secondary schools is 11. This is a lot.” “It is an important indicator for us. The number of students per teacher in secondary education institutions is 8 in Rize. In other words, there are 8 students per teacher in our high schools, which is truly an indicator above the international averages.”
Tekin pointed out that in 2002, 71 thousand 841 students took classes in 2 thousand 923 classes, and today, although the number of students decreased to 59 thousand, the number of classrooms was increased by more than 50 percent and said:
“We teach in 3 thousand 517 classrooms. In return, the number of students per classroom in primary schools and secondary schools in 2002 was 21, but now it is 15. The average number of students in a classroom is 15. Likewise, the number of students per classroom in high schools was 25, but now it is 13. These numbers are really very important. Is it just this? Surely not only this. For example, currently there are 3 thousand students in a classroom in Rize.” All of our 500 classrooms have internet access, and all of these classrooms have interactive whiteboards. While we have improved the physical capacity of our schools, we have also improved the technological infrastructure. What happens as a result of these? Last year, OECD’s TIMSS scores were announced. Turkey is among the top 5 among OECD countries and European countries. But the OECD director said. “Türkiye’s extraordinary leap,” he said. “These are indicators that show that all the physical and technological infrastructure we have built has a very positive impact on the content and quality of education in Rize.”
Minister Tekin later met with teachers during his visit to Rize Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
Tekin was accompanied by Governor Baydaş, Deputy Mayor Abdulkadir Öksüz, Provincial Director of National Education Halil İbrahim Akmeşe and other relevant persons during his contacts in the city.

Breaking News: President Erdoğan spoke at the Muharrem Orucu Iftar Program | Video
“Even though the bodies fell to the ground one by one on the 10th Muharram day of the year 61 Hijri, truth and truth did not fall to the ground.”
Emphasizing that the pain is still fresh even though 14 centuries have passed since the Karbala incident, President Erdoğan said, “As Muslims, we will hopefully celebrate the Day of Ashura tomorrow. I remember with mercy and respect the Serdar-ı Şehidan Shah-ı Karbala, His Holiness Hüseyin Effendi, and his more than 70 companions on the 1387th anniversary of their martyrdom. I commemorate the pain of Karbala. We still carry it in our hearts, we still feel the sadness, bitterness, sorrow and sorrow of Karbala deep in our hearts.
We have been experiencing the grief of the martyrdom of our Prophet Hussein and his companions, whom the Sultan of Hearts kissed and smelled, saying ‘My flower in the world’, for 14 centuries, just like that day. Dear souls, even though bodies fell to the ground one by one on the 10th of Muharram in the year 61 Hijri, truth and truth did not fall to the ground. Even though the tents were set on fire, the lamp of the love of Ahl al-Bayt never went out. We all know this truth very well; Respect and devotion to Ahl al-Bayt are the essence and leaven of this nation. Every inch of Anatolia has come alive with the love of Ahl al-Bayt. “Every rose of our bond of love has bloomed with the love of the Ahl al-Bayt entrusted to us by our Prophet, and these roses have spread a prophetic fragrance throughout our civilization geography,” he said.
“Our Lord’s command, ‘O believers, hold tightly to the rope of Allah, all of you, and do not become divided’ is our strongest shield against attempts at discord.”
Emphasizing the need to be careful against the seeds of discord, President Erdoğan said, “Our Lord’s command, ‘O believers, all of you, hold tightly to the rope of Allah and do not fall into discord’ is our strongest shield against attempts at discord. The advice of our Prophet, who said, ‘A believer is like a building made of bricks tightly interlocked for his fellow believer’ is our recipe for salvation. Hünkar, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli’s “The call ‘let’s be united, let’s be big, let’s be alive’ is the foundation of our eternal brotherhood as a nation. The tighter we hold on to these, the more peaceful we will be, with God’s permission, and we will continue to leave the passions of the centers of discord in their tracks,” he said.
“We did not treat anyone differently because of their belief, sect, disposition or worldview, we treated everyone with a ‘Yunus’ evil eye”
Pointing out that they have approached every citizen with the same feeling since the first day they took over the duty of governing Türkiye, Erdoğan said:
“We did not treat anyone differently because of their belief, sect, disposition or worldview, we treated everyone with a ‘Yunusian’ evil eye. We never neglected our Alevi lives. We took a very close interest in all their problems. With the Alevi Bektashi Culture and Cemevi Presidency, which we established in 2022, we have intensified our efforts to ensure that the services in our cemevis are carried out effectively and efficiently on an institutional basis. As of today, The lighting expenses of 1,133 cemevi all over our country are covered by our presidency. In the last three years, we have provided significant support of 800 million lira to the maintenance, repair and furnishing purchases of 533 cemevi. As of March 2026, we will provide services to 500 cemevi in 11 provinces affected by the February 6 earthquakes. As a state, we have met the needs of 113 cemevi in these areas. The construction and restoration works of 13 cemevi in our 7 provinces are continuing. I hope these will be completed in a very short time. We will continue to stand by our Alevi citizens and care for you, our precious souls. I hope that our sincere love and this pure brotherhood will last forever. “I commemorate our Prophet Hussein and our martyrs of Karbala with great decency and hope that our Mah-i Muharram fasts will strengthen our unity and solidarity. I thank you for honoring our table. I greet you all with respect and love.”
