“WE INVITE THE PARTIES TO END THE ATTACKS”

We are deeply concerned about any action that violates international law and threatens the lives of innocent civilians, and we condemn any provocation that could lead to escalation of violence. We invite the parties to end the attacks as soon as possible.

‘Türkiye IS READY FOR MEDIATION’

We emphasize once again that the issues in our region must be resolved through peaceful means. Türkiye is ready to provide the necessary support in mediation.

The safety of our citizens living in relevant countries is our priority and all necessary precautions are taken in this regard.

Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran shared a post on his social media account about the tension between the USA, Israel and Iran. Stating that it is “an unacceptable situation that the recently escalating tension between the USA, Israel and Iran has turned into a hot conflict and affected other countries in the region,” Duran said in his post:

“It is a serious source of concern for our region and global peace.

The developments threaten the stability and security of civilians not only in the party countries but also in a wide geography. In this context, dialogue and negotiation mechanisms must be immediately reactivated.

Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye has always, in principle, been in favor of permanent peace, regional stability and the search for solutions based on international law.

Turkey will continue to fulfill its responsibility to reduce tensions, protect civilians and operate diplomatic channels effectively.

Before the COP31 Climate Summit to be held in Antalya, hosted by Türkiye, the “COP31 Digital Coordination Center” was launched by the Zero Waste Foundation. The center contains comprehensive information about COP processes, Türkiye’s climate journey and COP31. With the COP31 Zero Waste Summit Guide on the platform, participants are offered a practical road map to implement sustainable behaviors. The guides and documents section also includes technical information and participation procedures. Individuals and institutions can directly contribute to the process through online “Share Your Opinion” and “Become a Stakeholder” forms. Applications; It will be evaluated in line with criteria such as target audience, geographical scope and scalability. Thanks to the Be a Stakeholder platform, it is aimed to identify organizations that want to develop collaborations compatible with UNFCCC priorities and to include them in the COP31 process. In her social media post regarding the launch of the COP31 Digital Coordination Center, First Lady Erdoğan said, “The ‘COP31 Digital Coordination Center’, implemented by our Zero Waste Foundation, brings together NGOs, the private sector and our citizens on the same ground. This meaningful step will lead to the COP31 process being realized with more active, more fair and broad-based participation. The digital center, which will accelerate sustainable transformation, will allow everyone who is nature-friendly to convey their ideas and be a stakeholder in global climate diplomacy.” “I hope it will happen,” he said.

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, regarding the call made from İmralı on the anniversary of February 27, said: ‘Today’s statement is an important stage. “The report should be done accordingly,” he said.
