Master means dignity and courage
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 12th Necip Fazıl Awards Ceremony organized by Star Newspaper at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Erdoğan briefly said the following in his speech here:
I hope that the 12th Necip Fazıl Awards, organized this year with the theme “Conquer the Infinite”, will be beneficial for our country and nation, especially our science, culture and art community. Necip Fazıl Awards, which we have traditionally presented to their owners every year since 2014, have gained a canon-forming quality in our world of art and thought as of today. These awards have opened a new window to our world of culture, art and ideas, exactly as we envisioned 12 years ago.

“TAKE MY ROSE, GIVE MY ROSE, IT’S OVER”
It has contributed significantly to breaking the “take it, give it a treat” mentality that has left Türkiye’s culture and arts basin barren. Just like today, the precious works of our award winners adorn our garden of civilization, full of unique beauties, with new products and new flowers. Moreover, these works also contribute to the growth of new generations and young writers in a healthy cultural and artistic climate.

Necip Fazıl means, first of all, dignity and courage. Because, according to the master who kneaded the ideas of the youth through his suffering, a just cause cannot be explained in a doomed manner. In his imagination, achieving victory and receiving the good news is only possible by enduring persecution and suffering, enduring difficulties and pressures, and always standing tall. The Master expressed this principle clearly and clearly with the saying, “Allah does not give blessings to those whom He does not make suffering.” A Muslim can never tolerate his face bowing to the ground, especially his mental impotence. The youth of love and faith, to whom the master dedicated his Sakarya poem, grew up and grew up with this consciousness and took root all over Anatolia.

FIGHTED OPPRESSION
I am a brother of yours who had the honor of meeting the Master and received his appreciation and reward. Necip Fazıl has always had a special place in my political struggle that has lasted half a century. We and our generation learned from Necip Fazıl how to wage an honorable and honest struggle of ideas. We learned from him not to give up in the face of pressure, not to consent to oppression, and not to remain silent in the face of injustice. The late Necip Fazıl never hesitated to shout out the truth for his nation, the values he believed in and his cause, even at the expense of being investigated.

The master, who said, “Gutters are in pairs; light flows from one, dirt from the other,” struggled with blasphemy, dirt, evil, cruelty and cruelty throughout his life. The Master guided the youth who were looking for a way out, especially in the dark and chaotic atmosphere of the 1970s that spread to the streets, instilled self-confidence, and gave them an awareness of history and self.

He embroidered the ideal of the Great East, which is the standard bearer of a non-negotiable faith, contemplation and cause awareness, to young hearts like a hoop frame. The youth that the late Necip Fazıl suffered and planted the seeds of ideas and action, thank God, has come to fruition today. The youth who shouldered the Turkish Century, the youth who built the future of our country are here with us.

From defense industry to politics, from sports to culture and art; It will put its stamp on the era in every aspect of life, “Who is there?” When asked, “I’m in!” without looking left or right. A youth that will roar… Conscious, educated, visionary, equipped; Here is the youth who are devoted to their homeland, flag, state, nation, history, identity and essence, who shoulder the burden of the oppressed and victimized, and who set out to conquer the infinite.

May God bless this youth who did not let down the flag of the master’s cause. Don’t let a stone touch their feet. I hope that he will make us civil servants and graduates to walk the path with this youth and eliminate the obstacles in front of this youth.

THE END OF THE Pharaoh of Gaza will also come
Those who understand MASTER Necip Fazıl best are the artists. Those who inherit his literary legacy will be scholars and artists. This year, we are giving awards to 9 valuable names in 8 different categories. We present our poetry award to Celal Fedai. The winner of our story-novel award is Tarık Tufan.

We present our Idea-Research award to Ms. Peren Birsaygılı Mut. I would like to thank and congratulate our teacher Peren, who has contributed to the establishment of solid and genuine literary bridges by introducing the Palestinian poets and writers who have a Palestinian pulse and who recorded the genocide in Gaza with their pen and words to the Turkish reader.

On this occasion, I wish God’s mercy to more than 71 thousand Palestinian brothers and sisters who were martyred in the Israeli attacks in Gaza. I hereby convey my feelings of solidarity to all the Palestinian people who are trying to hold on to life in the cold of winter and who maintain the spirit of resistance and resurrection no matter what the conditions. We see the situation of the Palestinians in those tents, in winter, in the rain and in the mud.

MASTER’S CONTRIBUTIONS WERE DISCUSSED
At the ceremony, where Minister of CULTURE and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy also made a speech, Necip Fazıl’s contributions to the world of literature were once again emphasized.

While the award winners touched upon the importance of literature and art in their thank you speeches, they stated that it was a pride for them to receive an award in the name of a great name like Necip Fazıl. At the end of the program, President Erdoğan gave the awards to the award winners and then took a souvenir photo with the award winners.

Statement from DMM regarding ‘preparation for war’ allegations
In the statement made on the DMM’s virtual media account, “The allegations made in some social media accounts that the appointments of the Head of the Department of Emergency Situations and Defense Planning to the ministries are preparations for a war, citing regional developments, do not reflect the truth. These positions, which were created and appointed in the central organizations of the ministries, were strengthened by the Presidential Decree dated October 16, 2025, strengthening the coordination between public institutions in the processes related to preparations for disasters and emergencies, civil defense activities and mobilization.” “This regulation is a part of the institutional structuring aimed at increasing the crisis management capacity in public administration. Therefore, the appointments in question do not indicate any war preparations, as claimed, but are merely the implementation of a pre-planned institutional arrangement aimed at strengthening inter-institutional coordination in the fields of disaster, emergency and civil defense. The public is kindly requested not to rely on manipulative and unrealistic content aimed at creating fear and panic.”

“The first week of the war shook the balance, not Iran.”
According to Şahin, the shooting of a school in Minab, Iran, in the first hours of the war and the death of many girls caused deep outrage in the global public. Stating that this incident affected the international conscience, Şahin said, “This situation, which occurred in the very first hours of the war, caused the USA and Israel to suffer a serious loss of legitimacy in the global public opinion.”
Deputy Şahin stated that the attacks had a result contrary to expectations in Iran’s domestic politics and said, “Before the attack, there was serious tension between secular segments and regime supporters. However, foreign intervention united Iranian society within itself.”
“A STRONG SENSE OF SOLIDARITY ALSO IN SHIA COMMUNITIES”
Stating that the attack on Iran’s religious leader Ali Khamenei and the regime debates also produced a different result, Şahin said that such developments created a strong sense of solidarity not only in Iran but also in Shiite communities around the world.
Şahin also emphasized that the possibility of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz creates serious turbulence in the global economy. Stating that this development directly affects the world energy markets, Şahin stated that the responsibility has begun to be attributed largely to the USA and Israel in the international community.
Stating that important discussions have begun in US domestic politics, Şahin stated that criticism against the Donald Trump administration has increased, especially in the context of the upcoming elections. Şahin said that the American public is starting to question Israel’s influence in US foreign policy more openly.
Stating that the Gulf countries are faced with a situation stuck in the middle of the war, Şahin said that the fact that the US military bases in the region cannot provide the expected protection in terms of security has initiated a serious strategic questioning in these countries.
Stating that there has been a remarkable transformation in European public opinion, Şahin said that while sympathy for Iran has emerged in some European societies, especially in Spain, criticism towards Israel has increased.
“A PROLONGED WAR COULD FURTHER CONSOLIDATED IRAN INTERNALLY”
Şahin also stated that the cautious and silent attitude of China and Russia, which are seen as Iran’s allies, throughout the process attracted attention in the international community. He stated that this situation could start a new discussion between the allies of the countries in question.
Stating that the balances in the region may become more complicated if the war is prolonged, Şahin made the following assessment:
“A protracted war could further consolidate Iran internally. In turn, it is possible that the political costs for the United States and Israel will increase both regionally and globally.”
Şahin completed his evaluation with the following words:
“We need to wish for the best, but we also need to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. Re-engaging diplomacy and negotiation channels is vital for regional and world peace.”

Relatives were hired, a fight broke out in the parliament
The recruitment of a large number of personnel in a short period of time in the CHP Edirne Municipality led to harsh discussions in the municipal council. At the meeting, there was a war of words between Mayor Filiz Gencan and AK Party Council Member Celal Demir. Mayor Gencan stated that plumbing installations in houses are continuing within the scope of infrastructure works in the Kaleiçi region, and that experienced personnel have been included in the process to carry out the work quickly and healthily. AK Party Council Member Demir criticized the hiring of a large number of personnel in a short time. Demir said, “Was it really necessary to recruit 220 people urgently? A total of 293 people were recruited. However, only 60-70 of them were recruited through advertisements.” Claiming that the principles of merit and transparency were not observed in recruitment, Demir said, “The daughter-in-law of the deputy mayor, the son of the Kırklareli district chairman, the wife of the central district chairman, the disciplinary board member, the nephew of the Tekirdağ CHP deputy, the elder brothers, sisters and wives of the brothers of the municipal council members were recruited. The son of the central district chairman and the wife of the provincial deputy chairman were also included in the list.”
