President Erdoğan: As Türkiye, we are on the side of peace
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the iftar program with members of parliament at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. Stating that they are careful not to harm even a single hair of the 86 million people while missiles are flying in the air in our region, and that they will continue to be astute in the face of injustice, President Erdoğan said, “As Turkey, we are on the side of peace.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated the Ramadan Sharif of the deputies, their families and the nation in his speech at the iftar program with the deputies held at the Parliament Hall of Honor, hosted by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş.
Praying to God that the holy month, in which the doors of mercy, forgiveness and abundance are opened, will bring goodness to the Islamic geography and humanity, especially the oppressed geographies, Erdoğan said that it is the only parliament in the world with the title of “Gazi”, which has the honor of being the only parliament that started and successfully completed a nation’s struggle for independence, which gifted golden pages to history with the decisions taken at critical times for the state, nation and homeland, and who, during the July 15 coup and invasion attempt, He expressed his great pleasure in coming together in a spiritual atmosphere with the valuable members and deputies of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, who bravely resisted and deserved the title of “Gazi” for the second time.
Important statements from President Erdoğan!
Commemorating with gratitude all the deputies who have sincerely served their nation, state and homeland for 106 years since April 23, 1920, Erdoğan wished God’s mercy to the deputies of the Veteran Parliament who duly protected the trust of the nation but are no longer alive.
Erdoğan said, “I would like to wholeheartedly thank our Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly for bringing us together around this beautiful iftar table and every brother who contributed to the organization.” he said.
President Erdoğan once again defended the sacred cause of the brave men who challenged the invaders with the belief of “Either independence or death”, which was embodied in the lines “This homeland is obligatory, even if it dies, even if it dies/The back of the globe does not bear the body of this coffin” read by Gazi Mustafa Kemal, the Commander-in-Chief of the War of Independence, from the rostrum of the Supreme Assembly during the most painful days of the War of Independence. Expressing that he greeted him with utmost respect, he continued his words as follows:
“Yes, this country will not die. It is impossible for it to die. Even if that impossible happens, the whole world will collapse under this weight. For this reason, ‘Türkiye is bigger than Türkiye.’ This sentence is not an ordinary word or a bold statement. This expression, as mentioned in the name of our Gazi Assembly, is the determination and registration of the faith, will and love of a nation that is aware of its own existence. As representatives of the noble and essential nation, today you represent that belief, that love, that will. “I would like to thank each and every one of you on behalf of myself, my country and my nation.”
“OUR WORLD IS DRAWING TOWARDS A CHAOTIC PERIOD”
Emphasizing that not only the region and geography but also the world as a whole is going through critical periods, Erdoğan underlined that we are all experiencing an axis shift at the global level, where international institutions and organizations become ineffective, the balance of power gradually deteriorates, international agreements turn into a patchwork, international law is largely shelved, and the traditional understanding of diplomacy is abandoned.
President Erdoğan stated that the world system established after World War II was crumbling and shaking from its foundations, that the world was getting hot enough to ignite at the smallest spark, and that global injustice was becoming deeper and more chronic, and that while the old order was collapsing, it was not yet known exactly what would be replaced.
“Our world is rapidly drifting towards a chaotic period where brute force and the law of the strong prevail.” Using the statement, Erdoğan pointed out the process that started with attacks on neighboring Iran.
Erdoğan said, “On this occasion, we are witnessing these once again. Principles such as multilateralism, sovereign equality, and resolution of disputes through diplomacy, symbolized by the United Nations system, have been turned into idols that are eaten when hungry by the founders of this system. Those who have been talking to us about law, human rights and freedoms for years, themselves ignore these values today and see no harm in violating them.” made his assessment.
“WE ARE ON THE SIDE OF EASTING THE TEARS OF THE OPENED AND PREVENTING OPPRESSION”
President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye’s attitude is clear in such a sensitive conjuncture where uncertainty, tension, conflict and lawlessness have become the norm, and continued as follows:
“We are never neutral on issues that concern our region and humanity. We are not neutral on incidents that disturb the peace of our brothers and neighbors. We are not neutral on issues that threaten the future of the whole world. On the contrary, as Turkey, we are on the side of peace, tranquility and stability, solidarity and cooperation, universal values, justice and development, solving problems through dialogue and diplomacy, negotiation instead of conflict, peace instead of war. Not murder, massacre, banditry, genocide and genocidaires, “We are on the side of right and truth, keeping people alive wherever they are. We are on the side of relieving the tears of the oppressed and preventing oppression. Hopefully, we will always maintain this line and this stance. Just as we have come to these days by breaking the rules, just as we have bravely shouted for the truth wherever there is oppression while those who teach us democracy and human rights remain silent, we will continue to stand up against injustice with the permission of God and the strong support of our beloved nation.”
Stating that they will continue to think prudently, be cool-headed and act with common sense, Erdoğan said, “We will continue to be careful, cautious, patient, but also as astute in the face of injustice and banditry, in order not to harm even a single hair of the 86 million people, especially when missiles are flying in the air in our immediate surroundings.”

“WE ARE PREPARING FOR THE Türkiye CENTURY”
Erdoğan stated that in the days when the world was sailing in stormy waters, Türkiye was preparing for the Century by strengthening the infrastructure, economy, diplomacy, army and defense industry, and strengthening national unity.
Emphasizing that one of the cornerstones of the Turkey Century vision is the work carried out with the aim of a Terror-free Turkey and a terror-free region, Erdoğan said Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words: “Great national troubles have so far only been healed in the Grand National Assembly. It will only be possible to find definitive measures there.” Recalling his statements, he noted that these findings still remain valid.
Pointing out that the Assembly has demonstrated its skill in writing national prescriptions for national problems on different occasions since April 23, 1920, President Erdoğan said, “This Veteran Assembly, thank God, still has the capacity, acumen and democratic maturity to find solutions to all kinds of problems that hurt the country and the nation, no matter how complicated they are.” he said.

Stating that the chains of war should be broken, Devlet Bahçeli said, “The language of peace should prevail in our region. The weapons must be silenced and a ceasefire must be declared.”
“WHO OR WHO ARE THE DARK OVERMINDS?”
“U.S. President Trump is in danger of paying a multifaceted price for the Iran operation he launched after Venezuela without getting authorization from the Congress,” said Bahçeli, adding, “Within the scope of Article I, Section 8 of the American Constitution, the authority to declare war, establish and support an army, provide and maintain a navy, finance and regulate military expenditures belongs solely to the Congress. Since no such decision has been made by the Congress, who or who is the dark overlord ruling the USA? The Zionist lobby, moreover, the murderer.” “How was Netanyahu able to take the US administration head-in-arm?” He made a statement.

‘Iran’ warning from Minister Fidan: War is spreading throughout the region
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan made striking statements regarding the Israel-USA and Iran war. Emphasizing that we are going through critical days, Fidan said that the effects of the Iran-centered war have gone beyond the borders.
“THE WAR IS NOT LIMITED TO IRAN”
Minister Fidan said, “On behalf of our region, especially. There have been great sufferings and wars in the region for the last 20 years, and the last great war we have experienced is the war with Iran. Of course, when we look at the effects of the war, it is not limited to Iran. As we predicted long ago, it spreads to the entire region.”
“I WILL TAKE THE REGION WITH ME”
Stating that Iran has created a new strategy, Minister Fidan said, “As soon as Iran considers a final attack against itself, it attacks other countries in the region, especially their energy infrastructures, with the strategy of ‘If I leave, I will take the region with me’. Iran is well aware of this; it knows how important the energy infrastructures in the critical countries in the region are for the world economy, stability and energy security. It carries out its attacks against these places. As it is attacked, it tries to create the pressure element from here.”
“A CONTROVERSIAL ISSUE”
Stating that no time can be given for the war, Minister Fidan said, “The issue of what will happen is a controversial issue, open to various evaluations. The important thing here is; what are the aims of the attacking parties? What do they aim for? When you look at it, two main sets of goals emerge. In the first set, there is a military professional evaluation about the elimination of the military capabilities that Iran has. There is the view that ‘We will continue this operation until we achieve this goal.’ On the other hand, there is a perspective of a military operation that aims for a regime change.” He made a statement.
“DURATION OF THE WAR VARIES”
Minister Fidan continued as follows: “Now, depending on these two targets, the duration of the war changes and its form also changes. The way it spreads and the risks it creates also change; these two are very different concepts. Therefore, we are already working on how we can prevent it from getting worse by coming together with certain countries and forming a certain opinion.”

War alert in the Middle East! Concern about internal conflict in Iran
İsmail Köse, faculty member of the International Relations Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Karadeniz Technical University, stated that every war in the Middle East directly affects Türkiye and drew attention to the risk of migration waves, increasing energy costs and economic instability. Köse said, “It may be possible to stay out of the war, but it is impossible to get rid of its effects completely.”

Arguing that there is a period in which norms are weakened in the international system, Köse claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump acted without taking international law and norms into account and said, “It becomes difficult to talk about international law and peace in an environment where force is justified.” Referring to the social structure in Iran, Köse stated that there has been an uneasy public opinion in the country for a long time and that the current war environment could further shake the internal balances. Emphasizing that the Revolutionary Guards in particular will play a decisive role in the process, Köse stated that it is unclear what attitude the structure, which controlled the centers of power in the past during the periods of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei and Ali Akbar Rafsanjani, will display in the face of the current crisis. Köse stated that although regime change is not expected in the short term in Iran, the process may spread over time, as in the case of Syria, and that it is difficult for an administration that has lost public support to survive in the long term.
