The first part of the new terminal building of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport was opened
Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Airport Authority (HEAŞ), a subsidiary of the Presidency of Defense Industries, and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport Yatırım, Yapım ve İşletme A.Ş. Sabiha Gökçen International Airport terminal building renovation works, which were initiated in 3 parts in cooperation with (ISG), were completed and the first part of the terminal was put into service. To the ceremony; Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, HEAŞ General Manager Faruk Kacır, and Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) Managing Director Dato İzani, the operator of Sabiha Gökçen Airport (İSG), and guests attended.

TERMINALS ARE CONNECTED TOGETHER FOR MORE PASSENGERS
The first part of the Terminal-1 building, which is the first terminal building of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, Türkiye’s 2nd and Europe’s 9th busiest airport, and which was renewed to meet the increasing need, will be connected to Terminal-2 via a 240 meter long connection. Passengers who will pass to Terminal-1 via a bridge system from the international terminal gate 201 of the existing Terminal-2 will be able to easily use the 8 additional boarding gates there. Passengers who complete their check-in, baggage and passport procedures at Terminal-2, the main terminal building, will reach Terminal-1 via moving walkways. With the start of the other parts of the Terminal-1 building, the passenger capacity of Sabiha Gökçen Airport will increase by approximately 5.5 million with the terminal building, which will be renewed in all aspects.

48 MILLION PASSENGERS
Speaking at the ceremony, Fatih Kacır, General Manager of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Aerodrome Authority (HEAŞ), said, “Sabiha Gökçen Airport is one of the most important aviation centers not only of Istanbul, but also of Türkiye and our Region. Our Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which hosted 44 thousand passengers when it was opened to civil aviation in 2001, has now reached a passenger traffic of more than 44 million before the end of 2025. More than 44 thousand.” “We are talking about an ecosystem where we have reached 44 million. The flight traffic of our airport, which hosts millions of passengers every year, breaks records and opens doors to the sky continuously, has reached more than 250 thousand flights. These figures clearly show that we will reach more than 48 million passengers by the end of 2025.” he said.

THE AIRPORT WILL BE MORE USEFUL
Speaking at the program, Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün said, “Our Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is one of the most strategic aviation centers of our country, providing direct connections to a total of 154 points, 39 of which are domestic and 114 international, in 54 countries with 23 airlines. In the first eleven months of 2025, Sabiha Gökçen has successfully served more than 245 thousand flights and passenger traffic exceeding 44 million. It is expected that our airport will reach more than 48 million passengers by the end of the year. The Terminal-1 building, which was used for different purposes after serving for many years, was re-evaluated under the leadership of our Presidency, in cooperation with the HEAŞ Square Authority and the terminal operator, and the “Terminal-2 – Terminal-1 Integration Project” was implemented. This building, with a seating area of approximately 18 thousand square meters, now has a role that supports the main terminal with its satellite terminal function, balances the operational load and increases passenger comfort. Thanks to the 240-meter-long, fully closed and air-conditioned connection bridge connecting Terminal-2 and Terminal-1, passengers will be able to pass through the terminal comfortably with moving walkways and elevators, without leaving the open area. Within the framework of this integration model, check-in, baggage delivery and passport control procedures will be completed in Terminal-2, the main terminal, and passengers will meet their flight hours in more spacious, quieter and larger waiting areas in Terminal-1, ensuring a balanced distribution of passenger flow throughout the terminal, increasing both operational efficiency. “Within the scope of the first phase, which we opened today, the remote aircraft lounge, which has five exit doors and can serve ten aircraft at the same time, duty-free areas, food and beverage units, children’s playgrounds and all support units for passenger needs have been completed and are ready to be put into service,” he said.

“WE OPENED AN AVERAGE OF 1.4 AIRPORTS EVERY YEAR”
Speaking at the opening of the first part of the renewed terminal building, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, “Our country has one of the most advantageous geographies in the world, with its strategic location at the intersection of Asia, Europe and Africa, right in the middle of the Afro-Eurasian geography. Within a four-hour flight distance, we are at the center of 67 countries, where 1.5 billion people live and whose total economic size exceeds 55 trillion dollars. By reading this advantage correctly, we have made Türkiye possible with the bold and visionary policies we have implemented in the last 23 years.” We have made it the shining star of the world in aviation. We increased the number of active airports from 26 in 2002 to 58. We added 16 new airports to our civil aviation sector, such as Istanbul, Rize-Artvin, Ordu-Giresun, Yüksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi and Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport. In other words, we opened an average of 1.4 airports every year and built a Turkey with no borders in the sky. With the airport and Bayburt-Gümüşhane Regional Airport, we will increase this number to 60. Again, our total passenger traffic on domestic and international lines was approximately 34 million; by the end of 2024, we reached 231 million passengers, ranking 3rd in Europe and 7th in the world. We served 229.7 million passengers in the first 11 months of this year. We carried 77 million 524 thousand 963 passengers on international flights. “In 2003, we were able to fly to 60 destinations in 50 countries in our flight network. Today, the number of international flight destinations has reached 355 in 132 countries. We have increased the number of countries with which we have Air Transport Agreements from 81 to 175,” he said.

“IT WILL ADD 5.5 MILLION PASSENGER CAPACITY”
Minister Uraloğlu said, “With the new works, the first terminal building, T1, came to life again with its modern architecture, advanced technological infrastructure, solutions for passenger comfort and sustainable structure. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 were integrated with a special connection bridge of approximately 240 meters long and 10.5 meters wide. Passenger flow is now provided without interruption and with high level of comfort with moving walks and electro-mechanical equipment. Within the scope of this phase, the Remote Flight Lounge with a seating area of 2,560 square meters was also made ready for service. This lounge will offer a unique experience to our passengers with the capacity to serve 10 planes at the same time, 5 exit gates, 150 square meters of Duty Free area, 100 square meters of food and beverage kiosks, 430 square meters of children’s playground, 400 square meters of wet area, prayer room and ihram dressing areas. Within the scope of the project, a comprehensive parking lot arrangement of Terminal 2, which will make the landside transportation of our airport more regular and more accessible, has been implemented. The parking capacity of Terminal 1 increased to 229 vehicles, thus increasing the total parking capacity of Sabiha Gökçen Airport to 5 thousand 836 vehicles. At the same time, land-side transportation was strengthened with a 13-stop intercity bus transfer area. With this arrangement, our passengers’ metro-bus-terminal transitions were completed meticulously for a unique and uninterrupted service. “When the work on Terminal 3 is completed, Terminal 1 will provide our airport with an additional annual passenger capacity of 5.5 million,” he said.

Minister Gürlek’s first action is being implemented!
The fact that commercial courts in Istanbul operate dispersedly in different courthouses has been a matter of debate in judicial circles for a long time. The fact that the same case could be reopened in different courthouses with changes in address or title both increased the workload of the courts and damaged the unity of decision in commercial trials. The step to eliminate this situation was taken with the new regulation of the Ministry of Justice.
DISTRIBUTED STRUCTURE WAS CREATING PROBLEMS
There are a total of 44 Commercial Courts of First Instance in Istanbul, 22 in Çağlayan Courthouse, 8 in Bakırköy Courthouse, 13 in Istanbul Anatolian (Kartal) Courthouse and 1 in Küçükçekmece Courthouse. It is stated that since the courts are located in different courthouses, some companies can change their headquarters address or title in the trade registry and reopen the same case in another courthouse in order to prevent a decision against them. While the separate courthouses caused the files to not overlap exactly in the UYAP system, cases with the same content appeared to be new cases in the system.
MINISTER GÜRLEK ANNOUNCED THE PROJECT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE NEWS
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, in the program he attended on A Haber, made statements about the projects being worked on in order to carry out judicial services more effectively and quickly, and stated that gathering the Commercial Courts in a single building was one of these projects. Gürlek announced that the application would be launched in Istanbul as a pilot province.
COMMERCIAL COURTS WILL BE GATHERED UNDER ONE ROOF
Stating that Istanbul is a commercial city in A Haber Live broadcast, Gürlek said, “The world’s trade revolves here. Commercial courts are very important courts. We have very big cases here. We are planning to establish a pilot in Istanbul, I think of gathering all commercial courts in one place, in a single building. Now, what will be the benefit of this for us? There are commercial courts in Anadolu Courthouse, Çağlayan Courthouse, Bakırköy Courthouse, Küçükçekmece Courthouse. Many It is messy. Now the citizen cannot get a decision, he goes to the Anatolian Courthouse. All commercial courts will be in a complex, the location is unknown, and our commercial judges will work in these buildings separately from the courthouse. This will prevent the process from being prolonged, especially in commercial cases, and will provide uniformity. We are planning to launch this process as a pilot in Istanbul soon.”
THE DECISION WAS MADE BY HSK
After Minister Gürlek’s statements, the process gained momentum. After the meeting held by the General Assembly of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, a decision was made to gather the Commercial Courts under a single building. Thus, the project moved from the decision stage to the implementation process.
LOCATION WILL BE DETERMINED IN ISTANBUL
In line with the decision taken, it was learned that work has been initiated to determine the building where the commercial courts will be located in Istanbul. After the location determination is completed, it is aimed to put the new structure into operation and to end the physical disorganization in commercial trials. Commercial courts are expected to be established in a region close to the financial center.

The child was replaced by a dog – Breaking News
Four family-focused sessions were held at the Human Rights and Family Summit organized the previous day by the AK Party Human Rights Presidency. While attention was drawn to the decline in the fertility rate at the summit, it was emphasized that the family should be protected against digitalization and gender neutralization projects that are claimed to be carried out on a global scale. Speaking at the summit held at the AK Party Headquarters, Grand National Assembly of Turkey Justice Commission Chairman Cüneyt Yüksel described “de-gendering projects and LGBT impositions as dynamite thrown into the future of the Turkish nation.”
WE WILL PROTECT THE FAMILY WITH THE CONSTITUTION
Yüksel said, “We have to strengthen our legal fortifications on a wide range of issues, from anti-family disinformation in digital media to these harmful trends targeting our children.” Speaking after Yüksel, who touched upon the importance of designing anti-drug policies and measures against children dragged into crime with a family-centered approach, AK Party Deputy Chairman Belgin Uygur said, “We will protect the family institution against perverted trends with a civil, participatory constitution in the new era.

Our goal, our work and our efforts are in this direction. “We will put this issue at the center of our politics and policies,” he said. AK Party Hatay Deputy Abdulkadir Özel criticized the daytime programs and said, “There is a need for a more interventionist legal regulation that protects against harmful trends that especially target our children and youth.” Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Sevim Sayım Madak said, “Last year, there were nearly 800 gender changes. Most of them turned from women to men. But when you reach the age of 25, you regret it,” he said. AK Party Bursa Deputy Osman Mesten stated that there is a change in the traditional family model and said, “Instead of having children, people buy cats and dogs. They are dressed in children’s clothes, taken for a ride in baby carriages, and bought toys. Mesten also argued that NGOs that appear to be human rights foundations but openly make LGBT propaganda should be closed. Mesten said, “It should be determined where institutions working under the name of animal rights and women’s rights receive support. Broadcasts to be broadcast on TV must be pre-inspected. What is not approved should not be published. “The penalty imposed after publication has no effect.” KADEM Board Member Sedide Akbulut emphasized justice within the family. Akbulut said, “Our religion does not recommend a hierarchical structure in the family. “It is necessary to share the responsibility fairly,” he said. Stating that the responsibility in divorces is often placed on women, Akbulut said, “However, the lack of responsibilities of the father is also one of the reasons. Policies that will strengthen the family are needed. “But with social policies that strengthen the family, we not only need to improve women’s employment, but also for men to share responsibility for the family and support their education,” he said.
