We wrote a success story in urban planning – Last Minute News

Published

on

President Erdoğan spoke at the ‘Host Türkiye-Ankara 31 thousand 73 Housing Draw Ceremony’ at Beştepe Nation Congress and Culture Center:

We wrote the biggest success story in urbanism in our earthquake zone. Keeping our promise to our nation, we completed 455 thousand 327 independent sections in 3 years. As the state, we undertook the entire infrastructure costs of 455 thousand houses and gave a 50 percent discount to our citizens on the remaining price. We have also created a very comfortable and advantageous payment plan for our earthquake victims. Accordingly, our citizens who will settle in their new homes will not make any payments for the first two years. Afterwards, he/she will make the payment without any difficulty in fixed and very low-priced installments spanning 18 years.

Praise be to God Almighty who did not embarrass us to our nation. Of course, I would also like to express this here. While we were trying to get back on our feet as a state and a nation in the days when we experienced the disaster of the century, we have given the best answer to those who went fishing in muddy water and competed to grab logs from the flood, especially the main opposition party, to those who tried to exploit the pain of our earthquake victims immorally, to those who tried to deceive our people with empty promises in the squares and promised free houses, free workplaces, free tractors, to those who mobilized themselves to ensure that our government and our alliance remained under the rubble, in short, to all the earthquake tourists. On this occasion, I would like to once again sincerely thank all my brothers who trusted their state, believed in their nation, and supported us by maintaining hope and fortitude during those testing days.

We gave the good news to the nation that we would build 500 thousand houses in 81 provinces with the Home Owner Türkiye Project, the biggest social housing move in the history of the Republic. Our nation showed great interest in the Housing Project of the Century and 8 million 800 thousand people applied for the project. I pray to God that our rightful brothers and sisters will live in health, peace and pleasure in these houses that we will complete and deliver in our earthquake zone this year and in other cities, including Ankara, starting from March next year.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST TEACHERS

May God have mercy on teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who passed away in a heinous attack at a high school in Istanbul Çekmeköy yesterday. There can be no justification or excuse for violence against our beloved teachers. It is unacceptable behavior in our belief and culture. Our Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated a judicial investigation and our ministry initiated an administrative investigation. As a nation, we will pursue this incident, which saddens us all, with determination, and whatever is necessary will be done to ensure that the perpetrator receives the punishment he deserves.

Relatives of martyrs and veterans who attended the program showed love to Erdoğan.

CEASE CEASE IS BEING VIOLATED IN GAZA

Those living in Gaza, the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian territories once again welcomed Ramadan with sadness. The Israeli government is clearly violating the October agreement by deliberately blocking the entry of humanitarian aid. Despite the ceasefire, over 620 of our Gazan brothers were martyred in Israeli attacks in the last 5 months. Unfortunately, the cities of the oppressed in Somalia, Sudan, Arakan and many other places are having a sad time during Ramadan.

WE MOBILIZED FOR PEACE

As Türkiye, we continue our work focused on peace, tranquility and stability with determination. We have taken and continue to take all necessary precautions to keep Türkiye and the Turkish nation away from these dangers. With the peace-oriented diplomacy we carry out, we make intense efforts to solve the problems in a fair and equitable manner, at the table, through dialogue and negotiation. We have mobilized all our resources to ensure that our region is freed from this pressure as soon as possible, before more blood is shed, the fire spreads more, and there is no more hostility between sister countries.

IRAN WAS ATTACKED AT THE INCITATION OF THE ZIONIST LOBBY

Unfortunately, the wave of tension in our region tends to spread day by day. The air operation against Iran, provoked by the Zionist lobby, was added to the conflicts that broke out between Afghanistan and Pakistan last week. Missile and kamikaze drone attacks against sister countries in the Gulf further deepened the atmosphere of instability. Unfortunately, in these holy days, the lands in different parts of our region continue to be wet with blood and tears.

Istanbul Technical University students met at the 7th traditional iftar event held at ITU Ayazağa Campus. In the program attended by thousands of university students, the area was colored with decorations and lighting and was crowned with the verse “Believers are brothers”. While more than 50 tables were set up in the area, thousands of young people broke their fast together and performed the evening prayer collectively after iftar. The traditional iftar event, held every year, was held with a different enthusiasm this year.

“I WOULD KEEP MY FAST ALONE”

BAYKAR Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar and National Defense University Rector Erhan Afyoncu also participated in the program and broke their fast with the students. Bayraktar, himself an ITU graduate, addressed the young people in the field after the iftar.

Bayraktar talked about the months of Ramadan, which he spent with difficulty abroad during his university years, with the following words: “When I go back years ago, I graduated from ITU and was working as a research assistant abroad. Of course, the Ramadan season would coincide again. We would fast, but alone. There was no one around…

“YOU MAKE ME HOPE”

It was time for iftar. I will never forget, we would break our fast with a slice of pizza and a soft drink at the food court. Alone, of course. Now I thank God that He showed me these days. Together with you, thousands of my young brothers and sisters, we celebrate and observe Ramadan together, in a brotherly and friendly manner, at the same table. Just like a festival. Indeed, it always makes me grateful for today and gives me hope for the future, in this dark situation the world is dragged into.”

23 grams of gold instead of occupation money

Published

on

It was revealed that the CHP municipality in Yalova’s Çiftlikköy district demanded 23 grams of gold from the tradesmen instead of money as the occupation fee, and the tradesmen made the payment in gold. Celal Balcı, who has been operating a small-scale amusement park in the municipality’s area since 2013, said that in the meeting held at the beginning of the 2024 summer season, the occupation fee was determined as 60 thousand TL, but a few days later, the municipal police officer came and said, “We want you to make the payment in 23 grams of gold.

“Mayor Adil Yele will use it as jewelry in events such as weddings, circumcisions and births,” he said. Balcı then claimed that he delivered 23 grams of gold to the staff in the mayor’s office, but no receipt was given for the delivery. Balcı said that he repeatedly requested a collection receipt verbally and in writing, but his request was left unanswered.

Tradesman Balcı, who recently encountered an eviction notice, was surprised at what happened. In the official letter from the municipality, it was stated that there was an occupation debt of 113 thousand 273 TL for 2024 and that the area should be evacuated within 3 days. Balcı, who also saw that interest exceeding 50 thousand liras was charged along with the late payment penalty, went to Çiftlikköy Mayor Adil Yele’s office and wanted to meet. However, Balcı said that he was kicked out by being told to “Go wherever you want and complain” and added, “I gave 23 grams of gold and also ended up in debt.” Balcı said that he filed a complaint against Mayor Yele and the relevant police officer.
