CİMER DEVELOPED THE TRAITOR’S PLAN

According to the information in the investigation file, the process started with detailed statements made by an informant via CIMER. In the statement of the informant; He stated that the suspects, who used code names and had many criminal records, purchased tickets from abroad and mentioned the wife of Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek. It was learned that the suspects wrote the full address on a piece of paper, examined the roads leading to it in detail and discussed how to get the gun into the plaza. Stating that the instruction came from abroad, the whistleblower stated that he later realized that the target of the suspects was the wife of Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek and reported the situation to the authorities.

THEY REPLIED YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN 18-25 YEARS OLD AS TRIGGERS

As a result of physical and intelligence studies, it was determined that suspects Uğur Yılmaz and Yavuz Canbaşı recruited members between the ages of 18-25 to domestic and international organized crime organizations. It was determined that the young people recruited by these people carried out armed actions and shootings.

MILLIONS OF LIRAS IN CASH AND UNLICENSED WEAPONS WERE SEIZED

During the operations carried out by the Gendarmerie at the addresses of the suspects on different dates; Two unlicensed weapons and cartridges belonging to these weapons, which were thought to be used in the actions, and 3 million 206 thousand liras of cash, thought to belong to a criminal organization, were seized. Stating that the notice was detailed and compatible with the criminal elements obtained, and that there were concrete facts indicating the existence of a strong criminal suspicion that the suspects committed the crime charged, the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest of Uğur Yılmaz and Yavuz Canbaşı and referred the file to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty. Both suspects were arrested.

Haluk Levent, President of the Friends Association, who was accused of using earthquake donations for purposes other than their intended purpose and transferring them to personal accounts, was detained in Bursa following an arrest warrant against him.
