Erdoğan was the target in the December 25 conspiracy
12 years have passed since the 25 December 2013 plot, which was the second leg of the corruption-labelled police and judiciary coup attempt organized by the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on 17 December 2013. When the dates showed December 17, 2013, FETO member prosecutors and police officers, who took action on the instructions of the terrorist organization leader Fetullah Gülen, pressed the button of the police-judicial conspiracy they prepared under the guise of corruption to eliminate the government. However, the conspiracy was thwarted by the upstanding Prime Minister Erdoğan and the astute nation. Immediately after December 17, the police officers who carried out the operation were dismissed. When the 17 December operation was unsuccessful, the terrorist organization FETO launched the second wave of the conspiracy, this time only 8 days later, on 25 December 2013. The second wave of the conspiracy, which was put into action on the morning of December 25, was initiated by the instructions of the then Istanbul Public Prosecutor Muammer Akkaş. In the instruction sent by Akkaş to the Istanbul Police, 46 people, including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s son Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan, were requested to be detained.

Istanbul Police Department, which described the prosecutor’s order as illegal with its experience in the December 17 operation, rejected the detention order. It became clear that the main target of the operation was Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan through his son. The December 25 conspiracy, which was foiled thanks to the dismissals and new appointments in the Istanbul Provincial Police Department upon the instructions of Efkan Ala, who was appointed as the Minister of Internal Affairs after December 17, ended in failure with the withdrawal of FETO-supporting prosecutor Muammer Akkaş from the investigation. Akkaş was remembered for distributing leaflets in front of the courthouse on the morning of December 26 and fleeing abroad like other FETO members after July 15.
NO PROSECUTION WAS GIVEN AFTER 1 YEAR
Regarding the 17 DECEMBER conspiracy investigation, on 17 October 2014, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office decided not to prosecute the file after an investigation that lasted approximately 11 months. Istanbul 6th Criminal Judgeship of Peace rejected the objection to the decision of non-prosecution on December 16, 2014, almost a year after the December 17 operation. The decision not to prosecute the 25 December investigation was given on 2 September 2014. It was stated that there was no need to prosecute 96 suspects, including Bilal Erdoğan.

BREAKING NEWS… CHP objected to the absolute nullity decision! YSK explained the reason for the rejection
NOT CONSIDERED AS AUTHORITY USURP
In the decision, it was stated that, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and relevant legislation, the duties and powers of the Supreme Electoral Council and election boards in the election processes consist of three separate stages: “pre-election”, “election day” and “post-election”. It was stated that, unlike presidential, parliamentary, local administration elections and referendums, election boards have a limited area of authority in professional organizations, unions and political party congresses that are public institutions.
In this context, it was noted that in these types of elections, election boards exercise limited control and supervision authority mainly on the election day and post-election transactions, and have no authority in terms of pre-election transactions. It was determined that the disputes regarding the pre-election processes were evaluated by the judicial authorities within the framework of the provisions of the Turkish Civil Code and the Law on Associations within the scope of Articles 29 and 121 of the Political Parties Law No. 2820, and that the decisions made in accordance with the Civil Procedure Law No. 6100 were not considered as usurpation of authority within the scope of Article 138 of the Constitution.
