Speaking at the “loyalty iftar” program organized by the AK Party Aydın Provincial Directorate in a wedding hall in Efeler district, İnan said that his party has a policy of loyalty.

İnan stated that they joined hands with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçıoğlu and wrote the epic of work and service policy in Aydın.

Stating that they swore an oath together with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to fly the AK Party’s service flag to the highest level on the city’s bastions under the leadership of Çerçioğlu, İnan said, “Those who protect the future of their city, show their will.” “I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed president for supporting Aydın. Minister Yumaklı, who came together with the party members at the “Loyalty Iftar” program organized by the Justice and Development Party Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate, emphasized the spirit of sharing and solidarity of Ramadan in his speech before the iftar. Stating that Istanbul will be evaluated within the scope of the eastern mission, Minister Gürlek said that the term of office has been determined as 10 years.

78-year-old Prof., who has been treated in intensive care for about a week due to his illness and was intubated yesterday morning when his condition worsened. Dr. İlber Ortaylı passed away.

HE WAS THE PLANE SHOW OF TURKISH HISTORY

Ortaylı, who made history popular among the masses in Türkiye and was known as the “living library”, was one of the most important people of Turkish cultural and scientific life with his vast academic knowledge and unique style. Born in 1947 in Bregenz, Austria, to a Crimean Tatar family, Ortaylı immigrated to Türkiye with his family when he was 2 years old. He started his education at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, and completed his master’s degree at the University of Chicago under the world-famous historian Prof. Dr. Ortaylı, who was a student of Halil İnalcık, completed his master’s degree on Slavic and Eastern European languages ​​at the University of Vienna.

In 1974, he completed his doctorate at Ankara University with the thesis “Local Administrations After the Tanzimat”. He became an associate professor in 1979 and a professor in 1989. His advanced knowledge of many languages ​​(German, Russian, English, French, Italian, Persian, etc.) enabled him to become a worldwide authority by examining international archives first-hand. Ortaylı, who taught administrative history at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences for many years, continued his career as a guest and permanent faculty member in the law and history departments of Galatasaray and Bilkent Universities. Ortaylı, who served as the head of the Topkapı Palace Museum between 2005 and 2012, gave great impetus to the international promotion, organizational structure and restoration processes of the palace. Ortaylı, who served as a consultant to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2018, gave seminars in many important cities of the world.

With his works such as Rediscovering the Ottoman Empire, How to Live a Lifetime and Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, he transformed history into a field that can be read not only by experts but also by people of all ages. He was awarded numerous prestigious awards, including the Presidential Grand Prize for Culture and Arts and the Russian Federation Pushkin Medal.
