AK Party will take 87 billion TL profiteering to the judiciary

Published

on

CHP’s Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM)’s decision to open the IETT Garage in Levent, which the AK Party wanted to turn into a parking area in 2019, is being brought to court. SABAH had brought the scandal to the agenda on January 23 with the headline “They opened it for profit, not for the public.” With the decision accepted with the votes of CHP council members, the way was opened for the construction of a 50-storey skyscraper on the land, and it was noted that the profit to be generated would reach 87 billion.

IMM Assembly AK Party Group Board Member Eyüp Dursun stated that the land opened for development is one of the lands with the highest financial value in Istanbul and Türkiye, and is owned by the IMM subsidiary company Istanbul Imar AŞ. Stating that planning studies were carried out for this place in 2001, 2006 and 2013, Dursun reminded that in the past, CHP brought the request for this area to be a “park” to the judiciary and the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and that if they won the elections, they promised to use this place as a green area for Istanbulites to use.

IMAMOGLU VETOED

Reminding that as a result of the 2019 local elections, the IMM Presidency passed to the CHP and the majority in the IMM Assembly was the AK Party, Dursun said, “During this period, we formalized our decision by adding an item to the agenda in the form of a parliamentary question, ‘Let this be a green area’, in order for them to fulfill their promises regarding this land. However, the Mayor of the time, Ekrem İmamoğlu, vetoed our decision and re-sent it to the Assembly.” Noting that 130-140 thousand square meters of the area opened for construction is salable and that one or two 50-storey skyscrapers can be built, Dursun stated that organizations such as the Chamber of Architects, which objected to these decisions in the past, should object again. Dursun said, “As the AK Party and the People’s Alliance, we will evaluate all legal ways and take the decision to court after the decision is suspended.”

We have crossed the vital threshold for Türkiye

Published

on

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, met with the editors-in-chief of media organizations at the iftar program held in Istanbul Filizi Köşk. Making important statements in the program, Kurtulmuş touched upon the importance of the National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy Commission Report. Noting that this is an important vital threshold for Türkiye and that this threshold has been exceeded, Kurtulmuş stated that the legal regulations in question should be brought to the agenda after the month of Ramadan. Kurtulmuş said: This work was adopted as a state policy and all institutions of the state continued their respective areas with serious coordination. The commission turned this state policy goal into a nation’s surveillance. Never engage in an approach that will turn the people of this region, the majority population of which the imperialists could not turn into enemies, into enemies. Neither hesitation was expressed nor anyone made such a proposal regarding Türkiye’s unitary structure and state system. It is a completely wrong perception.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING

Although the Rafah Border Gate is open on paper, it is not actually open. There are major restrictions on aid convoys entering. While we sit here at our comfortable iftar tables, the people of Gaza continue to suffer; They try to break their fast with the two morsels of sustenance they can find in their tents, half of which are filled with water. The whole world is watching this cruelty.

A US attack on Iran would be a disaster for the region. An attack that starts as ‘short-term’ causes great vulnerabilities where it is unclear where it will stop. We explain this to our interlocutors on every occasion.

POSITIVE DEVELOPMENTS ARE EXPERIENCED IN SYRIA

From the very beginning, we have always expressed our three basic preferences in Syria. One of these is that the new Syrian administration governs with an understanding that encompasses the Syrian people in ethnic and sectarian terms. Secondly, ensuring the integration of armed groups within the current new administration. Thirdly, protecting territorial integrity. Fortunately, we see that there are important developments in this direction. Our difference from those who have imperial interests over this region is this: They want this region to be further divided; We are struggling to ensure its compilation, integration and unity.

THE COUP CONSTITUTION IS NOT ENOUGH FOR Türkiye

One of the issues that Turkish politics agree on without speaking is that the September 12 coup constitution is no longer valid and sufficient for Türkiye. I hope that work will be done with a consensus on this issue. Türkiye quickly puts the issue of the new constitution on its agenda and makes progress. It is now a very outdated constitution for Türkiye.

Turkuvaz Medya’s iftar tent is also very nice. It is both clean and the food is delicious. Their employees are equally friendly.

Good news of support for agricultural production – Last Minute News

Published

on

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with farmers at the iftar program held at the Haliç Congress Center yesterday. Erdoğan, who started his speech here by greeting the farmers, briefly said the following:

From here, I send my love and respect to all my farmer brothers and sisters who produce in every inch of our heavenly homeland and add value to the Turkish economy with their labor. Just as our farmers supported us, our democracy and our homeland, we have always stood by them. Whatever we said in the squares, whatever we promised, when we took office with your discretion, we worked hard to implement our promises. I want those who say ‘There is no support for agriculture’ every time they open their mouths to listen carefully to these numbers. Last year alone, the total support we provided to the sector, including direct support, credit support, investment allowance, intervention purchases and export supports, reached 706 billion lira. The amount we allocated directly and indirectly to agriculture for 2026 is exactly 939 billion lira. In other words, we will support our producers with a figure of up to 1 trillion lira. The path to a strong Türkiye passes through strong agriculture.

606 types of agricultural products grow in our heavenly homeland. Not only the facts of the sector, but also international organizations refute the claim that ‘Agriculture in Türkiye is over’, which the opposition has been repeating. According to these reports, Türkiye ranks 1st in Europe and 7th in the world in terms of revenue. We are 3rd in the world in vegetable production and 4th in fruit production. We are in the top 3 in 21 herbal products. We increased our agricultural product, which was 24.5 billion dollars in 2002, by more than 3 times to 79.1 billion dollars in 2024. We have had a foreign trade surplus of approximately 117 billion dollars in agriculture in the last 23 years. We are among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of seeds. We export seeds to 117 countries. Despite all the troubles, various difficulties and negative conditions caused by the climate crisis, we have brought our country to a very good place in agriculture.

AGRICULTURE IS NOT OVER IN Türkiye

Even though some people pin all their hopes on this, agriculture has not ended in Türkiye, and I hope it will never end. In fact, our country will break many more records in the agricultural sector. But what will end will be the enthusiasm of those who promise free tractors to every farmer in the squares and then act on them. What will end will be the arrogance of the elitist mentality that says, ‘Is my vote the same as the vote of the shepherd on the mountain?’

One of our priorities is for our citizens to have access to healthy, quality and reliable food. Our Ministry constantly conducts field inspections against those who sell your products to citizens through counterfeiting or counterfeiting. As a result of the audit, we punish those who commit food fraud and those who try to deceive our citizens, and now we also expose them instantly. In addition, we have made the application of QR codes mandatory in workplaces that provide food and beverage services, such as restaurants and cafes, since last year. We also carry out pesticide residue control inspections on fresh vegetables and fruits before and after harvest. In addition to these inspections, our fight against exorbitant prices continues. I would like you to know that we will be intolerant towards those who cast a shadow of unfair profit on the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and those who steal bread from our citizens’ tables. Although the number of opportunists is low, the number of businesses that offer discounts on these holy days is also quite high.

ORGANIZED AGRICULTURAL REGIONS

Within the scope of our support model, we made the payment for livestock support last year. Now we are starting to provide support payments to those engaged in plant production. Starting from March 6, we will transfer 81 billion lira of basic and planned production support payments to our farmers’ accounts within 1 month. Just like organized industrial zones, we continue our investments in organized agricultural zones at full speed. We started production in 14 organized agricultural regions. This year, we will start production in 5 more regions for the first time.

‘I INVITE YOU TO GET AGRICULTURAL INSURANCE’

We paid a total of 47 billion lira to all our producers affected by the agricultural frost in April last year. Unfortunately, our producers were affected by hail, tornadoes and floods in some of our provinces recently. Relevant units of our state have mobilized to relieve our producers. Changing climate conditions and global warming tell us that these and similar events will continue. That’s why I definitely invite you to get agricultural insurance. We currently cover up to 70 percent of premium payments. We have implemented a new investment package for the earthquake zone. We will spend this resource of 11 billion lira for production in our 11 provinces.

150 THOUSAND SHINE SUPPORT TO PRODUCERS

I would like to announce our new good news to our farmers on this holy day. We allocate half of our rural development support budget, which is 14.5 billion lira in 2026, to young and female producers and family businesses. We are also starting a new project called ‘Abundance in the Rural Area, Support for Small and Small Livestock’. In the first phase of the project, we will give 150 thousand sheep to our producers under favorable conditions. We will provide 95 female and 5 male sheep to each producer who will benefit from the project. We will provide 15 thousand lira monthly and 180 thousand lira annual care and feeding support for these animals. For the project, our producers will be able to use interest-free loans from Ziraat Bank. These loans have a grace period of up to 2 years and maturity options of up to 7 years. We will cover the insurance of these sheep for 1 year. In this project, we will give priority to our women and young producers, as well as young people who have recently graduated from veterinary medicine, agriculture and food engineering. I invite all our young and female producers who want to engage in small livestock farming to apply for this project.

“CONTRIBUTION TO EDUCATION WITHIN THE UNDERSTANDING OF LOYALTY IS ONE OF THE AREAS WITH THE HIGHEST TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER”

Minister Gürlek: A strong legal order is the guarantee of labor

Published

on

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek attended the iftar program with farmers held in Istanbul with the honor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his message published on his social media account, Minister Gürlek stated that it is a conscientious responsibility to protect the rights of labor at every stage, from field to table.

Stating that farmers who work hard for the land and turn their sweat into abundance are the silent heroes of our country, Minister Gürlek’s message is as follows:

Their efforts, which start before sunrise, make our fields, tables and future green. Protecting our farmers’ fields and our producers’ sweat is a conscientious and moral duty. It is our common responsibility to protect the rights of labor at every stage, from field to table, and to prevent unfair profit. Because justice is not only in courtrooms; It should also be manifested in the seeds that sprout in the field, in the scales set up in the market, and in the bread that comes to the table. A strong legal order is the guarantee of labor; A strong agricultural sector is the guarantee of our country’s future. “Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to work to make the Century of Türkiye the Century of Justice.”
