Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu came to his hometown Trabzon within the scope of a series of visits and programs. Minister Uraloğlu, who performed the noon prayer at İskenderpaşa Mosque, came together and chatted with the community. Uraloğlu, who also visited the tradesmen on Kunduracılar Street, examined the ongoing construction of Trabzon City Hospital on site.

“WE CANCELED UNTIL MARCH 2”

Speaking after his examination at the city hospital, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Unfortunately, there are developments in the Middle East today that we do not want. As a result of Israel’s attack on Iran, we follow that Iran, Israel and Iraq have closed their airspace. Likewise, we know that Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait have also issued NOTAMs to close their airspace. We have closely followed and managed the sector in terms of civilian flights. Currently, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus each have an aircraft on the ground in Iran. We will work on bringing them to the country depending on the outcome of this attack process. We also carried out similar processes during the 12-day conflict. Of course, our main goal is to prevent such attacks in our region and I would like to say that our President is following very closely due to the ongoing risks in the region. Likewise, we canceled all flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan until March 2. “We have also canceled the flights to Oman on a daily basis. We will follow these developments according to the developments. It is our effort to end this war or attack situation as soon as possible,” he said.

‘CITY HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION IS AT THE LEVEL OF 90 PERCENT’

Regarding the construction work of the hospital, Minister Uraloğlu said, “We can say that we have reached over 90 percent level in the City Hospital. We received a briefing with our entire delegation. We are now almost at the stage of installing internal equipment and medical devices. We are talking about a construction area of 272 thousand square meters. I would especially like to say that it is a very large area. In the first stage, we are talking about a very important regional hospital that will be put into service with a bed capacity of over a thousand and will go up to 1,500 bed capacity. This is valuable for all of us. General “The construction of a large hospital with a hospital, a gynecology hospital, an oncology hospital, a cardiovascular surgery hospital, operating rooms and intensive care units, as well as approximately 2,500 indoor and outdoor parking spaces is continuing,” he said.

Before the COP31 Climate Summit to be held in Antalya, hosted by Türkiye, the “COP31 Digital Coordination Center” was launched by the Zero Waste Foundation. Individuals and institutions can directly contribute to the process through online “Share Your Opinion” and “Become a Stakeholder” forms. Applications; It will be evaluated in line with criteria such as target audience, geographical scope and scalability. Thanks to the Be a Stakeholder platform, it is aimed to identify organizations that want to develop collaborations compatible with UNFCCC priorities and to include them in the COP31 process. In her social media post regarding the launch of the COP31 Digital Coordination Center, First Lady Erdoğan said, “The ‘COP31 Digital Coordination Center’, implemented by our Zero Waste Foundation, brings together NGOs, the private sector and our citizens on the same ground. This meaningful step will lead to the COP31 process being realized with more active, more fair and broad-based participation.
