How did Türkiye become a nuclear power? The first and most important breakthroughs took place during the Berat Albayrak period.
While the world was shaken by the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran, nuclear energy came to the fore once again. While countries such as the USA, Russia, China, France, England, Israel and India have nuclear missiles, the detail of Pakistan in the list attracted attention. SABAH newspaper writer Mevlüt Tezel stated in his article today that Pakistan became a nuclear power thanks to the famous physicist Abdul Kadir Khan. Tezel pointed out that Türkiye made the first and most important breakthroughs when Berat Albayrak was the minister of energy. Stating that Türkiye will be the first country to produce electricity from a nuclear power plant or a nuclear reactor in 2026, Tezel said, “It is now better understood that Albayrak has undertaken many things that will disturb the dominant superpowers.” Here is Mevlüt Tezel’s article today…
The USA, Israel and many Western countries are now dropping bombs on Iran, where they have imposed huge embargoes for years!
The aim is to prevent Iran from building nuclear missiles!
Owning a nuclear missile means gaining ‘immunity’ against attacks from abroad and the privilege of being able to resist the pressure of the dominant powers in the world!
The USA, Russia, China, France, England, Israel, India, Pakistan and North Korea have nuclear missiles in the world.
The most surprising country on the list is Pakistan.
How can Pakistan, which ranks 42nd in the world’s gross domestic product list, where Türkiye ranks 16th, with a population of 259 million and where the population is largely low-income, have nuclear missiles?
Thanks to one man; Thanks to the famous physicist Abdul Kadir Khan.
It was Khan who enabled Iran to establish nuclear facilities.
He even contributed to North Korea becoming a nuclear power!
Han has an interesting life story that is reminiscent of a James Bond movie:
Abdul Kadir Khan, who lived in Bhopal, India in 1947, was one of the Muslims who crowded into the train stations and tried to escape for fear of death when he was 11 years old.
He never forgot to take the fountain pen from an Indian guard’s pocket!
Han, who settled in Karachi, won a government scholarship thanks to his superior intelligence and went to Germany.
He studied at the universities of Berlin, Delft and Louvain.
After graduating from metallurgical engineering, he worked on uranium enrichment technologies at URENCO facilities in Amsterdam.
PATIENT PHYSICIST
India’s nuclear missile test in 1974 was the event that spurred Khan into action.
He wrote a letter to Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and said, “I am at your service.”
He soon returned secretly to Pakistan, bringing centrifuge plans and technical documents with him.
Khan was provided with unlimited authority and budget.
Khan Research Laboratories was established.
Khan created an extensive supply network to obtain the parts needed to become a nuclear power.
In the process, he obtained everything needed for centrifuge production through his former colleagues and front companies.
In 1984, Pakistan opened its first uranium enrichment facility.
Pakistan joined the league of countries with nuclear missiles by conducting two separate nuclear tests in 1998.
Han was now a hero in his country.
Khan sold “P-1” type centrifuge plans and parts to Iran.
It supplied more advanced “P-2” centrifuges to Libya.
He exchanged nuclear technology with North Korea in exchange for missiles.
With the exposure of Libya’s secret nuclear program in 2004, Khan’s name was reflected in the world public opinion as a ‘nuclear lunatic’.
The US caught the ear of the Pakistani government, and Khan was accused of nuclear smuggling and kept under house arrest until 2009.
Even when he was released, his contact with the outside world was limited for many years.
Han died due to complications of covid-19 on October 10, 2021, at the age of 85, and was buried with a state ceremony.
Pakistan, which suffered constant defeats in the wars with India, is now in the league of countries that have gained ‘nuclear immunity’, thanks to the 165 nuclear missiles developed by Khan.
The lesson to be learned from this story might be; A scientist who loves his homeland can turn even a country with a bad economy into a nuclear power!
HOW DID Türkiye BECOME A NUCLEAR POWER?
Abdul Kadir Khan’s work on uranium enrichment technologies at URENCO facilities in Amsterdam in the 1970s, after graduating from metallurgical engineering in Germany, played a key role in Pakistan becoming a nuclear power.
We live in a very different world from the 1970s. Now they won’t let a foreign national, especially a Muslim, near uranium enrichment facilities!
Even working on nuclear technology without the knowledge of the USA and Israel is now a reason to be killed!
There is no Iranian nuclear scientist left that MOSSAD did not kill!
It is known that Türkiye does not have its own nuclear missiles, except for the US bases in our country!
But we made the first and most important breakthroughs in nuclear energy when Berat Albayrak was the minister of energy.
On April 1, 2018, three days before the foundation of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant was laid, Albayrak said, “Hopefully, with the participation of our President and Russian President Putin, we will realize the most important step of our 60-year nuclear dream by laying the foundation on Tuesday.”
And now, in 2026, there is little time left until Türkiye will be the first country to produce electricity from a nuclear power plant or a nuclear reactor.

DMM’s denial of “MI6” allegations! – Breaking News
The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) published a statement regarding the news served by a foreign news agency claiming that Türkiye requested protection for the Syrian President from British intelligence.
“THE NEWS DOES NOT REFLECT THE TRUTH”
In DMM’s statement, the allegations in foreign media were directly rejected and the following statements were made:
“The news published today in a foreign news agency that ‘Turkey asked the British MI6 to increase the protection of the Syrian President Shara’ does not reflect the truth. It is not true that the MIT made any requests from MI6 regarding the protection of the Syrian President or asked them to take on such a role, as claimed in the news in question.”

MIT’S EMPHASIS ON REGIONAL COOPERATION
Reminding that the main focus of Türkiye’s intelligence activities is the fight against terrorism, DMM clarified the work of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) at both regional and international levels with the following words:
“The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) is in effective cooperation with both the international intelligence community and the security units of our neighbor Syria in the field of counter-terrorism. The recent successful operations carried out together with the Syrian authorities against the DAESH terrorist organization are among the most current examples of this cooperation.”
The Center for Combating Disinformation warns against manipulative content: “The public is kindly requested not to rely on unfounded claims, posts and content.” he warned.
