Stating that Burhanettin Bey was appointed governor of Tekirdağ and then Kocaeli in 1946, Atabay said that he told about a memory he had in Çanakkale during the 18 March ceremonies held in Kocaeli in 1951. Regarding the ceremony in question, Atabay said, “The two of them had emotional moments when a person who attended the ceremony at that time said that he was also a servant at the same headquarters.” he said.
