I asked them to line up the vehicles at three points and close them, take the keys of the vehicles and leave the place. Because the coup plotters could use force. At the program in the complex after the coup, Ramazan Bal said to me, ‘President, you saved us with 15 minutes.'”

“THEY MADE THE DOZER DRIVER WEAR A STEEL VEST AND BROKE THE DOOR AND ENTERED IN”

“The center of the coup was the Gendarmerie General Command, right under the Presidential Complex. Deputy Chief of Special Operations Eraslan Er lined up the police around the Gendarmerie General Command. He did not move the 15-20 police and gendarmerie from the building. They asked me for two bulldozers to get in. They made the dozer driver wear a steel vest and broke the door and entered. The officers lined up in the garden in their underwear. “We saw the view there.”

“THE POLICE ARE IN THE FRONT, WE ARE BEHIND, WE REMOVED THE COUPISTS AWAY FROM TÜRKSAT”

“The request came from the police intelligence. Mr. Melih said, ‘Türksat has been occupied. We are going to rescue. We want civilian support.’ Thereupon, I met with the AK Party Gölbaşı Organization. I sent them four articulated buses. I also sent 50 vehicles of various sizes from Ankara. “The police were in the front, we were behind, removing the coup plotters from Türksat.”

“My son Osman Gökçek invited the people to the streets on Beyaz TV. From this night until noon the next day, I contacted a total of 18 television channels, calling the people to the streets and informing the public about the developments. After making the speech on Beyaz TV, Osman Gökçek went to TRT with his friends and saved TRT from the hands of the coup plotters.”

“OUR PRESIDENT SAID, ‘HANG UP THE PHONE’. HALF AN HOUR LATER, PLANES COMING FROM ESKİŞEHİR BOMBED THE RUNWAYS IN AKINCILAR”

Melih Gökçek, “What was your reaction when you learned about the July 15 coup attempt? How did you announce this coup attempt to the public?” He answered our question as follows:
“We did not have the chance to contact our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the first moment. We made the decisions on our own, of our own free will. That evening, until noon the next day, I appeared on 18 television channels and invited the people to the streets. When we talked to our President by phone, he asked us to gather at the airport. We immediately fulfilled his instructions. But I insisted that Mr. President should definitely not come to Ankara, that they could shoot him down while coming by plane in the air.”
“I spoke to my president again on the phone in the morning. I said that we were generally in control of the situation in Ankara, but we could not intervene in Akıncılar. We burned tires to close the visibility of the planes in Akıncılar, but we could not prevent the planes from taking off. When I told this to our President, he said ‘Hang up the phone’. Half an hour later, planes coming from Eskişehir bombed the runways in Akıncılar and thus the planes were prevented from taking off…”

“OUR STRUGGLE ON FETO MUST CONTINUE WITH SENSITIVITY”

Melih Gökçek reminded that the realization of FETO’s coup attempt would have a very bad impact on our country and said, “Turkey would be a slave to the political prostitute named FETO. Democracy in Türkiye would be a dream and Turkey would be the toy of a handful of terrorists.”
Gökçek said, “In my personal opinion, the danger of FETO continues. It cannot be said that it has been eliminated from state institutions. Our struggle must continue with sensitivity.”

Melih Gökçek also evaluated the statement of CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, saying, “I apologize to you for not being able to notice in time the agents of the FETO terrorist organization who sold their souls and insidiously infiltrated the sacred march that I started for the salvation, justice and bright future of this nation.”

Gökçek said, “I am the only person who has written a documented book on FETO-CHP relations. In the book I wrote, I published the relations of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and FETO members, one by one, with documents. I published it as a book.
