President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the visit of England’s King Charles III to the Cambridge Central Mosque was very valuable at a time when anti-Islamic sentiment and cultural racism were escalating on a global scale. Stating in his written statement that he was very pleased that the mosque hosted an extremely meaningful visit yesterday, Erdogan said, “We see that our mosque, which has been the symbol of solidarity against discrimination and respect against hatred since the laying of its first brick, has successfully fulfilled this mission.”

Drawing attention to the importance that King Charles III attaches to the peaceful living of people of different cultures, origins and beliefs, Erdoğan emphasized that King Charles’ efforts in this direction are known. Conveying his greetings to the friendly people of England, Erdoğan stated that he would be pleased to host King Charles in Türkiye. Erdoğan noted that he respectfully greeted the members of the Muslim community living in England, especially Turkish citizens. Meanwhile, King Charles, Türkiye’s Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş, Cambridge Mosque Foundation Trustee Zeynep Coşkun Koç, Vice President of Religious Affairs Assoc. Cambridge Central Mosque, which was opened in 2019 with a ceremony attended by President Erdoğan, stands out as the “first environmentally friendly mosque in Europe.” Photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps, sedum roofing, natural ventilation systems and wood from sustainably managed forests were used in the mosque. The mosque, where natural materials are used, also attracts attention with its zero carbon footprint feature. Approximately 40 percent of its electricity comes from solar energy.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, at the Cyber ​​Security Meeting held in GAMER Meeting Hall, the last 6 months of operational process in the fight against cyber crimes, threat projections of the relevant units within the General Directorate of Security and Gendarmerie General Command for 2026 and beyond, new generation cyber security strategies developed against artificial intelligence-based attacks and the integrated operational capacity that will strengthen inter-institutional data sharing were discussed.

At the meeting, Çiftçi pointed out that security risks are changing rapidly with the development of digital technologies, and stated that criminal organizations operate on a global scale using internet technologies and artificial intelligence. Minister Çiftçi said, “The crime profile we face is no longer static, but dynamic. Criminal organizations use internet technologies and artificial intelligence as weapons, establish networks at a global level and can change their methods instantly.” he said.

Giving a message of determination in the fight against cybercrime, Çiftçi said:

We will digitally trace the proceeds of crime, dry the financial veins of criminal organizations in the cyber world, and make the digital world not a shelter for criminals, but an area where justice will prevail.”

According to the statement made by the Ministry, Bayraktar participated in the 2nd Grand Wrestling Festival Junior Championship held at Ankara Sports Hall. What needs to be done here is not to direct the responsibility to other institutions, but to initiate the cleaning work and ask for support from DSI if needed. Our duty is not to escalate the debate, but to bring our institutions together for a solution.”
