Evaluating that Özel’s adoption of a discourse aimed at discrediting Türkiye in the eyes of the international public is incompatible with the understanding of responsible politics in his article in the Financial Times, Yayman said, “I say it very clearly, Mr. Özgür Özel, ‘you are on the wrong side of history’. The way to power is not to obey globalist lobbies, but to win the hearts of Türkiye’s streets, squares and our beloved nation.” expressed his opinion.

Hüseyin Yayman stated that bringing Türkiye’s domestic political debates to the agenda of international actors through foreign media and making Türkiye controversial through “regional risk” and “danger” discourses will not contribute to the country’s reputation, on the contrary, it will harm it.

Yayman said, “The political struggle should be waged in the presence of our nation, on democratic grounds and at the ballot box, not in the columns of foreign newspapers.”

“What will shape Türkiye’s future is not the pages of the Financial Times or the evaluations of foreign capitals, but the will of our beloved nation. The security of our state, the reputation of our nation and the international prestige of our country are too valuable to be used as a material for daily political calculations. A political approach that brings Türkiye into debate through foreign media at every opportunity and tries to wear down our country in the eyes of the international public is incompatible with the expectations of our nation, the understanding of national responsibility and the culture of democratic politics.”

Emphasizing that it is unacceptable for FETO to continue its activities under the guise of educational and cultural activities, AK Party Çanakkale Deputy Ayhan Gider directly conveyed to his Romanian interlocutors the expectation that the activities of the organization-related structures should be terminated, the relevant institutions should be taken over by the Romanian state or transferred to the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Gider, who met with the Speaker of the Romanian House of Representatives Sorin-Mihai Grindeanu, the President of the Senate Mircea Abrudean and the Chairman of the Romania-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Adrian Solomon, during the meetings held in Bucharest, drew attention to the importance of the strong political, economic and strategic cooperation between Turkey and Romania for the region.

While topics such as the security balance in the Black Sea, defense industry cooperation, increasing trade volume and visa processes were discussed during the meetings, Ayhan Gider also conveyed Türkiye’s sensitivity regarding FETO to his interlocutors in a clear and concise language. Emphasizing that it is unacceptable for FETO to continue its existence in Romania under the guise of educational and cultural activities, Gider stated that schools and structures affiliated with the organization continue to pose a serious security threat for Türkiye.

Stating that Türkiye’s expectations are very clear, AK Party Çanakkale Deputy Ayhan Gider conveyed the request to the Romanian authorities to end the activities of the structures in question and to take over the relevant institutions by the Romanian state or transfer them to the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Stating that the relations between the two countries are progressing with a strong momentum in every field, Gider said, “There is an exemplary basis for cooperation between Turkey and Romania. It is in our common interest to maintain the momentum we have achieved in the fields of trade, transportation, defense industry and regional security. Stating that he encountered a different working environment after joining the AK Party, Köksal also spoke highly of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s approach. “Our esteemed President is a name that has proven that he is a great leader with the actions he has taken so far. He is extremely tolerant, fatherly and sincere towards people. He approached me in a really fatherly manner. Frankly, I did not expect him to show such closeness.”

Stating that President Erdoğan attaches special importance to Afyonkarahisar, Köksal stated that his demands were met directly and said: He has a great interest in Afyonkarahisar and provides direct support to fulfill all our demands. I have not seen such support from CHP in the last three years.

I would like to state clearly here: In our evaluations of the countries that request extradition from Türkiye, we will take into account their responses to our justified extradition requests. We will carefully examine whether there is cooperation regarding extraditions and whether the principle of legal cooperation and reciprocity between us is respected.

May our beloved nation be relieved: We will not abandon the pursuit of terrorists, members of organized crime groups, fraudsters and criminal groups who threaten the peace of our nation, no matter which criminal organization they belong to or which country they flee to.

This successful process, carried out by our Ministry of Justice and in close coordination with our Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reveals our country’s institutional capacity, diplomatic effectiveness and strong will in the fight against crime.
