SETTLEMENT IRREGULARITY IN BEYLİKDÜZÜ MUNICIPALITY

In the expert reports prepared by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, it was determined that changes were made against the zoning legislation and there were violations of the license projects in 4 different islands and parcels where İmamoğlu construction company was the building contractor. During the investigations, it was revealed that the Beylikdüzü Municipality issued a Building Usage Permit (Occupancy Permit) for the buildings in question, despite all these contradictions.

27 DETENTION

In the operation carried out by Istanbul Police Department’s Financial Crimes Department teams on June 16, a detention order was issued for 28 people, including Beylikdüzü Deputy Mayor Tuncay Demircan, Beylikdüzü Municipality employees, architects, engineers and urban planners, civil engineers, partners of some building inspection companies and İmamoğlu İnşaat AŞ construction site managers, and 27 of the suspects were detained.

16 people who were interviewed by the prosecutor’s office were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty with a request for arrest. In the referral letter prepared by the prosecutor’s office, it was explained that the parcel located in Beylikdüzü Gürpınar District was first created for parcel 634 island 5, then it was terminated and then the island-parcel number, building address and contractor information were changed and shown as if it was used for other parcels.

İMAMOĞLU CONSTRUCTION IS SUITABLE FOR THE PROJECT

It was stated that the “In Mari Prime”, “In Mari Oxygen” and “In Mari Beylikdüzü” projects were implemented by İmamoğlu İnşaat in 2022 and 2023 on island 1185, parcel 5 and parcel 727 island, parcel 2.

UNFAIR BENEFIT

It was stated in the referral letter that the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change reports and the expert reports in the file found violations of the license and zoning legislation in these projects. In the referral letter, it was explained that the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change wrote a memorandum to Beylikdüzü Municipality regarding whether the license was appropriate or not, but false statements were made that there was no violation of the license.
