‘Environmentally friendly transportation’ message from Minister Uraloğlu: We will be among the leading countries in the world
Minister Uraloğlu addressed the participants at the “Zero Waste City Design: Urban Planning Panel for Climate Goals” held within the scope of the “Zero Waste Forum 2026” held at Atatürk Airport under the auspices of the Governorship of Istanbul and the coordination of the Zero Waste Foundation.
Providing information about the work they carry out as the Ministry, Uraloğlu said, “Our strategy is to be a pioneer in the world with an environmentally friendly vision that increases traffic safety in line with the zero emission target, supports intermodal transportation, is based on a strong corporate and physical infrastructure.” he said.
Pointing out that 355 billion dollars of investment has been made in the field of transportation in the last 23 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Uraloğlu said the following regarding the green transformation targets and the investments implemented within this scope:
“I would especially like to underline that this is a big figure. The 10-year production impact of this is 2 trillion dollars, so no matter how you look at it, I can say that we have made a profit on a basis of six to one. Again, on an annual average, we provide employment to approximately 1 million 200 thousand people. When we look at our share of carbon emissions in the sector, we see that 94 percent of this in terms of road, air and sea transportation is road, so we need to focus on this area a little more. We see that 91 percent of freight and passenger transportation is carried out via roads. “In order to reduce emissions, we are making an effort to reduce this to 80-70 percent in our country.”
Pointing out that Türkiye has a significant potential for reducing international carbon emissions, Uraloğlu stated that Türkiye has an emission reduction potential of approximately 11.5 million tons in east-west axis transportation on the Central Corridor.
Minister Uraloğlu continued as follows:
“The connections of the Central Corridor do not only pass through our country. We connect the three seas, the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean, to the logistics centers. We are talking about the Development Road Corridor, the road and railway that starts from the Persian Gulf from Iraq’s Faw Port and comes to our country with a distance of 1200 kilometers. This project will extend to Europe. We hope to start construction work soon and we predict that the emission reduction will be 5.5 million tons.”
Stating that Türkiye will assume the Term Presidency of the International Transport Forum (ITF), Uraloğlu stated that they aim to contribute to both the country, the region and the world by prioritizing connectivity and sustainability in corridors in this important forum with 72 members, including America and most of Europe, in 2027.
“IF WE DO NOT TAKE PRECAUTIONS, WE WILL ONLY REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS BY 4 PERCENT BY 2053”
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure was the first ministry in Türkiye to calculate the corporate carbon footprint and stated that they were able to carry out these studies in all sectors in this context.
Stating that the Ministry’s total carbon emissions have been calculated as 2 million 118 thousand tons in 2024, Uraloğlu said, “If we do not take precautions, we will only reduce carbon emissions by 4 percent by 2053, but if we take the necessary measures, we will have the opportunity to reduce it by 80 percent and we will really reduce it well below the world average.” he said.
In this regard, Uraloğlu shared the following information about their work to achieve the net zero emission target in transportation in Türkiye:
“We are continuing the net zero emission target in transportation in Türkiye with the first comprehensive project. We are examining the use of passenger and load-oriented zero emission vehicles, managing the transition from private vehicles to public transportation, introducing a net zero emission model and accessing international forums.”
“WE ARE FIRST IN EUROPE IN THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES PER DC SOCKET”
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu touched upon the importance of electric vehicles in achieving the net zero emission target.
Pointing out that Türkiye has come a long way in a short time in this regard, Uraloğlu said, “When we look at the number of electric vehicles, we have 427 thousand electric vehicles and 43 thousand sockets. We can say that one in every 10 electric vehicles has easy access to charging. I say excluding private ones. I would especially like to point out that we are the first in Europe in the number of vehicles per DC socket. Our infrastructure is really good at this point.” he said.
“ANNUAL TIME SAVING THANKS TO DIVIDED ROADS IS 801 MILLION HOURS”
Minister Uraloğlu pointed out the time saving and low emission advantages provided by divided roads and stated that these investments increase efficiency in transportation and play an important role in reducing environmental impacts.
Stating that thanks to these investments, traffic safety has increased and there has been a significant decrease in accidents, Uraloğlu said:
“We have increased the number of divided roads to over 30 thousand kilometers. By building highways, tunnels and viaducts, we have eliminated the waiting times for vehicles. In this way, we also reduce the risk of accidents. While we had 6 thousand 100 kilometers of divided roads in 2002, today we have moved to 30 thousand kilometers and the average speed on these roads has increased to approximately 90 kilometers per hour. Thanks to the divided roads, the annual time saving is 801 million hours and the annual fuel saving is 2.6 billion.” “We also built ecological bridges. We also strive to support natural life while building roads.”
Uraloğlu stated that approximately 60 percent of the emissions resulting from cargo transportation in urban mobility originate from urban activities and shared the following information about the measures and practices they plan in this field:
“We need to increase the number of scooters. We also need to increase bicycle and pedestrian movement as much as possible. We have built around 2000 kilometers of bicycle paths. We think this is not enough. There are currently 259 kilometers of completed projects. We will bring this to life in the coming period. We are also thinking about reducing emissions in urban journeys. We strive to support these with subways and bicycle paths, such as home-workplace connections. We provide support worth 21.5 million euros in 10 different provinces in terms of sustainable urban mobility plans. Mobility “We strive to place subways and public transportation vehicles in busy places such as city centers, living areas, and business centers with intense pedestrian movement.”
SUSTAINABLE GREEN TRANSFORMATION IN RAILWAYS, AVIATION AND MARITIME
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu stated that railway transportation plays a critical role in reducing emissions and that increasing the share of railways in freight and passenger transportation is of strategic importance in terms of environmental sustainability.
Stating that railways are the sector where emissions can be reduced the fastest and that technological developments in the world accelerate this process, Uraloğlu said the following about Türkiye’s work on this subject:
“At this point, we aimed to increase our railway network, which is currently 14 thousand kilometers, to 28 thousand 500 kilometers. There are currently 4 thousand 150 kilometers of railways under construction in Türkiye. We will have completed 3 thousand kilometers of it within two years and put it into service. Knowing how positively international financial institutions view the railway, we are trying to bring the maximum benefit from there to our country and region. In addition, we are connecting the railways and logistics centers. Both the pandemic process and Russia-Ukraine “We all know how important logistics is because of the War and the Gulf War, and we connect logistics centers and production centers with railways. We have increased the urban rail systems in our country to 1036 kilometers, but we need to go much further than this by connecting our 20 provinces with high-speed trains, thus connecting more than half of our population.”
Uraloğlu emphasized that the work carried out in the fields of aviation and maritime is also of critical importance in this process and said the following about the projects carried out in these fields:
“We are expanding the production and use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in aviation. We have serious action projects here, and we will achieve a proportional reduction of around 5 per thousand in the first stage. Turkey ranks third in the world in ship transformation. We are in third place in terms of transforming these ships, not leaving them to nature as they are. On this occasion, let me say that we are one of the few countries in the world that can design, produce, operate a ship and recycle it at the end of its life. We also encourage the renewal of our fleet. Certain classes, “We definitely provide higher support to those who consume green energy. We are making an effort to electrify all the cruise ships we use in Marmara. We are following this closely. We have received green certification for many of our ports and we will continue to do so.”
Minister Uraloğlu completed his presentation by giving information about the investments and ongoing projects in the fields of transportation and communication, especially road, railway, aviation, maritime, communication and satellite technologies.

Representatives of NGOs and political parties and many sports fans attended the competitions. Speaking here, World Ethnosport Confederation Chairman Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan stated that they started their traditional sports journey in 2015 and said, “We established the ethnosport union, we are the largest traditional sports umbrella organization in the world. We said let’s introduce the javelin in Anatolia to our compatriots in Central Asia, and let’s introduce the kokbörü sport of our compatriots in Central Asia to Anatolia.
“Our Kyrgyz brothers were already playing Kökbörü among themselves, and our teams that did not know Kökbörü also learned it,” he said. Fire solidarity – Breaking News
Spain, which has been fighting forest fires for days, thanked Türkiye for sending support to the extinguishing efforts. Türkiye immediately responded to the call for help made through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism due to uncontrolled forest fires in Spain. Ankara dispatched 2 fire extinguishing aircraft to the region with an emergency code to participate in fire extinguishing operations.
Türkiye’s air support move was welcomed in Spain. Spanish politician and European Parliament (EP) member Nacho Sanchez Amor thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Türkiye for this solidarity move against the fire disaster.
IT’S NICE TO HAVE FRIENDS
Drawing attention to the solidarity between the two countries after the planes were sent in the message he shared on social media, Sanchez Amor said, “We thank Turkey and President Erdoğan for sending a plane to help the Spanish authorities in our fight against forest fires. It is nice to have friends around us. If the need arises (I hope such a situation does not happen), we are always ready to help you.”

THE FLAMES CANNOT BE EXTINGUISHED
The fight against ongoing forest fires in the capital cities of Madrid and Avila continues. Spain’s Military Emergency Unit (UME) announced that they were fighting three separate fires with 1,200 soldiers and 400 vehicles.
On the other hand, in France, which had difficulties in fighting fires, approximately 42 thousand hectares of land turned to ashes. Extra fight between CHP and New Party
The allegations that nearly 200 extras were brought to the badge-wearing ceremony attended by CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in Istanbul and that the hall was filled in this way were denied, accompanied by harsh criticism, from CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Gürsel Tekin and former CHP General Secretary Mehmet Sevigen. Gürsel Tekin, who held a press conference, said: “They did something that the devil would never think of.

We filed a criminal complaint immediately at night. At first, me and our friends were not involved in any dirty side. We did not set a trap for anyone. Whoever set this trap, even if it is my brother, dear prosecutors, you will go to the end. We will definitely find whoever is responsible for this FETO-like scheme. “What happens if there are 70 people missing in a huge hall, what happens if there are more?”

MEDIA TRACE FUNDS
Reacting to CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the supporting media that broadcast bias against them, Tekin said, “700-800 of our friends around our hall could not even enter. Because the number of the hall was limited. Our kindness has reached the limit. We know what we have suffered from these for 10 months.” Tekin, who also revealed with his documents the invoices issued by Özel and his team to some media organs, said, “Burhanettin Bulut is looking at ‘media buying’. Aziz İhsan is buying Burhanettin, and Burhanettin is buying your news.

Yesterday the first two news were published by Akşam and BirGün. “Here are the invoices issued to Gazete Gündem,” he said. Tekin also showed the 3.5 million lira invoice that Özel and his team allegedly issued to BirGün Newspaper. Speaking to SABAH, former CHP General Secretary Mehmet Sevigen said, “I was there too. They tell stories. Don’t we have the power to find 200-300 people and give money to casting agencies? If we had such a problem, we would immediately bring 10 thousand men from the provinces and districts. I can’t understand what kind of CHP these people are creating in their minds. “I personally know 90 percent of the people in the hall,” he said. Meanwhile, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the allegations upon the application of the CHP. In this crisis, which was reflected in the field after Özel and his team left the CHP and formed a New Party, there was no direct evaluation from the Özgür Özel front regarding the “extra” allegations.

They doubled the tweets – MELİH ALTINOK
CHP journalists must be due to the unrest in their party, they are very aggressive.
Some people’s plans and dreams have been dashed. Some have wounds. Kılıçdaroğlu team shares the records of the money paid to CHP journalists, name by name, every day during the special period. Yılmaz Özdil confirms by saying, “They offered me money too.”
The reasons may be different, but the result is sad.
You may have noticed that recently, someone had a crisis while presenting news and started talking to himself. He took his anger out on Syrian President Shara:
“When you make a murderer president, you do not become a nation where everyone will applaud a murderer. You cannot make two terrorists respect you when you wear a tie like that. This is a state founded by the commander-in-chief, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk!”
Another one advised his colleagues in the media, “Let’s not even mention the name of CHP from now on, let’s talk about CHP as much as we do not write anything about small parties.”
Only CHP journalists?
Fugitive FETO members are also on the front.
Yesterday, CHP member Atilla Sertel exposed one of them with the following words: “Listen to this speech of the FETO fugitive traitor (Cevheri Güven). This FETO fugitive, who has sworn to destroy the CHP and is an enemy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is giving advice to Özgür Özel and his friends. I bring it to the attention of those in the New Party. I hope they will give the necessary response to these FETO members.”
I opened the video shared by Sertel. The person he mentioned was giving the following tactics for the New Party to succeed:
“For Özgür Özel, the Republican People’s Party has no longer been the main opposition party, it is a party that will disappear with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. All these CHP cadres should now leave their agenda, they should not even mention their names. What should they focus on? Power. What they should focus on is the people. The CHP book should now be completely closed. CHP should be one of the parties that will be forgotten and destroyed. Just like ANAP, just like the True Path Party…”
The only chance for tens of thousands of fugitive FETO members to return to Türkiye is Erdoğan’s overthrow. They spend their time 24/7 on this job. This time, their only hope is not Kılıçdaroğlu’s CHP, but the New Party of the Özel-İmamoğlu duo.
The main opposition leadership, which will be a spare wheel for İmamoğlu, is enough for Özel in the first stage, but this target will no longer cut the strings of FETO, which was taken over by Israel; The owners want power.
That’s why they doubled down on tweets and unleashed their trolls on those who criticized the New Party.

Minister Kacır: “Terminal Istanbul will serve as the world’s largest entrepreneurship center”
Kacır made a written statement regarding the Terminal Istanbul project. In the statement, Kacır gave information about the ongoing works of the Terminal Istanbul project at Atatürk Airport and said, “Terminal Istanbul is the initial stage. The first step of the world’s largest entrepreneurship center. Very soon.” he said.
THE WORLD’S LARGEST ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER
On the other hand, according to the statement made by the ministry, Terminal Istanbul, which will be established at Atatürk Airport in line with the vision of the National Technology Move, will bring together Türkiye’s technology ecosystem and young entrepreneurs with world giants. The center, which aims to host thousands of entrepreneurs, technology companies and investors, will serve as the world’s largest entrepreneurship center with universal acceleration programs, co-working spaces and incubation centers. Terminal Istanbul will bring global knowledge, capital and experience directly to the Turkish ecosystem, thanks to the established strategic international collaborations. In this context, the partnership established with Techstars, one of the world’s largest accelerators, will be one of the strongest examples of global actors actively taking part within the center. Turkish enterprises’ access to global markets will be systematically supported, thanks to the contacts made in different geographies, especially Pakistan, Qatar, Paris and London, and the connections established with the Turkish diaspora and international technology platforms.
A CLUSTER STRUCTURE WILL BE CREATED
With the Tech Visa program implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the way will be paved for high-potential startups from different geographies of the world to operate within Terminal Istanbul. While the rapid adaptation of foreign enterprises to the Turkish market will be ensured through “soft landing” programs, grants, exemptions and incentive mechanisms, domestic enterprises will also be supported to expand into global markets. The center will accelerate the commercialization processes of deep technology initiatives, especially with shared laboratories, common access to high-cost devices, consumable supply centers and digital infrastructure solutions. In this way, it is aimed to produce a direct solution to the problem of non-commercialization of academic studies and R&D outputs. In addition, thanks to the cluster structure that will be created with the contribution of domestic technology leaders and global companies in 34 different technology verticals, vertical expertise will be provided in a wide range of fields, from artificial intelligence to biotechnology, from mobility to space technologies.

Investigation into ‘Cast Agency’ allegations at CHP’s Sarıyer event
Allegations that people who were not actually party members were taken to the event organized by CHP in Sarıyer, through a casting agency, hit the agenda like a bombshell. While the discussions were continuing, a complaint petition was submitted to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN STARTED
Within the scope of the investigation initiated after the complaint, the allegations made regarding the event and the publications made on this subject will be examined in all aspects.
The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that after the investigations are completed, the statements of the people subject to the complaint will be taken.
“SOMETHING THAT THE DEVIL CANNOT THINK OF”
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Gürsel Tekin made the following statement regarding the “paid extra” allegation:
“Partyship is completely voluntary. The mayor and administrators of Sarıyer Municipality, who allocated the hall to us, were lynched. Anyone who wants can pay and rent it. You rent the hall of your own municipality and your mayor is lynched. I will explain those gangs. They did something that the devil would never think of.
