Protecting the environment is patriotic awareness – Last Minute News

Published

on

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the “Cemre Foundation Promotion Program” held at Atatürk Cultural Center: I congratulate the Cemre Foundation, which started as a civil society movement in 2021 and turned into a corporate structure last year.

When it comes to the environment and combating disasters, ‘Who is there?’ When it is said; You represent millions of soldiers who say ‘I am’ without looking to the right or left. Therefore, I hereby respectfully salute you, my young friends, and all the responsible young people of Türkiye, whose sparkle in your eyes warms my heart and raises my hopes for the future. I feel great pleasure to be with you, who I believe will be in the 81 provinces of our country today and all over the world tomorrow. Walking with you is my greatest pride and happiness. When I look at you, my young brothers, I see not only the determination to flourish and keep Türkiye alive; At the same time, I see the heirs of a civilization that protects the rights of wolves and birds, mountains and stones, air and water. When I look at you, I see a sensitivity that speaks the same language as nature; I see a subtlety whose essence leads to truth and reality. When I look at you, I see the depth of perception in Aşık Veysel, who transformed our culture’s connection with existence into art by saying ‘My faithful half is black soil’.

When I look at you, I see not only the ambassadors of the heart who grow up like Hızır in natural disasters, but also a high sense of responsibility who feels responsible for the future of the world and makes helping those in need a lifestyle. When I look at you, I see the yeast of awakening and resurrection that no denial, alienation, or cultural erosion can erase from the hearts and minds of our nation, and the will to bring this to life. When I look at you, I see the manifestation of the values that make us a nation. Protecting the environment is patriotic consciousness.

We have carried out very important work on the environment since we became the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. We took care of ‘garbage, potholes and mud’. We turned the Golden Horn, which was discussed to be filled with soil due to bad smell, into the pearl of the Bosphorus again.

Today, the whole world is on the verge of serious challenges regarding the environment and climate. We are in a period when we need to increase our efforts on the environment and mobilize more people, especially young people. We increased the share of renewable energy in total installed power to 62 percent. We have made a revolution in terms of afforestation.

LAFTA ENVIRONMENTALISTS ARE CUTTING OLIVE TREES IN MILAS

When it comes to words, those who claim to be environmentalists but massacre olive trees in Milas and condemn the cities they rule to garbage, mud and pits; We will not allow the exploiters, who make our nation suffer without water for weeks in the middle of winter, to make our heavenly homeland uninhabitable, sometimes due to their incompetence and sometimes due to their extreme desire for profit. We never engage in political discrimination in environmental projects. We sincerely support every step and every idea that protects the environment, beautifies nature and contributes to our efforts in this field.

ZERO WASTE HAS BECOME A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

The Zero Waste Project, carried out under the auspices of my wife Emine Erdoğan, has now turned into a global environmental movement. The concept of zero waste forms the basis of our environmental projects. This movement teaches us that when we recycle a plastic bottle, we do not just dispose of waste; We also save the life of a creature, the beauty of a beach, and the hope of a child. When we save a tree, we also secure the breath of a generation. Now we are preparing to take all these efforts to the next level. As a result of diplomatic negotiations, we hosted COP 31. This year, we will host nearly 200 countries in Antalya, and hopefully we will say, “It is time for action, not words.”

Iftar with the KAYACIK FAMILY

President Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan were guests of Ali and Miyase Kayacık family at iftar dinner in Istanbul Beyoğlu last night. In her post on social media, First Lady Erdoğan thanked the Kayacık family for their hospitality and said, “We would like to thank the precious Kayacık family for opening their tables and hearts to us for their sincere hospitality. I wish health, peace and abundance in their household.”

ASKON ACCEPTED ITS MEMBERS

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the members of the Board of Directors of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON) at the Istanbul Dolmabahçe Working Office. The reception was held closed to the press.

HE PRAYED FRIDAY PRAYER IN THE RENOVATED MOSQUE WITH THE SUPPORT OF KADEM

PRESIDENT Erdoğan performed the Friday prayer at the Örnek District Central Mosque in Ataşehir. At noon, Erdoğan came from his residence in Üsküdar Kısıklı to the Örnek District Central Mosque, which was rebuilt due to earthquake risk with the support of philanthropists and under the leadership of the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM). Citizens showed love to Erdoğan after leaving the mosque

Important step from MHP against violence

Published

on

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) rolled up its sleeves to prevent violence in social life, education and health. The studies of the commission, which included academics and field professionals from the fields of law, psychology, political science, philosophy, economics and health, were collected in the book “Combatting Individual and Social Violence”, together with field examples. MHP Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter noted that the commission of 22 people worked for 4 months for the book. In the foreword of the book, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli’s evaluation was included. Pointing out that the increase in individual and social violence has reached alarming levels, Bahçeli said, “Crimes committed against our little children, murders, rapes becoming normal, attacks nestled in life, cases of violence, lines of fight and polarization extending from the family to the society in general are a suffocating ball of problems that need immediate intervention and require an emergency action plan.”

GOOD CONDUCT RECOMMENDATION

In the book, it was suggested that people who have completed the minimum period in prison should not automatically be considered to be of good behavior, and that they should benefit from conditional release if they are deemed to be truly reformed. The book also included a recommendation to establish a board to prevent individual and social violence.
