Expert report on Tuana’s death revealed: He applied the brakes 4 meters after the crash
An expert report has emerged regarding the accident in which 16-year-old Elif Tuana Torun, who was harassed by CHP’s former Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede, lost her life. In the report, it was determined that the driver was 1.97 promil alcohol and that the brake and tire marks started approximately 4 meters from the point where Tuana fell. In the expert report of the accident submitted to the Görele Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that the arrested driver Adem Hasbaş did not show the necessary attention and care before the accident, and although he could have prevented the accident by effective braking, he did not take sufficient precautions in this direction.

DRIVER AT FAULT
It was noted that the brake and tire tracks started approximately 4 meters from the point where Tuana fell. The report stated that the driver’s behavior at the time of the incident may have been caused by the loss of perception and coordination due to the measured 1.97 promil alcohol. Driver Hasbaş, who was found to be ‘secondarily at fault’ in the report for violating his ‘obligation to adjust his speed according to road, weather and traffic conditions’, claimed in his statement that the accident occurred while he continued driving, assuming that Tuana was with his back turned and wearing headphones, and that he could pass from the left side by using flashlights and honking the horn. It was revealed that the detained driver Adem Hasbaş worked at Ziyade Restaurant in Görele, and the owner of the business, Osman Akkoyun, was Hasbi Dede’s former brother-in-law.

Türkiye is a key country – Breaking News
In his ceasefire message, President Erdoğan said, “We are pleased with the ceasefire declared in the war that turned our region into a fire. We hope that the ceasefire will be fully implemented on the field, without giving any opportunity to possible provocations and sabotages. It is our sincere wish that our geography, which has suffered greatly from war, conflict, tension and oppression, will find peace, tranquility and stability as soon as possible. Turkey will continue to raise the voice of peace in its region and in the world.”
Türkiye has become the key country for peace, thanks to the active diplomacy carried out by President Erdoğan, who has met with the leaders of more than 20 countries since February 28, when the war began, and the effective work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the MİT. Erdoğan, as one of the rare leaders who can talk comfortably to both US leader Trump and Iranian leader Pezeshkian, has undertaken a historic mission to end the war as soon as possible.
Under Erdoğan’s directive, all institutions of the state carried out the necessary work to ensure that the process did not negatively affect Türkiye and that the crisis ended safely. Playing a strategic role behind the scenes, Ankara brought effective, active and play-making moves to the table for the formation of peace and security architecture at every stage through Pakistan. The ceasefire text was woven together with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s hourly contact traffic with the USA, Iran, Egypt, Afghanistan, Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and England.
MİT worked in coordination with all institutions in the background to facilitate the ceasefire and prevent the escalation of conflicts by conducting effective intelligence diplomacy. MİT played important roles in keeping communication channels open and determining ways to stop the conflict. MİT Directorate assisted other countries’ evacuation and humanitarian requests from conflict zones. The Organization also carried out active work to prevent the crisis situation in Iran from negatively affecting the Terrorism-Free Türkiye process and to prevent an ethnic conflict within Iran. In addition, strict precautions were taken by MİT against espionage activities that could be carried out in our country by taking advantage of the turmoil in the region.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “We call on the Greek authorities to turn back from the wrong path”
The following statements were used in the written statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“Greece persistently continues to disregard the rights and freedoms of the Minority guaranteed by the Lausanne Peace Treaty by not recognizing the Muftis elected by the Western Thrace Turkish Minority. The ‘appointed Mufti’ determination process, which was imposed under the guise of ‘election’ in Dimetoka in the past months, without consulting with the representatives and institutions of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority, is now being implemented in the Rhodope and Xanthi provinces as well.” is being studied.
It is not possible for us to accept these practices. On this occasion, we once again bring to the attention of the international community that Greece does not recognize the elected religious leaders of an official minority in its country. We emphasize that Greece’s ending of its oppressive practices against our compatriots will have a positive impact on our bilateral relations, and we call on the Greek authorities to turn back from the wrong path they insistently follow regarding the Western Thrace Turkish Minority.
“Türkiye will continue to closely monitor the protection of the rights of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority in Greece, taking into account its contractual obligations.”

MHP leader Bahçeli: “We welcome the ceasefire decision”
“IT IS NOT A COincidence THAT THE ATTACK WAS CARRIED OUT IN A CRITICAL AREA LIKE LEVENT IN ISTANBUL”
Underlining that the place where the attack was carried out was not chosen by chance, Bahçeli said, “While the search for peace and diplomatic contacts were continuing on the one hand, the terrorist attack carried out by proxies of certain circles that showed their dark side in Istanbul, on the other hand, targeted Türkiye. Although the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Beşiktaş Levent, Istanbul was initially presented as ‘The Israeli Consulate General was targeted’, the fact that the consulate was empty indicates that the nature of the incident was different.” “It is not a coincidence that the attack was carried out in a critical region such as Levent in Istanbul, one of the alternative centers that stand out with its geopolitical location and strong financial infrastructure, in an area where international companies are concentrated, and in a way that directly targets our security forces. Moreover, it is known that some companies based in the Middle East and Asia are seeking to move their activities to safer financial centers due to Iran-US tension and regional uncertainties, and that Türkiye is carrying out various studies on this issue, and it is shared with the public at the highest level.”
“Türkiye WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE NAME OF HOPE AND STABILITY”
Stating that the peace and security of our beloved nation will never be left under the shadow of such threats and threats, Bahçeli said, “I wholeheartedly congratulate our heroic police officers, who are the most concrete manifestation of this determination, and congratulate our security forces who prevented a major disaster with their selfless interventions, and the entire security bureaucracy who followed the process with great care and meticulousness, and I wish a speedy recovery to our injured brothers. Turkey continues to stand tall against terrorism, provocations and dirty scenarios, and to be the name of hope and stability in the region.” “It will,” he said.

Minister Göktaş: “We do not have an agenda to close or ban the games”
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş made a statement at the “Workshop on Children Driven to Crime”. “Today, we know that the child being dragged into crime is linked to the emergence of many interconnected risk factors at the same time,” Minister Göktaş said, adding, “We do not have an agenda such as closing or banning the games.”
Göktaş attended the “Workshop on Children Driven to Crime”, hosted by Mehmet Uçum, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Legal Policies Board, at Çankaya Mansion. In his opening speech, Göktaş stated that he found the workshop organized by the Presidential Legal Policies Board “precious” and said that the issue of children dragged into crime will be discussed in the workshop with the dimensions of law, social policy, family structure, education, security and digital environment.
Stating that the issue of children dragged into crime has recently become a “sad and sensitive” agenda topic, Göktaş emphasized that the main reason for this is the succession of events that deeply wound the public conscience. Stating that the establishment of an investigation commission on this issue in the Turkish Grand National Assembly shows that the issue is now being addressed in a broader framework, Göktaş said, “Today, we know that the child’s being dragged into crime is linked to the emergence of many interconnected risk factors at the same time. Disengagement from school, absenteeism, peer bullying, domestic problems, contact with street and criminal circles, and the risk of addiction feed this process. I would like to emphasize that harmful content, especially in digital media, increases children’s contact with risk areas.” he said.
“WE DO NOT HAVE AN AGENDA SUCH AS CLOSING OR BANNING GAMES”
Pointing out that they see the social media regulation, which aims to bring children and young people together with a safer digital environment, as a “critical step”, Göktaş said: “Today, many countries are taking serious and comprehensive measures to protect children from the risks they may encounter in the digital environment. We have been working on this issue for more than a year in order to develop a balanced and applicable model specific to our country. As a result of these studies, we have created the basic framework of social media regulation for children under the age of 15. With this new regulation, social network providers and game platforms are based on the protection of children.” We impose important obligations. We are creating a stronger legal basis that increases the responsibility of digital platforms and protects our children from online risks. I would especially like to emphasize that our basic approach here is not a prohibitive approach. We do not have an agenda to shut down games or ban them altogether.
