Rector of the National Defense University Prof. Dr. In his speech at the conference, Erhan Afyoncu stated that simple and understandable narration was effective in making history popular among large masses in Türkiye, and stated that the work they carried out together with the late İlber Ortaylı and Murat Bardakçı contributed to this process. Touching on current developments, Afyoncu stated that the world has entered a new period of geopolitical uncertainty and said, “The world is heading towards great chaos. It is vital that friendly and brotherly countries act together in this process.”

Harsh reaction from AK Party member Veysel Tipioğlu to criticism of the defense industry: This sky is no longer abandoned

Published

on

Speaking at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, AK Party Kocaeli Deputy and Chairman of the Security and Intelligence Commission Veysel Tipioğlu reacted harshly to the discussions on Türkiye’s defense industry investments and airspace security. Tipioğlu stated that Türkiye is no longer a power that outsources its defense to others, but builds its own “Steel Dome”.

“A Fragmented Perspective Does Not Reflect the Truth”

Saying that the comments made about the air defense capacity are “far from a holistic view”, Tipioğlu stated that Türkiye’s security has an architecture that is too complex and powerful to be indexed to a single system or a single missile. Tipioğlu said, “We have established a complete security umbrella at low, medium and high altitudes, from early warning radars to command and control centers.”

“Sky Homeland belongs to Turkey”

Touching on the importance of the SİPER, HİSAR and KORKUT systems developed with local and national resources, Tipioğlu reminded that the defense industry is not a choice, but a national obligation. Emphasizing President Erdoğan’s determination, Tipioğlu said, “This sky is no longer abandoned. The Sky Homeland is now in full security.”

EMPHASIS ON Türkiye CENTURY

Tipioğlu continued his words as follows:

Türkiye is no longer discussing its defense; It is a country that establishes and strengthens its defense. This sky is no longer ownerless, this sky belongs to Turkey. This sky is now under Türkiye’s control.

Turkey Century; It means strong leadership, strong defense and strong Türkiye.

In his speech, Tipioğlu thanked the engineers and workers who contributed to the defense industry, commemorated the personnel who were martyred in the terrorist attack against TAI, and gave the message that Türkiye will never step back from defense projects.

No discount for ages 15-18

Published

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey Investigation Commission on Children Driven to Crime listened to Ankara Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Pınar Akdoğan and Public Prosecutor Mahmut Nedim Başarangil. In his speech, Akdoğan said, “We have to accept full criminal responsibility for intentional murder, aggravated sexual abuse, plunder and terrorism crimes for the 15-18 age range. Applying a discount based on minor age does not mean protecting our children. You also have to take care of the victim. The Minguzzi case is like the Hakan Çakır file in Ankara.” Stating that children perceive committing a crime as a game, Akdoğan continued as follows: “Children who commit murder pose laughingly on social media, cut off another child’s ear and share it, in other words, they show crime as a fun and prestigious area.

We need to prevent these. Our goal is to integrate children into society, but not by wrapping them in cotton wool and protecting them.” Akdoğan stated that the children between the ages of 15-18 20 years ago and the children between the ages of 15-18 today who were born into the internet and social media are not the same, and this should be taken into consideration when applying the laws. Stating that children who commit crimes fall into the hands of gangs, Akdoğan said, “They are literally growing up in criminal farms. When it falls into the hands of a gang, the crime is seen as a promotion within the gang and a badge of pride. “When they get out easily with a discount, they commit crimes again and again: This is why recidivism provisions should not be applied,” he said.

REPORTS MAKE YOU STAND

Referring to the social investigation reports (SIR), Akdoğan said that these reports caused their work to stumble and files to pile up, as they were perceived as the reason for the return of indictment. Akdoğan said, “The main goal of SIR is to guide the judge, not the prosecutor. These reports should be received at the court proceedings. Since they are prepared in a long time, they will disrupt us at the investigation stage.”

Published

In his post on his social media account, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan said, “Under the strong and astute leadership of our President, Turkey has become an actor whose voice is listened to, whose weight is felt and that affects the balances. Türkiye’s foreign policy is shaped not by daily reflexes, but by an independent will, state mind and strategic foresight that centers the interests of our nation.”

Minister Fidan: Turkey has become a listened-to actor

Emphasizing that no accusations can overshadow the efforts put forth by Türkiye, Fidan said, “Ignoring the steps we have taken with the responsibility of governing the state and distorting the statements we have made are the product of bad faith and insensible minds that have no responsibility towards our nation. We approach the crises in our region calmly and assume responsibility for peace and stability. Turkey is a country that has always been able to clearly say what it thinks is right to all parties. Accusations disconnected from the truth only tire those who say it, as it does today; Türkiye, which strives sincerely, reveals itself.” “It cannot overshadow the effort he has put in,” he said.
