MHP lideri Bahçeli: Terörsüz Türkiye kritik bir eşik
MHP Genel Başkanı Bahçeli yaptığı yazılı açıklamada şu ifadeleri kullandı:
Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi’nin Türk siyasi hayatındaki 57 yıllık şerefli yolculuğunun yıldönümünde hepinizi en iyi dileklerimle, hürmet ve muhabbetle selamlıyorum.

Yurt içinde ve yurt dışında; televizyon ekranlarından, radyo kanallarından, sosyal medya platformlarından programımızı takip eden tüm kardeşlerimize şükranlarımı sunuyorum.
Türk milletinin yüzyıla damgasını vuracağı Türk ve Türkiye yüzyılının başında, yirmi birinci yüzyılın ikinci çeyreğine girdiğimiz bir dönemde kutladığımız 57’nci yılımız hayırlı olsun, uğurlu olsun.
Bu yolculuk; yufka yüreklilerle çetin yolların aşılmayacağını bilenlerin onurlu ve kararlı yürüyüşüdür.
Vatanımızın her karışına, aziz milletimizin her ferdine, milli varlığımızın her zerresine ve geleceğimize sahip çıkma mücadelesinde olanların yürüyüşüdür.
Bilge Kağan’dan, Alparslan’a;
Osman Gazi’den Fatih’e,
Kanuni’den Mustafa Kemal’e kadar;
Gaspıralı’dan Akçura’ya;
Mehmet Akif’ten Ziya Gökalp’e;
Mümtaz Turhan’dan Erol Güngör’e,
Osman Bölükbaşı’dan, Türkeş Bey’e kadar, elleri öpülesi isimli isimsiz sayısız ecdadımızın kutlu yürüyüşü ile bu günlere gelinmiş, “Devlet ebed müddet, millet ebed müddet” onlarla sağlanmıştır.

Bu vesile ile Partimizin kurucusu Başbuğumuz Alparslan Türkeş’i, rahmeti rahmana kavuşmuş tüm dava büyüklerimizi, aziz şehitlerimizi rahmet ve hürmetle yâd ediyorum.
Siyasi tarihimizin herhangi bir döneminde, üç hilali taşımış, hareketimizin yükselmesine omuz vermiş kıymetli dava arkadaşlarıma şükranlarımı sunuyorum.
İlk günkü azim ve kararlılıkla, onurla mazimizi nice 57 yıllara taşıma kararlılığındayız.
Türklük gurur ve şuuru, İslam ahlak ve faziletiyle, her yılı bir asra bedel 57 senede ilkelerimizden ve ülkülerimizden, vatan ve millet sevgimizden asla ödün vermedik.
Fitneye gelmedik ihanete boyun eğmedik.
Ne çizgimizden saptık ne duruşumuzu bozduk.
İmanla direndik, inançla güçlendik.
Hak’ka sığındık hakikatlilerle yürüdük.
Sabrettik, sebat ettik, desteği milletten, zaferi Allah’tan diledik.
Milletimize hizmet yolunda yılmadık yorulmadık.
İlk günkü azim ve kararla devletimizin bekası, milletimizin huzur ve refahı için gayret gösterdik.
Çok şükür ki başardık, mesafe aldık bu günlere ulaştık.
Kıymetli Dava Arkadaşlarım, Muhterem Misafirler,
1948’de Millet Partisi’yle başlayan doğuş, Cumhuriyetçi Millet Partisi ve Cumhuriyetçi Köylü Millet Partisi’yle adım adım Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi’ne ulaşmış, 9 Şubat 1969’da Adana’da başlayan kutlu yolculuk, şeref dolu 57 yılı geride bırakmıştır.
Tarihten geleceğe giden yolculuğun son 57 yılına damgasını vuran Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi’nin öncelikli mücadele maksadı ve varlık nedeni, kahramanların taşıdığı milli bekanın kopartılmadan devamını sağlamaktır.
Başbuğumuz Alparslan Türkeş’in Türk milletinin büyük ve şanlı mazisine layık bir istikbal meydana getirme davası olarak ifade ettiği Türk Milliyetçiliği davasının yegâne siyasi temsilcisi olan Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, Türk siyasetinde yerini aldığı günden bu yana şartlar ne olursa olsun “önce ülkem ve milletim” düsturuyla, Türkiye’nin millî varlığına ve tarihî misyonuna sahip çıkmıştır.
Şüphesiz bugünlerin gerisinde mağduriyetler, çileler ve şahadetler vardır.
Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi Türk siyasi hayatında, milliyetçiliğin, mukaddesatçılığın, ahlakçılığın ve Türk milletinin sinesinden doğmuş daha pek çok değerin temsilcisi olmuştur.
Siyaseti kısır bir iktidar mücadelesinin, çıkar ya da çatışmanın unsuru değil, toplumsal uzlaşının ve huzurun tesis aracı olarak görmüştür. Bizler, davasını ve ülkülerini hiçbir dünyevi menfaate değişmeyen, inanmış dava adamlarıyız.
Büyük Türk milletini içerisine düştüğü her türlü darboğazdan kurtarmayı görev addeden ülkücü hareket, kendisini milletine adamışların buluşma yeridir.
Bu şuurla, Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi 57 yıldır Türk milletinin hizmetindedir. Siyasi yolculuğumuz acılı, çileli ve meşakkatli olsa da onur, şeref ve Türklüğe hizmet yolunda başarılarla da doludur.
Orhun vadisinde başlayan yolculuğumuz cihanşümul devletler kurarak sürmüş, Cumhuriyetimiz ile taçlanmıştır.
Kökümüz derindir, cihanın dört bir yanına yayılmıştır. Gövdemiz sağlamdır, adaletle sarılmıştır. Dallarımız birbirinden müstesna çiçeklerle doludur.
Asya bozkırlarından Cumhuriyete uzanan bu muazzam tarih, bizim kutbumuz ve beslendiğimiz ana membadır. Türk milliyetçiliğinin kaynağı Türk tarih ve kültürü, onun da sahibi Türk milletidir. Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, yüzyılların birikimiyle oluşmuş bir milli fikir müktesebatının siyasal arenadaki temsilcisidir.
Dünümüz bellidir ve görkemlidir. Yarınımız da Cenab-ı Allah’ın izni ve inayetiyle muhteşem olacaktır.
Milliyetçilik anlayışımız, milletimizin egemenliği ve bağımsızlığını her şeyin üzerinde gören, kültür, gelenek ve tarih temelli bir anlayıştır. Türk milliyetçiliğinde dışlayıcılığa, bağnazlığa, saldırganlığa asla yer yoktur. Cenab-ı Allah’ın yarattığı her insanı kıymetli sayar, her millete saygı duyarız. Türk milletini milletler camiası içinde layık olduğu yerde tutmanın mücadelesini veririz.
Türk milliyetçiliği merhum Ziya Gökalp’in ifadesiyle Türkleşmek, İslamlaşmak ve Muasırlaşmak ülkülerinin bir meczidir. Fikri temelleri çok daha eskide olan 57 yıllık siyasi yolculuğun başlangıcında, davamızın siyasi temsilcisinin muhteşem ve muteber adı “Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi” olarak konulmuştur.
1969, yeminimizin tazelendiği tarihtir. O yemin ki, Orhun’da taşlara kazınan söz, Yusuf Has Hacip’in öğüdü, Ahmet Yesevi’nin hikmetidir.
Mevlana’nın merhameti, Fatih’ın kılıcı, Süleyman’ın adaletidir.
Mustafa Kemal’in kararlılığı, Alparslan Türkeş’in cesaretidir.
Fikir dünyamız Ziya Gökalp ile mefkûre hamlesine dönüşmüş, “dilde, fikirde, işte birlik” diyen Gaspıralı İsmail ile sloganlaşmıştır. Osman Turan ve İbrahim Kafesoğlu ile tarih yolculuğuna çıkmış, Mümtaz Turhan ve Erol Güngör ile doktrinini kuvvetlendirmiştir.
Kızılelma ve İlay-ı Kelimetullah ülkülerimiz aziz milletimizde karşılık bulmuş, gönüllere girmiş, Partimiz sayesinde de Türk siyasi hayatının değişmez parçaları olmuştur.
Böylesi bir tarihi mirasa sahip Partimiz, Türk milletinin bekası ve refahını ontolojik bir amaç olarak benimsemiştir.
Milletimiz ve devletimiz tarihin pek çok virajında uçurumun kenarına itilmiş, ancak feraseti, cesareti ve kimliğinin gücüyle her seferinde insanlık tarihindeki yolculuğunu kuvvetlenerek sürdürmeyi bilmiştir.
Ne zaman ve ne şekilde olursa olsun Türk milletini yok etmeye çalışanların ensesinde bozkurtun nefesini her daim hissettirmeye yeminliyiz.
Günümüzdeki savaş ve oyunlar insanlık tarihi boyunca görülen örneklerinden çok daha çetin ve çetrefillidir. Nitekim Türkiye bir yandan terör örgütleri eliyle yıpratılmaya çalışılmış, bir yandan da uluslararası yaptırımlar devreye girmiştir. Dış destekli demokrasi dışı girişimlerle istikrarsızlık oluşturulmuştur. Türkiye’nin şahlanışı her seferinde türlü oyunlarla engellenmeye çalışılmıştır.
Partimiz Türk siyasi hayatında yer aldığı dönemde gayri millî her türlü unsurun, Türk ve Türkiye düşmanlarının daima korkulu rüyası olmuştur. Büyük Türk milletini ve devletini yok etmek isteyen dahili veya harici mahfillerin karşısında en önemli caydırıcı güç olarak hep milliyetçi-ülkücü hareket durmuştur.
Bu şuurla Partimiz kökeni, anasının dili, mezhebi, meşrebi ne olursa olsun muhterem vatandaşlarımızı hedef alan her türlü tehdit ve tehlike karşısında milletçe bir ve beraber olabilmek için siyasi mücadelesini sürdürmektedir.
Muradımız milli birliğimizi güçlendirmektir. Türkiye’nin ve Türk milletinin ayağındaki tüm prangaları söküp atmaktır. Bin yıllık kardeşliğimizden aldığımız ilhamla bu topraklarda barış ve huzuru baki kılmaktır. Türkiye’yi tehdit eden gelişmelere karşı daha güçlü mukabele edebilmek, hep birlikte Türkiye olabilmektir.
Terörsüz Türkiye derken kastettiğimiz budur.
Milli birliğini kuvvetlendirmiş bir Türkiye, ekonomik ve sosyal kalkınmasını elbette daha kolay bir şekilde gerçekleştirecektir.
Bu cümleden olarak Türkiye’mizin geçtiği tarihi eşik hepimize, ihmal edilemez sorumluluklar yüklemektedir. Geleceğimize sahip çıkmak elimizdedir.
“Terörsüz Türkiye”, “Terörsüz, İstikrarlı Bölge” hedefleri Türk milletinin kaderine aracısız sahip çıkma hamlesidir. Kim veya kimler bu hedefleri engellemek istiyorsa maksatlıdır. “Terörsüz Türkiye” ve “Terörsüz Bölge” hedeflerini sekteye uğratmayı amaçlayanlar Türkiye ve Türk milletinin hasımları yahut onların işbirlikçileridir.
Bunlar ülke, millet hatta insanlık için faydalı işleri itibarsızlaştırma, toplumsal güveni aşındırma ve devlet kapasitesini zayıflatmaya memur edilmiş tiplerdir.
Türkiye’nin bağımsız, kendi ayakları üzerinde duran, kurumsal olarak güçlenmiş, küresel ölçekte söz sahibi bir aktör hâline gelmesini hazmedemeyen zavallılardır. Ancak terörsüz Türkiye yolunda bir bir aşılan engeller sonucu alınan mesafe karşısında Terörsüz Türkiye’ye şaşı bakanlar, milli birliği sabote etmek için el ovuşturanlar ve İsrail’e kukla olanlar hepsi birden açığa düşmüştür.
Kırılganlıklar devam etse de artık Suriye terörden tamamen arındırılma aşamasına gelmiştir. Suriye Cumhuriyeti’nde üniter, tek Suriye yolunda yeni bir denklem, yeni bir yapı oluşmuştur. Terörün tasallutu sona ermiş, Suriye ikinci defa özgürleşmiş, bunun kazananı da tüm Suriye halkı olmuştur.
Zira barış ve huzur ortamında herkes kazanacaktır. Suriye’de yaşanan son gelişmeler, Türkiye’nin milli huzur ve güvenliği, “terörsüz Türkiye” hedefi ve bölgesel istikrarın tesisi açısından kritik bir eşik teşkil etmektedir.
Bu bağlamda, kapsayıcı, toplumsal uzlaşıyı önceleyen ve terör örgütlerinden arındırılmış “tek Suriye”nin inşası, söz konusu hedeflere doğrudan hizmet edecek stratejik bir zorunluluk olarak öne çıkmaktadır.
Partimizin kuruluşunun 57’nci yıl dönümü de “terörsüz Türkiye” hedefinin somutlaştığı, bölgesel istikrarın milli güvenlikle bütünleştiği hayırlı bir döneme rastlamıştır.
Suriye’de olumlu gelişmeler yaşanırken Dünya huzursuz, başta İran olmak üzere bölgemiz yeni çatışmalara gebedir. Küresel sistem, son yıllarda eş zamanlı ve çok katmanlı krizlerin belirlediği istikrarsızlık sürecinden geçmektedir.
Benzer şekilde, Ukrayna–Rusya savaşı başta Türkiye’nin çabaları olmak üzere askeri ve diplomatik tüm girişimlere rağmen kalıcı bir barışla sonuçlandırılamamış, Avrupa güvenlik mimarisinde uzun vadeli belirsizlikleri derinleştirmiştir.
Gazze’de ilan edilen ateşkese karşın, sivil halkın beslenme, barınma ve temel insani ihtiyaçlara erişiminde yaşanan ciddi yetersizlikler, insani krizin yapısal niteliğini sürdürdüğünü göstermektedir.
Küresel adalet yerlerde sürünmekte, mazlumların feryatları her coğrafyadan duyulmaktadır.
Türkiye, Cumhurbaşkanımız Sayın Recep Tayyip Erdoğan öncülüğünde yeni bir çatışma iklimi oluşmaması için tüm insani ve diplomatik çabayı iyi niyetle ortaya koymaktadır.
Bu yönüyle Türkiye diplomasinin önemli merkezlerinden birisi haline de gelmiştir.
Dileğimiz aklın, izanın ve sağduyunun hâkim olması, bölgemizde huzurun ve barışın tesis edilmesidir.
Aziz Milletim, Değerli Dava Arkadaşlarım,
Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi Türkiye’yi ve Türk milletini güvenli müreffeh bir geleceğe taşımaya yeminlidir. Uzun vadeli stratejik hedefimiz Türk ve Türkiye yüzyılını adım adım inşa ederek İstanbul’un fethinin 600. Yıldönümü olan 2053 yılında Türkiye’nin Dünyada süper güç ve lider ülke haline gelmesini sağlamaktır.
Bu amaçla 2053 yılına kadar olan “27 yıllık dönem dokuzar yıllık üç aşamalı” bir stratejik planlamayla ihya edilmelidir. Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi olarak 2053 yılına kadar küresel alanda güç merkezi haline gelmiş bir Türkiye’yi oluşturmaya kararlıyız. Bu doğrultuda küresel liderlik için bir yol haritası ortaya konulmalıdır. Bize göre “2053 Küresel Liderlik Yol Haritası” üç dönem halinde şu şekilde planlanmalıdır.
Birinci dokuz yıllık dönem 2026–2035 yıllarını kapsayan “Milli Birlik, Devlet kapasitesinde Stratejik Dönüşüm ve Kalkınma Hamlesi Dönemi” dir.
Bu dönem, demokratik hukuk devleti ilkelerinin güçlendiği, Türkiye’nin sosyo-ekonomik sorunlarının çözüldüğü, sürdürülebilir bir ekonomik büyüme ile sosyal gelişmenin sağlandığı, milli bütünleşme ve kaynaşmanın tesis edildiği bir dönem olacaktır. Türkiye tüm vatandaşları ile “birlikte yaşama arzusunu” güçlendirerek bütün enerjisini Türkiye’nin kalkınmasına yöneltme başarısını bu dönemde gösterecektir. Bu dönem, ülkemizin milletler camiasında saygınlığı artarken toplumdaki yozlaşmanın önüne geçilerek ahlaki ve iktisadi temelde kalkınma hamleleriyle Türkiye sıçrama yapacaktır.
İkinci dönem 2036–2044 yıllarını kapsayan “Merkez Ülke Türkiye Dönemi”dir.
Bu dönem ekonomik ve sosyal kalkınmasında hamle yapmış, küresel rekabette ön almış, hem doğuya hem batıya bakan Selçuklu kartalı anlayışında kutupbaşı olmuş bir Türkiye dönemi olacaktır. Türkiye hem doğu ve batı arasında merkezi güç, hem de tüm jeopolitik ve ekonomik kuşakların merkezinde yer alan bir “merkez ülke” olacaktır.
Üçüncü dönem 2045–2053 yıllarını kapsayan, “Küresel Liderlik ve Medeniyet İnşa Dönemi” olacaktır.
2053 yılını hedefleyen uzun vadeli stratejimizin temel amacı; ülkemizin, çağdaş dünyayı Türkçe algılama ve değerlendirme yeteneğine sahip, küresel düzeyde etkili ve ekonomide dünyanın ilk sıralarında yer alan ülkelerinden biri olan “lider ülke” konumuna yükseltilmesidir. Böylesi bir Türkiye adalet ve ahlak temelinde insanlığın huzurunu sağlamaya dönük medeniyet telakkisini hayata geçirme imkanı da bulacaktır.
Bu stratejik uzun vadeli hedeflerle birlikte güncel meselelere yönelik çalışmalar yapıyor, projeler geliştiriyoruz.
Geleceğin Türkiye’sini inşa ediyoruz.
2071 yılında cihan ve uzay hakimiyeti ülkümüzü inşallah gerçekleştireceğiz.
Ekonomisiyle, güvenliğiyle, göç ve sosyal politikalarıyla; Türk kuşağı stratejisiyle, Türkiye merkezli bir medeniyet anlayışıyla insanlığın en çok ihtiyaç duyduğu huzuru hem içeride hem de dışarıda tesis etmeye çalışıyoruz.
Önümüzdeki dönemde Türk ve Türkiye Yüzyılı’nı inşa etmek için kararlılıkla çalışacak milli birlikle gücümüze güç katacağız. Türkiye, bir kutup başı gibi sivrilirken küresel sistemde belirleyici bir aktör haline gelecektir.
Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi’nin kurumsal yapısını güçlendirmek, devlete kattığı değeri daha ileri taşımak zorundayız. Bu çerçevede demokratik hukuk devleti güçlendirilmeli, devlet ve toplum düzenini Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi’yle bütünüyle uyumlu hale getirecek yasal düzenlemeler yapılmalıdır. Ekonomik ve sosyal politikalar dar gelirli vatandaşlarımızı koruyacak şekilde belirlenmeli ve uygulanmalıdır. Devlete yuvalanarak varlığımızı ve birliğimizi riske atan, hala aktif olan kripto damar FETÖ ile benzeri her türlü yapının kararlılıkla üzerine gidilmelidir.
İhanetlere karşı dikkatli olmalı, zalimlere karşı mazlumların safında buluşmalı, yanlışa karşı doğrunun şemsiyesi altında toplanmalıyız.
Amacımız; refahı artıran, ahlak ve istikrar temelli, katılımcı ve kapsayıcı bir kalkınma modelini hayata geçirmektir. Zira Türk siyasetinin bir ahlak reformuna, yeni bir kalkınma hamlesine, istikametini milletimizin hedef ve özlemlerinden alan muhtevalı bir toparlanmaya ihtiyacı vardır.

Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi; asırlara sari Türk devlet geleneğinin fikri ve vicdani unsurlarını taşıyan; çağdaş gelişmelerle bunları buluşturan aklın siyasetteki tezahürüdür.
Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi 57 yıllık mazisi, siyasi ve fikri mücadelesiyle imanın, inancın ve milliyetçi iradenin muteber burcudur. Üç hilal, sadece bugünün değil, yarınların da partisi, geçmişle geleceği birbirine bağlayan fazilet, feraset ve fikir köprüsü, milli umutların düşmeyecek sancağıdır.
57 yılda Partimiz büyüyerek, daha güçlenerek emin ve ehil ellerde geleceğe taşınmaktadır. Türk siyasetinde müstesna bir yere sahip olan Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, köklü bir siyasi gelenekle birlikte demokrasinin, milli birliğin ve toplumsal uzlaşmanın temsilcisi ve temincisi olmuştur.
Demokratik siyasi kültürü, uzlaşma ve sorumluluk ahlakını önde tutan bir siyaset ve yönetim anlayışının yerleşmesinde öncü rol oynamıştır. Şartlara göre şekil alan değil, ilkelere göre yön tayin eden bir anlayışa sahiptir. Partimizin siyasal duruşunun merkezinde milli birlik ve beraberlik yer almaktadır.
Bu yönüyle 57 yıldır, milli ve manevi değerlerin tamamını esas alarak siyasal ve toplumsal merkezin temsilcisi olmuş, ortak değerlerin bütünleştiriciliğine odaklanmıştır.
Türk milletine millî, manevî ve insanî açılardan seslenen; sevgiyi, adaleti, özgürlüğü, barışı ve güven içinde gelişimi amaçlayan Türk Milliyetçiliği anlayışı sorunlara bakışımızın ve çözüm önerilerimizin temelini oluşturmaktadır.
Partimiz temel görüş ve ilkelerine bağlı kalarak, dünyadaki değişimi ve gelişimi doğru okuyan, Türk milletinin beklentilerini en üst seviyede karşılamak için program, hedef, politika ve projelerini, milletimizin ve insanlığın yararını gözeterek sürekli geliştiren dinamik bir partidir.
Milliyetçilik anlayışımız, zamanlar üstü bir muhtevaya sahip olmasının yanı sıra çağın ruhunu da kavramaktadır. Tam bağımsız ve Lider Ülke Türkiye’nin tarih sahnesinde yerini alması için üzerimize ne düşüyorsa yapmanın azmindeyiz.
Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, “devlet ebed müddet, millet ebed müddet” felsefesinin, tarihin derinlerinden duyulan Kızılelma çağrısının, Turan ülküsünün ve İ’la-yı Kelimetullah davasının teslim alınamaz siyasi burcudur.
Refah ve mutluluk, hak ve adalet, güçlü bir demokrasi, huzur içinde bir hayat, ahlaklı bir kalkınma için Türk milletinin ümididir. Şartlar ne olursa olsun bu güne kadar milli birlik ve dayanışma ruhumuzu zayıflatmak, bin yıllık kardeşlik hukukumuzu zaafa düşürmek için oyun içinde oyun kuranlara fırsat vermedik, göz açtırmadık.
Nerede bir zulüm varsa, hangi coğrafyada haksızlık yaşanmışsa, tarafımızı ve tercihimizi insanlıktan yana belirledik, demokrasi düşmanlarına karşı milli iradeden yana tavır aldık. Çünkü biz politikalarının merkezine insanı koyan, demokrasi ile milliyetçiliği ikiz kardeş kabul eden Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi’yiz.
İnancımız odur ki; Cumhuriyetimizin yeni yüzyılında, Türk ve Türkiye Yüzyılı, millet sevdalısı Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi ve Cumhur İttifakı eliyle adım adım inşa ve ihya edilecek, lider ülke Türkiye ülkümüz gerçekleşecektir.
Bu doğrultuda, azimle, inançla, gayretle çalışıyoruz. Kem sözlere itibar etmiyoruz. Partimizi ve ülkemizi kötü gösterme yarışında olanlara dönüp bakmıyoruz.
Terörsüz Türkiye hedefini gerçekleştirmeye odaklanırken, milletimizin haklı taleplerini karşılamak ve toplumsal meselelere çözüm üretmek için çalışmayı ihmal etmiyoruz. Kim ne yaparsa yapsın tahriklere kapılmayacak, Türkiye ve Türk milleti için çalışmaya devam edeceğiz.

We hereby draw attention once again that solution models that have been tried and exhausted over decades are a thing of the past. As the homeland and guarantor state, we reiterate that a fair, comprehensive and sustainable solution to the Cyprus issue can be reached on the basis of the realities on the Island, the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot people. President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş: We must be able to introduce our children to our own civilization values
According to the statement made by the Diyanet, Arpaguş spoke at the Childhood Quran Teaching Workshop themed “Educational Activities for Children in Quran Courses: Evaluation and Future Perspective” organized by the General Directorate of Educational Services.
Stating that early childhood is the most critical phase in which a person’s identity, personality and character are shaped, Arpaguş said, “In this respect, we see Quran courses for ages 4-6 as not only a teaching process in which the skill of reading the Quran is acquired, but also as a strategic education area that aims to protect the child’s nature, support his spiritual and moral development, and contribute to the construction of a solid identity and personality.” made his assessment.
Drawing attention to the importance and sensitivity of childhood, Arpaguş continued as follows:
“We should measure our success in teaching the Quran not by how much students memorize, but by their ability to establish a relationship of love and trust with the Quran that will last a lifetime. What is more important than a child of four or five years old knowing all the letters is that he comes running to the Quran lesson. What is more valuable than memorizing long surahs for a child at that age is that he can learn the love of Allah in a compassion-centered way. Therefore, we measure our success criteria not only on the amount of memorization, recognition of letters or the level of applying the rules of tajwid, but also on participation in the lesson, desire to learn, social “We have to read through multidimensional indicators such as interaction and positive attitudes towards the Quran.”
Arpaguş stated that they aim to develop a Quran education model that brings together knowledge and wisdom and transforms it into morality, and said, “In order to bring our children together with our own civilization values, we have to develop a strong pedagogical approach centered on wisdom, as in the Islamic education tradition. When we can do this, we will achieve great success in Quran education and we will have come a long way towards raising faithful, knowledgeable, moral and personality generations.” he said.
Emphasizing that they are trying to make the most of the realities revealed by science and the possibilities and opportunities of the age in terms of preparing children for the future in the best possible way, Arpaguş said, “We are constantly trying to update our educational programs and course materials with the contributions of child psychologists, child development experts, pedagogues, academics and educators in the field.
