According to Article 138 of our Constitution, the courts make judgments on behalf of the Turkish nation.

“NO ONE CAN ORDER THE COURTS”

During the trial process, no one can give suggestions, instructions or orders to the courts. This needs to be underlined. According to the procedure, the time when each defendant will defend is determined by the court panel. The defendant Ekrem İmamoğlu will also make his defense on the day determined by the court. Apart from that, lawyers can take the floor. They may first give the floor to the parties regarding the discussions. But this is definitely not the way to make a greeting speech or welcome those who come here. This does not suit. It does not suit our judgment. It does not suit the order of the court. The authority to decide on the order of the court belongs to the chairman of the committee, the president of the court. No court is affected by this either. It is not affected by rhetoric, nor is it affected by political conversations. “The court will use its conscience and decide based on the evidence in the file,” he said.
