Minister Fidan’s call for negotiations: Iran’s peace is important to us
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan said, “We hope that Iran’s internal issues will be resolved peacefully by the Iranian people, without external intervention.” he said. Fidan spoke at the joint press conference held after his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakchi in Istanbul.
Stating that he discussed regional and bilateral issues in detail during the meeting, he said, “The stability and security of our region is among the main priorities of our foreign policy. We always argue that we must produce solutions to regional problems with the understanding of regional ownership.” he said.
“We are trying to carry out our work in the Middle East, the Balkans and the South Caucasus entirely on this principle.” Fidan emphasized that in this context, the peace and prosperity of Türkiye’s neighbor Iran is of great importance for Türkiye and the region.
Stating that the developments in Iran are closely followed, Fidan said, “I would like to reiterate that we are deeply saddened by the deaths that occurred in the protests and offer our condolences to the Iranian people. It is pleasing that the events have calmed down to a large extent. We hope that the tranquility will be permanent. We hope that Iran’s internal issues will be resolved peacefully by the Iranian people without external intervention.” he said.
Fidan, on the other hand, emphasized that the PKK terrorist organization is trying to benefit from the latest developments and noted that this shows that this is dangerous not only for Türkiye but also for Iran.
Reminding that there is a need for a joint fight against the terrorist organization PKK, Fidan emphasized that the resumption of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the USA on a constructive basis is of vital importance in reducing regional tension.
Fidan said, “The negotiations will also pave the way for the removal of sanctions against Iran and the integration of Iran with the international economic system. These steps will provide significant gains to all parties. At this point, relations need to be normalized on the basis of a new agreement. We have conveyed to all our interlocutors, especially our President, that we are against a military intervention against Iran at every opportunity.” he said.

Reminding that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkiyan today, Fidan said, “We repeat here. We are against resorting to military options to solve the problems. We do not think that this will be of much use. We advocate negotiation and diplomacy. What happened in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Gaza remains fresh in our memory. While we are trying to heal the wounds of the past, opening another wound in our region will not benefit anyone.” he said.
Pointing out that the countries in the region want peace, stability and peace, Fidan stated that in this context, the parties were invited to the negotiation table.
Fidan said, “We consider that addressing the problems separately when the negotiation table is established will make it easier to reach a solution.” he said.
“ISRAEL MUST END ITS DESTABILIZATION POLICIES IN THE REGION”
Stating that he reiterated to his counterpart Erakçi during the meeting that Türkiye is ready to provide all kinds of support to solve the problems through peaceful means, Fidan said:
“On the other hand, we see that Israel is trying to persuade the USA to launch a military attack on Iran. These efforts of Israel have the potential to cause great harm to the fragile stability of our region. We hope that the US administration will act with common sense and not allow this to happen. Israel must put an end to its destabilization policies in the region.”

LATEST ISSUES RELATED TO GAZA
Fidan stated that the latest issues regarding Gaza were also discussed during the meeting and said, “The urgent issue before us today is to ensure that the suffering of our brothers in Gaza is alleviated and that they look to the future with hope. The second phase of the Gaza Peace Plan has begun. Our country has made a significant contribution to the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza. We will continue to take an active part in the next process.” he said.
Reminding that Türkiye takes part in the Peace Board mechanisms, Fidan said:
“I will also participate in the work of the Gaza Executive Board to support the work of the National Committee for the Management of Gaza and the high representative. Our main goals in Gaza are clear. Gaza should be governed by Gazans. The borders of Gaza should not be changed. Reconstruction in Gaza should be carried out for the people of Gaza, based on the needs and future of the people of Gaza. As Türkiye, we take responsibility and initiative on the basis of these principles.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakchi stated that he had previously stated that his country was ready for nuclear negotiations with the USA, but that the negotiations would not start while the threats continued.
Erakçi spoke at the joint press conference held after his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan in Istanbul.
Thanking Foreign Minister Fidan for his hospitality at the beginning of his speech, Erakçi stated that they had productive meetings with his Turkish counterpart on bilateral, regional and international issues.
Stating that the relations between Iran and Türkiye have always been brotherly and friendly, Erakçi said, “Turkish authorities have always been with us, especially during the period of Israeli attacks and the recent terrorist incidents carried out by external actors in January. For this reason, I thank the Turkish state and government.” he said.
Stating that Israel is trying to start a war in the region and continues its expansionism in the region, Erakçi emphasized that Tel Aviv continues these actions with the support of the USA and some European countries and that it is important for the countries in the region to be careful about this.
Stating that Iran stands against any action that would disrupt stability and peace in the region, the Iranian Minister said that they have the same ideas with Turkey about the interests of the region and that they welcome any initiative that would frustrate Israel’s plans.
Regarding US President Donald Trump’s calls for negotiations, Erakchi said, “The USA has not shown any goodwill in the negotiations, but despite this, Iran is in favor of a logical and fair negotiation process. Iran is ready for negotiations if they are based on mutual interest, respect and trust. Iran is determined to protect itself, its stability and the stability of the region, and will not bow to external pressures.” he said.
Stating that during the meeting with Foreign Minister Fidan, they also discussed the issues of Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, where Israel continues the genocide, Erakçi stated that they want the territorial integrity of Syria to be preserved and Israel’s occupation to end.
“We are against tyranny in Iraq that would violate the sovereignty of this country.” Erakçi stated that national dialogue should be established among all groups regarding Lebanon and that they respect the decision that will emerge as a result of the dialogue in Lebanon.
“TURKEY SPENT MANY EFFORTS TO STOP GENOCIDE IN GAZA”
Emphasizing the importance of stopping Israel’s genocide against the Palestinians and delivering humanitarian aid, the Iranian Minister said, “Turkey made a lot of effort and effort to stop the genocide in Gaza. We thank President Erdoğan and Fidan, they always showed a constructive attitude.” he said.
Erakçi stated that they support Türkiye’s peace and stability efforts and active participation in the region and that they are grateful to the Turkish authorities for this.
Regarding the possible military attack of the USA, Erakçi said:
“They could not achieve their goals with the military attack in June. They were defeated in that war. Once again, they started making threats, saying they want negotiations. If there is an attack, they will face the same result again. The US government requested negotiations through different intermediaries. Iran wants to negotiate, we have reported before, but negotiations do not start with threats, they must first put threats aside.
Iran is more militarily prepared for any attack than it was for the war in June. If there is an attack on our country, we will respond very strongly. The USA’s direct entry into the war will change the situation. There is a possibility that a bilateral war will go beyond its limits. I hope they act within reason and logic as soon as possible. “I hope those who want to drag the region into war cannot achieve their goals.”
Erakchi stated that in possible negotiations, the framework will only be about the nuclear issue and that issues such as missile capacity will not be the subject of negotiation, and said, “Iran’s defense systems will not be the subject of negotiation in any way. No country subjects its defense to negotiation. We will protect and further strengthen our defense capabilities for our country.” made his assessment.
Stating that they are in constant consultation with Turkey, Erakçi said, “We met with Foreign Minister Fidan almost every day last week. We highly value the ideas and opinions of our friends in Türkiye and appreciate their efforts to find a solution. Turkey, as our neighbor, is always a priority for us.” he said.

‘Terror-free Türkiye’ message from Bahçeli: The ideal of internal peace is becoming reality
MHP leader Bahçeli published a message on the 29th anniversary of the death of his party’s Founding Chairman Alparslan Türkeş.
Commemorating the deceased with mercy and respect, Bahçeli stated that Türkeş was a great idea, cause and statesman who institutionalized the idea of Turkish nationalism and brought it to the masses, turned it into a political project and spread it to the four corners of the country and even beyond the borders.
Stating that the idealist breakthrough he opened gathered national excitement and desires in the same consciousness, Bahçeli said:
“Arguing that it is necessary to unite around a national view in order to protect and strengthen the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish nation and to bring them to the level they deserve in the world, Türkeş said that the salvation of the Turkish nation from all its problems is possible with total development. The late Mr. Türkeş is a man of struggle who left deep traces in the Turkish state and political life. He courageously defended his principles and ideals in stormy years, difficult conditions and troubled periods, and did not compromise his stance and intellectual consistency. He was not deceived by any promise of benefit, “He did not turn away from his path, he was not one of those who sold, was not one of those who were afraid, and was not one of those who abandoned.”
– “He devoted his life to his country, nation and ideals”
Bahçeli stated that the late Türkeş devoted his mortal life to his country, nation and ideals, and that he closely witnessed and was involved in the history of Turkish nationalism, which was full of suffering and struggle.
Emphasizing that he gave a different meaning to this struggle with his presence, Bahçeli pointed out that Türkeş is one of the most important figures in the honorable history of the Turkish nationalism cause that extends to the present day.
Emphasizing that Türkeş, inspired by history, set his eyes on the horizon of the future, Bahçeli said, “He said, ‘I embraced the cause I was entrusted with. I walk without looking back, without hesitation, without paying attention to anything.’ With his words, he showed his determination to pass on the sacred trust of the great Turkish nation, which is carried from hand to hand, from generation to generation.” he said.
– “He did not show any weakness in the face of threats and dangers.”
MHP Chairman Bahçeli emphasized that the late Türkeş described Turkish nationalism as the ideal of “loving the Turkish nation and elevating it” and that he spent his life serving this purpose.
“With his consistent life style and uncompromising stance, he did not tarnish the honor of our cause and did not show weakness in the face of threats and dangers.” Using the expression, Bahçeli underlined that the late Türkeş, a person of great struggle, deep heart and ideal, devoted his life to his sacred cause.
Bahçeli said:
“He did not remain silent in the face of injustice, he planned the great Turkey of the future and talked about it tirelessly. Fortunately, the Nationalist Movement Party has become a political school and school that trains ideas, visions and cadres that can respond to every problem of our country. Our ideas and political struggle have found a response in our beloved nation and in the oppressed hearts. The torch lit by the late Mr. Türkeş will not be extinguished, and his timeless call will never be erased. With glory, The Nationalist Movement Party, which has left 57 years behind with honor, is stronger and more developed today than it was yesterday. The knowledge and experiences we have gained since the establishment of our party in 1969 have become the good news of the construction and revival of the Turkish and Turkish Century. The late Türkeş expressed the cause of Turkish nationalism as ‘the cause of creating a future worthy of the great and glorious past of the Turkish nation’, combining ‘Turkish pride and consciousness with Islamic morality and virtue’. It is based on a melting spiritual foundation.
Türkeş determined the basic philosophy of the Nationalist Movement as ‘love for humanity’ and strengthened the basis of our national unity and solidarity by arguing that ‘true nationalism is to love every person who makes up the nation equally, without any discrimination’. Emphasizing that the greatest strength of the Turkish nation is the unity and solidarity it has shown throughout history, our Prophet said, ‘There is mercy in unity, there is torment in separation.’ He repeated his words frequently. According to him, ‘One of the blessed sources of power of the Turkish nation is the ideal of unity, solidarity and internal peace.’ His phrase ‘the ideal of internal peace’ is an age-old antidote against all kinds of strife, division and separation movements in Türkiye. The vision of Türkiye Without Terrorism, which has gained great social acceptance today, is the realization of the ‘ideal of internal peace’. To truly commemorate Türkeş, to remember his memory, is to understand him correctly, to fully protect his ideals and ideas, and to protect his works and legacy with a high consciousness. “The Nationalist Movement Party and the Ülkü Ocakları, the two sacred trusts of the late Mr. Türkeş, are today the assurance of our nation’s future and independence in safe and competent hands.”
Emphasizing that the nationalist idealist movement will continue to walk on its path with the same principles, Bahçeli said, “In line with the vision of our leader, as the Nationalist Movement Party and the People’s Alliance, we strive to achieve our national aspirations and goals with determined steps, and to build Türkiye, a leading country and superpower in the Turkish and Turkish Century.” he said.

Director of Communications Duran: Türkiye is the key to peace
Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran, in his statement on his social media account, said, “Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s recent statements regarding regional and global developments clearly declare that it is a historical responsibility for us to unite around unity, brotherhood and common values. If our country is internationally referred to as ‘Safe Harbor Turkey’, this is the result of our stance that rejects distinctions of race, sect, religion and language and prioritizes the common denominator of humanity. Turkey is a country of hatred.” And instead of the language of conflict, we continue to defend the universal language of peace, justice and mercy. In this context, our country continues to be the key to peace in the midst of chaos and war-mongering. As our President stated, our country stands out with its common-sense and principled policies that read the regional and global developments correctly, as it did yesterday. “Based on our conscientious stance, we will continue to stand by the oppressed wherever there is and to work with all our means for peace and stability,” he said.

The Gendarmerie criminal report prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office within the scope of the investigation into the C-130 type Turkish military cargo plane that crashed on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border, found that there was no trace of any external intervention or explosives on the plane.

In the investigation, where international procedures were implemented to collect evidence at the accident scene, examine the wreckage and take witness statements, full cooperation with Georgia was carried out within the framework of bilateral agreements, ensuring that the evidence was brought to Türkiye without being obscured.
The examinations carried out by the Forensic Medicine Institute on the bodies of the martyrs, who were brought from Tbilisi to Ankara Mürted Airport by the “A400M” type aircraft belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), were completed and added to the file.
GENDARMERIE REPORT IN INVESTIGATION FILE
The criminal report of the Gendarmerie General Command, which was included in the investigation file, included the results of the first technical examinations carried out on the wreckage of the plane.
In the report, “There was no trace of shrapnel caused by any ammunition that would explode near the aircraft, nor was there any trace of damage caused by the ammunition hitting. No trace of explosion that would occur as a result of the explosion of the improvised explosive device, or any explosive device or the elements of this device was found.” statements were included.
The report stated that no fire-starting petroleum derivatives or fire accelerating substances were found, and that no suspicious chemical substances were found as a result of the “element analysis” made in the wreckage of the plane.
IT IS BEING INVESTIGATED WHY THE PLANE CRASHED
On the other hand, the Air Forces Command Evaluation and Inspection Directorate’s investigations into why the plane crashed continue.
In the technical studies carried out simultaneously in Georgia and Türkiye, the findings and data obtained by the expert units of TÜBİTAK, TUSAŞ, MKE and the Air Forces Command are meticulously analyzed.
It was learned that following this process carried out at international standards, first the preliminary accident report and then the final report will be prepared.
