AFAD and TSK-DAK teams, which participated in search and rescue efforts after the earthquakes on June 24, in which more than 4,500 people lost their lives in Venezuela, landed at Mürted Airport yesterday with the A400M cargo plane belonging to the Ministry of National Defense (MSB). On the plane reaching Ankara; In addition to AFAD personnel, 22 personnel from the Turkish Armed Forces Humanitarian Aid Brigade Command International Search and Rescue Team, 4 search and rescue dogs and fully equipped search and rescue vehicles were present.

BEHIND THE RADAR DEVICE HAS BEEN SHARED
Infantry Major Yener Çamurlu, who has been on duty for two weeks during the earthquake in Venezuela, said, “Our own special equipment and our own personnel were very valuable in this context. We did very good work there. At the same time, we supported not only our own, but also other world search and rescue teams with our own local and national behind-the-wall radars. They were quite lagging behind in this regard, so we supported them a lot.”

Explaining that 4 dogs trained in search and rescue activities were traveling with them, in addition to their teammates, Çamurlu reminded that they were presented with a medal of heroism in Venezuela. Çamurlu said, “We liked it very much that they honored us in this way. They even gave it to our dogs.” Infantry Senior Sergeant Oktay Türkay also stated that they continued their search and rescue efforts with their team members in 12-hour shifts in Venezuela and said, “The people of Venezuela gave us the nickname ‘Turks who never get tired’ because of these search and rescue efforts. This made us proud.”

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi met with the families of martyrs, veterans and members of the police force at the program held at the Gölbaşı Police Special Operations Directorate, which was treacherously bombed by FETO on the night of the coup and where 44 police officers were martyred, on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Turgut Aslan, the former Head of the Counterterrorism Department and Chief Advisor to the President, a July 15 veteran who was taken hostage by the militants of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization and executed, but clung to life, also attended the commemoration program in Gölbaşı. In his speech at the commemoration program, Minister Çiftçi said that the struggle on July 15 was one of the most important turning points in Türkiye’s recent history. Stating that the Police Special Operations Directorate paid one of the heaviest prices in the coup attempt, Çiftçi stated that Gölbaşı is in the memory of the nation as a symbol of courage and resistance, and emphasized that the state is on the alert against all kinds of threats.

‘TILL IT DRINS OUT’
Police Chief Ali Fidan also made a speech at the commemoration program at the Police Special Operations Directorate. Stating that they, as the Police Department, continue their fight against FETO with determination, Fidan said, “We will continue our fight uncompromisingly until we eradicate this treacherous focus of evil.” Reminding that the Police Special Operations Directorate was subjected to one of the heaviest attacks by the treacherous coup plotters on the night of July 15, Fidan said that 44 special operations police officers were martyred in Gölbaşı and 7 police officers in the Aviation Department were martyred. Stating that a total of 65 members of the Police Department were martyred during the coup attempt, Fidan said, “I wish God’s mercy to our martyrs. May their souls rest in peace, their place in heaven, and their ranks be high. I wish our heroic veterans health, well-being and a good life.”

‘WE REMEMBER WITH GRATITUDE’
In his post on his social media account regarding the events held, Minister Çiftçi said, “The bloody FETO, which pointed our nation’s weapons at our nation, bombed our Veteran Parliament, was defeated by the determined leadership of our esteemed President, the courage of our security forces and the steel will of our nation. We commemorate our martyrs with mercy and our heroic veterans with gratitude. We have not forgotten. We will not let them forget. The will is ours, the victory is ours.” – –

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account about the simultaneous reading of sela in mosques across the country on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. In his post on his NSosyal account, Erdoğan said, “These greetings are the symbol of once again declaring to the world that no power can stand against this nation whose chest is full of faith. May the souls of all our martyrs rest in peace.” In his post, Erdoğan also included an image of the National Anthem with the lines “These calls to prayer, whose martyrdom is the foundation of religion, my groaning above my eternal homeland…” and a Turkish flag on the mosque minaret.

‘I CONGRATULATE’
In his message on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, President Erdoğan said, “We wrote a magnificent epic together as a nation on the night of July 15, 10 years ago. Today, I would like to once again convey my congratulations and thanks to every member of my beloved nation, including women, men, young and old, who took to the streets with flags in their hands, prayers on their tongues, and love for Turkey in their hearts, narrowing down the squares for the coup plotters. “I would like to express my gratitude to all my brothers in different countries of the world who raised their hands to the sky and wet their prayer rugs with tears to say ‘Do not bring harm to Türkiye’. Our struggle will continue until FETO is completely eliminated and this treason network, which disguises itself in all its forms, is eradicated,” he said.

The procedures at the police station for 24 suspects detained within the scope of the FETO investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office have been completed.

The suspects were taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. After the statements at the prosecutor’s office, 16 suspects who were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace were arrested, and judicial control provisions were applied to 6 suspects.

Procedures for other suspects are ongoing.

INVESTIGATION

In the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, in line with the “Security Private Analysis Report (EMAR)” records on the SD card obtained from the secret witness code-named “Garson”, 25 suspects were identified who had contacts with people within the secret structures of the organization, had account registrations at Bank Asya, had an unusual increase in account movements on suspicious dates, had payphone/consecutive call records, and were considered to be operating at a responsible level within the security secret structure.

In this context, 24 suspects were detained in the simultaneous operation organized in 8 provinces centered in Istanbul to capture 25 suspects, 8 of whom were active public officials, 11 of whom were private sector employees and 6 of whom did not have an active SSI record. It was reported that efforts to capture the fugitive suspect were continuing.

Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, an operation was carried out at 30 different addresses in 10 provinces, centered in Ankara, by the Ankara Provincial Police Department’s Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams. A detention order was issued for 29 suspects who were found to have participated in the crime of “premeditated murder” within the scope of FETO activities regarding the accident/destruction of the helicopter carrying the late Grand Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and his friends. 27 suspects were detained during the operation.

19 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

27 suspects who were taken into custody were present at the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office after their procedures. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office referred all the suspects to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest. As a result of the evaluation made by the judgeship, 19 out of 27 suspects were arrested, and it was decided to impose judicial control measures on 8 suspects.

THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES IN MULTIPLE WAYS

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the investigation into the accident/destruction of the helicopter in which Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and his companions lost their lives continues in a multifaceted and meticulous manner.

AKUT Former President Nasuh Mahruki’s post on his X account caused public outrage. Mahruki made the scandalous statement that “July 15 was a coup attempt that was noticed in advance, but was not deliberately prevented and allowed to take place in a controlled manner, seeing it as an opportunity for regime change.” An investigation was officially launched against Nasuh Mahruki by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and a detention order was issued.

EMPHASIS ON “BEYOND THE LIMITS OF CRITICISM” IN THE REFERRAL
In the referral letter of the prosecutor’s office; It was clearly stated that Mahruki targeted the Turkish nation, our martyrs who sacrificed their lives and our heroic security forces. In the dispatch article, it was emphasized that Mahruki described the July 15 treacherous coup attempt, which targeted the Turkish nation and martyred our citizens and security forces, as theater, and that the tweet was beyond the limits of criticism. It was also stated that Mahruki had more than 571 thousand followers and that the provocative post in question received more than 76 thousand views in a short time, creating a clear and present danger and outrage in society.

ARRESTED
Mahruki, who was taken into custody, was referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest after his statement at the prosecutor’s office. Mahruki was arrested and sent to prison by the court on the charge of ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility’.
