AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a statement after the MKYK meeting
“PROCESS REPORTS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED”
Of course, one of the most important developments as we come to the end of the year is that our commission in the Parliament has completed a very important stage in its work within the framework of Türkiye Without Terrorism. At this point today, reports have been written and reports prepared by political parties have been submitted.
In this context, we would like to thank our Parliament Speaker Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş, who personally chaired this commission and managed the entire process with great common sense, and all our MP friends in the commission who were here and served and matured this process with all their contributions, evaluations and criticisms.
Indeed, a study has been conducted that reveals Türkiye’s democratic background and the Supreme Assembly’s high acumen on Türkiye’s issues. Of course, there were also criticisms towards this commission. If these do not contain some unfounded accusations or insults, we of course take them into consideration.
Undoubtedly, there are differences between the reports of the parties. Of course, there may be contradictions. However, this is the essence of Parliament’s work. Here, an attempt will be made to draw a conclusion from a number of different thoughts through a dialectical process.
As members of the People’s Alliance, the principles set forth in the reports given by both us and the Nationalist Movement Party are common and similar. There is a high degree of agreement in approaches and assessments. This, on the part of the People’s Alliance, expresses a will pursued in order to bring Türkiye to terror-free days and, accordingly, to bring our region to a terror-free environment, in order to solve such a big issue.
The road map has worked so far. Of course, from time to time, as I mentioned before, sometimes you travel one meter in a week; You move on to the next week, you go ten kilometers in one week. These works do not have a rhythm that can be mathematically named in advance. What is important is that the wheel turns and the processes work.
Of course, the most important issue here is to emphasize once again that terrorism-free Türkiye and terrorism-free region represent an inseparable unity.
Türkiye has fought against terrorism for many years and paid a high price for terrorism. However, with the great sacrifices of our martyrs, may God have mercy on them all, and with the unique sacrifices of our veterans, we pay our respects to them; Terrorism has been prevented from reaching its goal.
“THERE IS NOT A RACE FIGHT, AN ETHNIC FIGHT OR A Sectarian FIGHT IN Türkiye”
In studies on such events in other parts of the world, various evaluations have been made based on ethnic fights, sectarian fights or race fights. However, there has been no racial conflict, ethnic conflict or sectarian conflict in Türkiye. On the contrary, the eternal brotherhood of Turks and Kurds has been haunted by terror.
Terrorism’s moves to destroy the eternal brotherhood of Turks and Kurds and to create discord among our nation have always been foiled in two ways. Firstly, terrorism has been prevented from achieving these goals with the unique sacrifices and astute stance of our security forces. The second thing happened thanks to the unique foresight and foresight of our nation.
As I have always stated, our citizens have never deviated from the awareness that, regardless of their names, our surname is the Republic of Türkiye. These issues have been approached with the foresight and foresight of the nation. Therefore, terrorist organizations and terrorism are against the eternal brotherhood of Turks and Kurds; Their attacks on the eternal brotherhood of Alevi and Sunni have always been prevented with this insight.
As the AK Party, we expressed these views very clearly in the report we submitted to our Parliament and commission. Likewise, our friends have clearly demonstrated this in the speeches made on the occasion of this budget.
In the coming period, there are caves that have been emptied so far, there are weapons left at a symbolic level. Steps to be taken in the coming period regarding disarmament and burning of weapons; It will enable the emergence of a number of reports and observations in which the dissolution process of the terrorist organization can be actually seen, detected and confirmed. This will make many issues extremely easier.
“THE KEY POINT IS THAT THE ISSUE OF TERMINATION HAS BECOME AN ACTUAL SITUATION FROM BEING RHETORICAL”
This will also play a facilitating role in the transformation of the recommendations and suggestions emerging from this commission into the legal process in the Parliament. Therefore, the key point here is that the issue of termination ceases to be rhetoric and becomes an actual situation; It is the continuation of the process that we describe as laying down arms, burning weapons and surrendering weapons.
Of course, this process is closely related to what we call the “terrorism-free zone” in an integrated manner. PKK terrorist organization; The main goal is to dissolve the SDF with all its branches and extensions, that is, the SDF in Syria and its ideological and financial illegal structures in Europe.
Terrorism has created a stress on our democracy over the years and a high tension on our rule of law. With terrorism off the agenda, it will be possible to address many issues that are discussed at the legal or political level today, in a clearer and calmer manner, free from this stress and high tension.
Many agenda items related to democratization are discussed here. We evaluated this democratization within the legitimate area. This has always been our perspective. We did not treat this as a narrow or issue-specific perspective; We’ve always found this reductive.
On the contrary, with a deductive approach, it will enable Türkiye to meet its political needs, economic needs and its role in the protection of its great national interests in the world system in the coming years; We considered it as a perspective that will enable us to meet the needs for the peace and prosperity of our nation. We also mentioned this in our report.
Therefore, around the principle of one homeland, one nation, one state, one flag; We will walk towards the future within the framework of the principles of brotherhood and citizenship, protecting our eternal brotherhood and eternal unity.
Of course, there are criticisms and discussions between political parties regarding these issues, I exclude accusations and insults, as I mentioned. Everyone’s perspective is different. We need to act with a maturity that can bring them together at one point.

Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan made new statements regarding the process after the criminal complaint.
Özarslan’s statements are as follows:
As you can see, we are on our mission. We will continue to serve the public. While we were aiming to raise our services to higher levels, some people started putting incredible pressure and mobbing on us. The text messages I had with the Chairman two days ago are blasphemous and insulting to my family. In such an environment, we announced that we would no longer be in the CHP and that we were resigning. We will continue to serve our people with the motto of public service. We will continue our journey by protecting the rights of all voters who voted for us on March 31.
Why did Özgür Özel swear at Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan? | Video
I filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor’s office against CHP Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel. Other members of my family also wanted to be present. We are the people of the great Turkish nation, we do not speak disrespectfully to anyone. It saddens us all that a party founded by Ataturk has fallen into such a situation.
OUR CASE IS ONE CASE
Let the country be in unity and solidarity from now on. Both our esteemed president, Mr. Erdoğan, and our wise leader, Dr. Devlet Bahçeli has started this work. This study should not be viewed as partisan. They welcome everyone with open arms. We will continue our services in this call for unity and solidarity. We will continue to support our CHP brothers without any discrimination. Our cause is only one and that is the cause of humanity.

Confusion in CHP – Last Minute News
The bill, prepared by CHP Deputy Tuncay Özkan and submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly with the seal of approval by the CHP Group Presidency, caused great surprise. It was seen that the bill, which was stated to be prepared for the protection of children and young people in digital media, was diametrically opposed to the policies that the party has defended to date. The fact that the CHP group presented the issues that it had described as ‘censorship’ and criticized the government for years as legislative proposals was another manifestation of the inconsistency within the party. In the bill in the Digital Mediums Commission; It was requested that all digital content be categorized as +6, +12, +16, +18, and age appropriateness and time limit mechanisms be put into effect. In this regard, it is recommended that children under the age of 16 should not spend more than 55 minutes on digital media.
REACTIONS ARE GROWING
The presentation of the bill prepared by Tuncay Özkan to the Parliament created confusion in the CHP. It is claimed that after the details of the content of the proposal emerged, reactions among the party staff increased and there were even those who wanted administrative action to be taken against Özkan. It was stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was also disturbed and that he could hold a meeting with the party group regarding this crisis in a short time.

Keçiören earthquake in CHP: ‘Özel insulted me’
The Keçiören crisis in CHP reached its peak last night with Mayor Mesut Özarslan’s resignation statement that shook the agenda. Stating that he has been subjected to systematic smear campaigns by some cliques within the party due to his various visits recently, Özarslan emphasized that the rumors in question intensified even more after his meeting with the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum on January 6. Underlining that they met with the Institution on the problems of Keçiören, Özarslan also criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel with harsh words. Noting that Özel sent a message to him at 23.59 on the night of February 7, Özarslan said, “Would a chairman swear at the mayor? Would a chairman target and insult family values? Would a chairman threaten with unspeakable words? It is out of the question for me to serve in the ranks of the CHP anymore, especially in the face of messages that include my family values and my sacred existence, my mother and my late father.” Noting that it is not possible to work healthily in an environment dominated by the tone in the messages, Özarslan said, “In this context, I am resigning from my CHP membership. At this point, unfortunately, Özgür Özel and his close colleagues have nothing left, neither the path of God, the homeland, the family, nor the values we consider sacred, and all sanctities have been destroyed.” Özarslan continued his statement with the statement, “I am also calling out to my friends with whom I walked the road,” and said: “The cause is a cause of humanity. I invite them to save themselves from this structure, which has moved away from its founding codes and is managed in an immoral manner, not to take part in the immorality committed against me, and to show their reactions. What was done to me and my family today should not be forgotten; if there is no reaction, one day it will be done to them too.”
