We introduced Türkiye by high -speed train. We built a total high -speed train network with a total length of 2 thousand 251 kilometers. In 2002, 10 thousand 948 kilometers of railway network to 13 thousand 919 kilometers, 2 thousand 505 kilometers of signal line length 8 thousand 46 kilometers, 2 thousand 122 kilometers of electric line length to 7 thousand 274 kilometers. We completely renewed our railways, which are 11 thousand 668 kilometers long.

We have transformed the airline into the way of the people. We have reached the number of airports that we took over from 26 in the airlines to 58. We bought the flight point abroad from 60 and brought it to a total of 353. Our Istanbul Airport is the vision project of Türkiye. In the first 5 months of the year, he broke his record with the number of passengers approaching 32 million. Another striking figure is that in 2002, the total number of vehicles in our country was around 8.5 million, while our average speed between cities was 40 kilometers per hour. Today, although the number of vehicles in our country exceeds 32 million, our average travel rate has increased to 90 kilometers. In other words, we wrote the epic in every title of transportation.

“We were not stuck in the opposition’s chock politics”

Of course, I have to emphasize this bitter truth here. As the government, we have struggled with the efforts of the opposition and marginal organizations in our country to block all these investments. They tried every way, including street events to sabotage the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which we proudly put on the Bosphorus. They slandered a lot of minds about Istanbul Airport. It was the day, “Are we going to eat the road?” They said. It was the day, they said, “These are wastewashes.” The day was, “the new road by making the traffic problem is not solved,” they said. It was the day, they kept watch on the gates of the court to stop the projects. It was the day, criticizing the high -speed train projects on the allegation of “accelerating migration”. A lot of allegations, slander and criticism that we cannot count here have stolen our landing investments. They tried to dynamite our services.

In fact, they did not do business, neither produced services, nor did they want to do business, produce services, and to bring our citizens together with the works they deserved. They never approached to go beyond the fields of ideological comfort. But we didn’t mind them. We have never surrendered to the opposition’s wedge politics. We have implemented our projects with determination without stuck with obstacles. Almost all of our source of Kıvanç have successfully printed many works, investments and vision projects in our country’s earnings.

“We almost put the Historical Silk Road back into service”

Together with our citizens, we establish peace and cooperation ways, corridors and routes to connect countries and neighbors, regions. At this point, we see that two major projects have gained strategic meaning. The first of these is the Middle Corridor. The middle corridor, which extends from China to Europe and connects 21 countries with the railway network, offers two times faster than the sea road and about four times more economical transportation than the airline. We are reintering the Historical Silk Road. We also put the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which constitutes the backbone of the middle corridor. We continue to further develop this enormous project on platforms such as bilateral and Turkish states.

“Employment will be provided to 144 thousand people”

In addition to all these initiatives, we are continuing our efforts to harmonize with the generation and road attempt of the People’s Republic of China, the common corridor. This route will securely connect Europe and Asia. While the transports made through Suez 35 days, the transportation of the Cape of Hope lasts approximately 45 days, this time will decrease below 15 days when our investments are completed in the common corridor. The trade volume potential of the common corridor over the railway is $ 75 billion. The annual transportation capacity in our country is around 6.5 million tons. We aim to carry 6.5 million tons of transport volume annually with our current investments. When we realize our projects that we continue to construction and plan for the common corridor, we anticipate that we will provide a total production impact of 114 billion dollars and employment for an average of 144 thousand people annually.

“Development Way is the key to regional stability”

Another project is the Project Development Road. Beyond being a commercial imagination, the development of development, which is a peace project, is the key to regional stability and prosperity with its location of our neighbor Iraq while connecting geographies on the north-south axis. The development road stands out with its multi -mode structure starting from the Persian Gulf and extending to our country and from there to Europe via Ovaköy. Thanks to the project, it is aimed to open the burdens coming to Faw Port of Iraq to Europe through our country. The impact of the Development Road on production with a 10 -year projection will exceed $ 50 billion. The impact of employment is calculated to find an average of 63 thousand people annually. With the Road to Development, we will turn our geopolitical opportunities into a comprehensive economic advantage that our region will benefit from. The biggest boiler of the project will be all sister countries in our region with us and our neighbor Iraq.

While advancing our relations with all the countries around us on the basis of winning-winning understanding, we also attach importance to establishing bridges between us. We believe that peace and peace will be able to dominate the whole world only by the development of humanity as a whole. For this reason, we are no longer talking about Türkiye not only the geopolitical position, but also the ability to be the island of geostrategic trust. We fill the gold of this claim with our transport investments, our humanitarian aid, with our entrepreneurial foreign policy, our conscientious stance in the world and with the contributions we make to the welfare of the peoples of the region.

Uraloglu, in his speech at the “Global Transportation Corridors Forum” held at the Istanbul Congress Center, said that the Forum is a historical opportunity to announce the global vision of Türkiye in the field of transport and logistics once again.

Stating that the vision of “No Corridor without Turkey”, which was put forward under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has become a road map that will give direction to global transportation policies today, Uraloğlu said that Türkiye was a natural bridge in the eastern-west corridor between Asia and Europe throughout history.

Uraloğlu underlined that it will be insufficient to define Türkiye only with its geopolitical position.
