Urban transformation oppression from CHP municipality
The İsmetpaşa District Urban Transformation Project, which has turned into gangrene because it has not been implemented for years in Mersin’s Tarsus district, has made thousands of citizens living in the region miserable. The contract between the municipality subsidiary TESKİ and the residents of the neighborhood was signed in March 2021. Nearly 3 thousand citizens were staying in the area, which included approximately 600 residences. The beneficiaries were informed that the new houses will be built and delivered within 36 months after the license is received. Although the license was received in December 2023, the CHP municipality has not hammered a single nail in the region for years.

BACK TO THE SNAKE STORY
Tarsus Mayor Ali Boltaç announced that the excavation activities have started, but it has been learned that only a half-meter deep work has been carried out in the region so far. During this period, the victims were also shaken by the warning from the municipality. The municipality, which has not hammered a single nail in the project for 5 years, has now sent a warning to the beneficiaries for the new contract. Although it has not started construction for years, the municipality has prepared a new contract to cover the project expenses and is trying to indebt citizens with higher amounts based on the new unit square meter price.

COVERED THREATS
Veiled threats are also made, stating that legal action will be taken regarding the residences of citizens who do not sign the new contract. In this context, it was reported that some citizens waived their previous rights by signing a new contract, while some continued their legal struggle.
PREPARATIONS FOR NEW PROTEST
Claiming that they entered into this project by trusting the municipality, but that the municipality does not have a single penny in its safe, the rights holders state that they have suffered a heavy loss and request help from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. On the other hand, it was reported that many complaints and petitions were forwarded to both CIMER and the municipality during this process. Victimized citizens are preparing for a new protest in the region this week.

Türkiye’s floating islands are dazzling
65-year-old geographer Prof., who brought Türkiye’s hidden natural riches to light. Dr. İhsan Bulut transformed his nearly 25 years of research into a giant work. Bulut, who studied “floating islands” that move with the wind on lakes throughout his academic career, which started at Atatürk University in 1985, managed to introduce the subject into world literature with these studies.
25 YEARS OF RESEARCH
The journey of discovery began in 2000 when an American researcher requested information about the islands in Bingöl. The cloud scientifically proved that “floating islands” are formed when plants whose roots are not connected to the ground interlock and form a light mass made of water. Bulut, who discovered 32 floating islands all over Türkiye, from Bingöl to Erzurum, from Denizli to Artvin, collected his works in a two-volume book called “Türkiye’s Floating Islands”. The professor also conducted field studies at Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia; He emphasizes that these sensitive structures, which the local people call “posti” or “wandering island”, should be protected and brought into tourism.

“There is now a Türkiye that makes games”
Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi met with gendarmerie personnel at iftar at the Gendarmerie Special Public Order Command. Stating that the gendarmerie is the name of a line of dignity that deters even with its shadow and puts its life on the line when necessary for the safety of the homeland, he said, “In our civilization, duty is a trust rather than a matter of position. It is entrusted to those who are entrusted, carried with its rights, and protected with its prayers. Therefore, JÖAK means carrying the prayers of the nation on its shoulders, with the permission of God.” Explaining that the level reached by the defense industry has given its forces in the field a great strategic advantage, Çiftçi said: “Domestic and national systems increase our speed, precision, intelligence and coordination capacity, and increase the effectiveness of our security units many times over. When these capabilities meet with the deep-rooted experience, discipline and high sense of duty of our gendarmerie, a great superiority emerges in the fight against crimes and criminals, from organized crime to drugs, from smuggling to cyber threats, especially in the fight against terrorism. There is now a Türkiye that is making games. “It is a country that holds the initiative in the field and neutralizes threats at their source.”

We have crossed the vital threshold for Türkiye
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, met with the editors-in-chief of media organizations at the iftar program held in Istanbul Filizi Köşk. Making important statements in the program, Kurtulmuş touched upon the importance of the National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy Commission Report. Noting that this is an important vital threshold for Türkiye and that this threshold has been exceeded, Kurtulmuş stated that the legal regulations in question should be brought to the agenda after the month of Ramadan. Kurtulmuş said: This work was adopted as a state policy and all institutions of the state continued their respective areas with serious coordination. The commission turned this state policy goal into a nation’s surveillance. Never engage in an approach that will turn the people of this region, the majority population of which the imperialists could not turn into enemies, into enemies. Neither hesitation was expressed nor anyone made such a proposal regarding Türkiye’s unitary structure and state system. It is a completely wrong perception.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING
Although the Rafah Border Gate is open on paper, it is not actually open. There are major restrictions on aid convoys entering. While we sit here at our comfortable iftar tables, the people of Gaza continue to suffer; They try to break their fast with the two morsels of sustenance they can find in their tents, half of which are filled with water. The whole world is watching this cruelty.
A US attack on Iran would be a disaster for the region. An attack that starts as ‘short-term’ causes great vulnerabilities where it is unclear where it will stop. We explain this to our interlocutors on every occasion.
POSITIVE DEVELOPMENTS ARE EXPERIENCED IN SYRIA
From the very beginning, we have always expressed our three basic preferences in Syria. One of these is that the new Syrian administration governs with an understanding that encompasses the Syrian people in ethnic and sectarian terms. Secondly, ensuring the integration of armed groups within the current new administration. Thirdly, protecting territorial integrity. Fortunately, we see that there are important developments in this direction. Our difference from those who have imperial interests over this region is this: They want this region to be further divided; We are struggling to ensure its compilation, integration and unity.
THE COUP CONSTITUTION IS NOT ENOUGH FOR Türkiye
One of the issues that Turkish politics agree on without speaking is that the September 12 coup constitution is no longer valid and sufficient for Türkiye. I hope that work will be done with a consensus on this issue. Türkiye quickly puts the issue of the new constitution on its agenda and makes progress. It is now a very outdated constitution for Türkiye.
