SON DAKİKA | AK Parti Sözcüsü Ömer Çelik’ten ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ açıklaması: MİT ve TSK sahada takip edecek
Son dakika haberi: AK Parti Genel Başkan Yardımcısı ve Parti Sözcüsü Ömer Çelik, “Uluslararası toplumun istikrar isteyen üyelerinin ve burada düzenin tesis edilmesi gerektiğini düşünen üyelerinin Suriye’de İsrail saldırganlığına da bir set çekme konusunda hassas davranmaları gerekir.” dedi.
Çelik, AK Parti Merkez Karar ve Yönetim Kurulu (MKYK) toplantısı nedeniyle basın toplantısı düzenledi.
Hayatını kaybeden sanatçı İlhan Şeşen için taziye dileklerini ileten Çelik, “Değerli bir sanatçımızdı, sanat camiamız için milletimiz için büyük bir kayıp.” ifadesini kullandı.
AK Parti Genel Merkez Gençlik Kollarınca düzenlenen “GENÇFEST: Bir Gençlik Festivali” programına ilişkin değerlendirmelerini paylaşan Çelik, programın yoğun katılımla gerçekleştiğini belirterek, “Cumhurbaşkanımızın katılımıyla birlikte bambaşka bir boyut kazandı.” diye konuştu.
Çelik, GENÇFEST ile AK Parti’nin “dünyanın en büyük gençlik hareketlerinden olduğunu bir kere daha ispat ettiğini” söyledi.
CHP Genel Başkanı Özgür Özel’in AK Gençlik’e çağrı yaparak “siyasi hayatın en absürt işlerinden birine imza attığını” belirten Çelik, Özel’in, AK Gençlik’i, “Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’dan farklı tutum almaya davet ettiğini” aktardı.
Özel’in, Başkan Erdoğan’ın tutumuyla ilgili ortaya koyduğu değerlendirme ve tanımlamanın yanlış olduğunu bildiren Çelik, şöyle devam etti:
“Artık üst üste siyasi yanlışlık yapmanın Özgür Özel açısından bir haber değeri yok. Burada bir kere daha görülüyor ki AK Gençliği Özgür Özel kendi partisi içindeki hiziplerden biri zannetmiş. Bu çok büyük bir siyasi yanılgı. AK Gençlik, Cumhurbaşkanımızın en kararlı, en gözü pek, en sağlam takipçilerinin başında geliyor. Dolayısıyla Özgür Özel’in AK Gençliğe çağrı yapması değil, AK Gençlik’in Cumhurbaşkanımıza olan bağlılığından ders alması gerekir. Bunu gençlik teşkilatımızdaki arkadaşlarımız, kardeşlerimiz özellikle bir kere daha vurgulamamızı istediler. AK Gençlik’le Cumhurbaşkanımız arasındaki yüksek bağlılık ve beraberlik yürüyüşünün hiçbir şekilde Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi tarafından değerlendirilmesi, öyle bir kapasiteyle ele alınması mümkün değil.”
Özel’in açıklamalarında “topu alıp maç yapmaktan bahsettiğini” dile getiren Çelik, “AK Gençlik zaten sürekli sahada. Özgür Özel’in kendi partisinin siyasi geçmişiyle hesaplaşıp, sürekli olarak maç oynanırken sahayı çalma huylarından vazgeçmeleri gerekiyor. Eğer sahayı çalmazlarsa zaten bütün maçlar yerli yerinde oynanıyor.” görüşünü paylaştı.
“İSRAİL SALDIRGANLIĞI SURİYE’Yİ VE BÖLGE BARIŞINI TEHDİT EDEN BİRİNCİ ETMENDİR”
AK Parti Sözcüsü Çelik, Suriye’deki gelişmeleri son derece yakından takip ettiklerini, Suriye Cumhurbaşkanı Ahmed Şara’nın Türkiye ziyaretinin son derece önemli olduğunu kaydetti.
“Suriye’deki yaptırımların kalkması yönünde çok ileri noktalara gelindi.” ifadelerini kullanan Çelik, ABD Başkanı Donald Trump’ın yaptırımların kaldırılması çağrısına olumlu cevap verdiğini, ardından Avrupa Birliği’nden de benzer açıklamaların geldiğini anımsattı.

Çelik, Suriye’ye dayatmalarda bulunmanın, siyasi biçim çizmenin değil Suriye’nin birliği, bütünlüğü, egemenliği, Suriye’deki bütün etnik grupların ve mezhep gruplarının birlik ve beraberlik içinde yaşaması noktasında yüksek bir iradenin ortaya çıkmasının sağlaması gerektiğini vurguladı.
Suriye’deki bütün dini grupların güvence altında olması, azınlıkların güvence altında olması, kadın hakları konusunda güvencenin tam olması gerektiğine işaret eden Çelik, etnik ve mezhep grupları arasında fitne tohumları ekmeye kalkanlara karşı da son derece duyarlı olunmasının şimdiye kadar gösterilen hassasiyetler bakımından son derece önemli olduğunu bildirdi.
Çelik, “Suriye’de Türkmen, Arap, Kürt, Sünni, Alevi, Dürzi, Nusayri bütün kesimlerin, bütün boyutlarıyla birlikte bir arada kardeşçe yaşamasını ve her birinin hem toplumsal hayatta hem yönetimde temsil edilmesinin Suriye’nin birlik bütünlüğü açısından son derece kıymetli olduğunu ifade ettik.” dedi.
Suriye Cumhurbaşkanı Şara ve ekibinin bütün toplumsal kesimlerle sağlıklı diyalog geliştirme adına çok iyi bir süreç yürüttüğü dile getiren Çelik, “Bundan sonrasında Suriye’nin yanında olmak, Suriye’nin birliğine, dirliğine ve istiklaline katkı sağlamak bölge barışı açısından da Suriye’nin geleceği açısından da en doğru iş olacaktır.” şeklinde konuştu.
Yakın geçmişte “Suriye’nin yeni bir Afganistan’a dönüşme ihtimali”nden bahsedildiğini anımsatan Çelik, gelinen noktada bu tehlikelerden giderek uzaklaşıldığını dile getirdi.
Çelik, Suriye’de şu anda istikrarsızlaştırıcı tek unsurun “İsrail’in saldırıları” olduğunu belirterek, “İsrail saldırganlığı Suriye’yi ve bölge barışını tehdit eden birinci etmendir. Bugüne kadar İsrail’in güvenliğini de sağlayan herhangi bir sonuç doğurmamıştır bu. Bütün bölgenin güvenliğini riske atan Netanyahu ve ekibinin katliamcı politikasını Suriye’ye de genişletmek çabasından başka bir şey değil. Gerçekten uluslararası toplumun istikrar isteyen üyelerinin ve burada düzenin tesis edilmesi gerektiğini düşünen üyelerinin Suriye’de İsrail saldırganlığına da bir set çekme konusunda hassas davranmaları gerekir.” görüşünü paylaştı.
Geçmişte Suriye’de vekalet savaşlarına imza atanların en büyük argümanlarından birinin “DEAŞ’le mücadele” olduğunu anımsatan Çelik, Suriye yönetiminin bugüne kadar DEAŞ’le mücadele konusunda hassas davrandığını belirtti.
DEAŞ’ı bahane ederek terör örgütlerini terör örgütlerine karşı kullanma yanlışlığının önüne geçilmesi gerektiğini vurgulayan Çelik, “Suriye’nin istikrarı konusundaki bütün bu adımları hassasiyetle takip ettiğimizi ve bundan sonrasında da aynı desteği vereceğimizi ifade ediyoruz.” ifadelerini kullandı.
AK Parti Genel Başkan Yardımcısı ve Parti Sözcüsü Ömer Çelik, “Bu saatten sonra kim Terörsüz Türkiye sürecini sabote etmeye kalkarsa, onun ne tür bağlantıları olduğu görülmüş olacaktır” dedi.
Bütün dünyanın gözü önünde İsrail’in soykırım ve katliam siyasetinin her gün yeni acılara imza atılarak devam ettiğine dikkati çeken Çelik, bunun durdurulması ile ilgili uluslararası toplum tarafından herhangi bir iradenin ortaya çıkmadığını söyledi.
Çelik, şunları ifade etti:
“Artık herkesin net gördüğü bir şey var, bu, Netanyahu ekibinin uluslararası hukuk önünde yargılanmaktan kaçmak ve tamamen kişisel durumlarını garanti altına almak için on binlerce çocuğu, insanı katliama gönderdikleri bir soykırım faaliyetidir. İngiltere, Kanada ve Fransa’nın yaptıkları ortak açıklamada ‘İsrail’e karşı birtakım adımlar atabilecekleri’ uyarısında bulunmaları son derece kıymetlidir. Yine İngiltere’nin İsrail’le yürüttüğü ticaret anlaşması müzakerelerini askıya alması son derece önemlidir. Avrupa Birliği’nden ve dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinden yükselen seslerin bu kadar net olması da önemlidir. Ama esas olan somut adım atılmasıdır. Bugün de yine bir okula katliam şebekesi bir saldırı gerçekleştirdi. Burada hem siyasi iradenin net olarak ortaya çıkması hem de somut adımlar atılması gerekiyor. Siyasi irade açısından, bu katliama karşı çıkan devletlerin yoğun bir biçimde Filistin devletini tanıması da son derece önemli bir mesaj olacaktır. Tabii somut adımların, uluslararası toplumun ortak iradesiyle ve bu ortak iradenin bütün bu katliama karşı çıkanlar tarafından sahiplenilmesiyle atılması son derece kıymetli olur.”
“SİLAH BIRAKMA SÜRECİNİ DOĞRULAMA MEKANİZMASI OLUŞTURULDU”
Çelik, “Terörsüz Türkiye” konusunu yakından takip ettiklerini vurgulayarak, “Sürekli olarak bununla ilgili değerlendirmelerimizi yoğun bir biçimde yapıyoruz. Önümüzdeki dönemde gelinen aşamada olması gereken terör örgütünün bütün unsurları ve bütün uzantılarıyla silah bırakmasıdır ve kendisini feshetmiş olmasıdır. Fesihle ve silah bırakmayla ilgili yapılan açıklamanın somut sahada ve eksiksiz olarak hayata geçmesi gerekiyor.” ifadelerini kullandı.
Terör örgütünün finansmanını sağlayan yapıların, terör örgütünün illegal yapılanmalarının, Suriye, Irak, İran’daki kolları ile Avrupa’daki yapılanmalarının sahada ve somut olarak fesih sürecini gerçekleştirmesi gerektiğinin altını çizen Çelik, bu çerçevede Irak’taki süreçte Irak hükümetiyle diyaloğun yakın şekilde sürdüğünü belirtti.
Yürütülen diyalog neticesinde Bağdat, Süleymaniye, Erbil ile koordine edilecek konuların olduğuna işaret eden Çelik, bu konularda ilerleme sağlanmaya devam edildiğini, Milli İstihbarat Teşkilatı ve Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nin sahada kurdukları mekanizmalarla silah bırakma sürecini doğrulama mekanizması oluşturulduğunu ifade etti.
Doğrulama mekanizmalarıyla silahların bırakılıp bırakılmadığı ve bunun ne düzeyde olduğunun teyit edileceğini belirten Çelik, “Her aşamada kontrol edilecek. Tabii Suriye kısmıyla ilgili olarak da öteden beri söylüyoruz. Orada da terör yapılanmasının sona ermesi gerekiyor. Terör yapılanması dışındaki unsurların Suriye ordusunun bir parçası olması gerekiyor.” diye konuştu.
“TERÖRSÜZ TÜRKİYE HEDEFİ İLHAM KAYNAĞI OLACAK”
“Türkiye açısından, Türkiye Yüzyılı’nda herhangi bir terör gündemi olmasını istemiyoruz.” diyen Çelik, şunları kaydetti:
“Bölge açısından da bölgeyi istikrarsızlaştırmak isteyen unsurların, güçlerin burada sürekli olarak terör örgütlerini bir araç olarak kullanması bölgede de büyük istikrarsızlıklar ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu istikrarsızlıkların giderilmesi açısından da ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ süreci esasında terörsüz bölge, terörsüz Orta Doğu sürecine bir ilham kaynağı olabilecektir. Bu saatten sonra kim bu ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ dediğimiz süreci sabote etmeye kalkarsa, onun tabii ne tür bir bağlantı içinde olduğu, bölgeyi istikrarsızlaştırmak isteyen hangi güçlerle aynı hizada durduğu net bir şekilde zaten görülmüş olacaktır. Şimdiye kadar yapılan temaslarda, dilin, siyasi söylemin sağduyulu bir şekilde kullanılması… Bundan kastım da şudur Terörsüz Türkiye odağından ayrılmayacak şekilde bunun değerlendirilmesi son derece önemlidir.”
DEM Parti’nin, siyasi partilere ve AK Parti’ye yaptığı ziyaretler çerçevesinde “Terörsüz Türkiye” odaklı birçok meselede sağduyulu davranmasına dikkati çeken Çelik, “Siyasi partiler arasındaki diyalog ve konuşmalar son derece önemlidir. Esasında bu süreçlerde itiraz edenlerin de bu sürece itiraz etmek ya da bir kenara çekilip eleştirmek yerine, siyasi diyalog sürecinin bir parçası olarak görüşlerini ifade etmeleri, siyasetin doğası açısından, yüce Meclis’in doğası açısından, siyasetin, milletin ihtiyaçlarını giderme misyonu açısından, yüce Meclisin millete hizmet etme ihtiyacı ve misyonu açısından son derece önemlidir, kıymetlidir.” ifadelerini kullandı.
“SAHADA SOMUT OLARAK GÖRÜLMESİ GEREKİYOR”
Çelik, eleştiriyle provokatif söylemi, eleştiriyle sabotaj yaklaşımını ve siyasi sabotajı birbirinden ayırt edebilecek deneyime sahip olduklarının altını çizerek, siyaset görüntüsü altında, siyasi sabotajları geçmişte de gördüklerini, sahada da çeşitli siyasi sabotajların söz konusu olabileceğini söyledi.
Sürekli olarak odak noktası olan “Terörsüz Türkiye” hedefinden ayrılmamak gerektiğine vurgu yapan Çelik, yanlış bir dil kullanıldığı zaman, bunun gündemi saptırmasına müsaade edilmemesi gerektiğini ifade etti.
Bu yanlış değerlendirmelere verilecek en büyük cevabın “Terörsüz Türkiye” hedefi konusunda kararlı, sabırlı süreci akılla, vicdanla, izanla yöneten ve odağını kaybetmeyen bir yaklaşım sergilemek olduğuna işaret eden Çelik, şunları kaydetti:
“Türkiye’nin terör gündeminden kurtulması demek, Türkiye’nin demokrasi, hukuk devleti, kamu düzeni, Türkiye Yüzyılı hedefleri açısından son derece stratejik bir aşama olacaktır. Ama fesih ve silah bırakma bir retorik meselesi değildir, bir söylem meselesi değildir. Sahada somut olarak görülmesi gereken bir meseledir. Burada da hem bu meselenin doğrulama mekanizmalarının çalışması ve aynı zamanda da siyasi partiler arasında bu süreçleri olgunlaştıracak şekilde doğru bir dil, terörü Türkiye gündeminden çıkaracak bir dilin ortaya konulması çok önemlidir. Tabii ki verilen destekler, bu sürece yönelik olarak katkı olarak ortaya koyulan yaklaşımlar, şimdiye kadar siyasi partiler arasındaki diyaloglar, karşılıklı istişareler fevkalade kıymetli sonuçlar doğurmuştur. Dolayısıyla bu siyasi partiler arasındaki bu trafiği önemsediğimizi ifade etmek istiyorum.”
“ÖNÜMÜZDEKİ GÜNLERDE DAHA HASSAS SÜREÇLER KARŞIMIZA GELECEK”
“Türkiye’nin milli değerlerinden taviz verildiği, milli kazanımlarının heba edildiği” yaklaşımlarının geçerliliği olmadığını belirten Çelik, şunları ifade etti:
“Türkiye bir yere gitmiyor, devletin nitelikleri ve milletin değerleri konusunda herhangi bir pazarlık yapılmıyor. Herhangi bir müzakere yapılmıyor. Doğru olan şey ülkemizde bütün insanlarımızın, bütün vatandaşlarımızın ortak geleceği, ortak yaşama iradesi çerçevesinde terörü Türkiye’nin gündeminden çıkarmaktır. Ve bunu yaparken de şunu unutmamak gerekiyor. Dediğimiz gibi vatandaşlarımız kendilerini çeşitli kimliklere ait görüyorlar. Çeşitli etnik ya da mezhebi aidiyetlerden, dini aidiyetlerden yola çıkıyorlar. Ama her zaman söylediğimiz gibi adlarımız farklı olsa da soyadımız Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’dir.
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin birinci sınıf yurttaşları olarak kendi geleceğimizi, ülkemizin karşı karşıya kaldığı bir meseleyi başkalarının iradesine ya da yönlendirmesine başvurmadan, kendi irademizle, kendi potansiyelimizle, kendi kapasitemizle Türk, Kürt, Alevi, Sünni kardeşliğini ve diğer unsurlarla kardeşliğimizi daha da pekiştirecek şekilde ortaya koymamız başlı başına bir kıymettir. Ve siyasetin millete hizmet etme açısından da böylesine bir misyon çerçevesinde irade ortaya koyması son derece değerlidir. Dolayısıyla önümüzdeki günlerde de daha hassas süreçler karşımıza gelecek. Hem Türkiye’nin içinde hem Türkiye’nin dışında daha yoğun tartışma yapılacak. Dolayısıyla burada odağımızın Türkiye Yüzyılı’nda Terörsüz Türkiye hedefine ulaşmak çerçevesinde olması son derece değerli olacaktır. Bu tartışmaları tabii ki biz yakından takip ediyoruz. Geçmiş dönemlerden de tecrübemiz var. Bu hedefe ulaşmak için gayretimizi sürdürüyoruz.”
AK Parti Genel Başkan Yardımcısı ve Parti Sözcüsü Ömer Çelik, “AK Parti’de görev yapanlar ve AK Parti kadroları olarak Cumhurbaşkanımızın yeniden seçilmesini birinci öncelik olarak arzu ederiz. Cumhurbaşkanımızın birikimi, sahip olduğu kapasite, ortaya koyduğu liderlik birikimi devlet ve millet hayatımız açısından bir hazine değerindedir.” dedi.
Çelik, AK Parti Merkez Karar ve Yönetim Kurulu (MKYK) toplantısı nedeniyle düzenlediği basın toplantısında soruları yanıtladı.
Çelik, MHP Genel Başkanı Devlet Bahçeli’nin “Yeni Yüzyılın Terörsüz Türkiye Stratejisi, Milli Birlik ve Dayanışma Komisyonu” kurulması çağrısıyla ilgili soru üzerine, Bahçeli’nin bu süreçteki müdahale ve yönlendirmelerinin Terörsüz Türkiye odağında kalabilmek açısından son derece kıymetli olduğunu belirtti.
Bahçeli’nin şimdiye kadar yaptığı her açıklamada son derece stratejik yaklaşımlar sergilediğine işaret eden Çelik, “Stratejik müdahalelerde bulundu ve bütün tartışmaların odağını Terörsüz Türkiye noktasında tutacak şekilde bir çerçeve çizdi. Bu kadar büyük bir meselede TBMM’nin katkısı ve yapacağı liderlik son derece önemlidir, kritiktir. Burada yüce Meclis’in yapacağı liderlik ve sürece katkısı bizim açımızdan son derece kıymetli ve önemlidir.” ifadelerini kullandı.
Başkan Erdoğan’ın, “Yeniden aday olmak gibi bir derdim yok” ifadesi üzerine MHP Genel Başkanı Devlet Bahçeli’nin yaptığı açıklamaların hatırlatıldığı Çelik, Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın, gelecek nesillere sivil bir anayasayı yapma hususunda hassasiyetinin olduğunu dile getirdi.
Türkiye’nin, “sivil bir anayasa” denilen yeni anayasaya ihtiyacının olduğunu vurgulayan Çelik, “Fakat bu konu konuşulduğu zaman iki şey öne getiriliyor. Bir tanesi Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımızın yeniden aday olup olmaması meselesi gündeme getiriliyor. Bir de sürekli olarak bir parlamenter sistem ön şartı.” diye konuştu.
Çelik, Parlamenter Sistem ve Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sisteminin demokrasinin içinde bir sistem olduğunu belirterek, “Türkiye’de parlamenter sistem varken, parlamenter sisteme karşı vesayetin yanında yer alanlar, bugün Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi karşısında parlamenter sistemi gündeme getiriyorlar.” dedi.
“SAYIN BAHÇELİ’NİN AÇIKLAMASI SON DERECE KIYMETLİ”
“Parlamenter Sistemin karşısında vesayetin yanında yer alıyorlardı. Şimdi de sadece Cumhurbaşkanımıza karşıtlık üzerinden bu konuyu gündeme getiriyorlar.” diyen Çelik, şunları kaydetti:
“Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımız, ‘kendisinin adaylığıyla ilgili tartışmaların bu meselenin bir parçası olmadığını’ ifade ediyor. Dolayısıyla anayasa meselesini bu tartışmaların dışında değerlendirmek ve buna katkı vermek lazım. Sayın Bahçeli’nin açıklamasına şükranlarımızı sunuyoruz, son derece kıymetli bir açıklama. AK Parti’de görev yapanlar ve AK Parti kadroları olarak Cumhurbaşkanımızın tabii ki yeniden seçilmesini birinci öncelik olarak arzu ederiz. Bu bizim de kanaatimiz. Cumhurbaşkanımızın birikimi, sahip olduğu kapasite, ortaya koyduğu liderlik birikimi devlet ve millet hayatımız açısından bir hazine değerindedir.”
Çelik, dünyada demokratik yolla iş başına gelmiş liderler içerisinde en tecrübelisinin Başkan Erdoğan olduğunu söyledi.
Başkan Erdoğan’ın, devlete ve millete, milletin verdiği yetki çerçevesinde hizmetinin devam etmesini arzu ettiklerini dile getiren Çelik, “Her zaman söylediğimiz şudur, millet ne derse o olur. Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımız da bunu ifade eder, ‘Bizi millet getirdi ve millet buna karar verir’ diye. Birçok ülke için çok ağır travma kaynağı olan bazı krizler Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımız açısından son derece kolay bir şekilde yönetilen, geçmişine çok hakim olduğu ve ileriye götürülmesi konusunda da berrak bir yol haritasına sahip olduğu krizlerdir.” diye konuştu.
Çelik, “genel af beklentisine” ilişkin soruya, “Bu konu, yargı reformu çerçevesinde ceza adaletinin sağlanmasıyla ilgili birtakım düzenlemelerden ibaret. Bunu olgunlaştırıyoruz. Bugün akşam da bir toplantı yapacağız bununla ilgili olarak. Cumhurbaşkanımız tarafından açıklanan yargı reformu çerçevesinde ceza adaletinin sağlanmasıyla ilgili konular var. İnfaz düzenlemeleriyle ilgili ceza adaleti çerçevesinde hasta, yaşlı tutuklular, çocuklarla ilgili düzenlemeler çerçevesinde gündeme alınan konular var. Bununla ilgili de olgunlaştırıyoruz süreci.” cevabını verdi.
“SANCILARI ON YILLARDIR DEVAM ETMEKTEDİR”
ABD’nin Ankara Büyükelçisi ve Suriye Özel Temsilcisi Tom Barrack’ın Sykes-Picot Anlaşması’na ilişkin sözlerinin hatırlatıldığı Çelik, açıklamanın ana çizgileriyle doğru olduğunu söyledi.
Büyük devletlerin çıkarları doğrultusunda yaptığı müdahalelerin, esasında “demokratik arayış olmadığını” belirten Çelik, “Maalesef bizim bölgemiz açısından da bunun müesseseleşmiş hali, müesses nizam olarak adlandırılmış hali Sykes-Picot Anlaşması’dır. Sykes-Picot Anlaşması’nda bahsedildiği gibi coğrafi gerçekliğe, bölgenin sosyolojik gerçekliğine uymayan bir sürü şey yapılmıştır ve bunun sancıları on yıllardır devam etmektedir.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.

President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş: We must be able to introduce our children to our own civilization values
According to the statement made by the Diyanet, Arpaguş spoke at the Childhood Quran Teaching Workshop themed “Educational Activities for Children in Quran Courses: Evaluation and Future Perspective” organized by the General Directorate of Educational Services.
Stating that early childhood is the most critical phase in which a person’s identity, personality and character are shaped, Arpaguş said, “In this respect, we see Quran courses for ages 4-6 as not only a teaching process in which the skill of reading the Quran is acquired, but also as a strategic education area that aims to protect the child’s nature, support his spiritual and moral development, and contribute to the construction of a solid identity and personality.” made his assessment.
Drawing attention to the importance and sensitivity of childhood, Arpaguş continued as follows:
“We should measure our success in teaching the Quran not by how much students memorize, but by their ability to establish a relationship of love and trust with the Quran that will last a lifetime. What is more important than a child of four or five years old knowing all the letters is that he comes running to the Quran lesson. What is more valuable than memorizing long surahs for a child at that age is that he can learn the love of Allah in a compassion-centered way. Therefore, we measure our success criteria not only on the amount of memorization, recognition of letters or the level of applying the rules of tajwid, but also on participation in the lesson, desire to learn, social “We have to read through multidimensional indicators such as interaction and positive attitudes towards the Quran.”
Arpaguş stated that they aim to develop a Quran education model that brings together knowledge and wisdom and transforms it into morality, and said, “In order to bring our children together with our own civilization values, we have to develop a strong pedagogical approach centered on wisdom, as in the Islamic education tradition.
