Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Kurtulmuş: Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan relations have entered a new era

Published

on

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, met with the Speaker of the Kyrgyzstan Parliament (Jokorku Keneş), Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, who paid an official visit to Türkiye, in the Parliament.

After welcoming Turgunbek Uulu upon his arrival at the Parliament, Kurtulmuş held a one-on-one and inter-delegation meeting with his guest counterpart.

Speaking at the joint press conference held at the Grand National Assembly Ceremony Hall after the meetings, Kurtulmuş expressed his satisfaction in hosting Turgunbek Uulu and his delegation in the Parliament and expressed his gratitude for bringing the breezes from the ancestral homeland to Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

Kurtulmuş said that it was meaningful and valuable that Turgunbek Uulu, whom he congratulated on being re-elected as the “President of the Parliament”, made his first foreign visit to Türkiye, as in the previous period.

Stating that they had very productive negotiations with Turgunbek Uulu and his delegation, Kurtulmuş noted that Turgunbek Uulu also paid a return visit to Ankara after his official visit to Kyrgyzstan last year.

Stating that they are following with great satisfaction the relations between the two countries, which have been developing gradually in recent years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov, also reflected in the relations between the parliaments, Kurtulmuş emphasized that they are determined to further develop these relations.

Reminding that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the parliaments of the two countries during their visit to Kyrgyzstan last year, Kurtulmuş said that they would be very pleased to host the “Turkey Friendship Group” formed in Kyrgyzstan in Türkiye during this process.

Stating that Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, as two important countries of the Turkic world, have entered an extremely close working period both within the Organization of Turkic States and within the body of TURKPA, the joint assembly of parliaments, Kurtulmuş underlined that they have been diligently maintaining their relations for a long time before these two important international organizations of the Turkish world.

“ONE OF THE IMPORTANT DUTIES FOR THE COUNTRIES OF THE TURKISH WORLD…”

TBMM Speaker Kurtulmuş stated that the Turkish world is a candidate to become one of the most important centers of world politics, whose balances have completely changed in the coming period, and it is already clear that it is entering a major transformation process, and said:

“The Turkish world, located in the most strategic regions from Central Asia to the interior of Europe, on the most important energy and transportation lines, is one of the remarkable centers of the world with its surface area of 4.5 million square kilometers, very rich underground and aboveground resources and a population of approximately 300 million. No matter how the balances develop in the next period, it is obvious that a new multilateral, multi-centered political formation will emerge in the world. That is why we say that the Turkish world, which has such a great potential, will make the most of this opportunity it has.” It is necessary to make good use of it, to develop the cooperation between them in an extremely strong way, and to move forward much more strongly by using all the geostrategic opportunities of this geography we are in.

We hope that our President’s goal of making the second century of the Republic of Turkey the ‘Century of Türkiye’ will be further expanded and the next century will be the ‘Century of Türkiye and the Turkish World’. For this reason, developing our relations in every field in the strongest possible way and using our opportunities to the fullest is one of the important duties for the countries of the Turkish world. Just as we increase our cooperation in the fields of education and culture, we also have to strengthen our relations in the fields of economy, bilateral and multilateral trade, energy, transportation and especially high technologies. “The relations between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan are one of the relations that have developed in this sense and will set an example for other Turkic world countries.”

“Türkiye-KYRGYZSTAN RELATIONS HAVE PASSED A NEW ERA”

Kurtulmuş noted that Turkey-Kyrgyzstan relations have entered a new era with the numerous bilateral agreements signed during President Erdoğan’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2024 and bilateral relations raised to the level of improved strategic relations.

Stating that they will make every effort to increase the relations between the parliaments and to ensure that the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan relations, which have developed recently, are among the exemplary bilateral relations, Kurtulmuş continued his words as follows:

“With the General Assembly of TURKPA to be held in autumn this year, Kyrgyzstan will take over the Term Presidency of TURKPA from Kazakhstan. I would also like to express that we attach importance to Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for temporary membership of the United Nations Security Council for the period of 2027-2028. As Turkey, we are considering Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for temporary membership on all platforms and especially through all our embassies in countries such as Latin America and Africa, where we are stronger than Kyrgyzstan.” We will put forth every effort to make it happen.

We believe that it is essential to further strengthen the relations between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan, especially in the economic field. The bilateral trade volume of 5 billion dollars, which was set as a common goal by the Presidents of the two countries, is unfortunately only at the level of 1.5 billion dollars. “When we look at the potential of both Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, it is possible to achieve this 5 billion dollar target in a very short time, and it is the common duty of all relevant institutions of both countries to work diligently for this.”

Kurtulmuş also stated that the relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan continue at an excellent level in every field and said, “Our hope is to take these relations to a stronger point in a comprehensive and multilateral manner in the coming period, to further increase the efficiency we obtain from these relations, and to further increase the friendly and fraternal opportunities we have for the common wealth and prosperity of the people of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.” he said.

STATEMENT OF TERRORISM-FREE Türkiye

In response to the question regarding the agreement reached with the terrorist organization YPG in Syria, Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Kurtulmuş said that they follow the developments in Syria very closely and that they see the latest developments as positive and important.

Stating that they gave importance to 3 issues after the revolution in Syria, Kurtulmuş said:

“One of these is that no terrorist organization should shelter in Syrian territory, which has become a haven for terrorist organizations for many years. Second, the territorial integrity of Syria should be ensured. Third, a new Syrian administration should be established in which the entire Syrian people, including all their ethnic and sectarian differences in Syria, are represented. The agreement reached between the Syrian administration and the SDF is a concrete reflection of our wishes on this issue. I hope that this integration process will be successfully completed without leaving any provocation and that different social segments will be represented in Syria.” A new management period will be started in which the

The silence of the guns in Syria, the establishment of peace in Syria, the peaceful living of Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, Nusayris, Sunnis, Druzes, Yazidis, in short, all Syrian people together in Syria, is undoubtedly a factor that will strengthen stability and peace in Türkiye and stability in the entire region. That’s why we fully support the peace process in Syria. We see it as important for Türkiye’s future that this process be completed without any accidents, troubles, mischief, or any provocation. I would like to reiterate something we have said from the beginning: Türkiye without terrorism actually means a region without terrorism. “A terrorism-free region is one of the most important elements that will ensure the stability of both Türkiye and the region.”

“THE OLD MEN HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WORD: DESCRIBE THE STYLE, THE SAME PERSON”

TBMM Speaker Kurtulmuş said, “There is a debate on blasphemy in politics these days. This is an issue that comes up in discussions in the Parliament from time to time. Can we get your evaluation?” In response to the question, he made the following evaluation:

“I do not engage in the polemics of daily politics, both in terms of my political identity and my responsibility as the President of the Parliament, but as long as I can remember, I have always tried to say this throughout my political life: Politics is actually a matter of the style used as much as it is related to the content of the words spoken. For this reason, my advice to everyone is to pay attention to the tone they use. In this context, everyone should strive to do politics with a decent and clean language, by complying with the basic human requirements, within the rules of courtesy that being human has taught us. Because politicians, yes, “It is not separate from the society, but every segment of the society looks at the politician, and we know that every word spoken here deeply affects the society. This is what the old saying goes: The style is the same as the person.”

In response to a question about TURKPA, Kurtulmuş stated that Uzbekistan is one of the important cultural centers of the Turkish world and that it is a country with deep historical and cultural values.

Kurtulmuş said, “A TURKPA without Uzbekistan is incomplete. Likewise, we hope that Hungary, which is an observer member, will become a full member of TURKPA as soon as possible. Even though it acts with the principle of full neutrality, we also wish Turkmenistan to be a part of TURKPA. From our perspective, we hope that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which currently has observer member status, will become one of the main members of TURKPA as soon as possible. I would like to express that we expect the support of friendly and brotherly countries for this.” he said.

THEY CHAIRED THE MEETING BETWEEN THE DELEGATIONS

Kurtulmuş, in his inter-delegation meeting with Turgunbek uulu, emphasized that, as Türkiye, they attach great importance to the stability, prosperity and regional effectiveness of Kyrgyzstan.

TBMM Speaker Kurtulmuş stated that they will continue their work to further deepen the cooperation between sister countries in all aspects, especially in political, economic and human areas.

Stating that, as parliamentarians, they can make significant contributions to the development of cooperation between the two countries by effectively benefiting from the opportunities offered by parliamentary diplomacy, which is increasingly important and effective, in addition to the work at the government level, Kurtulmuş noted that parliamentarians can make positive contributions to the deepening of cooperation in these areas by addressing the cooperation opportunities between the two countries in many areas.

Kurtulmuş emphasized that he attaches importance to the work of friendship groups and that these works can produce important outcomes.

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş also invited Turgunbek uulu to the 152nd General Assembly of the IPU, which they will host in Istanbul on 15-19 April.

At the meeting, Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman and AK Party Tokat Deputy Yusuf Beyazıt, Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group members AK Party Niğde Deputy Cevahir Uzkurt, AK Party Bursa Deputy Emel Gözükara Durmaz, CHP Istanbul Deputy Fethi Açıkel, MHP Samsun Deputy İlyas Topsakal and Kyrgyzstan. Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ankara Ruslan Kazakbaev and Kyrgyz MPs were present.

Kurtulmuş and Turgunbek uulu left carnations in the Parliament area, which was later bombed during FETO’s coup attempt on July 15.

Turgunbek uulu also visited the Grand National Assembly of Turkey General Assembly Hall and received information about the activities of the General Assembly.

BREAKING NEWS | Message from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to Özgür Özel: There is no by-election, during election time

Breaking news: MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli made a statement at his party’s group meeting. Devlet Bahçeli, reacting to the US/Israeli attacks on Iran and Lebanon, noted that the World Peace Council should be established. Noting that Türkiye is ready to undertake responsibility for peace, Bahçeli also gave important messages regarding the goal of a Terror-Free Türkiye.

BREAKING NEWS | Message from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to Özgür Özel: There is no by-election, during election time

Breaking news… MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli spoke at his party’s group meeting. MHP leader Bahçeli said, “The losses of life in the air attack carried out by the Israeli army on Lebanon show that the zionist plans do not intend to leave Lebanese territory.” he said. Bahçeli also responded to Özgür Özel’s midterm election remarks. Bahçeli noted that there will be no by-elections and that the elections will be held on time.

Highlights from Bahçeli’s statements:

Trump’s statement that they accepted a 2-week ceasefire on the condition of opening Hormuz, but his declaration that the war objectives were achieved showed that the crisis was brought to the table. The silence of the guns is an intermediate phase. The guns fell silent temporarily, but the scores were not settled.

LEBANON REACTION TO ISRAEL

Israel violates Lebanon’s territorial integrity. While there is a temporary pause on the Iranian front, the Lebanese front is kept open. The losses of life in the air attack carried out by the Israeli army on Lebanon show that the Zionist groups do not intend to leave Lebanese territory.

BREAKING NEWS | Message from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to Özgür Özel: There is no by-election, during election time

“WORLD PEACE COUNCIL SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED”

The inconclusive talks in Islamabad have further strengthened the possibility that the conflicts in the region will evolve into global destruction. Just as uncontrolled and unstoppable power competition and ambition for armament cause bombs to explode in the Middle East today, it will also pave the way for greater destruction in the heart of Europe, the nodal points of Asia and the fragile basins of Africa tomorrow. Shaken by the global epidemic in 2020, humanity has been constantly thrown by the Ukraine-Russia war, the deterioration of trade security in the Red Sea and the Black Sea, the human tragedy in Gaza, the destruction in Lebanon, and the crises that broke out in Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia. In a world where India and Pakistan are facing each other on the Kashmir line, and where the Pakistan-Afghanistan tension has turned the lives of tens of thousands of people upside down in Pakistan today, it is a dangerous mistake to think that the fire will be limited to a single region. In such a period when the possibility of World War II is more pronounced, the immediate implementation of a World Peace Council mechanism, under the leadership of the United Nations Secretary-General Guterres, with the participation of the USA, the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, Turkey and the European Union, is a historical obligation on behalf of humanity.

BREAKING NEWS | Message from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to Özgür Özel: There is no by-election, during election time

“Türkiye IS READY TO PUT IT UNDER THE STONE”

It is now inevitable for the manifestation of a new global will based on justice, balance and equity, not the ambivalent understandings that carry the word peace but actually expand the war. Türkiye is ready to take responsibility with the responsibility imposed by its history and the mission determined by its geography. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s maxim “Peace at home, peace in the world” will determine the route of every step we will take today, as it did yesterday, and the direction of all the roads we will walk.

First lesson of the Academy from Minister Tekin

Published

on

The National Education Academy opened its doors to teacher candidates as of yesterday. The preparatory training, which started with the first lesson given by the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, was implemented simultaneously in 12 application centers in 7 provinces. Minister Tekin, who met with teacher candidates at the Sultanahmet Training and Application Center in Istanbul, also addressed other centers via live connection. Minister Tekin defined teaching as “a covenant established in conscience” and emphasized that the profession is not only limited to transferring knowledge, but also plays a decisive role in the construction of a generation. Stating that teacher candidates are on the verge of a great responsibility, Tekin stated that this process should not be seen as an ordinary educational phase. One of the most striking aspects of the National Education Academy will be its structure that aims to close the gap between theoretical knowledge and classroom practice. Explaining that the program is planned to include approximately 600 hours of practice and 480 hours of direct teaching experience, Tekin said that teacher candidates will be better equipped for the field. The academy program is not limited to field knowledge only. A wide range of content is offered, from democracy culture to guidance, from family communication to critical thinking, from artificial intelligence to data-based evaluation. Thus, it is aimed to train teacher candidates with a versatile perspective.

FROM ROOTS TO THE FUTURE
Tekin also touched upon the Türkiye Century Education Model in his speech and stated that the new approach is based on a structure that integrates knowledge with skill and skill with value. Emphasizing that education is not only limited to academic success, Tekin stated that it is also considered as a process that strengthens cultural continuity and social memory.

NEW THRESHOLD FOR TRANSITION TO THE PROFESSION
Emphasizing that the National Education Academy is not a structure that replaces universities, Tekin stated that the aim is to ensure that teachers who are new to the profession go through a stronger preparation process. The academy aims to establish a strong interaction basis between experienced teachers and new graduates. With the new model, the transition to teaching process is no longer just an appointment phase, but is transformed into a planned, practice-oriented and holistic preparation period.
