Breaking News! Important statements from President Erdoğan
Breaking news… President Erdoğan makes a statement at the 12th Necip Fazıl Awards Ceremony held at Atatürk Cultural Center.
Highlights from President Erdoğan’s statements are as follows:
I hope that the 12th Necip Fazıl Awards will be beneficial for our country. I remember Master Necip Fazıl Kısakürek with mercy. I pray to God for forgiveness for the master’s eldest son, Mehmet Kısakürek. These awards have opened a new window to our world of culture, art and ideas. With globalization, cultural corruption affects the whole world. In this period when digital techno-culture causes a crisis of direction and meaning in literature, I find our Necip Fazıl Awards extremely valuable.
I am announcing the winners of this year’s awards;
Poetry Award: Celal Fedai
Story-Novel Award: Tarık Tufan
Idea-Research Award: Peren Birsaygili Mut
First Works Award: Merve Uygun
First Works Award: Hasan Bozdaş

I hereby convey my feelings of solidarity to all the Palestinian people. Inside the tents, we watch the mothers in the rain and mud. We say let’s send containers, we involve the UN, but the pharaoh called Netanyahu does not accept this.

Digital terrorism and disinformation were not allowed
In the statement made by the Directorate of Communications, it was stated that significant results were obtained in the studies on terrorist propaganda and disinformation activities in the digital field.
In the statement, it was noted that 3,679 of the access blocked accounts were determined to be linked to FETO and FETO-affiliated structures, and it was emphasized that legal and administrative procedures were completed and access blocking decisions were implemented, with the coordination of the relevant institutions, for 2,965 accounts that were found to be praising terrorism, encouraging terrorism, spreading disinformation, and carrying out psychological operation activities against Turkey.
THE MOST ACCESS BARRIERS ARE ON THE X PLATFORM
In the statement, it was stated that in the distribution of access blocked accounts according to platforms in the 7-month period, X took the first place, followed by Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Spotify.
The statement pointed out that terrorist organizations and organized disinformation networks aim to manipulate public opinion, influence social perception and create information pollution during crisis periods, especially by using platforms with high interaction potential.
“The coordination mechanism is not limited to interfering with illegal content. Trend topic (TT) lists, hashtag campaigns, coordinated sharing networks and bot account movements created on social media platforms are also monitored in real time with advanced digital analysis methods. While artificial agenda studies created for the purpose of psychological operations are detected in a short time, the source and spread model of the campaigns are revealed through digital network analysis. With the technical and legal processes carried out simultaneously by the relevant institutions, coordinated influence operations are prevented from reaching large masses.
Security sources state that digital platforms have now become an arena of struggle that directly concerns not only the field of communication but also national security. It is stated that technical analysis, judicial process and access measures are operated in harmony from a single center with the work carried out by the institutions, thus not only individual accounts but also organized digital networks are detected and neutralized. “Access block data on 6,644 accounts that emerged in the last 7 months reveals that Türkiye has implemented a multi-layered and coordinated fight model in the cyber homeland against terrorist propaganda, disinformation and psychological operations activities.”

Infrastructure went bankrupt in Ankara, Sözcü target surprised!
The heavy rain that hit Ankara last Saturday once again confirmed that the CHP Metropolitan Municipality was failing in infrastructure. The floods, which especially affected the districts of Mamak and Keçiören, gave the citizens and tradesmen of Ankara a difficult time.
Following the disgrace, Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan reminded that the infrastructure responsibility lies directly with the Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) and stated that the municipal teams are on the alert in the field. However, the subsidiary Sözcü newspaper, which tried to cover up the infrastructure weakness of the CHP administration, launched a perception operation by targeting Özarslan’s statements. The response to the media, which tried to exploit Özarslan’s thank you post to ASKİ last year, was not delayed.
HARD REACTION TO FONDAS MEDIA MANIPULATION
In his statement published under the title “Announced to the Public”, President Mesut Özarslan slammed the “excuse-finding” tactics of the supporting media and social media trolls. Emphasizing that they are grateful for the right work, but will not turn a blind eye to the suffering of the people, Özarslan said:
“The statement I made following the images of the flood yesterday had the aim of both sharing our work with our nation and revealing the reasons for the disruptions with public stance and public maturity. After our statement, they attacked through manipulative news sources such as Sözcü Newspaper and troll accounts, using the ‘excuse’ method they are very good at and publishing the thank you post I made last year. The post I made last year was very clear: I thanked ASKİ for the infrastructure works started in Keçiören. Because whoever does the right thing is better off thanking them.” “I have no hesitation, but it is our responsibility to our nation to criticize and share when we see shortcomings.”
“A WHOLE YEAR HAS PASSED BY, WHAT DID THE CHP ADMINISTRATION DO?”
Stating that the perception is being carried out under the name of infrastructure move and that no progress has been achieved in the past year, Özarslan revealed the inadequacy of the CHP administration with the following words:
We said, “The infrastructure work that has been initiated is valuable, we thank those who contributed.” A whole year has passed. So what changed? In the rain that fell yesterday, the streets were again submerged in water, our citizens were victimized again, and our tradesmen were heartbroken again. “So, no progress has been made in those studies that were initiated.”
“This means that there are serious deficiencies in infrastructure, lack of grids, manhole cleaning, preparation and crisis management. Those who change the agenda by discussing what was talked about in the past and what is talked about today will one day be embarrassed!”
“INCOMPATIBLE STAFFING AT ASKI IS VICTIMIZING THE PEOPLE OF ANKARA”
Emphasizing that they think about the life and property safety of the people of Keçiören, not politics, Özarslan concluded his statement by pointing out the incompetent structure in Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and ASKİ:
“Our problem is Keçiören, not politics. Our problem is our citizens who look out the window with fear when it rains. Yesterday we thanked for the goodwill. Today we criticize the work that was not done. Tomorrow, we will thank whoever does the right thing, and we will stand against whoever does not do their duty.
I repeat: Negativities in the infrastructure are experienced due to unqualified staffing and unplanned management approach in ASKİ. This is the truth whether you accept it or not. The people of Ankara face this reality every time it rains. “At least for the future, my only hope is that those who have the responsibility of managing the city will face this reality and do what is necessary.”
