Founded in 1951, Istanbul Imam Hatip High School has become an educational institution where many generations have been raised and known for its academic and cultural achievements. The school, which had its first graduates in the building in Vefa in 1956, continued education as Istanbul Imam Hatip School until the 1971-1972 academic year. However, since the name of Imam Hatip Schools changed to Imam Hatip High School on this date, its name became Istanbul Imam Hatip High School. The school, which became a completely Anatolian High School in the 2013-2014 academic year, was included in the scope of the project as of the 2014-2015 academic year. The school, rebuilt by Tay Group, opened its doors to students with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2017 under the name “Istanbul Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School”.
