We are against military intervention in Iran – Last Minute News

Published

on

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan stated that Iran should solve its problems through diplomacy and said, “We do not want an intervention.” Hakan Fidan said: Iran needs to solve its authentic problems within itself. It should also solve its problems in the global nuclear issue through diplomacy without losing any opportunity, so that some structural problems that cause economic difficulties will be eliminated. We do not want there to be an intervention here, but when you look at the policies of (US President Donald) Trump, we have not seen that he has preferred to use land force so far. There is a wide range of things that will happen in Iran. I think that the large-scale instability is beyond the capacity of the region. America and Iran will resolve this issue either through mediators or through other actors or by meeting directly. We are following the issue closely. The great transformation that Syria is going through and its integration into the international community constitute one of the positive developments of 2025. We hope that the constructive will of the regional countries, European states and the USA will continue on this path. The SDF issue continues to be a problem for Syria, Turkey and the rest of our region. As Türkiye, we will continue our determined and clear policy on this issue in 2026.

USA SEES IT TOO

America is engaged in serious mediation activities on this issue. There are strong negotiations. Negotiations are held between the YPG and the Syrian government from time to time for weeks. There is a mediator. There are Americans. They look, who makes sense? They also see that YPG’s propaganda for many years is not true. Therefore, the government’s use of force when necessary is now a more normal situation for others.

FRAGILE BUT PROMISING HOPE

The genocide in Gaza constituted the most serious and priority agenda item of 2025 in terms of international law and humanitarian values. As Türkiye, under the leadership of our President, we made great efforts together with friendly and brotherly countries to stop the genocide and ensure a ceasefire. At this stage, we are faced with a fragile but promising situation. We will continue to work to transform the ceasefire into a permanent peace and to rebuild Gaza.

Our citizens should not trust such provocative psychological warfare content targeting our unity, only those made by official authorities.” “They are kindly requested to take the statements into consideration.”

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş: “Israel’s UN membership should be suspended”

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş: Israel's UN membership should be suspended

Although people all over the world reacted against this, more than 75 thousand people were killed in these 3 years. 70 percent of these were women and children. I wonder who used which institution to put a ‘Stop’ to this genocide of Israel? Will he be able to say? Likewise, who will stop this war, which started with the attack on Iran by American and Israeli forces and then expanded by Iran to countries in the region? In what way will the power of which international organization be manifested and achieve the results we want? I want to say this. There are institutions in the world, but these institutions no longer function, these institutions have collapsed.” Pointing out that the rules that constitute the founding philosophy of the UN are only on paper, Kurtulmuş emphasized that with the collapse of the institutions, the rules and the entire terminology of international relations have almost collapsed. “The global system is in a state of complete decay. “It is obvious that we need extraordinary efforts and efforts to get rid of this rottenness of this system,” said Kurtulmuş and continued as follows:

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş: Israel's UN membership should be suspended

“I would like to give two examples of how the international system can prevent some negative developments in the world. One of them is that South Africa’s membership in the United Nations was suspended in 1974 due to the apartheid regime. Today, Israel applies the same apartheid practices against Palestinians. Not only is it committing genocide against people, but also the death penalty is imposed on Palestinians in the West Bank by the decision of the Israeli parliament. How will the death sentences given by military courts be valid? In one country, another law against Palestinians, another against Israelis. “What is applying another law but apartheid? Just as South Africa’s membership in the UN was suspended yesterday due to the practices of the apartheid regime, Israel’s membership in the United Nations must be suspended today and the apartheid regime must be prevented. That is why I gave South Africa as an example.” Kurtulmuş said, “Secondly, you will remember that the far-right Haider won the elections in Austria in 2000. With Haider’s victory, the European Union stood up and said, ‘Such a fascist cannot be the prime minister in Europe.’ They stood up in Europe and reacted. Haider could not stand it in the end, resigned from the party chairmanship and his party could not become a partner in the government. This means that, if desired, a fascist party could be prevented from coming to power by European and Western powers. “I gave these two examples to find solutions to the problems of the period we live in.” made his assessment.

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş: Israel's UN membership should be suspended

“WE HAVE TO WANT FOR ALL PEOPLE WHAT WE WANT FOR OURSELVES”

Kurtulmuş pointed out that the coming period will become increasingly difficult and said, “We all have to meet on the common denominator of humanity and want for all people what we want for ourselves.” he said. Pointing out the equality of countries in sovereignty and equality of people in creation, Kurtulmuş said that the most fundamental problem in the world today is that some people are considered superior and some people are inferior. Kurtulmuş stated that while the sovereignty of some countries is seen as very strong, the sovereignty of some countries is not even mentioned at all, and said: “If we try to count the countries in the region whose sovereign rights have been attacked in the Middle East in just the last three years, we will probably mention many countries. Attacking the sovereign rights of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and many of the countries in the region is an unacceptable situation. Every country has its sovereignty. “They have equal rights. It is the common duty of the human family to ensure this. If we are talking about an international community, I believe that this is our most fundamental duty. Therefore, we will struggle and strive to raise hopes, strengthen peace and establish justice.” Wishing that this international meeting will host such important ideas and lead the way in establishing a new system in the world by discussing these good ideas, Kurtulmuş said: “Of course, we will come together, talk, share our ideas and opinions, try to convince each other, but we will never forget that our main issue is to establish a new, fair and equitable global system. On the one hand, we will strive to increase the institutional capacity of our institutions, ensure that they work more effectively, but we will struggle to establish a new and equitable world system. “The future of humanity lies in the determination to build a new system. It is the duty of all of us to put forward a new, fair, global political architecture and a fair economic architecture that will ensure economic justice in the world. This job is not only the responsibility of the governments, but also of the parliaments that serve on behalf of the people and are the representatives of the people, that is, of us, that is, of those in this hall.” After the speech of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Kurtulmuş, a family photo was taken at the 152nd General Assembly of the IPU.
