We showed the power of Türkiye as 86 million

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the ‘6 February Earthquakes Commemoration Program and Mass Opening Ceremony of Completed Investments’ held in Osmaniye by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with the theme “Rising from the Ashes Again, Look at the Power of My Turkey”: I pray to God to have mercy on each of our 53 thousand 697 citizens who passed away in the disaster of the century. Once again, I wish patience to all our earthquake victims and our entire nation.

On February 6, 2023, we experienced one of the greatest disasters in the history of our Republic. As Muslims, we will of course experience our pain, of course we will mourn; But we will never neglect to walk towards the future and continue on the path. We have supported each other and will continue to do so. We will heal each other’s wounds. We will hold tightly to all the values that make us a great nation. When I look at you today, thank God, I see a picture of dignity and a victory of hope that has been able to achieve all these, that has been able to trust both its state and its nation in the darkest nights, and that has overcome these difficulties by giving hand in hand, back to back, heart to heart. I feel great pride and happiness about this. You don’t bend down, you stand tall; I congratulate each of you for not breaking down and not falling into despair.

14 million people living in an area of 120 thousand square kilometers in 11 provinces were directly affected by this disaster. We gave 53 thousand 697 of our citizens to the heart of the black earth. The direct cost of these earthquakes, one of the disasters of the century, to our economy is 104 billion dollars, and the indirect cost is 150 billion dollars. This amount, corresponding to 9 percent of our national income, is the heaviest economic loss resulting from natural disasters in our country’s history. As a state, we took action from the first minutes of the earthquake; We quickly deployed 650 thousand of our personnel to the region. During this process, our ministries, municipalities, security forces, non-governmental organizations and philanthropists mobilized with the spirit of dedication. This solidarity of 86 million people showed once again the power of our Turkey, which was reborn from its ashes, to the Turkish world and the whole world.

We have reconstructed and revitalized our cities in just three short years. As the alliance and the government, we have fulfilled our promises to you. To date, we have completed a total of 455 thousand 357 independent sections, of which 433 thousand 667 are residences and 21 thousand 690 are workplaces. We witnessed the peace of mind of our rightful brothers and sisters to whom we handed over the keys in Hatay last December 27th. People know very well what we do. We speak not with words, but with actions. Today, we are officially opening 12 thousand 557 independent sections, including residences, village houses and workplaces. We also offer various facilities of 67 thousand 813 square meters to the service of our nation. I hope that the 116 items of investment, with a total cost of 74 billion 900 million liras, will be beneficial to our city and to you, my brothers from Osmaniye.

EARTHQUAKE TOURISTS SPOT ALL KINDS OF Slander

While we were trying to offer a brand new future to our citizens, unfortunately, some circles, led by the main opposition, planned to gain political profit from this earthquake. There is no slander left by the earthquake tourists who did not take responsibility. They said, “They cannot finish the houses.” “The state left its citizens alone,” they said. “Search-rescue and aid efforts are carried out according to vote preferences,” they said. At least thank your state for delivering 455 thousand houses today. I would like to give good news here. We will deliver 500 thousand social houses to our citizens on the promised time.

BAHÇELİ: NO DISASTER CAN TURN THE TURKISH NATION AWAY

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli: I am very pleased to be at the father’s house at this commemoration meeting. The faithful attributes that make us who we are, that elevate us to the level of a blessed and magnificent nation, and that turn us into historical observation and architecture should be sought here. No disaster, no calamity, whether originating from underground or above ground, has been able to divert the Turkish nation from its path. The Turkish nation will not be destroyed. We demonstrated this with state-nation solidarity. We stood up in solidarity. The mask of the opportunistic villains who claimed that the state was insolvent has fallen.

EQUIPPED WITH TURKISH FLAGS

The emphasis on unity, solidarity and solidarity came to the fore in the program. Osmaniye Adnan Menderes Boulevard was decorated with Turkish flags.

WE STANDED UP SHOULDER TO SHOULDER

First Lady Erdoğan: Just as we were one heart that day, today we are rebuilding our destroyed cities shoulder to shoulder.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz: The state and the nation, hand in hand, healed our wounds with a great mobilization and brought our cities back to their feet in less than three years.

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum: History books will write about the workers who built an area the size of a European country, about Türkiye who built safe homes for millions of its brothers and sisters, and about the Turkish Century.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya: We turned the disaster of the century into the unity of the century. We have undertaken the world’s largest improvement operation together.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş: Each family that lost their loved ones became our family too.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu: We are determined to build our cities, roads and future stronger.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan: Admirable progress has been made in the reconstruction of our cities in a short time. ANKARA

He targeted President Erdoğan with vile words! Successive reactions from Türkiye to murderer Netanyahu

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS DURAN: NETANYAHU IS A CRIMINAL WITHOUT FRIENDS LEFT

Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s words towards President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and said, “Netanyahu, who committed genocide in Gaza and attacked seven countries in the region, dares to target our President in desperation. Netanyahu is a criminal who has arrest warrants against him and has no friends left.” he said.

Duran, in his statement on his NSosyal account, said:

“Netanyahu, who committed genocide in Gaza and attacked seven countries in the region, dares to target our President in desperation. Netanyahu is a criminal with arrest warrants against him and no friends left. He is dragging the region into chaos and conflict as a strategy to maintain his political existence. Everyone knows that Netanyahu does not have moral values and the legitimacy to teach others a lesson. Sooner or later, he will be held accountable for his crimes against humanity. Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will be more just, more peaceful and more peaceful.” “We will continue to fight against oppressors for a safe world.”

Harsh reaction from AK Party Spokesperson Çelik to Netanyahu’s vile statements!

AK PARTY SPOKESPAPER ÖMER ÇELİK: NETANYAHU WILL BE TRIED

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated the following in his statement to A Haber:

“Our President is in a situation where he is fighting against this massacre network. Our President said in the first place that Netanyahu is responsible for the genocide and that he must be held accountable. It is a badge of honor for our President that Netanyahu constantly targets our President. He is trying to sabotage the peace talks in Pakistan. What he is trying to do here is to say to the westerners, “What Israel is doing represents your values.” Within the presented plan, after massacring people with aerial bombardment, we will create chaos by rioting our Kurdish brothers. But the Iranian people are in great disarray. “Common sense has revealed that Netanyahu and his massacre network will be tried.”

MINISTER INSTITUTION: Türkiye WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE LAND OF PEACE

In his post, Minister Kurum said, “Today, there is a global answer to the question “Who is the terrorist regime?”: Occupied Israel. History will write you down as a genocide criminal who bombed hospitals, schools, mosques, churches and murdered babies. Turkey, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will continue to be the hope of the world, the home of the oppressed, the home of peace, as it was yesterday, today and in the future.” He included his statements.

MINISTER GÜRLEK: IT REVEALS THE DEPTH OF THE MORAL DEADLINE

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, in his post on the subject, said, “Netanyahu, the ringleader of the genocidal massacre network in Israel,’s excessive and unfounded statements towards our President, the voice of global conscience and the pioneer of diplomacy carried out for regional and world peace, are never acceptable. The targeting of Türkiye and our President by a person for whom an arrest warrant has been issued by the International Criminal Court clearly reveals the depth of the legal and moral impasse it is in. Under the leadership of our President, Türkiye will continue to be the pioneer of diplomacy for peace on the basis of international law.” Turkish justice will continue to stand by the right and the oppressed and to follow up on the crimes committed.” He included his statements.

Bilal Erdoğan’s emphasis on the Turkish brand: We have a unique brand

Published

on

The panel held at the Başakşehir Complex of the University was moderated by Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, IHU Faculty of Management Sciences Department of Economics Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker made it.

Şeker, who opened the panel, said that they determined the theme of the panel as the enrichment and deepening of young people’s interests and views, which have narrowed over time, their sensitivity to the world, their ability to think about issues from different dimensions, and the development of their intellectual curiosity.

Prof. Dr. For this purpose, Şeker stated that they named the opening panel of the academy “Turkish Brand from an Interdisciplinary Perspective” and that they aimed to make young people think about the Turkish brand with a broad perspective in the fields of education, culture, foreign policy and economy through the evaluations of the guests.

Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Chairman of the IHU Board of Trustees, stated that he spent about 5 years of his life in Italy, about 10 years in the USA, and a significant part of his life in Türkiye, and explained the cultural differences he saw in these countries.

Noting that many immigrant cultures have melted into a mixed culture in the USA, Erdoğan stated that Italy has a more ancient culture compared to the USA, that a difference is felt between the south and north, that the south of the country is a little warmer, natural and sincere due to its proximity to the Mediterranean and being influenced by Muslim culture, while the north is more dull.

Bilal Erdoğan's emphasis on the Turkish brand: We have a unique brand

“Türkiye’S CULTURAL WEALTH IS A TYPE THAT IS VERY RARE”

Erdoğan stated that Türkiye has differences due to being in a geography that hosts many civilizations, and said:

“You see that there are differences between Türkiye’s regions in many aspects, stemming from history, geography, and the fact that different societies are transit routes. That’s why you cannot see Türkiye’s cultural richness in America or Italy. This is an advantage, a richness. It is a type of richness that is very rare in other countries of the world. If we are talking about making the Turkish brand unique here, we need to realize that we actually have a unique brand. When we realize that this multi-layered, very rich structure of our brand is unique, how can we bring these to the fore? “What we will extract, what we will frame and present will emerge.”

Recalling the line from the National Anthem, “Recognize the places you step on as soil”, Erdoğan said, “You cannot seriously ignore the blood that flows in these lands, nor can you ignore thousands of years of history here. When we think of all of these, we truly live in the center of the world, in one of the countries with the richest accumulation and heritage. We are in the most beautiful city in the world.” he said.

Bilal Erdoğan stated that every society should be able to live its own culture with self-confidence and comfort, and to be able to freely embrace and express the identity of its culture, and said, “We need this too. We still have some complexes in this regard, we still have things to get over. We are in a much better place than 25, 50 years ago, we are much more self-confident, we can express ourselves more easily. We can establish a relationship with our own culture much more easily. As we eliminated the deficiency here, these values started to appear on the world stage, but they are clearer.” “We will see that it comes out somehow. This will, of course, increase Türkiye’s material and spiritual power of attraction, reputation and economic potential.” made his assessment.

Referring to the richness of food and beverage culture in Türkiye, Erdoğan added that as IHU, they have projects related to the soup kitchen in Suleymaniye Madrasahs, and within this scope, they will realize the Ottoman-Turkish Culinary Arts Center.

In the panel, Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan and National Intelligence Academy President Prof. Dr. Talha Köse also made a speech.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz: All of Türkiye will win when terrorism is off the agenda

Published

on

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz attended the ‘Agriculture, Food and Industry-Oriented Development Vision Workshop in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia’ meeting held in the meeting hall of a hotel in Diyarbakır’s Yenişehir district. The program was also attended by Governor Murat Zorluoğlu, AK Party Diyarbakır MPs Mehmet Sait Yaz, Suna Kepolu Ataman and Mehmet Galip Ensarioğlu, Dicle University Rector Prof. Dr. Kamuran Eronat, AK Party Provincial Chairman Ömer İler, representatives of non-governmental organizations and many guests attended.

‘THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST HAD THE BIGGEST ECONOMIC LOSS’

Speaking after the reading of the National Anthem and the opening speeches, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said, “In line with our goal of a terrorism-free Turkey, the strengthening environment of trust and stability in our Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions has opened the doors to a much stronger progress in every field from agriculture to industry, from investment to employment. The environment we have lived in over the past 40 years, terrorism and security issues have unfortunately produced great costs in terms of economic development as well as human losses. Some calculations we have made regarding direct and indirect economic costs show the following “This is the minimum figure, we are talking about a loss of at least 2 trillion dollars. Therefore, if these resources had not been wasted and used for the development of this region and our country in general, the Republic of Turkey would be at a much different point today. We need to think about this in the coming period. The region where the biggest loss was experienced and the biggest loss of development was in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia region. Of course, all of Turkey suffered losses, but the East and the Southeast suffered the biggest loss in terms of development and economy,” he said.

‘EASTERN AND SOUTHEAST ANATOLIA WILL WIN THE MOST’

Stating that the whole of Türkiye will win in the ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ process, Yılmaz said, “The whole of Turkey will win in a period when terrorism is off the agenda and the environment of peace and trust is permanently consolidated. Our 81 provinces and 86 million people will win, but Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia will win the most, and its development will gain momentum. The positive picture we see in the field today clearly shows that where the shadow of terrorism has receded, production is revitalized, cities are breathing, hopes are growing. What we have implemented is “I wholeheartedly believe that this process will be moved to a much further point in the coming period with the projects, the determined steps we have taken and the great opportunities our provinces have. We have not reached the point we have reached today by treating development as a one-dimensional issue. We act with a broad perspective, from increasing production capacity to strengthening human capital, from developing infrastructure to increasing competitiveness,” he said.

‘WE FOLLOW A STRATEGY OF DIVERSIFICATION IN LOGISTICS AND DEVELOPING ALTERNATIVES

Stating that Türkiye has developed new logistics lines, Yılmaz said, “We frequently encounter crises, especially wars, in our geography. Therefore, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, the USA and Israel are recent examples of this. We are following a strategy of diversifying and developing alternatives in logistics by using the advantages of our geography. At this point, I see three critical logistics ahead of us. All three of them are actually related to the East-Southeast. The first is the Development Road Project. The recent events going down from Türkiye to the Middle East are how meaningful this project is.” It is not only a highway but also a route that should be discussed in terms of new energy routes. This is a work that will directly connect Türkiye with the Turkish Republics. We have reached a certain point in this regard. I see this as the third strategic transportation network. I think it would be beneficial to re-look at it in a modern framework. “It has opened a new logistics perspective for us in Syria with some of its projects. We definitely have to take a closer look at this,” he said.

‘WE WILL SEE MORE REFLECTIONS OF THE SECURITY ENVIRONMENT IN THE COMING PERIOD’

Referring to the tourism potential of Diyarbakır, Yılmaz stated that the potential will increase with the creation of a security environment and said, “Last year, more than 1 million tourists and visitors came to Diyarbakır. We all remember what the environment was like in the past. Today, thankfully, there is a very different atmosphere. This will be even better. I hope we will see more reflections of the security environment in the coming periods. It may not appear suddenly, but after passing a certain threshold, such as the boiling of water, these effects will emerge much more clearly. It is one of the areas where this emerges most rapidly. One of them is the tourism sector. Beyond this physical construction, we also need a mental transformation. I think tourism contributes significantly to this. These perceptions need to be transformed both in the minds of the people living in the region and throughout Türkiye. Therefore, this will take some time, but tourism contributes significantly to this.

‘THE STRENGTHENING THE PEACE AND TRUST ENVIRONMENT MEANS THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT’

Stating that all of Türkiye will win in an environment where terrorism is off the agenda, Yılmaz said:

“It is not possible for a region to develop and develop only with public investments. If public investments are one side of the business, the other side is private investments. When you realize both at the same time, you make a real economic move. You increase production, exports and employment. With this understanding, we made public investments on one side. On the other hand, we provided very serious incentives to this region. Now, state investments can continue in an environment of peace and security, even if there are some problems. It continues in a way. But the private sector is much more sensitive. Capital is sensitive. What we call the investment environment There is a concept: If the security environment in a region is not good and the perceptions are negative, the capital in that region moves to other regions and invests. Therefore, the strengthening of the peace and confidence environment means that we see more private investments here. We all live in this process and we support it. In an environment where terrorism is off the agenda and the environment of peace and security is strengthened. “We will win, and the living standards of our 86 million population in 81 provinces will rise. We believe this wholeheartedly. Therefore, I wholeheartedly believe that we must put aside the words of yesterday and take into account the current period and the future perspective, and that we should all fulfill our responsibilities in these processes and contribute positively to this, and move our country towards a much stronger future together with the public, private sector and civil society.” (DHA)
