President Erdoğan gave the instruction! A new era in local governments
Transparency is prioritized in the reform draft prepared in line with the message of “control of the resources used by municipalities on behalf of the nation” that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan previously pointed out. According to the study presented by the AK Party Local Governments Presidency at the Central Executive Board, mayors will disclose the assets they acquired during their term of office. Tender information, contract numbers and expenditure items of municipalities will be shared with the public regularly every month. The draft also scrutinizes the practice of mayors appointing their relatives. It is aimed to make service-oriented and efficient municipality a mandatory part of the system.
NEW FORMULA FOR SSI DEBT
Different formulas for the regular collection of SSI debts of municipalities with increasing debt burdens are also included in the reform package. Thus, it is aimed to strengthen the financial discipline of municipalities and prevent public damage.
WE NEED TO EXPLAIN THE DUTIES OF MUNICIPALITIES TO THE NATION
At the meeting, Mayor Erdoğan drew attention to the inadequacy of opposition municipalities in terms of providing services. Emphasizing that water management is the primary duty of municipalities, Erdoğan said, “They say ‘State Hydraulic Works (DSI) should work on water. We work, we bring water, but we need to explain to the nation that this is their duty. Water is the source of civilization, production, energy and life. Water management requires experience and vision.”
WE BROUGHT WATER TO ISTANBUL FROM A DISTANCE OF 180 KILOMETERS
Referring to his term as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Erdoğan said, “I come from the mayoralty. We brought water to Istanbul from a distance of 180 kilometers from the Istranca Mountains. We took over the municipality from the CHP mentality. CHP municipalities cannot deliver the water they have to the nation. Our citizens are waiting for water in tanker queues with canisters. This is the difference between us.”
GO ON THE FIELD
Making evaluations about Ramadan at the meeting, President Erdoğan instructed the organizations, “Everyone go to the field. Stand by our nation with a sense of mobilization. The AK Party is the hope of the nation. The People’s Alliance is the center of politics.”
“MY FIRST HOME, MY FIRST IFTAR” TO EARTHQUAKE SURVIVORS
The President of the Organization, Ahmet Büyükgümüş, announced that special programs will be held for the earthquake region during Ramadan. Within the scope of the “My first home, my first iftar” program, iftar dinners will be organized with earthquake-affected families who have found their new homes. Deputies will attend 5 iftars and non-deputy members of the organization will attend 10 iftars and establish one-on-one contact with citizens throughout Ramadan.

BREAKING NEWS | Message from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to Özgür Özel: There is no by-election, during election time
Breaking news: MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli made a statement at his party’s group meeting. Devlet Bahçeli, reacting to the US/Israeli attacks on Iran and Lebanon, noted that the World Peace Council should be established. Noting that Türkiye is ready to undertake responsibility for peace, Bahçeli also gave important messages regarding the goal of a Terror-Free Türkiye.
Breaking news… MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli spoke at his party’s group meeting. MHP leader Bahçeli said, “The losses of life in the air attack carried out by the Israeli army on Lebanon show that the zionist plans do not intend to leave Lebanese territory.” he said. Bahçeli also responded to Özgür Özel’s midterm election remarks. Bahçeli noted that there will be no by-elections and that the elections will be held on time.
Highlights from Bahçeli’s statements:
Trump’s statement that they accepted a 2-week ceasefire on the condition of opening Hormuz, but his declaration that the war objectives were achieved showed that the crisis was brought to the table. The silence of the guns is an intermediate phase. The guns fell silent temporarily, but the scores were not settled.
LEBANON REACTION TO ISRAEL
Israel violates Lebanon’s territorial integrity. While there is a temporary pause on the Iranian front, the Lebanese front is kept open. The losses of life in the air attack carried out by the Israeli army on Lebanon show that the Zionist groups do not intend to leave Lebanese territory.
“WORLD PEACE COUNCIL SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED”
The inconclusive talks in Islamabad have further strengthened the possibility that the conflicts in the region will evolve into global destruction. Just as uncontrolled and unstoppable power competition and ambition for armament cause bombs to explode in the Middle East today, it will also pave the way for greater destruction in the heart of Europe, the nodal points of Asia and the fragile basins of Africa tomorrow. Shaken by the global epidemic in 2020, humanity has been constantly thrown by the Ukraine-Russia war, the deterioration of trade security in the Red Sea and the Black Sea, the human tragedy in Gaza, the destruction in Lebanon, and the crises that broke out in Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia. In a world where India and Pakistan are facing each other on the Kashmir line, and where the Pakistan-Afghanistan tension has turned the lives of tens of thousands of people upside down in Pakistan today, it is a dangerous mistake to think that the fire will be limited to a single region. In such a period when the possibility of World War II is more pronounced, the immediate implementation of a World Peace Council mechanism, under the leadership of the United Nations Secretary-General Guterres, with the participation of the USA, the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, Turkey and the European Union, is a historical obligation on behalf of humanity.
“Türkiye IS READY TO PUT IT UNDER THE STONE”
It is now inevitable for the manifestation of a new global will based on justice, balance and equity, not the ambivalent understandings that carry the word peace but actually expand the war. Türkiye is ready to take responsibility with the responsibility imposed by its history and the mission determined by its geography. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s maxim “Peace at home, peace in the world” will determine the route of every step we will take today, as it did yesterday, and the direction of all the roads we will walk.

Breaking news: Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu sentenced to 11 months and 20 days in prison
Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was sentenced to 11 months and 20 days in prison in Mersin, on the grounds that he insulted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his term as prime minister in 2013.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu did not attend the hearing at Mersin 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance, but his lawyer attended from Ankara via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS).
In his opinion on the merits, the public prosecutor offered an opinion that Kılıçdaroğlu should be punished for “insulting a public official”.
At the hearing, Kılıçdaroğlu’s written defense, submitted to the court through his lawyer, was read.
The judge, who listened to the statements, ruled that Kılıçdaroğlu should be imprisoned for 11 months and 20 days on the charge of “insulting a public official” for his remarks against Erdoğan in 2013. The judge decided to postpone the announcement of the verdict in question.
A lawsuit was filed against former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for “insulting a public official” on the grounds that he insulted Erdoğan in his speeches at various rallies in Mersin, and it was decided to combine the file containing accusations against Kılıçdaroğlu’s similar statements at the Ankara rally in 2013 with the case in Mersin.
