We will protect the spirit of Çanakkale – Last Minute News
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements about the Çanakkale Naval Victory and the work done in the field of education in his speech at the “Education Family Iftar Program”. Erdoğan briefly made the following statements in the program held at Beştepe Nation Exhibition Hall:
I congratulate our teachers who work with love in each of our 81 provinces and 922 districts. As we entered Ramadan, our prayer was always saying, ‘O Lord, bring us together to Eid al-Fitr, just as you brought us to Ramadan.’ Now we say goodbye to Ramadan. I hope the Eid brings blessings to all our brothers and the Islamic world.

ÇANAKKALE CANNOT BE PASSED
Anatolia is the name of the blessed land that gave martyrs from every hearth and every family. Every inch of our beloved homeland is Conkbayırı, Gallipoli, Çanakkale. Everyone knows that Çanakkale is impassable. Hopefully, Çanakkale will be the brightest symbol of the Turkish nation’s passion for freedom, indestructible will and struggle for existence as long as the world continues. Çanakkale is the biggest witness that Türkiye is not just 783 thousand square kilometers.
Çanakkale is the legacy, an epic, left to us by the lions who have the same heart as the lions of Bedr, that blessed generation that Akif calls “Asım’s Generation”. It is one of the golden rings of the chain of victories. While the Battle of Gallipoli is an epic heroic story, it is also a dramatic story. Çanakkale Folk Song is the folk song of young men whose mustaches have not yet grown. Between 1914 and 1918, all of the students of Kastamonu Abdurrahmanpaşa High School, Istanbul High School, Yozgat High School, Balıkesir High School and Kayseri High School could not graduate because they were martyred in Çanakkale.
Our national poet Akif expresses this bitter truth when he says, “If you squeeze the soil, it will gush out, shuheda.” When he says “O Lord, what suns set for the sake of a crescent”, he is not just chanting one of the most beautiful lines of Turkish poetry. It also shouts out the epic of the young people who are the sun of hope of our beloved nation. Until our last breath, we will not forget the struggle of those who made these lands our homeland, and we will protect the spirit of Çanakkale.

NO TOLERANCE FOR VIOLENCE IN EDUCATION
We have given importance and priority to education since the day we took office. The lever that will take Türkiye above the level of contemporary civilizations is undoubtedly a qualified, national education system that has captured the spirit of the time. We have come a long way on this path in the last 23 years. Every year, we allocated the lion’s share of the budget to education.
We have placed our work on a more comprehensive basis with the “Türkiye Century Education Model”, which we have implemented with the motto “From Roots to the Future”. In our culture, the person whose hand is kissed after the mother and father is the teacher. The hand raised against the teacher is raised against our future. We do not, cannot and will never tolerate violence against our teachers. We are determinedly addressing the problem of violence.

PRAISE FOR PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN FROM THE IMAMI OF MASCID-I AQSA
Sheikh Ikrime Sabri, the Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the President of the Supreme Islamic Council of Jerusalem, praised the attitudes of President Erdogan and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim against Israeli practices towards the Al-Aqsa Mosque. In his statement, Sabri stated that the two leaders were among the first leaders to oppose blocking the entrance to Al-Aqsa and praised their attitude. Meanwhile, Erdoğan discussed bilateral relations and developments in the Middle East in his telephone conversation with the Sultan of Oman Heysem Bin Tarık yesterday.

Our only concern is Türkiye – Breaking News
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements about the agenda after the Cabinet Meeting, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours. Erdoğan briefly made the following statements: We completed our 65th cabinet meeting, where we discussed regional developments, traffic safety, the current economic situation and the Terror-Free Türkiye process. At our meeting, we made decisions that will accelerate our country’s journey of development, justice and democracy.
SERIOUS BREAKS ARE EXPERIENCED: There are serious breaks in the world and in our region, both politically, economically and diplomatically. We see that the borders in our geography are wanted to be drawn again with blood and tears. From Gaza to Lebanon, from Yemen to Sudan, we encounter different scenes of the same game. While we are trying to disrupt these games, we are also struggling to strengthen our 23-year gains.
CRITICAL THRESHOLDS: Today, thank God, there is a strong Türkiye in diplomacy. There is a Türkiye that writes epic in the defense industry. Türkiye has a voice and influence in the economy, energy and trade. There is Turkey, an “island of stability” in the midst of regional tensions. Behind these lies the prayers and support of our nation, as well as the fact that experienced, astute and visionary staff have been at work in Türkiye for 23 years. We can all clearly understand the value of this when we look at the crises that erupt every day. Even though some people have buried their heads in the sand, our citizens see what critical thresholds Türkiye has passed.

WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO FIGHT: As the government and the alliance, we are aware that we have assumed a historical responsibility at a time when historical changes are taking place. Ours; We have no time for anger, fights and polemics. We do not have the luxury of responding to every taunt. We have only one problem, and that is Turkey; It is the construction of the Türkiye Century. We do not want to “play words” with others; We are in a race to prepare a brighter future for our beloved nation, whose sacred trust we bear. None of the debates within the main opposition party concern us. We are not, have not been and will not be anywhere in this political and legal struggle that has spilled from the congress halls to the court corridors.
NO ROOM FOR VIOLENCE OR PROMOTION: Those who try to create unrest for their political gain should not forget that; The nature of these lands does not favor violence, demonstrations, street terror and lawlessness. We will not allow our streets to be disrupted, our nation to be polarized, or our people to be pitted against our security officers.
MEETING ON COMMON GROUND: In such a sensitive period, no one has the right to distract Türkiye or disrupt the harmony of our nation. Our country does not need new-style boat fights, but rather meeting on common ground, reaching an agreement and joining forces on issues that concern 86 million people, especially our Terror-Free Türkiye process. To handle the terrorism-free Türkiye process away from all kinds of polemics; It is the duty of the political institution to sincerely contribute to solution efforts. We, as the government and the alliance, will take care to be constructive, inclusive and unifying from now on, as we have been until today. While doing this, we will prioritize our nation’s interests and continue to prioritize Türkiye’s future above all political considerations.

HUGE INVESTMENT IN TRANSPORTATION
When we took office, we did not have a strong transportation network connecting all parts of Türkiye. Today, we have a huge transportation infrastructure stretching from east to west, north to south of our country. With the motto “Road is civilization”, we have made huge investments in our country’s transportation infrastructure in the last 23 years. We have invested 206 billion dollars in highways, 80 billion dollars in railways, and 35.5 billion dollars in airlines. Thanks to our investments, the length of our divided road, which was 6 thousand 101 kilometers in 2002, has increased to 30 thousand 51 kilometers today.
ISTANBUL AIRPORT BREAKED A RECORD
By making the airline “the people’s way”, we have made available to our nation opportunities that were once only available to the elite. While we had 26 airports in 2002, we now serve approximately 250 million passengers annually with our 58 airports. Our Istanbul Airport, which was destroyed by wandering vandals 13 years ago to prevent it from being built, is today considered one of the most prestigious airports in the world. Our airport, where travelers say “No planes land here”, broke a record with 1730 plane traffic yesterday.

WHILE SOMEONE PRODUCED WORDS, WE PRODUCED JOBS
While some people are just making talk, we have produced work, produced services, and implemented vision projects that will change the face of Türkiye for 23 years. We will continue our investments in the field of transportation without slowing down. Our goal for 2026 is; To offer a total of 188 projects, 144 of which are highways, to the benefit of our people. We have especially accelerated our work on the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway, which will connect 42 cities. Hopefully, we will put this project, which is 120 kilometers long, including 7 intersections, 4 tunnels, 8 viaducts and 22 intersection bridges, into service next year.
IT WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE ISTANBUL WITH GIANT PROJECTS
Although it is still difficult to accept the Byzantine remnants that litter the walls of Istanbul with the inscriptions “The oppression began in 1453”, Istanbul is Turkish and Muslim; With God’s permission, they will remain Turks and Muslims until the end of time. We will never allow Istanbul to be separated from the spirit of conquest and Conqueror. This beloved city; He will not leave himself at the mercy of incompetent people who do not know business, who do not know history, who do not appreciate value; We will continue to serve Istanbul, invest in this beautiful city, and undertake giant projects that suit Istanbul.

BREAKING NEWS! Important statements from President Erdoğan after the Cabinet Meeting: We have only one problem, and that is Türkiye
“WE INCREASE TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENTS”
Thanks to these investments, waste of time and fuel was prevented and additional added value was produced in many sectors. We will continue these investments without slowing down. Our goal for 2026 is to put 188 projects into service.
“WITH THE CONQUEST OF ISTANBUL, HEARTS WERE CONQUERED TOO”
A new era in history does not begin with the capture of a city. In reality, it is the conquest of souls and hearts along with the conquest of a city. Hearts were conquered when Istanbul was liberated from the Byzantine occupation. Hagia Sophia also became the symbol of conquest. Hagia Sophia, which was full of tears and mourning for years, has regained its distinguished place in our civilization as a sacred banner. After 86 years of hijra, we broke the chains of Hagia Sophia, entrusted to us by Mehmet the Conqueror.
Even though Byzantium has difficulty accepting its remnants, Istanbul is Turkish and will remain Turkish and Muslim until the end of time. We will not leave this beloved city to the mercy of the incompetent, and we will continue to invest in this beautiful city and undertake giant projects.
“THERE IS A Türkiye AS AN ISLAND OF STABILITY IN THE MIDST OF REGIONAL TENSIONS”
In our geography, we encounter different scenes of the same game. There is a Türkiye that writes epics in the defense industry, there is a Türkiye that has a voice and influence. In the midst of regional tensions, there is Türkiye, an island of stability.
Even though some people have buried their heads in the sand, we see which critical thresholds Türkiye has passed. As the government and the alliance, we are aware that we have assumed a historical responsibility in a period of historical changes. We don’t have time for anger and fighting. We have only one problem and that is Turkey.
It is the construction of the Türkiye Century.
Those who try to create unrest for their political gain should not forget that the nature of these lands does not favor violence and street terrorism. “We will continue on our way by saying that we will all be Türkiye together.”

Breaking news: Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP Chairman after the absolute nullity of the court, started his duty. Thus, CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress was deemed invalid.
ACCOUNTS WILL BE EXAMINED ONE BY ONE
A new development took place within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that MASAK reports, bank account movements and SSI records regarding all delegates who voted in the congress that Özgür Özel won through corruption and their first-degree relatives, be sent from the relevant institutions.
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to the decision of the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice (BAM), the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP on 4-5 November 2023 and the Istanbul Provincial Congress on 8 October 2023 were canceled due to “absolute nullity” (absolute nullity).
The court also decided to annul the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023 and all decisions taken at this congress due to absolute nullity. It was stated that the provincial president and the provincial administration should continue their duties before the Istanbul Provincial Congress.
Another striking part of the decision was the provisional injunction decisions. It was stated that the plaintiffs’ requests for precautionary measures were accepted in the cases filed and consolidated in various civil courts of first instance in Ankara, and it was noted that Özgür Özel, who took office with the congress of 4-5 November 2023, the members of the Central Executive Board, the members of the Party Assembly and the members of the High Disciplinary Board were decided to be suspended from duty as a precautionary measure.

BREAKING NEWS | ‘Group meeting’ message from the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş: CHP must solve the problem with its own internal dynamics
Breaking news… Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, said, “The Grand National Assembly of Turkey cannot consider itself as a court. The Republican People’s Party must solve this issue within the framework of its own internal dynamics and institutional structure and eliminate the problem. We will write to the CHP Chairman to resolve this contradiction and demand this issue.” he said.
Kurtulmuş answered journalists’ questions on the plane before his official visit to Finland.
When a journalist asked about the absolute nullity decision of the appeal regarding the CHP and what happened afterwards, Kurtulmuş emphasized that there was no initiative that the Presidency of the Parliament would take regarding this issue.
Stating that the Presidency of the Assembly acts only according to the information received from the groups regarding the management of all groups, Kurtulmuş pointed out that this has been the case since the Assembly was established. Kurtulmuş said, “The Presidency of the Parliament is not a party to any intra-party or intra-group dispute, this is not its duty, this is not its duty. We are careful to protect this with sensitivity in accordance with the principle of impartiality of the Presidency of the Parliament.” he said.
Stating that they did what was necessary when they received the letter from CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu regarding the absolute nullity decision, Kurtulmuş said that they registered Kılıçdaroğlu as the Chairman of the Republican People’s Party in the Parliament records.
Reminding that they accepted the letter regarding Özgür Özel’s Group Chairmanship, following a group meeting held in accordance with the internal regulations of the CHP Group, Kurtulmuş said:
“Accordingly, we removed the Chairmanship sign on Mr. Ozel’s door and replaced it with the Group Chairman sign. We, as the Presidency of the Parliament, have to act within the framework of the letters we received. If there is a contradiction in these letters, which seems to be the case, the place to resolve this contradiction is not the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey cannot treat itself as a court. The Republican People’s Party must solve this issue within the framework of its own internal dynamics and institutional structure and eliminate the problem. We will write to the CHP Chairmanship to request that this contradiction be resolved. In future discussions and contradictions, the Presidency of the Parliament does not have the authority to take any action ex officio, nor is it its duty.”
When a journalist asked when they would send the article, Kurtulmuş stated that they would send the article to the CHP Chairman as soon as possible.
When asked about the statements of CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel regarding the CHP Group Meeting to be held tomorrow, Kurtulmuş said that there are 6 political party groups in the Parliament, and that no political party has or will have the slightest involvement in how the Parliament group will function and how it will make decisions. Kurtulmuş said, “Therefore, how the Parliamentary group will convene is determined within the framework of each party’s own group internal regulations. This is not an issue for the Presidency of the Parliament to say, ‘No, not like that, do it this way’. I hope this problem will be solved as soon as possible.” he said.
On the question of whether TBMM TV will broadcast the group meeting if Özgür Özel holds a group meeting, Kurtulmuş said that if the group meeting is held duly, TBMM TV broadcasts every group.
“Isn’t it the Presidency of the Parliament that will inspect whether this is in accordance with the procedure or not?” On the question, Kurtulmuş said, “I mentioned the two letters I received. There is a contradiction between the two. A letter was written to the Chairman of the Republican People’s Party regarding the resolution of the contradiction.” he replied.
“WE MUST NOT FALL BEHIND THE BROAD AGREEMENT CREATED BY THE PARTIES”
Recalling the Terror-Free Türkiye process, a journalist asked, “Pervin Buldan explained, do you have any concerns that this division will be reflected in the Parliament in such a legal regulation process?” Upon the question, Kurtulmuş said that he hoped that they would not reflect this fight and division within the party on a very important, national issue such as ending terrorism, which was the most important problem of the first century of the Republic of Turkey.
Kurtulmuş said, “We carried out the commission work, but as the Speaker of the Parliament and the President of the Commission, I paid careful attention to this: We made an extraordinary effort and made a great effort to ensure that all political parties openly expressed their opinions in the commission. It was not easy. While there is such an important gain, we should not lose it. We should not fall behind the broad consensus formed by the parties.” he said.
Upon a journalist’s question about the new constitution, Kurtulmuş emphasized that he sees the constitutional issue as Türkiye’s most important need. Kurtulmuş said, “I think this Parliament is more advantageous in terms of the possibility of making a constitution compared to the previous assemblies. Because no party has the power to make a constitution on its own. This means a political position that is open to negotiation. Ultimately, everyone has an idea of an ideal constitution. But I think a basis for compromise on what can be possible can emerge in the constitution-making process, as in the commission work. As long as everyone brings their opinion to the table with good will and sincerity.” he said.
“Is the time enough?” Answering the question “enough”, Kurtulmuş said to a journalist: “I say this because issues such as elections are talked about all the time.” Kurtulmuş said, “There is still more time for the election. I believe that the time is sufficient.” he said.
A journalist asked, “Are you getting any signals that a consensus could be formed regarding the Constitution?” Kurtulmuş said, “While this parliament has a positive atmosphere in terms of making a constitution and frankly has demonstrated a very important experience in the commission work, if it does not make a new constitution, the nation will not listen to the talk of a new constitution for a long time.” he said.
“Is this related to the fact that the DEM Party has taken positive steps?” Upon the question, Kurtulmuş said:
“I’m speaking generally, of course, each party has its own reserves, each party has its red lines. But ultimately, politics is not something like, ‘I have an ideal world in my mind, I will realize it.’ You can’t, that’s where the power of democracy lies. Whatever the environment is conducive to do and what the reasonable majority approves will happen. “I think that results can be achieved with the approval of this reasonable majority of the constitutional framework and negotiations in the areas allowed by politics.”

President Erdoğan sent a message to Baku Energy Week
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message to the opening of Baku Energy Week held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Erdoğan’s message was read by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar. Pointing out that the developments in the region show once again how accurate the steps taken with Azerbaijan in the field of energy are, President Erdoğan noted that they continue to successfully implement many mega projects, which are considered dreams for the region, together with Azerbaijan.
“OUR COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN HAS BEEN DEEPENED”
Referring to the projects such as “Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan”, “Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum” and TANAP pipeline, which they started with Azerbaijan and completed with the contributions of another friendly country, Georgia, President Erdoğan emphasized that the cooperation with Azerbaijan has further deepened through the “Azeri-Çırak-Güneşli” and “Şahdeniz” partnership.
Türkiye-AZERBAIJAN COOPERATION
Underlining that the new partnership between Turkey and Azerbaijan in “Şafak-Asiman” is almost a new proof that this cooperation continues unabated, President Erdoğan continued: “The ‘Iğdır-Nakhchivan pipeline’, which was put into service last year, has supported and reinforced the energy supply security of the Nakhchivan region. Electric connections between Turkey and Azerbaijan continue to be of strategic importance for us. Hopefully, between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Bulgaria.” “With the implementation of the ‘Green Electricity Transmission and Trade’ project, we hope to contribute to the energy security of our entire region.”
“THEY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY AND REGIONAL SECURITY ARE INDIJECTIVE”
In his message, President Erdoğan said, “Similarly, the contributions of the gas supply to Syria, which started as a result of the Turkey-Azerbaijan joint initiative last August, to the development of this country and to regional security are indisputable. We have great opportunities before us to develop our cooperation in the export of Turkmen gas through Azerbaijan and Turkey. We are witnessing the increasing use of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan line to deliver Kazakhstan’s natural resources to Western markets.” He included his statements.
“WE WILL REINFORCE OUR DETERMINATION WITH THE COP31 SUMMIT”
Pointing out that Turkey, as Turkey, has a vision to ensure efficiency in all dimensions of energy, including renewable and green energy, based on efficiency and respect for the environment, President Erdoğan said: “We will reinforce our determination to be one of the leading and exemplary countries in global climate action with the COP31 Summit that we will host in Antalya on November 9-20 this year. With these thoughts, I hope that Baku Energy Week will be beneficial for our countries and region.”
