Saadet Teke (56), whose house was heavily damaged in the February 6 earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and was destroyed, started a new life with her family in new residences built in Azerbaijan District. Teke, who warmed people’s hearts with her preparations for the upcoming Eid, sewed a holiday dress for her grandchild with her own hands for their first Eid in their new home.

Stating that their new flats are safe and useful, Teke said, “There was a magnitude 5 earthquake recently, we did not even feel it. We will have our first holiday in our new house. Let there be no pain and sadness in these lands, let it always be a holiday.”

Stating that their houses, which were heavily damaged in the earthquake, were destroyed, Saadet Teke said that they experienced the peace of settling in new houses that were completed in a short time. Stating that 2+1 flats are safe and useful, Teke said, “There was a magnitude 5 earthquake recently, but we did not even feel it. We sleep more comfortably now.”

Saying that the most meaningful part of the holiday rush was the dress she prepared for her grandson, Saadet Teke said, “We will have our first holiday in our new house. I started sewing a holiday dress for my grandson. It is worth everything to see him happy.” Stating that she prepared her son’s clothes herself, Teke said that she had a sweet holiday excitement by sewing at home. Stating that they are preparing for the holiday with new hopes in their new home, Saadet Teke said, “Let there be no pain and sadness in these lands, let it always be a holiday. With the rapid intervention of the state, our houses were built and delivered to us in such a short time. May God bless everyone who contributed.”

Ministers Tekin and Çiftçi were welcomed with great interest from the citizens at the program held at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center. The Ministers greeted the citizens at the table one by one and then broke their fast among the citizens after the adhan was recited.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, in his speech here, said that they experienced this month of Ramadan in a completely different way.
