“Ahde Vefa Iftar and Eid Celebration Program” was held in Erzurum
Ministers Tekin and Çiftçi were welcomed with great interest from the citizens at the program held at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center. The Ministers greeted the citizens at the table one by one and then broke their fast among the citizens after the adhan was recited.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, in his speech here, said that they experienced this month of Ramadan in a completely different way. Referring to the activities held in schools during Ramadan, Tekin said, “We all experienced a month of Ramadan together, where our children played games with hymns in our schools, our children presented examples of our past, traditions, national and spiritual values in our schools, our children helped the poor on the streets, visited tradesmen, distributed pita bread, visited the elderly, and cooperation and solidarity reached the highest level. I am our President Recep Tayyip, who stood behind us in our fight against those who could not bear this during this process.” “I would like to thank Erdoğan, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, our other Minister friends in the Council of Ministers, political parties, MPs and most importantly, our nation.” he said.

Stating that they draw strength from the people who stand behind them, Tekin continued: “As long as you exist, as long as you stand behind us, people who insult our traditions and us will become extinct. I believe that as long as you stand behind us in this way, those who insult our values, define our values as Talibanization, and define us as a perverted reactionary minority will become extinct. I believe that our children will be under this flag as a nation that holds us together, regardless of political party, fasting or not, regardless of religious or ethnic discrimination.” We want our children to learn the values that enable us to live as a community that will be an example to the world. We want our children to teach these values to their own children, so that if, God forbid, something happens to this country or this nation that requires us to wage a War of Independence again, or if major disasters like February 6 happen, our children will learn our unity and solidarity, our feelings of solidarity, which will be an example to the world. We make an effort to ensure that future generations can learn about this, to everyone who supported us in this process, but especially to our students who participated in these events. “I would like to thank our teachers who organized these events and the parents who encouraged their children to participate in these events.”

Reminding that he met with the President and teachers at the iftar program yesterday, Tekin said, “I would like to convey special greetings to my fellow citizens and brothers from Erzurum who have supported him since our esteemed President entered politics. Our esteemed President, our People’s Alliance is standing tall thanks to Erzurum, thanks to our citizens who have national and spiritual values like Erzurum. Our enemies are terrified because we are standing tall. People who cooperate with our enemies are angry and disturbed. We are all united and united together.” I say that we will continue to defeat enemies in unity. I congratulate you on your holiday and wish you many healthy holidays.” he said.
Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi expressed his happiness to come together at the iftar organized by AK Party Erzurum Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu and said, “They made it possible for us to meet with you and brought us together. We have fasted the last of Ramadan. Tomorrow, God willing, we will meet with the Eid al-Fitr. I congratulate all of you on Eid. May God bring you many holidays in health and well-being again and again. May God bring you the fasts we keep, the prayers we perform, May he accept all our prayers in his lodge.” he said.
Citing the period he served in Erzurum, Çiftçi said: “I served as Governor in your province for 2.5 years. I think we have achieved good services together with you. I received great support from our Minister of National Education during this period of my duty. May God bless him. We have always worked in harmony with our MP. We all increased our efforts to serve your province. We joined forces, we joined forces. I also thank our esteemed MPs. I did not have the opportunity to say goodbye when I left here. Today I want to say goodbye.” “I will be with you tomorrow to celebrate the holiday. I will go to Van from here. We have always worked together with our Metropolitan Mayor. I would like to thank him for his services and assistance. We cooperated well with our NGO representatives, public institutions, and all our citizens.”
Asking for prayers from the citizens, Çiftçi concluded his words as follows: “I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President for deeming me worthy of this position, which I have come to with his blessings and appreciation. I expect your blessings as I fulfill this honorable duty. Do not withhold your prayers from me. Again, I would like to thank everyone with whom we closely cooperated in our youth and women’s branches during my term of office. May God bless them all. I congratulate you all on Eid.”
After the speeches, Ministers Tekin and Çiftçi congratulated the citizens. AK Party Erzurum deputies Selami Altınok, Fatma Öncü, Abdurrahim Fırat, Mehmet Emin Öz, former AK Party Erzurum Deputy Mustafa Ilıcalı, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen, AK Party Erzurum Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu, MHP Provincial Chairman Adem Yurdagül, district mayors, NGO representatives and many citizens attended the program.

A COOPERATION PROTOCOL WAS SIGNED BETWEEN ZERO WASTE FOUNDATION AND ISO
At the meeting, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Zero Waste Foundation and ISO in order to popularize the zero waste approach in the industrial sector, increase resource and water efficiency in production processes and promote sustainable production practices.
The opening speech of the meeting held in Mekanule, where the role of circular business models in strategies to achieve the Zero Waste target was discussed, was made by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Istanbul Chamber of Industry Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan and Zero Waste Foundation President and COP31 High Level Climate Champion Samed Ağırbaş.

“AN ORGANIZATION OF A LARGE SIZE THAT MOST STATES CANNOT BUILD”
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated that the Zero Waste Foundation has organized an organization of a magnitude that most states cannot do in terms of its impact, with the Zero Waste Forum to be organized under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, and said, “You are industrialists. This zero waste issue is actually an issue that we will encounter in every field, from the production chain to the consumption chain. The participation of 183 countries in the Zero Waste Forum and the arrival of more than 120 ministers raises the brand of Türkiye and the brand value of our Istanbul. We can also do this as tourism.” “You can also evaluate it when the product produced by any of our industrialists in another part of the world is presented to the consumer,” he said.
“Türkiye IS A PIONEER IN THE WORLD IN ZERO WASTE”
Drawing attention to Türkiye’s leading role in the world in terms of zero waste, Governor Gül said, “We have always taken the criteria of other countries and other cities as an example until now. Our country has been accepted in this field with our Zero Waste Foundation. We would like to thank our President, the esteemed First Lady Erdoğan, who devoted all her time to this work, our President Samet, who is in the entire field of the business from a to z, and every Istanbulite, every citizen, and every stakeholder in the world who contributed to this work, and good luck.” “I wish it good luck,” he said.

“OUR INDUSTRY IS IMPORTANT TO US”
Samed Ağırbaş, President of the Zero Waste Foundation and COP31 High Level Climate Champion, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to our Governor of Istanbul, Mr. Davut Gül, and our President of the Chamber of Industry, Mr. Erdal Bahçıvan, for bringing us together today on this meaningful day. Our industry is important to us. As the Zero Waste Foundation, we work closely with our industry and merchants, and we have to work closely. Within the scope of Istanbul Zero Waste Week, more than 1500 events are held in 39 districts of Istanbul. These activities are carried out by civil society organizations. “We are doing this together with our social organizations, universities, municipalities, public institutions, non-governmental organizations and our citizens who want to have a say about the city,” he said.
“WE HAVE ACHIEVED SYNERGY WITH OUR CITIZENS OF ISTANBUL”
Emphasizing that the Zero Waste Foundation set out with common ground and common wisdom under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, Ağırbaş continued as follows:
“In this context, we carry out all our work in consultation with our citizens and sectors. We organize Turkey Zero Waste Environment and Climate Change Workshops in 81 provinces of Türkiye. We achieved a synergy with our 16 million citizens in Istanbul. There are climate weeks in the major cities of the world, New York, London and Paris. Last year, under the leadership of our Governor, we said that we will make Istanbul the global center of zero waste studies and in this context, we first declared Istanbul Zero Waste Week.” “We did.”
WE ARE STARTING SECTOR WORKSHOPS”
Stating that the Istanbul Chamber of Industry is the most important industrial organization of Türkiye, Ağırbaş said, “The members of this chamber of industry are among the important locomotives of this country’s economy, and as the Zero Waste Foundation, we will start sector workshops with our stakeholders, industrialists, producers and consumers, hopefully as of next month. We will listen to the problems of the sector with the workshops we will hold. We will convey the complaints of our citizens and our sector directly to the relevant authorities regarding the steps that need to be taken by the public.”
“WE REPEAT OUR PRESIDENT’S CALL FOR GLOBAL JUSTICE AT ALL MEETINGS”
Making evaluations about the Zero Waste Forum to be held on 5-7 June, Ağırbaş continued as follows:
The World Economic Forum (DAVOS), OECD, World Bank, United Nations and many international institutions you can think of are the main stakeholders of the Zero Waste Forum. Our Chamber of Industry is among the stakeholders of the Zero Waste Forum and our esteemed Chamber of Industry President will also be a speaker within the forum. Industrialists, business people and private sector representatives from 183 countries of the world will also attend the Zero Waste Forum. We have to achieve this synergy together.
We express our call for global justice, put forward under the leadership of our President, in all the meetings we attend, and we want to contribute to the future of the world with campaigns that will reduce food waste. And finally, I want to say this. “In a world where 8 million people die due to hunger and thirst, we can end the world hunger crisis if we can reduce food waste by only 20 percent.”

“THERE ARE 3 MAJOR CRISIS THAT PUSH THE LIMITS OF THE WORLD”
Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Istanbul Chamber of Industry; Stating that climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss are three major crises that push the boundaries of the world and affect each other, he said, “This multi-layered crisis requires the protection of our natural resources. In this context, one of the most critical issues on a global scale as humanity is the necessity of transforming our production and consumption habits. At this point, circular economy is not only an environmental choice, but has become an economic necessity to ensure sustainable development.”
“THE MODEL WHERE WASTE IS CONVERTED INTO VALUE HAS BECOME A STRATEGIC TRANSFORMATION AREA”
Stating that the model in which resources are used more efficiently, waste is transformed into value at every stage of production and the life cycle of products is extended, has also become a strategic transformation area that increases competitiveness in the industry, Bahçıvan continued as follows:
“When the Turkish industry focuses on the circular economy, it has the power to be among the winners of the transformation with its production capability, engineering infrastructure and entrepreneurial spirit. In order for this transformation to become widespread and permanent, we must transform scientific knowledge into production by increasing university-industry collaborations and R&D investments, and bring together innovative technology initiatives with the industry. We must also strengthen the digital and technical capacity of our HR structure with training and competency programs. In addition, increasing industrial symbiosis practices in which the waste of one facility is used as the raw material of the other will also contribute to the transformation.” will support the process.”
“COP31 IS A GREAT SOURCE OF PRIDE FOR US”
Referring to the 31st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31), which will be hosted and chaired by Türkiye in Antalya between 9-20 November 2026, Bahçıvan said, “COP31, which is a source of great pride and excitement for us, will allow us to share Türkiye’s vision, policy framework, responsibility in the fight against climate change, and perhaps most importantly, its power as the private sector, with the whole world. Istanbul is Türkiye’s showcase in every sense.” “Considering that this is the case, the work carried out in this process will create an application and awareness model and turn into a strong message that will make our country’s production power and the competencies of our industry visible in the international arena.”
“ZERO WASTE APPROACH IS THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENT OF SOCIAL RESILIENCE”
The Zero Waste approach is not only an environmental responsibility; Pointing out that it is also the fundamental element of economic competitiveness and social resilience, Bahçıvan said, “The Zero Waste Movement, which was initiated under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan and found response in 193 countries today, is the strongest evidence that Türkiye has become a global leader in the field of sustainability. The United Nations’ declaration of March 30 as International Zero Waste Day; beyond the registration of this leadership in the international arena, it is an expression that our country shapes global norms in this field.”
ZERO WASTE APPROACH WILL BE INTEGRATED IN CORPORATE STRUCTURES IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
With the protocol signed after the speeches, it is aimed to integrate the zero waste approach in the industrial sector more strongly into corporate structures, while concrete steps will be taken towards the efficient use of resources, reducing waste generation, and disseminating reuse and recycling practices. In addition, it is planned to develop circular business models in selected pilot industrial facilities, promote clean production technologies and present the results obtained to the sector as exemplary practices.
TRAINING PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS WILL BE HELD
Within the scope of the cooperation, training programs, workshops, seminars and technical capacity development activities will be carried out for the industrial sector under the headings of zero waste, circular economy, water efficiency and sustainability. The parties will also carry out joint work to develop new mechanisms that will increase the environmental performance of industrialists and strengthen information sharing in this field.
The planning, implementation and evaluation processes of joint activities will be managed together through the Steering Committee to be established within the framework of the protocol. The parties will act in cooperation in events to be held at national and international levels and support the dissemination of policies and practices that will contribute to the green transformation of the industry.
THE ZERO WASTE VISION WILL BE STRONGER VISIBLE ON AN INTERNATIONAL SCALE
Important topics of the cooperation include Zero Waste Week events, International Zero Waste Forum and COP31 preparations. The parties will jointly implement industry-focused panels, international meetings, good practice exhibitions, investor meetings and policy development studies on these platforms. Thus, it is aimed to make Türkiye’s vision in the fields of zero waste, sustainable production and circular economy more visible on an international scale.
AN IMPORTANT STEP TO ACCELERATE GREEN TRANSFORMATION
This cooperation protocol signed between the Zero Waste Foundation and the Istanbul Chamber of Industry is considered an important step in strengthening environmental responsibility in the industry and accelerating the green transformation, while contributing to Türkiye’s sustainable development goals.

Last Minute | Important statements from President Erdoğan: We do not tolerate waste of public property
Breaking news… President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “Starting from the May 27, 1960 coup, whose 66th anniversary passed last week, all anti-democratic interventions have caused billions of dollars of damage to this country, impoverished our people, and left Türkiye behind.” he said.
In his speech at the 164th Anniversary Ceremony held at the Court of Accounts, Erdoğan wished that the 164th anniversary of the Court of Accounts, one of the most established institutions of the state, would be beneficial for the country and the nation, especially the Court of Accounts family.
Stating that although the Court of Accounts was established on 29 May 1862 under the name of Divan-ı Muhasebat by the will of Sultan Abdülaziz Khan, its roots go back much further, Erdoğan said that the foundations of the Court of Accounts date back to the Divan-ı Israf institution, which fulfilled the duty of financial control in the states established in the past, from the Karakhanids to the Seljuks and Ghaznavids. he said.
Pointing out that they are talking about memory and institutional experience from a deep-rooted accumulation of almost 1200 years, Erdoğan continued as follows:
“In this respect, our Court of Accounts is an institution where the principle of continuity of our state is institutionally embodied. I congratulate our Court of Accounts, which carries out auditing, judicial and guidance activities to contribute to public accountability and financial transparency, and I wish success to its members. May God have mercy on our members of the Court of Accounts, who served their state and nation properly under this roof, closed the world book and passed on to the eternal world. I would like to express my gratitude to the retired members of the Court of Accounts, who have served in the Court of Accounts for many years, and who have set an example for the new members of this family with their knowledge, experience and, most importantly, their awareness of sacred responsibility. I wish great success to the current employees of the Court of Accounts, who have fulfilled their duties with a high level of consciousness and fully fulfilled the rich legacy they inherited from the past.”
Last Minute | Important statements from President Erdoğan: We do not tolerate waste of public property
“WELL MANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC FINANCES IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE”
President Erdoğan stated that, according to Ibn Khaldun, one of the greatest thinkers of civilization, it is necessary for humans to live in social order.
Emphasizing that the establishment and preservation of some institutions is essential for social life to function in a healthy way and to be able to transmit itself from generation to generation, Erdoğan said:
“The state is one of these institutions. The reason for the state is its existence, that is, its purpose of existence, first of all, it is justice, then it is security. At the last point, it is peace and security. Of course, this is also important, in our mind map, each of these concepts has been shaped by centering people and society. This is exactly why our ancestors, who saw justice as the basis of property, that is, the state, said ‘keep people alive so that the state can live’. Starting from this point, the power of states depends on both human capital and available resources. “It is of course impossible for states that cannot use their resources effectively and efficiently to be powerful and effective. For this reason, good management of public finances is of great importance.”
THE EFFECT OF GUARDIANNESS ON PUBLIC FINANCE
President Erdoğan said that Türkiye is a country that has suffered greatly from wastefulness, carelessness and populism in the past.
Explaining that they remember very well how the resources that the nation had raised tooth and nail were squandered, Erdoğan said:
“None of us have forgotten how the SSK was clearly ruined, how the banks were emptied, how the state’s treasury was siphoned off, and how the rentiers prospered from the people’s pockets. I would also like to say that, as well as the greedy and incompetent, one of those who dealt the biggest blow to public finances were the tutelaries. Starting from the coup of May 27, 1960, whose 66th anniversary was passed last week, all anti-democratic interventions have caused billions of dollars of damage to this country and our people. The cost of the 15 July bloody coup attempt, led by FETO, to the Turkish economy is more than 350 billion dollars. Even if the coup plotters who tried to usurp the national will were not successful, they stole thousands of dollars from the pockets of each of our citizens. The direct cost of the Gezi events, which was also a coup attempt, is 1.5 billion dollars, and these are taken into account when talking about the use of public resources for the benefit of the public. “I believe that the damage caused by tutelage attempts targeting the national will, whether through street incidents, FETO-like terrorist organizations or juntas, is unfortunately not discussed enough. Türkiye’s fight against all kinds of tutelage centers is also a fight to get rid of these burdens completely. Hopefully, when this fight is victorious, the economic recovery of our country will accelerate and the nation’s resources will flow more into the nation’s pockets.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “The scandals centered on local governments, which we have been following lately, sometimes with astonishment and sometimes with shame, can never be excused.” he said.
Erdoğan spoke at the 164th Establishment Anniversary Ceremony held at the Court of Accounts.
“Just as we see the defense of the national will as a duty of honor, we do not condone the wasting of public property, its exploitation by illegal and irregular means, and especially the attempt to gain success.” Using his statements, Erdoğan stated that their attitude and stance on this issue is very clear.
Erdoğan stated that each of the 86 million citizens has a right to public property, and that the orphans and orphans have a share, and said that Beytülmal is also the trust of future generations.
Erdoğan said, “Our red line is that all public personnel, regardless of their position, title, act sensitively when using resources.” he said.
Emphasizing that the resources allocated to public personnel due to their duty or position are not the property of anyone’s father, Erdoğan said, “No public servant can or should use this as his personal wallet, no matter what is written on his door. We cannot allow this. The recent scandals centered on local governments, which we have followed sometimes with astonishment and sometimes with shame, can never be excused. It is our duty to fight within the framework of the law and those who see the trust of the nation as plunder, no matter who they are. It is our duty to fight against those who see the trust of the nation as plunder. The highest tax they pay.” “Remember, we are all responsible for our 86 million citizens who expect it to be transformed into quality service.” made his assessment.
“MODERN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, A SYSTEM BASED ON TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY”
Erdoğan stated that his expectations from the Court of Accounts are, on the one hand, to protect the trust of the people through judicial and auditing activities, and on the other hand, to actively contribute to the construction of the Turkish Century with its guidance studies.
Stating that the need for the reports prepared by the Court of Accounts, taking into account the discretion of the administration, especially in the preparation of national strategies, is increasing day by day, Erdoğan stated that he believes that the Court of Accounts, which has the opportunity to see different institutions, processes and methods at the same time, will provide important services to the nation and the state for many years to come with a data-based, system-based and added value-oriented approach.
Pointing out that modern public administration is a transparent and accountable system in which citizens and the state communicate at eye level, Erdoğan said that the tighter, planned and result-oriented financial control in this system, the more efficient public services will be.
Erdoğan noted that the growth of the economy, the increase in the level of welfare, and the establishment of a climate of peace and trust in all areas are directly related to the management and supervision of public finances, and that the Court of Accounts plays a critical role here as well.
– “We ensured that our Court of Accounts renews itself as the supreme audit body”
Reminding that they have further expanded the scope of the Court of Accounts with the steps they have taken in the last 23 years, Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
“Especially with the law no. 6085 that we enacted in 2010, we transformed our Court of Accounts into a structure that responds to the needs of the 21st century and is shaped according to international standards. With this regulation, we enabled our Court of Accounts to renew itself as the supreme audit body and the supreme accounting judicial authority.
Thanks to the democratization reforms we implemented to strengthen the constitutional state of law, the Court of Accounts has the authority to audit institutions and organizations using public resources. The Court of Accounts has achieved a significant transformation in three areas that support each of them: digital audit, integration of new technologies into the system and dissemination of data analytics. “We find every effort to increase efficiency by eliminating bureaucratic processes that do not produce public benefit extremely valuable.”
Expressing their great satisfaction with the Association of Courts of Accounts of the Turkish States, which was established in Istanbul last November with the participation of the Courts of Accounts of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, Erdoğan stated that he believes that the union, of which Türkiye will be the term chairman for 3 years, will add a different dimension to the relations with the Turkish world.
Erdoğan noted that they will open the doors of a new era with the 13th Leaders Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be hosted by Türkiye in the autumn.
Erdoğan wished that the 164th anniversary of the Court of Accounts would be beneficial for the country and nation.

“The United States constantly pressures allies to increase defense spending and take greater responsibility for their own security. Europeans have gotten the message and have already taken steps to increase defense budgets within NATO. We will review the progress made when leaders meet.”
TURKEY SUPPORT TO NEGOTIATIONS!
Minister Fidan emphasized Türkiye’s support in the negotiations between the USA and Iran and underlined that both sides are making a “sincere” effort to extend the ceasefire.

It has been announced that detained CHP Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım and Turgut Koç, a businessman known for his closeness to Özgür Özel and Veli Ağbaba, will give new testimony today at Çağlayan Courthouse within the scope of the CHP 38th Ordinary Congress Investigation.

The developments in the CHP are progressing from a level that does not suit the institutionality of the CHP to a point that is harmful to our democracy. What is happening in CHP does not suit the political culture. Actions that will increase provocation should be avoided.

The USA is floundering badly because they reveal their weaknesses while issuing empty threats. The United States should stop providing unconditional support to Israel and apply political pressure. The Jerusalem Pact should be formed with Islamic countries and a new economic, political and military union should be established.
There is no reason why Türkiye should not play an active role in every step taken for global peace and tranquility.
