17 suspects were caught and detained within the scope of the “Corruption” investigation carried out against Silivri Municipality under the coordination of Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. It was stated that Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu was also detained. In searches made at the suspects’ addresses; 39 thousand 500 dollars, 12 thousand 280 euros, 182 thousand 400 Turkish Liras, 115 grams of gold, 36 Ata Liras, 25 quarter gold coins, 5 half gold coins and 5 full gold coins, which were considered to have been obtained from crime, were seized. Within the scope of the investigation; It was stated that allegations that some works and transactions within the Silivri Municipality were used for profit purposes, and that there were irregularities in the recruitment of personnel to the municipality, business transfer and rental, zoning, license, settlement, sealing, illegal construction, asset acquisition and municipal real estate sales processes were investigated. In the examinations and findings; It was determined that a public loss of 21 million 522 thousand 717 liras and 40 kuruş was caused by the sale of a municipality’s non-registered/parking area property at a low price. It was claimed that Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, who is at the center of the allegations, bought a villa for approximately 40 million TL from an unknown source and lived a luxurious life after taking office.

The “128 billion dollars” slander that the opposition has been carrying out for a long time, targeting former Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak, has been completely invalidated by the successive decisions of the judicial bodies. Following the Istanbul Anatolian 29th Civil Court of First Instance and the Regional Court of Justice, the Constitutional Court also put the final point. The Supreme Court stated that CHP’s claims were not based on any concrete evidence and factual basis, and ruled that there was no violation of rights in the compensation decision given in favor of former Minister Albayrak. After the CHP’s lie collapsed, a statement was published signed by Berat Albayrak’s representative, Lawyer İsa Sinan Göktaş. It was reminded that CHP was sentenced to pay compensation as a result of the lawsuit filed after the slander against Albayrak, and the compensation collected was donated to the Turkish Martyrs’ Relatives and Veterans Solidarity Foundation.

One of the striking headlines in the statement was Berat Albayrak’s strategic move, gold reserves. While old cement applications that damaged the structure were cleaned, reinforcements were made on the main dome, minarets and all static systems. From the entrance gate to the muezzin’s gallery, from the mihrab tiles to the woodwork, we have not left a single spot untouched, restored, cleaned or strengthened, so to speak. We hope to put this project, two-thirds of which we have completed, into service in 2027. We plan to complete the Çömlekköy Dam project in 2028.

The Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) published the 2026 Main Decree on Judicial and Administrative Jurisdiction.
