Başkan Erdoğan’dan Özgür Özel’e ‘Stockholm sendromu’ tepkisi: Kürt kardeşim cellatı çok iyi bilir
Başkan ve AK Parti Genel Başkanı Erdoğan, partisinin TBMM Grup Toplantısı’nda önemli açıklamalarda bulundu. Yılın üçüncü çeyrek verilerinin açıklanmaya başladığını hatırlatarak konuşmasına başlayan Erdoğan, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) tarafından paylaşılan ilk 9 aylık turizm istatistiklerine dikkati çekti.

Erdoğan, 2025 yılının ilk 9 ayında Türkiye’yi ziyaret eden kişi sayısının geçen yılın aynı dönemine kıyasla yüzde 1,6 artışla 49 milyon 993 bine yükseldiğini belirterek, “Turizm gelirlerinde ilk 3 çeyrekte 50 milyar doları yakaladık. Böylece tüm zamanların 3 çeyrek rekorunu kırmış olduk.” diye konuştu.
“OECD ÜLKELERİ ARASINDA DÖRDÜNCÜ SIRADA YER ALDIK”
Pazartesi günü açıklanan büyüme rakamlarının oldukça müspet olduğunu vurgulayan Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, “Ekonomimiz 21 çeyrektir kesintisiz sürdürdüğü büyüme trendini 2025’in üçüncü çeyreğinde de devam ettirmiştir. Türkiye ekonomisi üçüncü çeyrekte yıllık bazda yüzde 3,7 büyüyerek istikrarlı seyrini korumuştur. Bu oranla OECD ülkeleri arasında dördüncü, G20 ülkeleri arasında da beşinci sırada yer aldık.” ifadelerini kullandı.
Tarım sektöründe, zirai don ve kuraklık kaynaklı arzu edilmeyen bir küçülme yaşandığını dile getiren Erdoğan, bu yıl yağışların bol ve bereketli olmasıyla tarımın toparlanmasını beklediklerini ifade etti.
“MİLLİ GELİRİMİZ 1,5 TRİLYON DOLARI AŞTI”
Makine ve teçhizat yatırımlarındaki artışın üretime ilişkin umutları güçlendirdiğinin altını çizen Erdoğan, “Yıllıklandırılmış milli gelirimiz 1,5 trilyon doları aşmıştır. Büyüme rakamlarımız milletimiz için hayırlı, uğurlu olsun diyorum.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Erdoğan, şöyle devam etti;
Bir diğer önemli gelişme ülkemizin risk primindeki düşüştür. CDS’imiz 233 baz puana gerileyerek son 7 yılın en düşük seviyesine indi. Bu sabah kasım ayı enflasyon rakamları açıklandı. Orada da umutlarımızı artıran bir tabloyla karşılaştık. Buna göre kasım ayı enflasyonumuz 0,87 geldi. Temel mal enflasyonu yüzde 18’ler seviyesine indi. Hizmet enflasyonundaki düşüş ise sürüyor. Deprem konutları ve sosyal konut projelerimizle birlikte kira enflasyonunda hızlı bir gerileme bekliyoruz. Bu güzel haberlerin de ülkemize, milletimize hayırlı olmasını diliyorum.
“HEDEFLERİMİZDEN KOPMADIK VE KOPMUYORUZ”
Her zaman söylediğim gibi Türkiye’nin hedefi, rotası, izleyeceği güzergah bellidir. Bu hedef, 86 milyonun tamamının refahını kalıcı biçimde artırmaktır. Bu hedef, 2028 yılında 1,9 trilyon dolarlık bir ekonomik büyüklüğe ulaşmaktır. Bu hedef, gelecek 3 yıl içinde mal ihracatımızı 375 milyar dolara çıkarmaktır. Bu hedef, yine 3 yıl sonra turizmde 100 milyar dolar gelir elde etmektir. Bu hedef, ülkemize 2 trilyon dolar maliyeti olan terör belasına son vererek Türk ekonomisini şahlandırmaktır. Bölgemizdeki sıcak çatışmalara, küresel ekonomideki belirsizliklere, gümrük tarifeleri üzerinden alevlenen ticaret savaşlarına, Türkiye’nin önünü kesmek için türlü oyunlar çeviren melun ve meyyus odaklara rağmen; hamdolsun hedeflerimizden kopmadık ve kopmuyoruz.
Bizi cesur kılan, bizi her türlü badire karşısında güçlü ve dirençli kılan işte budur; hedeflerimize ulaşacağımıza olan sarsılmaz inancımızdır. Ekonomi başta olmak üzere her alanda daha aydınlık bir Türkiye’ye inşallah hep beraber vasıl olacağız. Bu ülkeye yeni bedeller ödetmeyecek, bedel ödetmek isteyenlere de geçit vermeyeceğiz. Suyu önce bulandırıp sonra da bulanık suda sazan avına çıkan simsarların oyunlarına gelmeyeceğiz. Elbette ekonomide rakamlar, oranlar, karşılaştırmalar önemlidir; ama asıl olan 86 milyonun topyekün düşüncesi, fikri ve kanaatidir. Asıl olan esnafın, tüccarın, emeklinin, emekçinin ne dediği, ne hissettiğidir. Bu süreçte sadece rakamlara, sadece oranlara bakmıyor; çarşıya, pazara, esnafa, tüccara, reel sektörün kalbinin attığı sanayi bölgelerimize de kulak veriyoruz. Reel sektörden gelen talep ve şikayetleri daima dikkatle dinledik, bugün de istişare hattımız en üst seviyededir.
“EMEKÇİ VE SANAYİCİMİZİN YANINDA OLACAĞIZ”
Kabine toplantımız sonrasında KOBİ’lerimizle ilgili yeni bir müjdemizi paylaştık. Geçen yıl emek yoğun üretim yapan tekstil, hazır giyim, deri ve mobilya sektörlerinde başlattığımız koruma programını devam ettiriyoruz. İstihdamını koruyan KOBİ’lerimize çalışan başına verdiğimiz aylık 2.500 liralık desteği, 2026 senesinde 3.500 liraya yükseltiyoruz. Büyük ölçekli firmalarımızı da dahil edeceğimiz yeni programla 1 milyon 100 bin istihdamı koruyacak emekçi ve sanayicimizin yanında olacağız. Yeni programımızın ekonomimize hayırlı olmasını diliyorum.
Son toplantımızdan bu yana uluslararası ilişkiler boyutunda oldukça yoğun bir mesaimiz oldu. Özellikle G-20 Liderler Zirvesi vesilesiyle bulunduğumuz Güney Afrika Cumhuriyeti’nde önemli temaslar gerçekleştirdik. Biliyorsunuz G-20 ülkeleri dünya ekonomisinin yüzde 85’ini, nüfusunun ise üçte ikisini temsil ediyor. Bu ülkeler gerek iktisadi güçleri, gerek dünya siyasetindeki ağırlıklarıyla küresel sorunlara çözüm arayışında ön plana çıkıyor. Biz de G-20’nin en aktif üyelerinden biri olarak çalışmalara gereken desteği veriyoruz. Johannesburg Zirvesi’nde de “Daha Adil Bir Dünya Mümkün” şiarıyla küresel sistemin yapılandırılmasına olan ihtiyacı dile getirdik.
Dünya genelinde her 10 kişiden biri hala aşırı yoksullukla mücadele ediyor. Dünyanın birçok ülkesine gittiğimizde şu ibretlik manzarayla sık sık karşılaşıyoruz: Bir yanda dünyanın en pahalı markalarıyla arz-ı endam eden bir avuç elit varken, diğer yanda günlük bir dolar gelirle hayata tutunmaya çalışan milyonları görüyoruz. Zengini daha zengin, fakiri daha fakir yapan mevcut düzenin sürdürülebilir olmadığının altını her zeminde çiziyoruz. G-20’de verdiğimiz mesajların, bilhassa Afrikalı kardeşlerimiz nezdinde memnuniyetle karşılandığını özellikle gördük. Türkiye, uluslararası platformlardaki dik ve dirayetli duruşuyla daha fazla takdir topluyor, çağrıları daha fazla makes buluyor.
“BİZ VİCDAN SAHİBİ BİR MİLLET VE DEVLETİZ”
Bunda elbette ülkemizin son 20 yılda kıtayla ilişkilerini geliştirmesinin büyük payı var. Son 20 yılda Afrika’daki büyükelçiliklerimizin sayısı 12’den 44’e çıktı. Afrika ülkelerinin Ankara’daki temsilcilikleri ise 10’dan 38’e yükseldi. Kıtayla ticaretimiz 20 senede 5 milyar dolardan 37 milyar dolar seviyelerine geldi; hedefimiz ise 50 milyar dolar. Doğrudan yatırımlarımız 10 milyar dolara ulaşırken, şirketlerimiz 97 milyar dolar değerinde 2 binden fazla proje üstlendi. Türk Hava Yolları’mız 41 ülkede 64 noktaya ulaşarak kıtanın en geniş uçuş ağına sahip firmalarından biri oldu. Türkiye Maarif Vakfı’na ait okullarımız 22 bin öğrenciye eğitim hizmeti veriyor. Türkiye mezunu öğrenciler kıtada artık bakan, büyükelçi, bürokrat, iş adamı, akademisyen olarak önemli görevlere geliyor. İnşallah çok daha iyi yerlerde olacağız.
Şunu burada bir kez daha belirtmek isterim: Afrika ve Afrika halkları bizim kardeşimizdir. Bu kardeşlik hukukunun gereklerini yerine getirmek bizim görevimizdir. Bu hukuka 20 yıl boyunca hiç gölge düşürmedik, inşallah düşürmeyeceğiz. Şunun da bilinmesinde fayda görüyorum; Biz her şeyden önce vicdan sahibi bir millet ve devletiz.
En yakınımızdan en ücra köşeye kadar ulaşabildiğimiz her yere, imkanlarımız ölçüsünde el uzatmak bizim için çekinilecek bir durum değildir. Tam tersine, Türkiye’nin alan el konumundan son 23 yılda veren el konumuna gelmesi, ülkemiz ve milletimiz adına bir kıvanç vesilesidir. Nasıl 103 bin tonu aşan insani yardımlarımızla Gazze’ye en fazla yardım gönderen ülkelerden biriysek; neredeyse tüm dünyanın derin bir sessizlikle izlediği Sudan’daki trajediye de en fazla hassasiyet gösteren biziz. AFAD’ımız, Kızılay’ımız, Türkiye Diyanet Vakfımız ve bu meseleyi dert edinen insani yardım vakıflarımız; tıpkı Gazze’de yaptıkları gibi Sudan’daki insani felaketi de hafifletmek için seferberlik ruhuyla koşturuyor. Akan kanın bir an önce durması, Sudan’ın daha fazla kaosa sürüklenmemesi için yoğun çaba içindeyiz. Büyük ülke olmak, büyük millet olmak neyi gerektiriyorsa inşallah içeride ve dışarıda biz işte bu tavır içerisinde olacağız.
2026 yılı Türkiye açısından kelimenin tam anlamıyla bir uluslararası zirveler yılı olacak. COP31 Zirvesi vesilesiyle 200’e yakın ülkeyi Antalya’mızda ağırlayacağız. Temmuz ayında NATO Zirvesi’ni başkentimiz Ankara’da gerçekleştireceğiz. Türk Devletleri Teşkilatı’nın 13. Zirvesi’ne ülkemizde ev sahipliği yapacağız. 2026 senesi boyunca da Türkiye’nin itibarına itibar katmayı sürdüreceğiz. Namık Kemal bizim iç siyasette hizmet odaklı, dış siyasette vicdan eksenli politikamızı bakın nasıl anlatıyor, “Usanmaz kendini insan bilenler halka hizmetten, Mürüvvet-mend olan mazluma el çekmez ianetten.” Günümüz Türkçesiyle ifade edecek olursak şöyle diyor: Kendini insan bilenler halka hizmetten usanmaz. Mert olanlar ezilenlere yardımdan el çekmez.
Gelecek nesillere bizim devraldığımızdan daha ileri bir ekonomi, daha güçlü bir demokrasi, daha caydırıcı bir savunma sanayi, daha itibarlı bir dış politika, daha iyi hizmet üreten bir bürokrasi teslim etmek amacıyla dur durak bilmeden çalışıyoruz. İstiyoruz ki yarın veya ertesi gün değil, bizden 40-50 sene, hatta bir asır sonra bile hayırla, şükranla, minnetle yad edilen eserler bırakalım. İstiyoruz ki çocuklarımıza her alanda müreffeh ve muzaffer bir ülke emanet edelim. İstiyoruz ki gençlerimize demokrasi standartları, hukuk standartları, yaşam standartları çok yüksek bir Türkiye teslim edelim. İstiyoruz ki yıllardır halının altına süpürülmüş sorunları çözelim, Türkiye Yüzyılı’nın inşasının önündeki büyük küçük bütün engelleri kaldıralım. Bizim yegâne niyetimiz budur; bizim siyasette varlık gayemiz budur.
“Bize gölge etmeyin, o bize yeter”
İşte geçtiğimiz günlerde savunma sanayiimizde küresel bir başarıya daha imza attık. KIZILELMA adını verdiğimiz insansız savaş uçağımız, Murat isimli radarımızla tespit edilen bir savaş uçağını Gökdoğan isimli füzemizle havadan havaya tam isabetle vurmayı başardı. Böylece Kızılelma, havadan havaya görüş ötesi hedefi vurabilen ilk insansız savaş uçağı oldu. Türkiye, hava savunmasında çok stratejik bir imkâna sahip olma yolunda ciddi bir üstünlük elde etti. Milletimize bu gururu yaşatan tüm kurumlarımıza, bilim insanlarımıza, çalışanlara ve özel sektörümüze ülkem ve milletim adına samimi tebriklerimi iletiyorum. Bu arada testler Sinop’ta yapıldı; bu küresel başarıya Sinop’ta ulaşıldı. Biliyorsunuz CHP Genel Başkanı bu testleri, “Sinop’ta balıklar rahatsız oluyor” diyerek eleştirmişti. Biz ona yine Sinoplu Diyojen’in o meşhur sözüyle cevap verelim: “Gölge etme, başka ihsan istemez.” Siz gidin kurultay üstüne kurultay yapın. Siz gidin kendi iç meselelerinizle uğraşın. Siz gidin gırtlağınıza kadar battığınız pisliklerden arının. Siz gidin önce içinizdeki yolsuzluk yapanları ayıklayın. Bize gölge etmeyin, o bize yeter.
“Kürt kardeşim kimin cellat olduğunu çok iyi bilir”
Şimdi çıkmış, artık ismini bile duymaya tahammül edemedikleri selefi Kılıçdaroğlu gibi birilerini cellat olmakla itham ediyor. Neymiş? DEM Parti’nin terörsüz Türkiye sürecine katkı vermesi Stockholm sendromuymuş; yani celladına aşık olmakmış. İnsanda biraz utanma olur, mahcubiyet olur. Hadi Türkiye’yi bilmiyorsun, hadi dış politikadan haberin yok, hadi ekonomide elifi görsen mertek zannedersin; insan bari kendi geçmişini bilir, kendi kara sicilini bilir. Şimdi bu beyefendiye sormak lazım: Ya sen ömrün boyunca hiç mi CHP’nin utanç lekeleriyle dolu tarihini okumadın? Tek parti faşizminin bu millete neler yaşattığını hiç mi öğrenmedin? Sen kimin cellat, kimin mağdur olduğunu bilmiyor olabilirsin ama benim Kürt kardeşim kimin cellat olduğunu çok iyi bilir. Şurada Ulus Meydanı’nda, İstiklal Mahkemeleri’nde alelacele kararlar alıp darağaçlarında iskemleyi kimin devirdiğini milletim gayet iyi bilir. Mesut Barzani’nin ofisinden MHP Genel Başkanı Devlet Bahçeli’nin sözlerine yönelik yapılan açıklamayı eleştiren Erdoğan, “İttifak ortağımız MHP Genel Başkanı Sayın Devlet Bahçeli’yi hedef alan dünkü saygısız ve hadsiz açıklamaları asla tasvip etmediğimizi, kabul edilemez bulduğumuzu burada ifade etmek isterim.” sözlerini sarf etti.
Gerek Parti Sözcüsü Ömer Çelik’in gerekse Dışişleri Bakanlığının konuya dair rahatsızlıkları açıkça dile getirdiğini, gerekli diplomatik adımların atıldığını, izahat yapılmasının istendiğini belirten Erdoğan, “Bu vahim hatadan bir an önce dönülmeli ve düzeltilmelidir.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Bundan sonra “Terörsüz Türkiye” sürecinin biraz daha ivme kazanmasını ümit ettiklerini dile getiren Erdoğan, konuşmasını şöyle sürdürdü:
“İyimser konuşurken 23 yıllık tecrübelerimizin ışığında elbette şu riskleri de göz ardı etmiyoruz, hedefe yaklaştıkça istismar mekanizmaları daha fazla devreye girecek. Terör bitince işsiz kalacak olanlar, bunu engellemek için daha fazla mesai yapacak. Türkiye’nin bu paslı prangadan kurtulmasını istemeyenler son ana kadar vazgeçmeyecek. Bunların tamamının farkındayız ve hepsine de hazırlıklıyız. İnancım ve samimi duam odur ki sorunları çözmek amacıyla milletimizin Gazi Meclisimize gönderdiği bütün milletvekillerimiz, hayati önemi haiz bu konuda bizimle aynı hissiyatı paylaşır, aynı hedefe yürür. Özellikle tarihi bir sorumluluk üstlenen Komisyonumuzun şimdiye kadar başarıyla yürüttüğü çalışmalarını bundan sonra da milletin ve memleketin menfaatlerini önceleyen bir anlayışla tekemmül ettireceğine inanıyorum. AK Parti olarak biz bugüne kadar olduğu gibi sorumluluk almaya, yapıcı ve ön açıcı olmaya devam edeceğiz.”
“ETKİ AJANLARI MİLLETİMİZİN HUZURUNU BOZMAK İÇİN YOĞUN GAYRET İÇİNDELER”
Erdoğan, ana muhalefetin eski yönetim, yeni yönetim ve paralel yönetim arasında giderek kızışan çatışmalarını örtmek, belediyelerde ortaya çıkan yolsuzluklarını perdelemek için topluma karamsarlık pompaladığını, umutsuzluk yaymaya çalıştığını çok net gördüklerini ve bildiklerini vurguladı.
Muhalefetin bu noktada yalnız olmadığını da anladıklarını kaydeden Erdoğan, “İçeride ya da dışarıda birtakım etki ajanları milletimizin huzurunu bozmak, milletimizi kutuplaştırmak, özellikle de gençlerimizi umutsuzluğa, karamsarlığa sevk etmek için yoğun gayret içindeler. Bir yandan tarihimizin en yıkıcı depreminin yaralarını sarıyoruz, bir yandan açılıştan açılışa koşuyoruz. Bir yandan ekonomiyi büyütüyoruz, diğer yandan savunma sanayinde küresel rekorlar kırıyoruz yani her alanda büyük bir atılım ve kalkınma seferberliği içindeyiz. Tabii bunları görmek için Türkiye’ye nereden baktığınız son derece önemli.” ifadesini kullandı.
Türkiye’ye başkalarının ellerine tutuşturduğu gözlüklerle bakanların her şeyi bulanık göreceklerini ancak Türkiye’ye kendi gözüyle ve gözlüğüyle bakanların her alanda yükselen, büyüyen, güçlenen, iddiaları, tezleri olan, ayakları yere sağlam basan özgüvenli bir Türkiye göreceklerini vurgulayan Erdoğan, bu toprakların 1000 yılı aşkın süredir Müslüman Türk hakimiyeti altında olduğunun, bu topraklarda isteyenin istediğine inanmakta özgür olduğunun, isteyenin kendi ibadethanesinde, kendi ibadetini yapmakta özgür olduğunun, bu toprakların hoşgörü toprağı olduğunun altını çizdi.
Üç kıtada hüküm süren, üç kıtada at koşturan cihan imparatorluğunun bakiyesi Selçuklu’nun, Osmanlı’nın devamı bir ülke olduklarını anlatan Erdoğan, 7 asır önce “Yaratılanı severim, Yaradan’dan ötürü” diyen Yunus Emre’nin sevgi diliyle konuştuklarını, “İnsanı yaşat ki devlet yaşasın” buyuran Şeyh Edebali’nin hikmet dolu tavsiyesinin izinden gittiklerini, tarihe ve ecdatlarına baktıklarında insan ve insanı merkeze alan bir devlet anlayışı gördüklerini belirtti.
“ONLAR CAMİLERİ YIKARKEN BİZ BURADA KİLİSELERİ TAMİR EDİYORUZ”
Avrupa’da zaman zaman birilerinin çıkıp, Türkiye’ye ve İslam ülkelerine dini azınlıklar üzerinden ders vermeye kalktığını söyleyen Erdoğan, şöyle devam etti:
“Oysa ki bu coğrafya en az 1000 yıldır kimi komşu devletler, 1400 yıldır kesintisiz İslam hakimiyeti altındadır. Bu coğrafyada Hristiyan var, Musevi var, Ermeni, Rum, Keldani, Ezidi, Süryani ve daha nice topluluk var. 1400 yıldır bu coğrafyada varlar ve özgürce ibadetlerini yerine getiriyorlar. Avrupa’da 1950’lere kadar bunun bir örneğini bulamazsınız, göremezsiniz. Bu topraklarda sayısı az ya da çok onlarca farklı inanış, asırlar boyu huzur içinde yaşamıştır ama Batı’da tarih boyunca bırakın azınlıkları, mezhepler üzerinden kan dökülmüş, milyonlarca insan kırıma uğramıştır. Bizimle Batı arasındaki en temel zihniyet farkı işte budur. Bizim kendimize güvenimiz tam. Onlar camileri yıkarken biz burada kiliseleri tamir ediyoruz çünkü bizim korkumuz yok. Biz kendimize güveniyoruz. Biz gücümüzün farkındayız. Biz devletlerden bir devlet, milletlerden bir millet değiliz. Biz inancımızla, kimliğimizle, ideallerimizle, 3 kıta, 7 iklimde düzen kurmuş Türk milletiyiz. Biz tarihiyle, vicdanıyla, merhametiyle, adaletiyle büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti’yiz.”
Önce kendilerine güveneceklerini ve özgüven sahibi olacaklarını kaydeden Erdoğan, bu milletin Allah’ın izniyle aşamayacağı hiçbir engelin olmadığını ifade etti.
AK Parti olarak kuruldukları günden itibaren korku üzerine değil, umut üzerine bir gelecek inşa etmenin mücadelesini verdiklerini dile getiren Erdoğan, “23 yıl boyunca hangi sorunu çözmek için elimizi uzatsak ‘aman bölünürüz, aman parçalanırız’ diye engel çıkardılar. 23 yıl boyunca hangi alanda kısıtlamaları, yasakları kaldırsak, özgürlükleri genişletsek, ‘aman geriye gideriz’ diye korku saldılar. Peki ne oldu? 23 yılda Türkiye bölündü mü, parçalandı mı, geriye gitti mi? Elbette hayır. Tam tersine, Türkiye büyüdü, güçlendi, bir ve beraber oldu, her alanda daha da ileriye gitti.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, “Kardeşlerim, unutmayın, önce zihinlerdeki prangaları kırıp atacağız, elimizi, kolumuzu bağlayan, ufkumuzu karartan, vizyonumuzu daraltan zincirlerden kurtulacağız. Önce biz kendimize inanacak, kendimize güvenecek, emin adımlarla geleceğe yürüyeceğiz. Milletimden medyada, sosyal medyada, siyasette her fırsatta, umutsuzluk, karamsarlık yayanlara, bütün bunlara karşı uyanık olmalarını istirham ediyorum.” dedi.
Gençleri sanal alemde kutuplaştıran, kamplaştıran, umutsuzluğa sevk eden yayınların nereden, kimler tarafından yapıldığını tek tek ortaya çıkardıklarının altını çizen Erdoğan, “Biri, Arap ülkesine yerleşmiş, oradan gençler arasında Arap düşmanlığını yaymaya çalışıyor. Biri, Amerika’ya yerleşmiş, oradan İstanbul’un gençlerini sokağa dökmeye çalışıyor. Biri, İsrail’den yayın yapıyor, burada kışkırtma yapıyor. Farklı maskeler altında hepsi aynı odağa hizmet ediyor. In his statement on his social media account, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli said, “We appreciate the efforts made by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres regarding the Cyprus issue since the beginning of his duty. In this period when there is still no common ground for a solution between the two parties on the island, we believe that focusing on progress in important areas of cooperation within the scope of the process initiated by Secretary General Guterres in 2025 will serve to build trust.” he said.

President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş: We must be able to introduce our children to our own civilization values
According to the statement made by the Diyanet, Arpaguş spoke at the Childhood Quran Teaching Workshop themed “Educational Activities for Children in Quran Courses: Evaluation and Future Perspective” organized by the General Directorate of Educational Services.
Stating that early childhood is the most critical phase in which a person’s identity, personality and character are shaped, Arpaguş said, “In this respect, we see Quran courses for ages 4-6 as not only a teaching process in which the skill of reading the Quran is acquired, but also as a strategic education area that aims to protect the child’s nature, support his spiritual and moral development, and contribute to the construction of a solid identity and personality.” made his assessment.
Drawing attention to the importance and sensitivity of childhood, Arpaguş continued as follows:
“We should measure our success in teaching the Quran not by how much students memorize, but by their ability to establish a relationship of love and trust with the Quran that will last a lifetime. What is more important than a child of four or five years old knowing all the letters is that he comes running to the Quran lesson. What is more valuable than memorizing long surahs for a child at that age is that he can learn the love of Allah in a compassion-centered way. Therefore, we measure our success criteria not only on the amount of memorization, recognition of letters or the level of applying the rules of tajwid, but also on participation in the lesson, desire to learn, social “We have to read through multidimensional indicators such as interaction and positive attitudes towards the Quran.”
Arpaguş stated that they aim to develop a Quran education model that brings together knowledge and wisdom and transforms it into morality, and said, “In order to bring our children together with our own civilization values, we have to develop a strong pedagogical approach centered on wisdom, as in the Islamic education tradition. When we can do this, we will achieve great success in Quran education and we will have come a long way towards raising faithful, knowledgeable, moral and personality generations.” he said.
Emphasizing that they are trying to make the most of the realities revealed by science and the possibilities and opportunities of the age in terms of preparing children for the future in the best possible way, Arpaguş said, “We are constantly trying to update our educational programs and course materials with the contributions of child psychologists, child development experts, pedagogues, academics and educators in the field. Our workshop held here today is a manifestation of this sensitivity.” made his assessment.
