President Erdoğan said, “We aim to offer Emlak Katılım to the public. We will merge Ziraat, Vakıf and Halk Katılım.” he said. President Erdoğan said, “There is no prosperity where there is interest. Participation finance is a more fair model for the whole world. The number of institutions in the field of participation finance is increasing.” gave his message.
Breaking news… President Erdoğan spoke at the 3rd World Islamic Economy Summit, held at the Istanbul Financial Center Halkbank Headquarters, under the auspices of the Presidency and within the scope of the AlBaraka Summit Series, of which Anadolu Agency is the “Global Communication Partner”.
Expressing his happiness to be with the participants for the summit, Erdoğan greeted the participants of the summit from different countries of the world as well as Türkiye.
Erdoğan wished that the panels, sessions and events within the scope of the summit, the determinations to be made here, the proposals and criticisms to be put forward will be beneficial for the countries, the Islamic world and all humanity.

Stating that he especially recommended the guests attending the summit from abroad to enjoy Istanbul, which has a different beauty in every corner, dazzling with its history, culture, architecture, green and blue, Erdoğan said that he believes that the guests will fondly remember the time they spent here and the spiritual atmosphere of Istanbul for many years to come.
Stating that the guests attending the summit conveyed the greetings and love of 86 million citizens to their brothers and sisters living in their country, Erdoğan fondly remembered Sheikh Salih Abdullah Kamil, the founder of AlBaraka Group and the leading figure of Islamic finance.
Erdogan also stated that he thanked Abdullah Saleh Kamel, who carried the ideas and ideals of the late Sheikh Saleh to today and strengthened the building he built with new structures.
“I SEE THIS SUMMIT AS A NEW MILESTONE”
President Erdoğan emphasized that extremely qualified discussions were held at the summit with the theme “Capital in the Islamic economy, structuring wealth for sustainable development” and continued as follows:
“Our academics, policy makers, and experts in their fields will thoroughly evaluate the role of capital in the Islamic economy with its intellectual, strategic, ethical, sector-based and practical dimensions. At the summit, where the new realities of our age such as digital transformation and governance will be discussed, lessons learned from national and regional experiences will also be scrutinized. From international investments and regional finance integration to digital Islamic banking, from capital formation and financial intermediation mechanisms to the role of Islamic capital at macro and microeconomic levels, from the use of artificial intelligence tools to the role of foundations as productive capital.” I would like to express that I see the summit as a new milestone in terms of overcoming existing obstacles and developing alternative solutions.”
President Erdoğan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Presidential Investment and Finance Office, Turkey Wealth Fund, Istanbul Finance Center, Islamic Cooperation Youth Form and Ibn Haldun University, who contributed to the organization of the summit, especially AlBaraka Form.
Erdogan also congratulated the partners of the organization, Halkbank, Turkish Airlines, Anadolu Agency and Demirören Media.
President Erdoğan stated that, as the Islamic world, they have been struggling with many crises simultaneously on different fronts in recent years.
President Erdoğan said, “Israeli atrocities in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem still continue despite the ceasefire. The Zionist massacre network is expanding its reckless occupation and invasion policy from the south of Lebanon to the interior of Beirut day by day.” he said.
Stating that the Iran-centered war has negatively affected not only the sister countries in the Gulf, but also the whole world, with the passages in the Strait of Hormuz coming to a halt, Erdoğan said, “Unfortunately, the climate of trust and stability in our geography is being increasingly destroyed by the effects of war, crisis, quarrel between brothers and uncertainties. We are living in days when a global rupture has occurred, especially in the field of economy and finance, and the tremors are felt in almost every country, regardless of the level of development.” he said.
Erdoğan stated that he wanted to share an alarming figure and said:
“A report recently published by the Institute of International Finance shows that global debt has reached 350 trillion dollars in the first quarter of 2026. How sustainable this debt burden is is a serious question that needs to be answered for the future of the global economy. I have to express this clearly. You cannot treat diseases that require surgery with dressings. The current global system has unfortunately irresponsibly squandered many opportunities in the last 20 years.”
“WE EXPRESS THAT WE ARE NOT DOMINATED TO A SINGLE SYSTEM IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS”
Emphasizing that the global financial architecture based on debt and interest preferred to sweep the problem under the carpet with palliative steps instead of eliminating the root causes of the crisis after the 2008 crisis, Erdoğan said, “At the point we have reached today, we can all see this truth. Financial crises cannot be prevented without switching to an economic and financial paradigm centered on the principles of justice, morality, production and fair sharing. Unless these problems arising from the system itself are solved, we cannot avoid experiencing the same problems at different intervals.” He said his words.
President Erdoğan said, “Our determination that ‘The world is bigger than 5’ covers not only the international conjuncture where rules and values are ignored, but also economic and commercial relations based on inequality and exploitation. When we say ‘A more just world is possible’, we also express that we are not helpless as the human family and that we are not condemned to a single system both in the economy and in international relations. We must further intensify our criticism and objections to the current global financial architecture and make more efforts to implement concrete alternatives.” made his assessment.
Erdoğan stated that the goals can be achieved faster if the principles of Islamic economics are adopted and this model is made the focus and starting point.
“THERE IS NO ABUNDANCE WHERE THERE IS INTEREST”
Referring to the concept of “abundance”, Erdoğan said, “Abundance, as defined by our late Erbakan Hodja, is believing that 1 lira of profit obtained through halal means is greater than 2 lira of profit obtained through unlawful means. Therefore, abundance is a concept that cannot be understood with capitalist economic theories. There is no abundance where there is interest. There is no abundance where there is exploitation, injustice, ethical and immoral competition. Only profit.” Abundance cannot find a place for itself in an environment where maximization and consumption ambition are taken into account and social welfare and justice are excluded.” he said.
President Erdoğan stated that Islamic economics is shaped on the basis of values such as justice, morality, virtue, risk sharing, sustainability and social welfare.
Stating that this understanding is based not only on economic development but also on strengthening the social structure and protecting the environment, Erdoğan stated that the system takes into consideration the protection of disadvantaged groups through charity, cooperation and solidarity.
President Erdoğan explained that Islamic economics is formed around values such as justice, morality, virtue, altruism, risk sharing, sustainability and social welfare.
Emphasizing that Islamic economics is based not only on economic development but also on strengthening the social structure and protecting the environment, Erdoğan said, “It considers charity, aid, solidarity and protecting disadvantaged groups. It should be the primary mission of all of us as Muslims to explain these values to the global economic actors and to amend, repair and revise the current system in the light of these characteristics. Of course, for this, we must sincerely believe in the concept of abundance, and most importantly, from our homes, streets and businesses.” “From now on, we must personally experience and keep alive the qualities represented by abundance.” he said.

BREAKING NEWS I President Erdoğan: Zero Waste movement has turned into a global mobilization
“43 MILLION CHILDREN ARE WRITING IN THE CLAWS OF HUNGER IN DIFFERENT REGIONS OF THE WORLD”
President Erdoğan stated that, according to the report published by the United Nations World Food Program, 43 million children are currently suffering from hunger in different parts of the world and said, “One third of the food produced in a year, that is, 1.3 billion tons, is wasted. Every year, more than 3 million children die in the prime of their lives as a result of hunger-related diseases.” he said.
Pointing out that the waste problem is also an important threat on a global scale, Erdoğan said, “This is a truly frightening example that reveals the dire dimensions of the problem of the 1.6 million square kilometer ‘garbage continent’ in the north of the Pacific Ocean, consisting of tons of waste and plastic, which my wife Emine Erdoğan brought up at the opening of the forum. The data we have shows that this problem will deepen rather than decrease. Solid waste, which is 2.1 billion tons in 2023.” “The amount is expected to increase to 3.8 billion tons in 2050 if no measures are taken.” he said.
President Erdoğan continued as follows:
“As Turkey, we see nature both as a legacy entrusted to us by our Lord and as a legacy that must be handed over to future generations, and we meticulously take the necessary steps in terms of environment, climate and waste management. We act with an approach based on green transformation, circular economy and sustainable development, and make intense efforts to minimize the effects of the climate crisis. The Zero Waste Movement, which was launched in 2017 under the leadership of my wife Emine Erdoğan, is today a global environment accepted by the United Nations.” “In 2022, Türkiye was the main presenter and 105 countries were the co-hosts, and the declaration of March 30 as International Zero Waste Day was the most valuable fruit of sincere efforts in this direction.”
“WE WILL CONTINUE OUR WORK WITH DETERMINATION IN LINE WITH OUR 2053 NET ZERO EMISSION TARGET”
President Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
“With the projects and practices implemented with the zero waste movement, we contributed 365 billion liras to our economy. We recycled 90 million tons of waste. We prevented the cutting down of 613 million trees. We prevented the emission of 180 million tons of greenhouse gases, which corresponds to the carbon emissions of 36 million trees. We saved 2 trillion liters of water, 270 billion kilowatt-hours of energy, 60 billion liters of oil and 390 million cubic meters of waste storage space. “Our recovery rate, which was 13 percent in 2017, increased to 37.53 percent in 2025, almost 3 times. We will increase this rate to 60 percent in 2035 and hopefully to 70 percent in 2053. We will continue our work determinedly in line with our 2053 net zero emission target.”
Erdoğan, who turned the Zero Waste Movement, which started in 2017 as a symbol of environmental sensitivity and a deep awareness of responsibility towards future generations, into a global environment and climate struggle in a short period of 9 years, wholeheartedly thanked all the workers, especially those who inspired and pioneered the movement, and hoped that the forum would be beneficial.
President Erdoğan was accompanied by his wife Emine Erdoğan at the gala dinner.
In the program where the short film “Türkiye with Seasons” was watched, Zero Waste Foundation President and COP31 High Level Climate Champion Samed Ağırbaş also made a speech.
A video about the Zero Waste Movement and the vision of the forum was also shown in the program.

BREAKING NEWS I President Erdoğan: Waste problem is a global threat
Breaking News… President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the gala dinner of the ‘Zero Waste Forum’ held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport…
Highlights from President Erdoğan’s speech:
“I wholeheartedly congratulate you on your Istanbul Zero Waste Week. I hope that our exhibitions that raise the awareness of both our children and our visitors will bring good things.
This forum, attended by more than five thousand participants, shows the level Türkiye has reached. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to the forum with their ideas and criticism. I hope that the new steps to be taken will be beneficial in advance.
The climate issue is a serious problem that threatens all of humanity, just like war and global epidemics. The impact of these problems is felt even more in a very wide area. Throughout billions of years of world history, the climate has changed in every era. The main issue here is to solve it without causing a crisis.
The countries that have the biggest share in the deepening of the climate crisis are also the countries least affected by this crisis. While there is no drinking water on one side, luxury and rudeness continue on the other side. 43 million children are in the grip of hunger.
We are living in a period where artificial intelligence and new technologies accelerate production and unconscious consumption habits harm nature.
With the Zero Waste movement, 365 billion liras were contributed to our economy. “We prevented 180 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions.”

In other words, the incident takes place within the CHP. There is such a disrespectful image within themselves that they call their leader, whom they previously tried to explain to Türkiye as a candidate of the six-party table, ‘traitor’. What our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said AK Party is not and will not be anywhere in these discussions that spill over from the court corridors to the streets.” he said.

Crisis is at the doorstep on Tuesday – Last Minute News
The “absolute nullity crisis”, which started from the headquarters between the two wings of the CHP, spread to the corridors of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The official chairman, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, recently attracted attention with his statement, “Of course, we will have a group meeting on Tuesday.” In the statement made by the headquarters, it was announced that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu would take the podium at the group meeting on Tuesday and address the public. Former chairman Özgür Özel was expected to be in Manisa that day due to the death anniversary of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek. However, according to the latest information, Özel once again raised the flag at the headquarters, changed his Manisa program and decided to come to the Parliament that day. If there is no change of mind on both wings until the last moment, the tension is expected to peak at the CHP’s meeting on Tuesday. In this unprecedented uncertainty, all eyes will be on the steps to be taken by the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
KILIÇDAROĞLU WILL COME ABOUT FETO
Addressing the party members at the headquarters on the last day of the holiday, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shook the agenda with his confession: “I apologize for not being able to detect the FETO agents among us in time. I apologize to you for feeding those heedless people who hoped for help from external sources.” According to party sources, it is considered that Kılıçdaroğlu, who will appear at the group podium in the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Tuesday, may give new messages regarding the emergence of FETO and his emphasis on “purification”.
SPECIALLY LIQUIDATED, 314 MEMBERS RETURNED TO CHP
In the Republican People’s Party (CHP), after Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu became the chairman again in line with the “absolute nullity” decision, 314 people rejoined the party. Party members were given their badges by Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency. Tekin announced that 29 thousand 316 people in Istanbul alone left the party due to resentments within the party.
