BREAKING NEWS | President Erdoğan’s message for a terror-free Türkiye: The winner will be 86 million
“WE WILL PRODUCE A TOTAL OF 500 THOUSAND SOCIAL HOUSES IN 81 PROVINCES”
Reminding that they promoted the largest social housing project in the history of the Republic in Başakşehir, Istanbul, the very next day after their return from their visit to Oman, Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
“We will produce a total of 500 thousand social houses in our 81 provinces in the housing project that we started by saying “Turkey is the host.” We will build 100 thousand of them in Istanbul. We will bring 30 thousand new houses to Ankara, 21 thousand to Izmir, 13 thousand to Bursa, Gaziantep and Konya, and 12 thousand to Hatay and Diyarbakır. In addition to the construction of 100 thousand houses in Istanbul, we will also build 15 thousand houses. We will rent it to our citizens under favorable conditions through TOKİ.
Our Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change shared details about both of our projects. Applications begin on November 10, 2025. We draw the draws in December. We will make the first delivery in March 2027, God willing. We will also decorate our cities with neighborhood mansions. I hope that our projects will be beneficial and auspicious once again.”
“OUR GOAL IS TO PLACE 250 ALTAYS AT THE ORDER OF OUR TURKISH ARMED FORCES”
President Erdoğan stated that they came before the nation again on October 28, on the occasion of a proud ceremony on behalf of the Turkish defense industry, and reminded that they opened the BMC Ankara Tank and New Generation Armored Vehicles Production Facility, which is one of the top three facilities in Europe and the top 5 facilities in the world.
Reminding that they made the first delivery of the national battle tank ALTAY, which successfully passed long tests, to the Turkish Armed Forces, Erdoğan said, “Our goal is to put 250 ALTAY tanks at the disposal of our Turkish Armed Forces within 6 years. I would like to once again wholeheartedly thank our BMC company, our Presidency of Defense Industries, every brother who contributed to the construction of the facility, especially our project partners.” he said.
Reminding that two important visits were held last week, where agreements that further strengthened the country’s air defense capacity were signed, Erdoğan reminded that they hosted first the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and then the German Chancellor Merz with their delegations in Ankara.
Erdoğan stated that they discussed all issues on their bilateral agenda, especially investment, trade and defense, with both guests, and that they started a new era in this field with the agreement on the supply of Eurofighter Typhoon warplanes, and continued his words as follows:
“While we are rapidly commissioning our local and national defense projects, we will also strengthen our defense cooperation with our European allies on a win-win basis. We will hopefully add our national combat aircraft KAAN to the inventory of our Air Force within the timetable we have determined. First of all, we are sure of this. Just as HÜRJET, our first national jet training and light attack aircraft, is playing for leadership in its field, when all the processes are completed, with God’s permission, KAAN will also push for the top in its own category. The Spanish government will push for the top in its category in the same way, with 45 aircraft launched last week. “We see the approval of the HÜRJET purchase as proof of our assertive stance. We have no doubt that this will come true. I hope Turkey will continue to make history in the defense industry, despite all its secret and open efforts to prevent it.”
“WE WILL CONTINUE WORKING NON-STOP AND WITHOUT REST
Emphasizing that they proudly celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic together as a nation, Erdoğan once again congratulated the citizens living at home and abroad and the Turkish Cypriot people on the 29 October Republic Day and said:
President Erdoğan said:
“On behalf of myself, my country and my nation, I would like to express my gratitude to all the friendly and brotherly countries that shared our joy of Eid. Likewise, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, our partner of the People’s Alliance, who celebrated the 102nd anniversary of our Republic with a meaningful gift he sent to us; to the esteemed chairmen of the political parties who honored our reception in our Social Complex; to all our guests and all our citizens who celebrated the 102nd anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm.” “I thank you. As the most successful team in the history of the Republic, we will continue to work tirelessly, together with our alliance partner and our nation, until we make the 2nd century of our Republic the Turkey Century.”
“OUR ISTANBUL HAS GAINED A GIANT GATHERING CENTER”
President Erdoğan stated that they inaugurated a magnificent work in the field of environment on Saturday, November 1.
Explaining that they offered the Atatürk Airport National Garden, which covers an area of one million 215 thousand square meters, to the service of Istanbulites and the beloved nation, Erdoğan said:
“Thus, we have brought Türkiye’s largest city park to our Istanbul, with its walking and cycling paths, sports fields, exhibition area, public cafeteria, park, pool and social facilities. God forbid, this place will also serve as a gathering center in times of disaster. 40 thousand tents can be set up in the event of a disaster in our nation’s garden, where the disaster management center is also located. In this way, our Istanbul has gained a huge gathering center where millions can take shelter against the risk of earthquakes, beyond a green area. Our Nation’s Garden is also located.” “I hope it will be auspicious for our Istanbul and our country once again. I heartily congratulate our Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and all my brothers who contributed.”
President Erdoğan emphasized that they have participated in many international events since the last cabinet meeting, made receptions in Istanbul and Ankara, that they strive to be worthy of the trust of the nation they entrust, and that they will continue to work hard for 86 million people without complacency and arrogance.
HOTEL FIRE CASE IN KARTALKAYA
Pointing out that tourism is one of the sectors where the biggest breakthrough has been experienced since 2002, Erdoğan said:
“Our number of visitors, which was 13.2 million 23 years ago, reached 62.3 million last year. Our tourism revenues increased from 12 billion dollars to 61.1 billion dollars in 2024. We have developed our sector in different areas, from health to congress and sports tourism, by removing it from the sand, sea and sun triangle. In fact, as Turkey, we have a very serious potential in areas such as health tourism, cultural tourism, faith tourism and nature sports. Every city in Anatolia is like a gap.” But we cannot fully utilize this unique potential yet. Unfortunately, recent tragedies due to reasons such as greed for profit, negligence or lack of precaution have cast an undeserved shadow on our sector.
In particular, the wounds inflicted on our hearts by the hotel fire in Kartalkaya on January 21, in which 78 of us lost our lives, are still fresh. Once again, I wish God’s mercy to our citizens who lost their lives, and I pray for patience for their grieving families. I believe that the court decisions announced recently have at least somewhat soothed the fire in our hearts. We will follow the next process as we have done so far. Of course, we have no problem with those who do their job properly. We blame those who earn money from the nation but do not take the necessary care to provide the nation with the service, security and comfort it deserves. “To be frank, we do not and will not make the slightest concession on this issue.”
TOURISM DATA
Erdogan stated that the progress of the tourism sector continues “despite both the unscrupulous people who are greedy for money and the tension and conflicts in the region.”
Reminding that the data for the first 9 months of 2025 in tourism was recently announced, Erdoğan made the following evaluations:
“Accordingly, the number of people visiting our country in the first 9 months of 2025 was 49 million 993 thousand. This figure means a 1.6 percent growth compared to the same period of the previous year. We are in a good place in tourism income compared to last year. In the first 9 months of 2025, our country achieved 50 billion dollars of tourism income. This is a three-quarter record of all time. Our income for the first 9 months increased by 5.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. These figures “I can say that we are taking firm steps towards our revenue target of 64 billion dollars by the end of 2025. An important data for us is the per capita nightly expenditure. In the first 9 months, the per capita spending of foreign visitors increased by 9 percent and reached 103 dollars. I hope these promising figures will be beneficial for our country and I congratulate everyone who contributed.” he said.
“WE WANT TO DEVOTE OUR RESOURCES TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT”
Erdoğan stated that Türkiye’s potential is much higher than these, and pointed out that especially the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions have not received what they deserve in tourism for many years, despite the natural and historical beauties that fascinate those who see them.
Emphasizing that the biggest reason for this is terrorism, Erdogan continued his words as follows:
“I hope we will completely remove this obstacle with the terrorism-free Turkey process. With the permanent end of the terrorist threat, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia will gain a very different momentum. Our regional cities will also rise in tourism. With God’s permission, no one will be able to stand in the way of a Türkiye that has strengthened its stability, security, peace, and especially its brotherhood. When this process is concluded successfully, Diyarbakir will win as much as Istanbul, Antalya will win, Van will win, Bitlis will win as much as Bursa.” “When we reach the goal of a terror-free Turkey, every member of the 86 million people will be the winner. Not only our country, but also all our brothers in the region, from Syria to Iraq, will benefit from the opportunities provided by the terror-free climate. This is why we do what we do, this is why we fight. Nothing can be achieved with terrorism, violence, weapons and separatist agendas. No good will come of this.”
President Erdoğan underlined that they hope everyone will see this simple truth and said, “We are the thousand-year-old residents and owners of this geography. Our future, like our past, is common, we are one and together. Especially in the last 40 years, we have experienced great pain and paid very heavy prices. We do not want to see any kind of terrorism anymore, neither in our country nor in the lands of our neighbors. We want to devote our resources to education, industry, agriculture, health, tourism, and in short, economic development. I hope this will happen.” We will succeed. We will definitely achieve this, both as a government and an alliance, and as a nation. We will build the happy and prosperous days of the future together. We will walk towards a bright future together, without falling apart, trusting each other, growing our commonalities, and approaching each other with empathy. May God bless our path. made his assessment.
President Erdoğan wished that the Cabinet Meeting and the decisions taken would be beneficial.

Support for Minister Tekin from 314 NGOs in 81 Provinces
Following the attacks in schools in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa, 314 non-governmental organizations from 81 provinces across Türkiye published a joint statement. In the text signed by national and local NGOs, the attacks were harshly condemned, while condolences were expressed to the students who lost their lives and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. In the statement, attention was also drawn to the recent discussions regarding the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin. NGOs stated that some circles developed discourses targeting Minister Tekin after the events and argued that this was an “ideological orientation”.
VALUES ARE TARGETED
NGO representatives claimed in their statements that the emphasis on values in education was targeted. In the text, which draws attention to the importance of strengthening concepts such as justice, compassion and solidarity in schools within the scope of the Türkiye Century Education Model, it is stated that this approach is tried to be weakened. The statement also made the following evaluations regarding the source of the violent incidents:
1-Associating a murderer with Islam means attributing the murder to religion. This is against both reason, science and conscience. The attackers’ mental world is not about the Ramadan table; It has been shaped by the ideology of violence nurtured in the dark corners of social media.
2-The majority of Anatolian people are Muslims. Keeping Ramadan alive in the schools of this nation’s children; It is not an obligation, it is a registration of the free choice of this nation. It is the greatest demand of our people to deliver mercy, compassion and solidarity to the hearts of needy people in the heart of Maarif. As a matter of fact, it happened.
3-Dear Minister Yusuf Tekin is a faithful statesman who protects the values of this nation and tries to rebuild the national identity and spiritual heritage in education. The attack carried out through him was not only against the minister; It is an attack on the nation of 85 million people it represents. 4-Violence is not caused by religion; It feeds on atheism, lack of spirituality, family disintegration, and the vulnerability of generations who cannot be raised without screens. The solution is not to remove spiritual values and Ramadan activities in schools; Our aim is to strengthen the moral ground, strengthen family ties and save our youth from the clutches of digital games and social media violence culture.
5-Those who commit this opportunistic political abuse; We invite those who choose to sharpen their pencils on a day when they should be mourning to be held accountable before their conscience, our nation and history.
RESPONSIBILITY MUST BE CORRECTLY DEFINED
The text emphasized that individual crimes should not be generalized based on social values and stated, “Attributing the crime committed by a person to a belief or social group is dangerous both scientifically and socially.” NGOs stated that discussions on education policies should be handled with common sense and called for social sensitivities not to be exploited.
REQUESTS ARE ALSO LISTED
The joint statement also included calls to authorized institutions:
-Strengthening school security both physically and psychologically
-Taking more effective measures against violent digital platforms
-Dissemination of social policies that support family structure
-Increasing controls to protect children from harmful content

After the workers, the civil servants also revolted in the CHP Karşıyaka Municipality: 455 civil servants staged a 1-day work stoppage.
KENT A.Ş., affiliated with CHP Karşıyaka Municipality, who has been receiving their salaries irregularly for 5 years in Izmir. Workers had protested many times on the grounds that they had not received their salaries for months. This time, civil servants took action in Karşıyaka Municipality, where the salary crisis continues. 455 civil servants staged a 1-day work stoppage on the grounds that their receivables were not paid. Civil servants gathered in front of the town hall and tried to make their voices heard by chanting various slogans.

WE ARE CREDITORS SINCE 2024
Making a statement on behalf of the group, Birlik Yerli-Sen Chairman Reşat Bozat said that a work stoppage decision was taken after the civil servants in Karşıyaka Municipality were not paid their receivables. Stating that each civil servant in Karşıyaka Municipality will receive 150 thousand liras as part of the social balance compensation since 2024, Bozat said: “We are not watching an intransigence here, but a systematic labor destruction and lawlessness carried out by the Mayor of Karşıyaka. The era of civility is over in this institution. The administration of Karşıyaka Municipality has exceeded its limits by trying to turn the sweat of the workers into an appetizer on the table. The authorized union has been working for three months.” “The Mayor, who stalled the workers, wasted time and brought the process to a dead end, came to us with an offer to ‘reduce your vested rights’. This offer is not a negotiation, but an operation to bring the workers to their knees.”

COMING TO THE OFFICER’S RIGHT, THERE IS NO MONEY IN THE SAFE.
Emphasizing that unpaid retroactive receivables are the future of their children, not the municipal budget, Bozat said, “We will not allow those who cannot manage the municipality’s coffers to put the bill on the workers and civil servants. Those who find resources for advertising signs, ostentation, and partisan projects should not embrace the lie of ‘there is no money in the coffers’ when it comes to the rights of workers and civil servants. This is a matter of choice, and we see that your choice is in favor of exploitation, not of the workers.” he said.

President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Digital Channels Commission Elmas: Platforms will support the work done by the state
In his statement, Chairman of the TBMM Digital Media Commission and AK Party Giresun Deputy Nazım Elmas wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the armed attack on a school in Kahramanmaraş and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Stating that they are trying to take precautions against negativities within the legal framework by working on social events in the digital field, Elmas touched upon the Social Services Law and the Bill on Amendments to Some Laws, which also includes regulations on social media and maternity leave.
Elmas said, “Articles 21, 22, 23 and 24 of this package introduce some regulations related to digital channels. This was a law study planned before the tragic events.” shared his knowledge.
Stating that technological changes are experienced very rapidly in this age, Elmas made the following evaluations:
“WE SEE THAT CHILDREN ARE DRAWN INTO NEGATIVENESS”
“Within these changes, it becomes clear that our children need education and awareness, especially regarding technology and the digital field, as well as a need for guidance and protection. Because we see that some games and some programs, which were first offered innocently to children, are later shifted to very different areas with commercial concerns, and children are sometimes drawn into such negativities for profit and profit purposes. Of course, this legal regulation we have made alone may not be enough to solve all the problems. This is a start, it is a responsibility that falls on this Parliament.”
Emphasizing the importance of families guiding and educating their children well, Elmas stated that the measures taken for children in schools are also valuable.
Regarding the collection of phones in schools, Elmas said, “We cannot hear from our children, their freedom is restricted.” Stating that he received criticisms, he said, “The measures taken are the studies that emerged by making some analyzes on the events encountered. It is useful to support and assist and to be in communication with the state, the school and the social environment by reading the measures to be taken in the future carefully and analyzing very well that these measures are planned for the benefit of young people and children.” he said.
Stating that non-governmental organizations should direct children to art, sports and positive activities against the negativities of the digital space, Elmas stated that families should be made aware of the digital space.
Nazım Elmas continued as follows:
“The child has his own room. The child has his own private life. Of course, the child will have a private life and a room of his own, but there are limits. Of course, he will continue to guide the child in a period when the family needs guidance and control. Maybe we set a goal for our children to be more free, but it is useful to remember that freedom is intertwined with responsibility.”
“DIGITAL MEDIA MUST ESTABLISH A CERTAIN PUBLICATION POLICY”
Pointing out the importance of communicating with digital platforms that do not have representatives in Türkiye, Elmas said:
“We invited digital space platforms from time to time in our Parliament and listened to them. They also answered the questions of our members of other political parties. Thus, we presented Türkiye’s demands and some of our expectations within the legal environment at this point. Of course, the commercial organization in front of us can set its own goals, but as a country, we also have to protect our children, think about the future of our children and announce that the Republic of Turkey is making some plans within itself. We are such a country and we work on it. “It continues, legal regulations are being made for it.”
Explaining that digital media also have responsibilities regarding the events that come to the fore in Türkiye, Elmas said, “Digital media have to put forward a certain broadcasting policy. In other words, each field has its own ethical principles. It must broadcast within the framework of these ethical principles.” he said.
Stating that it has become easier for digital media to use filtering systems using artificial intelligence in today’s age, Elmas said, “But apart from that, if a platform has a principled stance, it is certain that there will be no intention or effort to put in a broadcast from outside that is contrary to the principles of the platform within that principled stance, or to damage the reputation of the platform with that broadcast. Here, the platforms must first of all do something for the sake of humanity, for the sake of children. They need to show sensitivity for the sake of generations. There may be platforms that have certain expectations with commercial concerns, but these should not be the case either.” “There is a Turkey that has the power to always announce to them that it must control itself with ethical principles, that it must first control itself with ethical principles, and if it does not, it must comply with the laws, legislation, customs, traditions and traditions of the country in which it broadcasts.” he said.
Elmas, “Will Telegram representatives make a presentation at the Digital Mediums Commission?” In response to the question, he stated that the negotiations are continuing and said, “No matter what platform it is, if they show an attitude that will support the work done by the state and avoid giving the requested information in any way, at this point, there may be a new attitude, a new reaction or a new regulation with them based on this attitude.” he said.
Evaluating President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s statement that “it is important to implement technical measures against attempts to circumvent VPN attempts,” Elmas said, “Every regulation is made for a social benefit. Every regulation is made to achieve results at 100 percent efficiency. If there are other practices that will affect this result, it is natural to prevent them.” he said.
Elmas stated that everyone should see the issue of digital media as a national issue and said, “Without creating any unnecessary conflict or agenda on this issue, ‘What can I do?’ We want everyone to mobilize with this problem. There is definitely something that every single one of us, 86 million of us, can do for this. “I invite everyone to take part at this point.” he said.
