Despite the wedge policy of our competitors, we carried Türkiye to a distinguished position

Published

on

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the Ankara Esenboğa Airport 3rd Runway, New Tower and Supplementary Facilities Opening Ceremony:

THE TRUST OF THE NATION IS ON OUR SHOULDERS: As the government, we have been working with the awareness that we carry the trust of this beloved nation on our shoulders for 23 years. All our efforts; This is to ensure that the trust of the nation is not violated, our brotherhood is not overshadowed, and our nation’s head is not bowed down. Thank God, we have not compromised on our work and service policy despite the wedge policy of our opponents during our nearly quarter-century rule. We have undertaken huge investments, works and services in every field, from health to foreign policy, from education to justice, from defense to transportation, from education to industry.

WE HAVE REACHED Türkiye TO A DISTINGUISHED POSITION: With the projects we have implemented, we have brought Türkiye to a distinguished position both in its region and in the world. Now talked about on every platform; There is a Türkiye that is eagerly awaited as to what it will say and how it will act, and where ‘not the one who follows, but the one being followed’. We continue to work for our country and nation with the love of the first day. We do not lose our excitement, we do not decrease our love; We are walking confidently towards the future with new hopes and bigger goals. Today, we are fortunate to add a new link to our service chain.

THERE WILL BE NO POINT WE CANNOT REACH: We are making intense efforts in the aviation sector, as in other fields, to take our country to higher altitudes. As Türkiye, we are located in the center of 67 countries with a flight time of 4 hours. We have made major investments in the last 23 years to maximize the potential offered by this advantageous location and utilize it in the most effective way. With the aim of ‘There will be no point in the world that we cannot reach’, we have made Türkiye one of the countries with the largest flight network in the world. We increased the number of active airports, which was 26 in 2002, to 58 today with the Çukurova International Airport, which we put into service in 2024. This number will soon increase to 60 with our Yozgat and Bayburt-Gümüşhane airports under construction.

3RD IN EUROPE, 7TH IN THE WORLD: In the same period, we increased the number of countries with which we have Air Transport Agreements from 81 to 175, making Türkiye the country with the most air transport agreements in the world. We aim to sign an Air Transport Agreement with all 192 countries that are members of the International Civil Aviation Organization in the coming period. On the other hand, we increased the number of our international lines from 60 points in 50 countries to 356 points in 133 countries. In 2002, the number of passengers traveling on domestic and international routes was only 34.5 million; In 2025, this number exceeded 247 million. With this figure, we ranked 3rd in Europe and 7th in the world in terms of passengers. Our Istanbul Airport hosted approximately 84.5 million passengers last year, ranking 2nd in Europe and 7th in the world in terms of the number of passengers. Istanbul Airport, which the opposition did its best to prevent, continues its leadership in Europe with 550 thousand aircraft traffic.

PASSENGER CAPACITY WILL INCREASE TO 30 MILLION: In Esenboğa, where there was 37 thousand 421 aircraft and 2 million 836 thousand passenger traffic in 2002, aircraft traffic will increase to 103 thousand 928 in 2025; Passenger traffic increased by 8 percent to 13 million 987 thousand 298. 23.1 million of passenger traffic in Esenboğa in 2035; We predict that it will exceed 31.5 million in 2045. Thank God, today we have completed the 1st stage of our 2-stage project. In the second phase of our project, we will expand our terminal building by at least 40 thousand square meters; We will work on a minimum of 58 thousand square meters of apron and 18 thousand square meters of ‘pavement connection taxiway’. Thus, we will increase the annual passenger capacity of Esenboğa Airport from 20 million to 30 million. We realized this project, which has an investment value of 298 million euros, without leaving a single penny from our state’s coffers.

GIFT FROM MINISTER URALOĞLU

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu presented the model of the new traffic control tower built at Esenboğa Airport to President Erdoğan.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN VISION BETWEEN US AND THE OPPOSITION

In fact, with every investment we cut the ribbon on, the profound difference in vision between us and the opposition becomes apparent. Unlike those who turn the municipalities they govern into dens of bribery and extortion, those who make a living here and there with the nation’s money, those who bind citizens to extortion like a mafia, we use the resources of this country for the citizens of this country.

3RD RUNWAY AND AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER IN ESENBOĞA

Within the scope of this project, we built our 3rd runway with a width of 75 meters and a length of 3 thousand 750 meters, our air traffic control tower with a height of 77 meters, and a technical block with a size of 13 thousand 500 square meters. In addition, we have completed the construction of our new cargo apron with a capacity of 6 aircraft parking of 85 thousand square meters and a covering area of 945 thousand square meters, including the taxi and service roads connected to them.

HE SOLUTED CRISIS WITH GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

Türkiye, which was the voice of justice, conscience and diplomacy in moments of crisis when the world was locked down, has become a country that produces solutions to global problems under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In the crisis line stretching from the Middle East to Africa, from Karabakh to Gaza, Türkiye is no longer just a regional country; global solution partner.

Thanks to the Grain Corridor Agreement, which was implemented with the initiative of Türkiye during the Russia-Ukraine War, the global food crisis was overcome and millions of people were provided with access to food. Prisoner exchanges were also carried out under the mediation of Türkiye.

Regional balances have changed with the strong support given to Azerbaijan’s rightful struggle in Karabakh.

Diplomatic initiatives to protect the territorial integrity of Iraq, steps prioritizing peace in Syria and effective mediation in the Qatar crisis have reinforced Türkiye’s role as a stabilizing country.

Türkiye became hope for the future of Africa with its multi-layered model in Somalia, from security to infrastructure, from education to governance.

Türkiye, which provides hope of life to millions with humanitarian aid in Yemen, became the voice of the oppressed in the Rohingya crisis.

Continuing its principled stance on the Palestinian issue, Türkiye was effective in the ceasefire in Gaza. Resul Ekrem ŞAHAN / ANKARA

Olive grove massacre brought resignation – Last Minute News

Published

on

SABAH revealed a big scandal before the rally called “We Protect the Will of the Nation, We Do Not Give Our Olives, Air, Water, and Land” held by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel in Muğla’s Milas district yesterday, in order to protect the so-called olive trees. It was revealed that CHP Milas District Chairman Ahmet Kılbey cut down 27 olive trees, each of which was at least 100 years old, on a land in the district. The scandal, which was announced by SABAH with the headline “First the massacre, then the rally”, confused the CHP.

IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION

After the scandal emerged, CHP Milas District Chairman Ahmet Kılbey resigned from his post yesterday, before Özgür Özel’s rally. In the statement made by the CHP Muğla Provincial Directorate, it was stated that “Our party’s vision and strong stance in the locality is an unshakable whole that is always above personal opinions. In this regard, our Milas District Chairman resigned from his position in the light of the recent developments, in order to prevent any damage to our determined march under the leadership of our Chairman and the disciplined stance of our organization.”

HERE IS THE IMAGE OF THE MASSACRE

SABAH has accessed the footage of the olive massacre. In the footage, it was seen that centuries-old olive trees were being slaughtered with construction equipment.

HE ANNOUNCED THE SCANDAL IN THE MORNING

In the scandal that SABAH reported yesterday on the headlines, it was revealed that 27 olive trees, each of which was at least 100 years old, were slaughtered on February 12, on a 3-decare land, which was an olive field, located in Dipsarnıç, Menteş District of Milas, on February 12. After Muğla Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and Milas District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams kept a report, it was determined that the land in question belonged to CHP Milas District Chairman Ahmet Kılbey. While Kılbey said that he transferred the land to his son-in-law Cenk Soydan on December 29, 2025, on February 13, Kılbey was fined 49 thousand 15 TL for removing 27 olive trees on the property, which is an olive field, without permission. It was claimed that Kılbey intended to build on the land.

REACTION FROM MINISTER YUMAKLI

‘YOU COME TO THE SQUARE AND TALK ABOUT PROTECTING OLIVE TREES’

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, in his post, said, “Those who do not leave the floor to anyone, saying that we will defend trees and nature when it comes to the matter, remained silent while dozens of olive trees were being massacred by the Muğla Milas CHP District Chairman. Is it free for CHP members to cut down 100-year-old olive trees? You are good at lying to our nation. And you go to the squares and talk about protecting olive trees. Protecting nature is not possible with words, but with sincerity and consistency. It is important for our nation to protect the environment.” “I leave this double standard, which says sensitivity and plays profit games in the background, to the discretion of our beloved nation,” he said.

WHAT KIND OF TREE LOVE IS THIS?

AK Party Muğla Provincial Chairman Cengizhan Güngör said, “CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is holding an ‘Olive Rally’ in Milas. However, there is a very painful truth that Özel should know. The murderer of the olives he came to defend is his own district chairman. Özel should have canceled this rally. It has been revealed in all its nakedness how CHP Milas District Chairman Ahmet Kılbey, who made an environmentalist show through Akbelen just a few days ago, brutally cut down the olives. Özgür We ask Özel: How will you talk about the love of trees to the people of Milas, when the ‘licensed olive slaughter’ network that your district chairman established with his son-in-law is evident? The resignation of your district chairman, who was caught red-handed, is not enough to cover up this organized insincerity. AK Party Muğla Deputy Kadem Mete said, “Your district chairman cut down the olive groves through hullah. He adopted this method to open his own land for construction, just like the other land opened for construction next to it. There is a consensual action here. Organized hypocrisy. The district chairman gave a power of attorney to his son-in-law, who is a manager in the municipality, to carry out transactions related to the land. The man destroyed the olives first.”

Bayraktar TB3 made history in NATO exercise

Published

on

Bayraktar TB3, developed by Baykar and being the world’s first UAV capable of taking off and landing from short-runway ships, brought the operational capability on TCG ANADOLU to the international arena. Bayraktar TB3 UCAV successfully completed its first operational demonstration abroad within the scope of Steadfast Dart 2026, one of NATO’s most comprehensive exercises. TB3, which took off autonomously in the sea area of the exercise, fired a double MAM-L salvo at the designated surface target and destroyed the target. TB3 landed safely on the ship after the operation. It considers the presence of TCG ANADOLU and Bayraktar TB3 duo in the Baltic Sea as one of the most critical elements of allied deterrence within the framework of NATO defense plans.

“DETERRENT” POWER IN THE BALTIC SEA

3 Bayraktar TB3s currently serving in TCG ANADOLU were closely monitored by NATO allies. It is planned that two UCAVs will carry out coordinated operations in the later stages of the exercise. At this stage, while one platform uses MAM-L ammunition, the other platform is expected to fire with MAM-T, which has higher destructive power.

Baykar, which received the Champions of Export Award by being among the top 10 exporting companies in all sectors in Türkiye in 2023 and 2024, became the export leader of the defense and aerospace sector according to the data of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Baykar, which alone carried out one-third of the sector’s exports in 2023, carried out one-fourth of the total exports of the defense and aerospace sector in 2024, making Türkiye a leader in the global UAV export market. Baykar, the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicle company, has signed export agreements with 36 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 SİHA and with 16 countries so far for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, a total of 37 countries.

WHY IS STEADFAST DART IMPORTANT?

What makes the 2026 leg of the exercise special is that our Bayraktar TB3 UCAV took the stage. While our national UAV proves to the world how unmanned systems will direct modern naval warfare by taking off from short-runway ships such as TCG ANADOLU and hitting targets with full accuracy, it also confirms Türkiye’s deterrent power in this field. On the other hand, he shared a post about our 66th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, which served in an exercise in NATO.

“4th European Turkish Media Summit” was held in Germany

Published

on

The “4th European Turkish Media Summit” was held in Gelsenkirchen, Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) state. The event organized by the European Union of Turkish Press and Journalists (ATGB) was attended by members of the press from various countries in Europe, as well as politicians and representatives of various associations.

AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu made a statement to the AA correspondent after his speech here. Zorlu stated that they aim to unite the power of the Turkish world diaspora and said, “Recently, the relations between the Turkish world, especially within the organization of Turkish states, continue to grow and grow. An important pillar of these strengthened relations is to bring together our diaspora power.” he said.

Pointing out that there are nearly 20 million Turks living in various countries of the world outside Türkiye, Zorlu pointed out the importance of both the media and non-governmental organizations in strengthening the Turkish diaspora.

Zorlu pointed out that the recent global fractures in the world, searches for new alliances, and developments taking place in different geographies have also affected Türkiye, and said: “Today, the Republic of Turkey has reached the position of a growing country, strengthened by its national defense industry, which is honorable, independent, and able to make its own decisions in its region, against these fractures, geographical tests, and all the crises that are coming to our door.

In response to these challenges in our nearby geography, Türkiye has become a country that takes steps and follows these steps not only here but also in different geographies against these crises and chaotic processes. “Türkiye has now become a mediator country whose words and beliefs are trusted in calming down many ongoing conflict climates in Africa, the Black Sea, the South Caucasus, the Middle East and Asia.”

Giving the good news that they will implement an important project, Zorlu said, “We will turn the Turkish world civil society workshop, which we held for the first time last year, into a big symposium this year and we will implement a large digital system. The Turkish world civil society support system. With this system, today, we are gathering all the non-governmental organizations in the Turkish world under one roof and linking them with all our institutions in Türkiye. With the click of a button, hopefully all these non-governmental organizations will be gathered in a common network, and our cooperation will continue much stronger.” he said.

Referring to Türkiye’s relations with the EU, Zorlu said: “Today, the collapse in the global system, especially the existence of societies that are rapidly moving away from civilizational values, carries the Republic of Turkey to a very important point, both in its region and in the world, and in the alliances with which it has relations. What did our President say? ‘Turkey is the last exit before the bridge for the European Union.’ In this regard, yes, we see relations with the European Union as strategically important and we want to continue our path in this sense. However, we want our friends in Europe to know this very well: Today, Turkey has become a very important new center of excitement for the EU, with its growing, strengthening, increasing population, dynamic structure and rising cooperation area with these Turkish states I mentioned. From this perspective, this mission that Türkiye has undertaken in many areas from Europe to Asia, from Europe to the Eastern Mediterranean, has great meaning for all of us, for humanity, and for the peace and tranquility of our regions.” At the end of the program, Kürşad Zorlu was given the “Turkish World Service Award”.

Minister Göktaş: “We are implementing our social media regulation very soon”

Published

on

Minister Göktaş stated in his post on his NSosyal account that people cannot focus for more than 8 seconds anymore. Underlining that this constant state of stimulation harms children more, Göktaş said, “This is exactly why, as in many countries around the world, we are soon implementing our social media regulation to protect our children.” he said. Göktaş’s post also included a video in which he made a statement on the subject. Emphasizing that the video in question should be played with play dough in order to be watched more carefully, Göktaş said that just talking is not enough to watch videos on social media, different movements should also be displayed.

Minister Göktaş: We are implementing our social media regulation very soon

Minister Göktaş said:

“Continuously scrolling the screens on social media has become so normal that we no longer focus on a subject for more than 8 seconds. This constant state of stimulation harms our children more than it does us. Our children’s attention span has decreased by at least 30 percent in the last 10 years. This directly affects their focus, friendship relations, and success rates at school. This has made the teaching process of our teachers very difficult. For this very reason, social media regulations for children are being discussed and implemented all over the world. We want to provide a safer internet environment for our children.” We want support from you, our parents, and our teachers in this regard. Together, we can make safe internet possible for our children.”

The most important detail revealed by the NATO exercise in Germany: Power is no longer measured by what is owned, but by what can be put into action.

Published

on

According to information received from security sources, strategic deployment can be defined as the ability of a state to transfer its military units, vehicles and logistics elements from its own territory to another region in a planned manner. This process is not just about transportation; It refers to a multi-stage action capacity, starting from the planning and preparation of the force, including deployment, organization in the forward area, maintenance during the mission and return after the mission. In this respect, strategic deployment is one of the basic elements of the broader concept of force transfer. Because the success of an army that can serve in distant geographies; It depends on the co-operation of transportation facilities, logistics continuity, air and sea transportation capacity and planning skills. Therefore, the value of military power is revealed by the ability to use these systems in the right place at the right time, rather than the systems in the inventory.

WHY IS STRATEGIC TRANSITION SO IMPORTANT?

Today, in the world military balance, strategic deployment is considered a direct indicator of deterrence. The ability of a state to quickly and effectively shift its forces out of the homeland has become a factor that affects not only military planning but also the decision processes of rival actors. For this reason, in modern military doctrines, strategic mobility is considered one of the basic conditions of being a great power. In this context, large-scale exercises give several important messages from a military perspective. Portability of force has now become a determining factor in military success. Logistics infrastructure, transportation capacity and planning skills directly affect operational success. Additionally, strategic deployment capability is also seen as an indicator of political power. An army that can quickly reach distant geographies has the opportunity to manage crises beyond its borders, gives confidence to its allies and increases its deterrence.

WHAT DOES STEADFAST DART 26 MEAN FOR Türkiye?

Steadfast Dart 26, the largest exercise of the year organized by NATO in Germany, is an important platform where these capabilities are tested. Türkiye’s participation with approximately 2 thousand personnel should be seen as an opportunity for the Turkish Armed Forces to test their mobility. This participation does not mean replacing any ally – especially the USA – or filling any power vacuum. The main goal is for Türkiye to test and develop its own strategic deployment capacity and make it visible within the alliance. Such exercises also reveal the importance of logistics mobility in the European security architecture. For NATO, rapid force transfer means testing the functionality of transportation lines and connection points within the continent as well as the transfer of troops. Turkey stands out as one of the facilitators of this mobility with its geographical location, transportation infrastructure and operational experience.

WHAT MAKES Türkiye DIFFERENT?

The prominent aspect of Türkiye in the exercise is the quality of participation. While some countries are involved with mostly headquarters elements or limited troop contributions, Türkiye has troops that can be deployed to the field and perform missions. This situation makes Türkiye’s role in the exercise more evident. Since the Cyprus Peace Operation, Turkish Armed Forces have carried out cross-border or overseas force transfer activities in different geographies such as the north of Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Somalia, Kosovo, Qatar, Libya and the north of Syria. These operations, carried out under different conditions, provided the Turkish Armed Forces with significant force deployment and maintenance experience. This accumulation shows that strategic transfer capacity has ceased to be a theoretical planning topic and has also developed in practice. Türkiye’s capacity to jointly use land, air and sea transportation elements is also one of the prominent elements. Strategic mobility is considered a capacity that requires the use of these elements together. In modern military doctrines, such versatile transportation possibilities are considered decisive in terms of rapid reaction and operational flexibility.

In this context, Türkiye’s possession of A400M transport aircraft and platforms such as TCG Anadolu means an important leap in terms of institutional strengthening of its strategic deployment capacity. Especially considering the role of maritime transportation in sustainable force transfer to distant geographies, such platforms increase Türkiye’s access speed to crisis areas and operational continuity. Türkiye’s participation in the exercise with local and national systems also revealed that its strategic deployment capacity is now supported by domestic defense infrastructure. In light of these developments, Steadfast Dart 26 is a concrete capacity test for Türkiye. While the exercise allows the Turkish Armed Forces to test their rapid deployment capacity in the European geography, it also reveals that Türkiye’s role within NATO is not limited to regional defense only. In this table, Türkiye stands out as one of the active countries that contribute to the overall mobility of the alliance. As a result, strategic transfer capability is at the center of the modern understanding of warfare. Being strong today means being able to quickly deploy and sustain that power when necessary. Türkiye’s presence in NATO exercises is a reflection of this capacity. Because power is no longer measured by what is owned, but by what can be put into action; Deterrence is built on this speed and sustainability. In today’s security environment, strategic deployment has become one of the main power indicators that determine the global position of states.
