In the study, which draws attention to the opportunities offered by new communication technologies as well as their risks and threats, many current issues from technology addiction to cyber bullying, from personal data breach to digital literacy are discussed with a family-centered approach.
In the work, which evaluates the steps to be taken to strengthen family communication and ties between family members, the effects of technological developments on family life and current problems that arise in this process are discussed.
“FAMILY IS THE STRONGEST SHELTER AND SAFE HARBOR”
In his introduction to the book, President Erdoğan stated that the family is the oldest and most powerful institution that transmits the values of civilization from generation to generation, forms the basis of the social structure, and constitutes the essence and substance of society.
Stating that people first learn concepts and emotional values about life in the family environment, Erdoğan emphasized that mercy, compassion and empathy are gained within the family.
Pointing out that the family, which ensures the transfer of love, respect and cultural values from generation to generation, also has an important role in teaching national and spiritual values to children, Erdoğan said, “For people, family is the strongest shelter and safest harbor where they feel safe.” he said.
Erdoğan stated that with the rapid development of technology in recent years, there have been significant changes and transformations in many areas of life, and the family has also been affected by these digital transformations.
Erdogan said:
“It is our common duty to protect our children and young people from harmful trends, thoughts that erode our values, and all kinds of mentalities that threaten our family and social structure. In such a period, we continue the ‘Year of the Family’, which we declared in 2025, with great determination and excitement, in order to further strengthen our family institution, strengthen the ties between our generations and reinforce our social solidarity.”
“STRONG INDIVIDUAL, STRONG FAMILY, STRONG SOCIETY”
Reminding that they have implemented many studies regarding the family in 2025, Erdoğan made the following evaluations:
“In order to develop family policies with a long-term, holistic and sustainable approach, we declared the period 2026-2035 as the 10 Years of Family and Population. In this context, we will continue to protect, strengthen and transfer the family institution to future generations by acting with the understanding of ‘strong individual, strong family, strong society’. We will realize our Turkey Century goals in cooperation with a strong society built on strong families.”

Last minute | Ümit Dikbayır resigned from his party, CHP
Breaking news… CHP’s Ümit Dikbayır resigned from his party. Ümit Dikbayır announced the decision in a statement on his social media account.
Ümit Dikbayır stated the following in his resignation statement:
The reason for this decision is not the history, base or values of the Republican People’s Party. My objection; Even though he occupied the highest positions in this party, he still cannot take the party out of the shadow of his personal calculations, resentments and political ambitions.
While Türkiye needs tranquility, reason and a sense of responsibility; I do not accept that the Republican People’s Party has become a tool for one person’s endless showdowns. The offices of the party founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk cannot be the scene of personal prosperity and rematches of the past. I do not find it right that a party that is supposed to be a hope for Türkiye should be dragged into polarization, purges and political intrigues for the sake of the personal settlement of a person who has been appointed to office.
My objection is not to the Republican People’s Party; It belongs to those who turn the legacy of the Republic into a means of maintaining their own political existence. For this reason, I resign from the membership of the Republican People’s Party.

Record in defense industry exports – Breaking News
Türkiye’s rise in the defense industry has reached remarkable levels. Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced that Türkiye’s defense industry exports, which were made in a year 20 years ago, are now realized in a week. Görgün said, “We export 240 million dollars in a week and approximately 1 billion dollars in defense industry per month.” Speaking at the Future AI Summit 26 hosted by Bahçeşehir University, Görgün emphasized that the transformation experienced in the defense industry in recent years is not limited only to production capacity, but the power of technology development has also increased significantly.
GIANT LEAP IN 20 YEARS
Saying that Türkiye has made a great breakthrough in the field of defense industry in the last 20 years, Görgün stated that the increase in export figures is the most concrete indicator of this. Stating that Türkiye has become a manufacturer that not only meets its own needs but also has a say in the global market, Görgün pointed out the success especially in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. Emphasizing that it is of strategic importance for Türkiye to produce UAVs and UCAVs, which dominate 65 percent of the world market in their class, Görgün said that behind this success are strong human resources and technology investments.
CRITICAL CALL TO YOUTH
Pointing out that the role of young people is critical in the success of the defense industry, Görgün said that the average age of employees in the sector is quite young. Stating that the average age has dropped to 28 in some technology companies, Görgün emphasized that young people should be at the center of production processes in order for Türkiye to remain strong in the technology race. Addressing young people, Görgün called on them to “Be engineers of technology, not spectators.”
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS CHANGING THE BALANCES
Touching on the transformative effect of artificial intelligence in the defense industry at the summit, Görgün said that this technology stands at a different point from other technological leaps in human history. Görgün said, “For the first time, a technology is trying to be added to our minds. Artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool; it is a strategic power that transforms mind, production and decision mechanisms.”

At Future AI Summit 26, organized this year with the theme of “Redesigning Intelligence”, the impact of artificial intelligence in many areas from education to defense, from health to entrepreneurship is discussed. Troubles offer us new opportunities
“ALLY for Future: Young Muslim Women Leadership Program” started in Ankara. Delivering a speech titled “Women Making a Difference: Examples of Leadership in the Struggle for Human Rights” at the event held at the hotel in the capital, ALLY for Future Founder and President of the Women’s Advisory Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Esra Albayrak said that young women from 25 countries came to the program and that they met for the 3rd time in the women’s leadership program, which they laid the foundations of with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Women’s Advisory Council, which they worked to establish 10 years ago.
Albayrak showed the participants the images of a doctor and nurse performing surgery with a phone light, an engineer trying to bring clean water with limited resources, and a mother trying to maintain her child’s routine in a war environment. Pointing out that women who lead society in the world’s most difficult conditions are almost never seen in the world’s dominant leadership narrative, he asked: “Why don’t we see women in this dominant narrative?” Emphasizing that they had to ask the question, Albayrak said that the answer dates back to the founding of the modern world. Emphasizing that their languages, colors and cultures may seem different, but they look at the horizon with the same faith and shoulder the burden of the same age together, Albayrak said:
“On the one hand, we, women, bear the weight of wars, migrations, and rising Islamophobia the most, as in every period of history. On the other hand, we are struggling to express ourselves within a map drawn by someone else’s definitions. I see many young women among you who feel the weight of these burdens intensely on their shoulders. Dear young friends, remember that that burden is your only opportunity. That burden is your treasure, not the one that oppresses you, but the one that lifts you up, makes you walk tall, and creates the steel will to stand against the unfair world. It is the treasure of history. When you look at those who change their direction, you see those who have the courage to lift the burden on their shoulders, that is, those who have a problem, those who have a problem that will get them out of bed early every morning. We may not all have to pay the same price, but we must have a cause, a problem for which we are willing to risk death.
BECAUSE HE IS HUMAN…
Underlining that he was not talking about artificial problems imported from the agendas of other centers, Albayrak said, “I am talking about the cause of establishing our own story, constructing our own narrative, and making an understanding that sees humans as valuable just because they are human, dominant in the world.”
Albayrak said, “This problem is much more critical in our current period because we are currently standing on two great thresholds of history.”
“We talk about the troubles, but we witness that the same troubles create an opportunity. On one side, Gaza… It clearly shows us the moral bankruptcy of the established global order and so-called universal values. That map we have been talking about from the beginning is literally crumbling before our eyes. This is a historical threshold. On the other hand, it is a beginning that has not yet been written. Artificial intelligence is the technocolonial order that we see can be rebuilt with artificial intelligence. Humanity is in the beginning days of perhaps the greatest transformation since the printing press. This transformation is either the existing unjust system or the beginning of it.” “The old map is collapsing, the new map has not been drawn yet, the moral codes have not been written yet, but we may have the opportunity to be at the table of the new order. We, as young people, must be candidates for this.”
Albayrak thanked the Ministry of Family and Social Services for bringing them together in the program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other institutions for their support.
THE MOST PRIMARY SUBJECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT MARCH
In his opening speech, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said, “Women, who were once excluded from university gates, public institutions and working life due to their beliefs and clothes, have today become the most essential subjects of Türkiye’s development march.” Göktaş noted the following: – The rate of female university students, which was 14 percent in 2002, will be 53 percent in 2025.
– The rate of female lecturers, which was 36 percent in 2002, is 53 percent today.
– Women’s representation in the Turkish Grand National Assembly increased to 19.8 percent.
– 40 percent of judges and prosecutors are women.
